Technic 2021 Set Discussion
JintaiZ replied to LvdH's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
And then 42131 uses the same hardware with 1700+ pieces more and only $20 more... -
Looks great! The RC function just makes it even more impressive!

Technic 2021 Set Discussion
JintaiZ replied to LvdH's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
For me, premium sets don't necessarily to be 18+. I don't know your standards for a premium set but anything above $250 would be considered a premium set for me. -
Got it. What about a Ninjago forum? (I know there is already an Action & Adventure themes forum but I feel like Ninjago is a popular enough theme to warrant its own forum) Many thanks for your consideration!

How to make a black castle less boring
JintaiZ replied to SerenityInFire's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I think it's fine if a Castle is all black as long as the interior details are great (and visible) so the best solution may be an exposed back. I look forward to seeing the result! -
Not surprised it would be released in August (seems like there is a clear schedule for Art sets) but it still is a pretty long wait. Though it'd be nice if LEGO could do some smaller mosaic sets though (instead of just releasing a small number of large mosaics every year)

It's available in Australia.

It had 2,031 pieces to be exact. I don't think the project itself violated the rules (otherwise it wouldn't even be approved in the first place)... At least the account is active now, so let's see if the project can be re-submitted...

Absolutely amazing! (like always)

Technic 2021 Set Discussion
JintaiZ replied to LvdH's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I would certainly lower my expectations if it was cheaper. But when you are paying a big amount of money for a premium set, it is hard not to expect much from it. So if you are right, I might just end up picking up 42114 instead. -
Technic 2021 Set Discussion
JintaiZ replied to LvdH's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
If it is a trial truck, then... 2 motors for driving 1 motor for steering 1 motor for dumping function? working lights? 1 hub? This is the only possible way to justify their asking price. 42114 also had 3 motors and 1 hub for $80 less... -
Technic 2021 Set Discussion
JintaiZ replied to LvdH's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
If the price of $349.99 turns out true for the CAT D11T, the set will probably have only 2 or 3 motors and 1 hub. Otherwise, the price just seems too good to be true... And if the price of $329.99 turns out true for the Mercedes Zetros, the set should have at least 6 motors to justify the price... -
I agree, but it's starting to feel like real-world space sets have a wider appeal...

1. NASA, Star Wars, Boeing 2. 1:8 supercars!!! I would love to see them once a year instead of once in two years... 3. Boeing 787 Dreamliner, 3,000 pieces, $250 5. Just building experience. I am not a parts collector, so I don't really care if a set doesn't have too much new parts as long as the price is reasonable. I also like it when a set is based on IP, but it won't stop me from getting sets if it isn't based on an IP. Last but not least, Control+ is great, but it seems like TLG is using Control+ as an excuse for the set to be expensive. (without the electronics, the sets would still have a much higher PPP than other sets) 7. No, but it won't decrease my likelihood of purchase as long as the price is reasonable for what you get. 8. Because Control+ sets are just expensive in general and sometimes I would rather get sets separately without Control+ elements. (It may be a good idea to consider selling them separately) 9. Custom controls for MOCs. The Control+ sets should also come with a controller. 10. Sensors as used in Boost/Mindstorms sets 11. Yes Very happy to see TLG doing these types of surveys... glad they are finally listening to their fans!!!

Icons Landmark Buildings - Rumours and Discussion
JintaiZ replied to Vilhelm22's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Yes, but I'm afraid other designers may not have that much experience and the set will probably get a huge amount of criticism...- 259 replies

Well, the topic didn't have the [MOC] title so I think it's fine...
