    That picture makes the cockpit of the LEGO set seem far too large too. But look at the beautiful curved wheel arches that hug the wheels so nicely. The more I see the LEGO version, the more the blocky it looks around the wheels and really spoils the effect. It's as though someone has built a BTAS kit car over a jeep chassis and kept the fenders!

    Yet another demonstration that Friends is better than City. It feels like Friends sets make use of animals in a more diverse range of play scenarios than City does, and they can stretch the nature of the interactions a little more from reality, so they can be included in a lot more of the sets.

    The BTAS Batmobile looks generally good, and I'm so pleased they did it in blue. The guns look terrible and are completely out of scale, but I get it, it's a playset and that's the size of those pieces, but it looks really unbalanced. I may try to figure out the best way to replace the 1x3 inverted tiles with standard tiles to avoid the holes in it. The wheel arches are disappointing too. They're too square, and I wish they were able to better create the curve to match the wheel. And the lack of a printed windscreen for the split screen A pillar is a shame. That's an iconic part of it they've missed for seemingly no other reason than cost saving. And yet it costs $60? It seems so overpriced for what it is. I do like it, but for the price feel they could have done better.

    If they're priced right, they're amazing. Really fun and creative. But I could see them being overly expensive.

    The non-space ones look OK? Every time I see another new nod towards wild west, I regret not getting the Bricklink Designer Program General Store a little bit more. But nothing across any of them that really jumps out.

    Nice. I was pleased that I knew some of those from the actual movies (2, 4, 9, and 10), and then some from LEGO sets 5, 8, 11, 13, 14). I did like the look of the Nebulon-B Frigate when it was released, and hope they do another. It's an interesting shape and gets you away from every set being, very crudely, a grey wedge. In fact, that's rather inspired me to piece together a Nebulon-B Frigate, and add it to the others I have. I don't need the sticker, and the only other expensive parts are a light grey fez and a dark grey three-toothed plate, both of which are available in pearl grey, which is close enough. BrickHunter tells me it's $45 to get from Pick a Brick. Given inflation the last three years, you could even describe that as being cheaper than when it was first released! OMG! Cheapest on Bricklink is $140 in Hong Kong. One in Canada, then the rest in the US starting from $165. Definitely PAB for parts, instead of a $100-$120 box, sticker, and a 12 slightly different coloured pieces.

    What would be your list, out if curiosity. I've only seen the movies once, so mostly know things from pop culture references. I don't know if an X-wing at this scale would have the same appeal, but thinking about it, it could work.

    I can understand the sentiment of keeping minifig sets as playsets. LEGO is clearly a toy and should always be. But I have to say, the only LEGO Star Wars sets I have are a couple of UCS sets, some dioramas, and midiscale ships. I wonder if they found that they open up a further audience for them, hence a greater push to 18+, perhaps more so than other lines? Agreed that they could well over do the midiscale ships. If me happy if they released an SSD and that was it. Maybe a Venator, as the UCS set is cool, and I like the shape and color scheme. But yes, it quickly gets into obscure stuff at this scale. Fewer sets or year over longer period would be my preference, although they may find that a three year span is optimal for sales.

    There will be a botanical garden set, that was originally done as modular compatible, but we don't know what it will end up as.

    No self-respecting classic space person world go to a cool diner and expose their helmet hair, so they have to stay on.

    I haven't got the MTS yet, nor built the Lion Knights Castle, but I will do both soon. However, I have accompanying things from the Bricklink MOC Pop-Up Store that I will enjoy putting with them.     If they're in a diner eating and drinking, they shouldn't need air tanks. And they will get in the way trying to sit down at the table, which is likely the real reason they aren't included. It's not what I'd hoped for, but clearly in line with similar GWPs they've done in the last year. Kind of a shame that they've tried to mix classic space with the whimsical kids sets. I like the diner, but would have preferred an alien minifig instead of a classic space one. The Space CMF alien tourist and the retro space hero would both go great in this. Pretty much any of the Space CMF figures that aren't classic theme ones would go well here. There's enough that I want to buy that I will likely get this though.

    The black background box art doesn't do this set any favours, and makes it look unbalanced with a huge SLS next to a pretty small rocket. It seems accurate to the real thing though, so in real life, the set probably looks pretty good. Do we know the size of it? It looks like about 70cm tall, which puts it at maybe 20% smaller than the scale of the Saturn V, which is a little disappointing. Although the increased piece count to make it larger likely wouldn't have been worth it. Looking forward to seeing some lifestyle photos and reviews.

    Oh no! Such sad stories. Carribean Clipper is one of my favorite sets, and I fortunately still have it. My kids have loved playing with it too.

    I wasn't that impressed when the released them. They seem like fairly basic builds and nothing exciting about them, or particularly complementary to the modulars, other than the 16x32 baseplate and sidewalk format. They also feel expensive for what they are.

    Very true. At least they are on PAB, so I can get them easily enough. Nice find with the flea market haul!

    If they do a hospital there will be space for how many beds? Two? One? And given that the modulars don't appear to set in a time more modern than 1950 (with the computer screen in Town Hall being the exception to prove the rule), they would have a devilish time trying to recreate a hospital with the 70 year old kit and approaches they had then, and miss out on all the things people consider to be a hospital now. But a GP/family practitioner's office would be much easier to pull of. A receptionist, waiting area, consulting room, would all work nicely in the 1920-1950 time scale and still be recognizable today. And it would only take up one floor, giving them flexibility to do other things. Perhaps it could be a community health centre, with an opticians and dentist on the other levels.

    But ideally 6-9+ sets and not 4+ where the price for what you get seems extremely over-inflated. And the box art is doing a lot of the heavy lifting to make that set look good. There are many 4+ sets that I like and think work really well, but this was not one of them at all.

    Well that's a shame about white and not yellow, but yes, it makes sense.
