Disney Properties 2023 - Rumors & Discussion
karrit replied to Huigberts Builds's topic in LEGO Licensed
This one is a huge pass for me. Yes the build is similar to the Elves theme but the minidolls do absolutely nothing for me. Definitely not worth the price to me. Hopefully the good parts from the build end up in PAB eventually. -
Fortunately I'm usually able to find what I want in the BAM towers without having to resort to messing with the pre-packaged ones.

This would be a great GWP to go along with the rumored Medieval Market.

Picked up the Tomb set at Barnes & Noble. I placed an in store pick-up order to insure I wasn't wasting a drive there to pick it up. They still had 2 or 3 of the Tomb set on the shelf and at least four of the Plane one. I'm holding off a bit on that one in hopes it will be discounted at some point. Hopefully I'll be able to get the Temple in the near future. I checked the stock availability online for my two not really local Lego Stores and neither were showing stock of any Indy sets or the Up House. I'm just fearing that this whole Indy Series is going to end up like the Vidiyo Bandmates series 2 CMF's where they ship one batch out and then cancel any future supplies to all retailers.

I saw them there last night but they weren't available to order. They seem to be gone when I search Kohl's now. Best Buy seems to be taking orders for in store pick-up but pick-up is not until April 10 for me.

Looks like my Barnes & Noble has the Tomb & Plane sets in stock. Wonder if they may have the early release rights in the U.S.
-
I can't find any retailers in the US that have any of them listed on their websites at the present time. This release is a total cluster. I could have ordered shortly after midnight EDT from Lego.com once the sets finally showed up but I wanted to see if anyone else was going to have them. Now only the Temple is available on backorder. I wonder if other retailers won't be getting them until June. And now all 3 sets are out of stock.

The only one coming up for me is the Fighter Plane. Nevermind, they are finally showing.

They've already started!

Any chance this Hogwarts Express will contain the parts to motorized it or at least be compatible with adding the neccessary parts like they did with the 2016 Winter Holiday Train? That's the one thing I didn’t like about the 2018 release that they didn't make it easy to motorize. I'll most likely be buying the new one anyway for the Hogsmeade Station. Hope they use the same color parts for the train so we can possibly put some of it together with the 2018 one to add more passenger cars. Gringotts is a definite buy for me. The Diagon Alley Shop, will have to see what the set actually contains but probably will wait for a decent discount since I have the big Diagon Alley set. As for the rest the only one I'm definitely not getting is the Hogwarts Grounds one since I don’t buy microscale sets. Hope we get to see some pictures soon.

I would prefer that if they have them pre-built they just let you choose the ones you want with the accessories being you choice. I hate when they are already packed in the 3 packs because there is usually at least one I don't want. The Mrs. Claus in the holiday set last year was just a mash-up of old pieces so not something I wanted and the Gingerbread Woman was a repeat from a set so the only one I was interseted in from that batch was the one with the Holiday Sweater. Also there are a lot of accessories that are not what I would chose as they are often times cheap things like the Party Hat, trophy, camera, umbrella, wand, pretzel, saxophone, spider, swords. I prefer the more unique items like the flasks, some of the animals, more unique instruments, kooky pieces like the Boat, Duck float ring. I also rather have an interesting hat or headpiece over a generic style wig.

Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces
karrit replied to LegoPercyJ's topic in LEGO Licensed
I got the points as an apology for parts that were missing from one of my orders. They were having trouble getting the part number in the system to work so had to escalate through other channels to get the replacement order to go through. This is the first time I've ever been gifted points for a problem and I've had multiple orders that were missing parts that I've called about over the past few years. -

If I get anything in less than 4 or 5 weeks it's a minor miracle. I think I got one order in a little over 3 weeks once. When it's pushing 2 months I start to get antsy. Other than the lag over the holidays I've gotten everything in what I consider a reasonable timeframe. Other than the missing letter 1x1 round tiles that seemed to be an issue due to them changing the part number everything has been pretty smooth turnaround time this year for me. They did give me $20 worth of VIP points for that issue which was more than generous. -

