  1. I hope the time zones won't be an issue in this quest. It's looking good so far, Endgame! :)

  2. "But the last person in here did not last too long, did he? ...Or was it a 'she'?" Anyway, I try the other door to the left of this one.
  3. "Ayla is gone. Let's loot this place!" "Do you think the chest wants us to draw a picture of it? Or do you think we are supposed to draw a picture of Mage Commerz? If so, do any of you have a clue as to how he looks?" "It looks like this is a letter that was probably "blank carbon copied" to numerous people. It's a technique I tried a couple times, but this one is obvious because there is no name, only "Dear Loyal Customer." Do any of you think it's worth keeping? I would very much like to kill these nasty, creeping things. I hate spiders. They are as bad as demons." I head towards the door where Erik is already standing. "Do you think we should go ahead and enter?" I ask him. "Otherwise we could explore the other doors first."
  4. Or we could draw it and take a picture of the thing we draw. I take a look at the white paper lying next to the others.
  5. Just joking. Are we actually supposed to draw something, or just tell you what we "draw". While Erik goes to the chest, I keep on eye on him while at the same time checking out the contents of the table.
  6. With chocolate on his fingers, Monk Pretzel licks them clean, but finds his hands somwhat damp. He quickly wipes them off on the carriage seats in such a manner that Ayla will not notice. "I will sleep in my bedroll while the others stand watch. I am quite tired, and I am the party leader after all." "Is Ayla still with us? I don't see her, but that could be because it's quite dark down here."
  7. I am utterly dumb-founded by Erik's respect and humility. "Yo, Erik, yo' dissin' me?" "That's a goodly lad. Salvation does not seem far off for you, to be sure. I would have advised you to invest in Fire Bombs or something of the like, as I would imagine we will have large teams of rodents attacking us, but perhaps we will still have a chance to do so. Well, I guess two will have to do for now."
  8. I thank Mizuki for the cookies, but am sure to remind her that I would have preferred if they were made of gold and not chocolate chips. "Not, a problem. You seem like a decent chap...for a barbarian, although I can't say your face looks very friendly. As to the money, I would like to know so that I can know the most effective way of spending it...for you, of course. My name is Monk Pretzel, but feel free to just call me, 'sir.' "Alright, I have two fire bombs and I don't know if it's much point in me hold both of them. I also have a Phoenix Essence, which is again not much point for me to carry, as I am probably the only one worth reviving."
  9. Yep, I think Germany deserve to win this year. It was really surprising that the Greeks were able to score those two goals. The first was down to some slack defending though by Hummels and Boateng. All of Germany's goals were exceptionally brilliant and I was pleased that Loew gave Klose, Reus, and Schurrle a chance. I think they justified their inclusion in the game. I guess we'll have to see who he'll put on in their next game. The Greek goalie was not magificent though.
  10. Did the party actually get the extra level and gold?
  11. "The Bank of Commerz, and she's leading us inside. Let's loot it." I whisper quietly enough so that she can't hear. "This fountain as a wishing well? How archaic is that!" I snort. "What? Most of our reward is coming from this wishing well? In other words, we can't be sure if we will actually get it or not. How spooky is that. I sincerely hope that we have something to lean on and that in case this doesn't work out you will provide us with some sort of collateral." I then turn to my party. "Hey! What's with the snubbing! I said I wanted your names, ages, knowledge of the contents of your purse, etc. Out with it. "Yeah, I'm all set to get going to the vault...once I have these questions answered." Sorry, I wasn't around when all this was going on. I wasn't able to get online yesterday evening, I had a game to watch, and besides, someone else was using the connection until 1:00 or so. Just to let you know, in case you don't, the Nimbus Broomstick is a ranged weapon. And yes, Dazus got it right regarding the shield and helmet. They add +1 each to my HP.
  12. "Greetings, all, glad to be here, but can't say I'm glad to be here with you all. But nevermind all that. I am rather busy, so just tell me when I get there. As party leader, I would like to have all of your names and occupations, and to know the contents of your purses as well. So out with it." I pull out a scroll and, as the chariot thunders along, prepare to write.
