I would say that Gandalf Arrives is a very classic set. It's something that I wasn't expecting to see included, but at the same time, in my opinion, very worth including since it's the start of the movie and what gets things rolling. I think it the set captured the movie scene decently while keeping it still very small. Shelob Attacks is also an excellently well thought out set, in my opinion. The spider is great and I think it was a good idea to keep it small. Uruk-hai Army is incredibly impressive for the number of minifigs. 6 minifigs in such a small set is really just stunning and hasn't been done in a while in the Castle theme. Attack on Weathertop is an excellent display set. It looks quite nice and it also looks like it's playability is really good too. Mines of Moria is really well done, I think. I think it is an extremely worthwhile set. The troll is superb and I love the Boromir minifig. The Battle of Helm's Deep is really nicely done. For a relatively small castle, it looks quite nice. They did an excellent job of cutting things down to a more conducive scale, although I still would have liked it to be a bit bigger. The Theoden minifig could be my favourite in this line. Absolutely splendid. Orc Forge was an interesting set and one that I was surprised to see. It's a cool set, but not exactly epic in some ways. I haven't really gotten a good look at pictures of it though, so I can't talk about it with certainty. All-in-all, though, I think all the sets were quite well done and all of their real plus points. I think I would go for Mines of Moria or Helm's Deep though as my favourite. ...But that could just be because they are the biggest.

Haldir has the most votes. What's so awesome about Haldir? -
This is a fabulous crane . Would love to see it in a large Pirate or Castle MOC.

Fume! ..."Let's go to the hall." I roll up my bedroll and place it in my cart. Exiting the room, I trundle down the hall.

"I do tend to sleep too deeply, don't I? When I was at the Monastary at Trencyl I was forced to leave because I wouldn't wake up when they rung the bell for morning prayers."

Get it over with already! Fight! Fight! Fight!

If you drop from high enough it certainly would kill you, and I assumed the dragon was going superduper fast when you handed the reins to Sorrow and that you were also high up. It sounded like it. Sorry, about the confusion.

Dang it! I had these ones in the palm of my hand! Too bad I only got online once the answers were already up.

My condolences...oh, I mean, congratulations! -
The dragon is going quite fast, so either you'd have to jump off when he's close to the ground, in which case he would crash land and "go up in flames", or you would jump too early and hit the water with a splat.

Johon doesn't need lightning, he would die on impact anyway or his dragon would crash and go up in flames.

"How on earth did you get me here, with my cart and all?" I query still uncertain.

Thanks so much for hosting, Masked and K-Nut! It was fun. Was disappointed to die, but I guess I was expecting it.

I hope this doesn't classify as giving away something in another quest, but I was just wondering, does it make any sense for the party in Quest 31 to attempt to follow Russel? They have never met him and have no clue as to what he looks like, so how would Skrall even be able to track him?

Sleepily, I follow after Arasmyth, stumbling about as my cart trundles behind me. I almost look like a drunk, although I had no wine to drink that entire evening. I bump into objects along the way to Arasmyth's apartment, but somehow always manage to keep up with him. As we enter I trip over the door frame dropping my mat onto the floor and collapsing onto it. Arasmyth realizes that the noise he heard when leading me had been my snoring. The next morning, I wake up and am confused as to where I am. I look questioningly at Arasmyth.

They were lucky, I guess. It wasn't like they defended tremendously. But look at Dortmund. They play agressive football and beat Bayern home and away, I believe, in the Bundesliga. Chelsea have had millions (dare I say, billions) poured into their squad and play in a style that says, "We are the worse team, but we'll try to scrape by and hope that Bayern get unlucky." I find it most disappointing that the crown champions of Europe play a style of football that practically screams, "we know we can't match you in playing so we'll just defend and hope for lucky breaks"...I rest my case. But congratulations to the few players in Chelsea who pulled the others through. Despite him being quite heavily maligned, Cech is still one of their best players.