I got my order from Feb 17 delivered yesterday. So seems to be the normal time it usually takes from when I receive the invoice from Lego to actual delivery to me in Colorado for standard PAB orders. -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 24. Rumors and discussion
karrit replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Glad you were able to collect your complete series 24. I really liked almost all of these. The one I really didn't like or want was the Referee. I ordered 2 six pack boxes from Lego.com and actually got a complete set. I then lucked out at my local Walmarts to get multiples of the ones I wanted more than one of. Wasn’t a fan of the T-rex or Space Robot so only have one of each of those. I wanted to like the Space Robot but the colors just didn't impress me. I wish the T-rex had been a bit more more colorful also. I don't think the Referee one was on most people's wanted lists so there are plenty of those to be found when you find stock somewhere. The Rocking Horse Girl & Space Robot were also plentiful around here. The hard ones to find were definitely the Falconer & Orc as well as the Spaceman with baby. -
Other than the Unicorn Lion Knight & Pirate Skeleton these are kind of boring to me. Actually most of the pieces are already available through PAB. The BAM at Disneyland had a ton of most of the Wizard parts before they shut it down yesterday. They only had the hat at the Minifig Factory tower though, not sure about the Flask but I already had a bunch from the original release last year. The torso for the Pirate Skeleton looks really nice but the rest of the figure is pretty common parts except the sword which I wouldn't waste a BAM accessory slot on such an inexpensive part. The only new part for the Lion Knight is the Unicorn Head (looks like a leftover Vidiyo part). But it is a cheaper way to build an army than using PAB. The only other new parts I'm seeing is the skirt for the Gamer Woman but it's kind of meh, and maybe the blue & brown torso for the Ice Cream guy. The Ice Cream head piece, Unicorn Head, Flask, Wizard Hat, Shield and the dual molded legs are the best parts pricewise to get from this bunch. If the Unicorn Head Horn is the separate horn piece then the Knight figure has six pieces since Jay shows it with two accessories, shield & epee sword.

I got the BAM in the Downtown Disney Lego Store at Disneyland shut down today. I asked them to restock the Minifigure legs because there were only short legs or skirt pieces in the tower. They checked in the stockroom & said they hadn't received any normal legs in their shipment so they shut down the BAM Tower and were emptying all the rest of the parts out. They did still have legs in the Minifigure Factory tower so they let me have some legs from there to finish off my 3-pack.

Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces

I never get an e-mail confirming shipment of PAB Standard parts. Just the e-mail receipt and a notification from my credit card issuer of the charge. Usually takes a while for it to show up on my USPS informed delivery. I have one currently showing that USPS is awaiting the package as of 3/18, Lego sent the invoice e-mail on 3/15. -

Haven't been too impressed with any of the live action remakes or even most sequels. I did enjoy the original live action remake of 101 Dalmations starring Glenn Close but most of the few I've seen have been in my opinion an insult to the originals of the animated classics. I'm dreading the Lilo & Stitch remake because I'm a huge fan of the original and I doubt live action will do the story justice. Plus Walt didn't believe in sequels so I doubt he would ever have allowed these live action remakes. -
My January 25 &26 orders arrived on March1. So 5 weeks for those. They just shipped my February 6 order yesterday so hopefully it arrives next week.

Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces

Checking out the list of new parts for December on another website it seems there wasn’t much in the way of must have newness although there were a few good new parts that I want. So the next big drop of interesting new parts most likely won't be until April. -

Got my last two late January orders today. First one was missing one of the two black Shepherd Hooks I ordered and the two packs of Letter Tiles I ordered. It did have an extra red Spaceman Helmet. Called Lego CS and they were having issues with the part number the receipt shows for the letter tiles so they escalated it through their IT & some other group. The tiles show up under a different part number online but when they tried adding it their system changed it to the number showing on my receipt which isn't in their system. I know I've ordered them in the past and gotten them. She said I should get the Letter Tiles eventually and gave me $20 worth of VIP points for the trouble. My other order was fine. Was a pain verifying all the minifig heads I ordered but they were all there. I still have another batch of minifig heads coming in one of my February orders. I did get my Police K-9 Puppies, Dog Harnesses & Police K-9 training torsos, so glad I ordered those before they removed them, but hopefully that's only temporary. Also got a bunch of the Castle parts and some of the Viking Torsos. Now the wait begins for the next batch of new parts to be added and the arrival of my February orders. -
Definitely prefer the minifig scale builds over the microbuilds. I like getting small builds that help fill out some of the scenes in the regular builds. They always end up getting me with the special figs in the SW calendar but I don't enjoy all the micro space craft builds & ugly battle droids, they mostly end up in the spare parts bins. Last year's HP calendar was the only one I didn't like much out of the ones released so far except for the minifigs.

Only one is actually loading for me.