  13. I haven't left the hall yet, sorry, I have to purchase things to make up for the rest of your lacks. Just joking...half serious.
  14. I approach the marketplace. I would normally have sent Eric, but I haven't seen him around recently. Quickly, I rush over to Portia's Potion Shack. "2 tonics, and make it snappy. Add to that a couple of fire bombs. That comes to a total of 50 gold. These prices are way too expensive. Pass me a smoke bomb as well. That will be 55 gold. Here take it. You don't happen to have a healing staff do you?...nevermind." Without waiting for a reply, I toss the 50 gold to her for 2 Tonics, 2 Fire Bombs, and...forget about the smoke bomb. 64-50=14 gold leftover.
  15. Thank you. I'm so stupid. I was looking for it everywhere in the rules, but for some reason did not bother checking the "gems picture."
  16. "I have my reasons for desiring a healing staff, but seeing as none of you have it, I shall go."
  17. What element are beasts weak to? Wood?
  18. "Does anyone have a healing staff that I could buy or borrow for this quest?" I call for all in the hall to hear me.
  19. EDIT: [Not a good idea and you know it] I don't know if I would consider those the "good games." The better teams will be playing in them, but all of those teams have incredibly negative and defensive mindsets, apart from Spain, but Spain are certainly not very offensive themselves without a solid striker. So the games have the potential to be very boring affairs as well, but hopefully, they won't be. I agree with you. Howard Webb was quite poor in the finals, in my opinion. How he missed giving De Jong a read is beyond me. Perhaps, he was so impressed with kung fu move. I know I would be. Down with the Greeks! If Germany loses this game, then doom is on this Euro Cup. They have played the best football thus far... alongside the Russians, of course. The Croatians, in my opinion, were superb as well. Too bad the latter two are already out.
  20. Hey! Be happy you're not going on the quest!
  21. I glance up as a chariot comes charging down the road, making a loud noise. A woman jumps off the chariot and hurries to the quest board, slashing names off the sign-up sheet. I wait around for the violent lady to finish. In the meantime I scrutinize her appearance. She seems more of a digital rendering to me than an actual person. Suspicious, I think. She leaves the hall and there is the obligatory crowding around the quest board. Daxus seems exceptionally disturbed. I approach the board. "Yahoo!" I screech. "Party leader, and they even put an exclamation point after it to add emphasis. Heroica is finally appreciating my worth." I clap Daxus on his back. "Just think, we'll be journeying together, you and I, once again. Now does that sound like God's setup or what? He certainly seems after you. I have the feeling that your soul will not be lost for much longer now." I then head back to my seat trying to re-collect any information I need. And what last purchases I should make. As I do so, I spend some time analyzing my fellow quest mates, having seen their paintings on the wall. The Mizuki girl seems like a good kid. Helpful at least. Far better than that Alisha ! The barbarian seems quiet. I guess I will have to examine him more closely. I notice that Mizuki is a rogue. How odd is that! A helpful person being a rogue? And how is that I am stuck with two of those theives. Perhaps, they will see the light. If they do, they could be incredibly useful.
  22. That mission was just made for him, wasn't it? Make sure it doesn't start before I am back, assuming that I am chosen for the current quest. Consider me having "excellent reputation with the Capt.JohnPaul faction."
  23. I only watched the last five minutes. Looked like a crappy match though. Someone was telling me that Portugal were tremendous, but almost everyone else said that it was a pretty dull match in general. I can't say I'm disappointed I opted to skip it though. This is certainly not the best of the quarter final matches.
  24. I arise from my unconcious state with the noise of the room slamming into my brain, trying to force it's way into the mass of murky thoughts. What had happened? I pick myself up off the table and hold my head in my hands trying to clear the confusion. Suddenly, as if nothing happened. I look up and continue painstakingly with my translation.
  25. Sounds exciting. July will be a busy month it seems for quests it seems. I guess it will need to be with the Dastan quests having, probably, come to an end already by then.