"That's what bedrolls are for," I chuckle. As I see night beginning to fall I hasten away. I do not want to be around in the hall at night with all these demons and vampires and fierecely tempered men. I hasten through the streets of Eubric, until I find a quiet spot by a dilapidated building. Away from the hall and the threat of the frightening vampire I attempt to sleep, but sleep eludes me. Why do I fear? Why do I have the feeling that the demons are working against me? I've slept here before. I've slept on the road many times, and it's not like I haven't met a vampire before. What has changed? My cart pushed tightly against two walls, I lay down in front of it on my bedroll, only half asleep. The night passes in an uneasy restlessness.

It sure did, although in all honesty, I didn't think either France nor Italy deserved to be in the finals of that cup. France got in with all their 1-0 leads and Italy...well, they were far from their best form, in my opinion. Let's see how the cup this year turns out. I hope for exciting games at least and that teams won't revert to Chelsea's Champion's League tactics.

"Please, young Lycan, "it does no one good to shout out in such a manner and accuse others of being a fool. You have not been around here long, and you do not know Master Johon at all besides from what we have discussed here. You cannot go on making assumptions about his intellectual powers although, granted, he does not seem particularly adept at using that God-given brain between his head, you really should not be making assumptions on a few minutes' conversation. Also, I would not boast so about the life you have led, it seems like you should be in prison as of now and not enjoying the hospitality of Heroica. At least Johon has gone on some quests and, I could imagine, done somebody some good somewhere. You are hardly one to talk. Honestly, I only see master Johon training to become either a raider or a berserker, although now that I look at him, he hardly has the diplomatic skills needed to acquire a knight's job. "Everyone will have some enemies. Every person in the world is hated somewhere. No one is above or beyond it. Even the best of men are hated. It is a sad thing, but true. However, you have made some pretty bold comments at Johon and I would implore you to take them back. Granted I may agree with some of them, if not all, but it is hardly becoming of such a young one as yourself. I am beginning to fear for you Lycan. Do not let the demons who desire you take possession of your soul. "It is a sad thing that you fail to recognize the existance of God in your life, and your failure to see Him can only lead you into evil, which I can see, to a certain extent, that it has. I worry for you, I cannot say it enough. But those who reject God may find in their time of need that He has turned His back on them as well. Of course, to a certain extent, we do control our future, but God controls more than that. He has given us each a will of our own to choose to do good or evil. To choose to follow his way or the ways of demons. We own our lives and we decide our future, but it is only because God has given us the ability to do so." I turn to Johon, "Right and wrong is not what you make it to be. Everyone does not have their own idea of what is right and what is wrong. There are rules in place. God has given them to man. The earth is God's and whatever in it is His too, just as in..." I pause, "...most cities, a king rules the land, God rules the entire world and He alone decides what is right and what is wrong without our helping hand aiding Him in his decision making. Who are we to Him anyway? We may not be able to change Eubric entirely and change it into the utopian state that you mentioned, but we can each do what we can. Once cannot, or at least should not, use the failings of others as an excuse for his own. One cannot say, "because no one else is doing it, I do not need to do it either." That thinking will not get anyone anywhere. The fact is, when you signed up to become a member of Heroica, you signed up to be a hero and whether heroes are wealthy or suffering they still have a code they must abide by. I realize that few, if any, among us can truly call themselves heroes, but that should not prevent us from being the best heroes that we can be. "As far as the vampire is concerned, you mentioned him coming in for food. May I remind you that Heroica is not a charity service. We do not just dish out free food to whomever will receive it. I wish we could do so, but we have not the financial backing. The life of a hero is not meant to be an easy one, where one can receive all the free food and drinks one desires. When you signed up to be a hero, you agreed to pay the price to be that hero, whatever it would cost you. Now it is fantastic that we have free drinks and food available to us, but I do not think that whoever created this service meant it so that any tramp from the street could sign up to be a hero and live happily ever after with no work done. No! This service was meant to encourage the weary when they return from battle and give us all a feeling of unity here at the hall. Unfortunately, I have to say, it seems to have failed to do that, but at least they have done what they could. It is most ungrateful to abuse that hospitality. "...Furthermore, I never recall mentioning anything about anyone coming to save anybody...?"

"It is most rude to use the name of a demon when speaking of someone? You and your sinister ways, you are trying to entrap the young and foolish girl in your trap. God damn you, demon! I pray for the soul of the poor girl and that she may result your evil ways.

