  1. Thanks. I'm sorry for not posting lately: something happened which didn't allow me to do continue building, but I continued and may post this weekend.
  2. Try again: take the link, remove the "s" from "https", and copy & paste it here. It should work (don't forget to press enter). I love this! The fact that the differential disconnects is for playability, right? If yes, great idea!
  3. I unfortunately have no reference, but the fact that you managed to fit that many features in it is quite impressive.
  4. By seeing this I understand that there is no pivot behind the suspensions/springs. However, there needs to be one that is centered on the axle (and on the center of the wheel), and on the same level as where the steering linkage arrives at the wheel hub. Hope you got it, I'm pretty bad at explaining stuff...
  5. I would have said another useless but still cool project (yes, I love these), but since you actually put it in your city it's even cooler! We hardly see any bridges, but this is extremely cool.
  6. Nice design! I love these little creations that you post! Keep it up. See "decreasing number of mocs".
  7. I am a (quite) new member (1 year), and this is exactly what I am thinking. I build MOCs, and then I see stuff that is just too good, so I don't post them. Concerning cars, I do have 1 car in WIP (see note), but I try to implement some original functions that not all the cars have. Otherwise, I try to build some other vehicles. What is missing too for me is people posting some little original and helpful mechanisms that can always help. @Sariel still does that sometimes, but that's not enough I believe. I do take sometimes some inspiration from these creations, and I also just enjoy seeing such a smart mechanism. What I mean is for example Lego Technic Mastery (YT).
  8. So the problem with your setup is that there is no rotating point behind the springs: you are trying to make the whole axle rotate, and you don't want that. Also, the cv-joint is not at the same position as the point where you want to make the attachment rotate. This can cause issues on bigger scales, not sure if it is that important on your scale.
  9. Great MOC! I'd love to see a video, and: will there be instructions? So if I got it right, it has a 6-speed gearbox? I wonder if anybody has ever done a 9-speed one...
  10. First of all: Welcome! When the rotation speeds coming from the front and the rear differentials are different, this center differential makes its output axle be a combination of each diff speed. If there was no center diff, the axle connecting both the rear and the front differential would bend when the car doesn't go in a straight line. Since this can seriously have an impact on the car, especially when you make it RC, I'd suggest you keep it (it doesn't take up too much space either). Yes, but if you use PF (and not the newer PU/control+), there is no return-to-center mechanism. When turning, the wheels won't go back straight, and you'd have to faff around with the remote control to get them back straight. Also, some gears can skip when turning because the M/L/XL motors don't stop at a moment, they continue turning. I always use a servo motor for steering. Hope this helps.
  11. Looks huge! Can we get a minifig for scale, please Well done!
  12. No, I believe that the black part is perfect: the only issue is that the real thing has some vents in there which are crazy hard to replicate with Lego. Well done for this MOC! Since I like and do know quite a little bit about it, I really enjoy this model! One other thing that disturbs me: the overuse of flex axles at the front, but hey, it's ok.
  13. Can anyone tell me if the 3x13 panel is available on Pick-a-Brick? And if yes: what is the reference? How can I find it?
  14. Quick update about what happened this weekend: Started working on the dash and the nose Reworked the suspension, and added a video. I want to adjust the ride height through one of the exhaust holes, with an axle and a gear. Does anyone know if the black 3x13 panel is available in black on Pick a Brick? And if yes, how can I find it?
  15. Stunning alternate! Makes me consider buying the set...
  16. The problem is that it wouldn't be hidden or out of view, that would make the interior even uglier. Thanks!
  17. Looks a bit unnatural to me but still way better than the gap
  18. Yeah, that's one of the issues of the 90° stepper; it is wide. I am thinking about replacing it with a HOG gear changer (as on yours), but I'm not sure yet.
  19. Definitely hard Orange, since it is the only colour where I really have enough parts to build it. As for the real thing: black as a contrasting colour. Not sure about the interior, probably black.
  20. Thanks so much for your support
  21. This is a project I've been working on lastly: a 1:8 McLaren Senna I do quite like WIP topics, to see how things are created, so I decided to create one myself. For now, the features are: Steering Working fake V8 with a 4-speed sequential gearbox 90° stepper (thanks so much, @Didumos69) Full double-wishbone suspension Adjustable suspension/ride height (thank you @T Lego and @Jeroen Ottens for your help), this will require some rework though. For now, I finished the chassis, let me know what you think of it. I'm sorry for the bad quality pictures, some better ones may come later on.