"Oh, ho, ho, ho! And you think that if his intention is to drink blood that he would have come in and said, 'Hello, gentlemen, I am really interested in finding a new victim for my demonic addiction to a man's, especially a hero's, blood. So just let me bite you. Don't worry. It will be slow and painful, but I'm sure you wouldn't mind, after all, you're heroes, right? Therefore, you do this sort of thing. You know, give your blood to help others continue in their demonic ways.' I suppose you really were expecting him to say that, weren't you? No, of course, not. A vampire who desires to drink of our blood will do just as he has done. He will appear friendly and helpful, or whatever, but then, when you least suspect, he will drain you! Beware, barbarian, beware. No one can make a pact with the devil and not be burned."

Which Lego LOTR Character is your favorite?
Palathadric replied to Aragorn8713's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I thought Aragorn did not look very good at all, but I have to say that he does look very much like he does in the movie once he has that cloak on. I don't know what it does to his look. Boromir is quite brilliant. Sean Bean is one of my most favourite actors, and the Lego version looks quite a lot like Boromir in the movie, in my opinion. Gandalf I did not much care for. He did strike me as looking a whole lot like Gandalf did in the movie, although without the beard I think he looks a darn sight like Ian McKellen. Legolas is decent, but not my favourite. Of the hobbits I think Merry is the best. He just looks so full of mischeif and he looks incredibly like he does in the movie, but they are all quite good. I think Pippin is my least favourite. Gimli is also quite good, but I don't know how much they could have gotten wrong with him as his beard covers his whole face. Ultimately though, I think my favourite minifig is either Theoden or Eomer. I think I will go for Theoden though. -
Monk Pretzel will take up the role. He is good at counselling the insane...I believe. I hope he doesn't find the job to tasking that it drives him insane...moreso than he is already.

"And to think that I thought I would sleep well because I bought one of these bedrolls!" I bristle. "It seems to me that I will have to seek lodging this night elsewhere. It's just disturbing. How can undead, demons and vampires, saunter around the hall of heroes so undisturbed. Perhaps it's that all these youthful heroes do not remember the elder days and the terror that these fell beasts brought with them everywhere they went. In this modern day and age a general spirit of compromise has settled in around the world. You can tell from just looking at the archives of earlier quests. Men siding with pirates in order to earn a greater bounty, betraying the trust of those who hired them, and going against the word of their employer. It is a sad world we live in. The new generations are full of villainy. I have been around a long time, as have you, but probably longer still, yet I have never seen the likes of what goes on in Eubric and I've seen some bad things. But, I suppose, evil is not as evil when it comes out plainly, like the demon, the Draugr, whom we fought and slew. He was obviously evil and all on my party knew it and we slew him without a second theought. However, it is when the evil is disguised that it is the most villainous: the vampire who joins the hall to become a hero and supposedly 'help people', the man who does everything right when on his quests, but is a drunkard at home. The orc who appears to stand for so much good, but inside is just as evil as his ancestors. It is a sad world, Arasmyth, when men can no longer determine an evil man from a good man. It seems that is only wisdom given to the oldest of the old among us, but I pray to God, every day that this will change and that I will be used of Him to spread awareness and to create a new awakening amongst the people of this wretched land. Hope remains, but for how long is what we must ask ourselves. That is why I busy myself with these translations. They are to reach men I could not reach myself and be spread to places where I could not travel, at least, not too soon. Ah, Arasmyth, I need to head out on a quest again, or I shall once again forget my knowledge in the ways of war. It has been a long time since I fought in battle, and I have experienced much since then, but I hope that with every new assignment received and with every new quest I go on, I shall receive more of that fighting spirit back in me. I have tried to change things too long by just following along, what is needed is action. Someone who can step out and do the things that everyone else is afraid to do who can say the things that others are afraid to say. If a warrior is the one whom they will listen to, a warrior is what I will be." I sigh heavily. It had been a long time indeed since I had last wielded a sword. Much had changed since then. Shall I ever be able to wield a sword again? The feeling of slicing through a man, of cutting him to the heart, it goes against everything I have held dear since then. A sword, a sword? Should I again enter the order of the paladins, or shall I remain as I am? As of now, I must do what I must, but God if You demand it of me in the future, I am willing to take up the sword once again, in Your name. Hear me, I pray You!
