What can I say? I didn't suggest it. Monk Pretzel makes a natural leader of such righteous people.

Oh, yes, De Jong was my favourite. The third place game is always more exciting the finals: Germany-Uruguay/Germany-Portugal/Turkey-South Korea/ad infinitum. The finals are almost always cagey displays with both teams too afraid to seriously attack the other. That's why we've seen 0-0 (1-0 aet) last World Cup, 1-0 Euro Cup, 1-1 World Cup before that, etc. Third place people hardly seem to care whether they win or lose and it makes the game a whole lot more interesting and, in general, with a whole lot more goals. Yep, Netherlands have a tough uphill climb now, as I hardly see them winning Germany with that performance. Unfortunately, Germany were frighteningly poor in their last couple of matches, so anything could happen. I am quite confident that Denmark will beat or draw Portugal, but let's see. I still think Germany are in a good position to get through, but I've not been too impressed with them and I don't think I see them winning the Cup if they don't seriously get their act together soon. I would hardly have called it a spanking. Croatia are ranked way above Ireland and I was very impressed with Ireland's guts and determination at the end. Honestly, I see Russia as being a team that could take the Cup this season. The big teams have all failed to impress me thus far. My only issue is that Russia may put a bit too much energy into their game. Spain have gotten boring and without Villa spearheading their attack I don't know how well they will do. Remember Villa scored 5 out of the 8 goals Spain scored in the entire World Cup. Germany have been slack in their last games. Holland were humiliating and I hardly see them getting into the quarter finals. Italy are past their best days. France are incredibly inconsistent, so... Russia it is!

Sweet scene. Very nice, small, and quite well thought out. You used the space quite well. I could almost see this being an official set.

Wow! That is one hellishly frightening fellow.

OOC: Just how big is this circle of fire and I thought you were fighting Drake, you wouldn't be expecting a bucket of sand thrown from behind you. "You're not a demon? Very funny! Does "devil" suit you better? I can call you that instead if you like. Although I can't say I'm at your service. If you want to fight the man go and fight in the arena in an orderly fashion on stop bringing your sectic ways here to the hall!"

Two letters: XP. I suppose Pretzel is the heavy hitter. Oh, I love the righteousness of those rogues. Such good, noble persons.

EDIT: Deleted Random Spammy Post Apologies all!

Taking a bucket of sand, which I had dug earlier with my shovel, I toss the contents at the fire just outside the hall. "Hey, you out there! Keep your fires away from the hall, demon! None of your demonic rituals here." I shake my head. I didn't care at all for the Drake fellow, although he seemed friendly, but perhaps a bit childish. However, he was a theif or so I had been told. On the other hand, once again, whoever the demon at the hall was against I could almost be considered for. Right now, I didn't want to participate anymore than I did. What good is it to attempt to whack that demon with my cross anyway, it's not like he'll get converted.

This is the most betrayed I've ever felt. I told everyone that I was back and Yoda didn't even give me a chance to vote. You can't do this to poor Obi!

I actually went for the cleric because I noticed how few clerics there seemed to be in Heroica. The other class would've had to have been a rogue or something and there were so many of them. That's why I went for the cleric. ...and besides, it's a whole lot more fun!

Heroica RPG - Expert Job Class Discussion
Palathadric replied to LEGOman273's topic in The Heroica Archive
But being a werewolf is not exactly a job class as I see it. It seems odd that someone can just choose to become a werewolf. Shouldn't be more of a race than a profession? -
Ta-da! Everyone! Obi-Wan Kenobi is back! Can I hear a chorus of "Yays!" ...please. As it turns out I left a dummy in my bed who the idiotic scummy scum killed. I'm back in action. Woohoo! And my extended period away in Day 6 enabled me to meditate fully and know whom the remaining scum are. To be revealed in...one, two... darn it where is the day thread. I don't want to be caught "playing outside of the game and get Mod-killed! I am back though.

Odd! I'm a purist MOCer too. Who would've thought?

This makes a lot of sense. We, the other characters, cannot read Boomingham's mind...I think so we shouldn't be able to know about all his flashbacks, etc...even his thoughts. Of course, for some characters that don't talk a lot trying this out may not be such a good idea. Personally, I really like Sylph. He is just so mysterious, quiet, intelliget, and whatever. If I hadn't gone for the fanatical Pretzel I would have gone for a Sylph-like character. I don't know why. I very much like how CMP has not overly used his chicken. For people playing duel personalities I would definitely say the CMP and Zepher are the pros. (Is it redundant if I too say that "I hope Barty is coming back soon!!!" )

I notice that the barbarian and the undead wannabe rogue are picked on the theiving knight. "Serves him right," I mutter. "Hopefully I'll lose a few enemies in this fight." I smirk. I wonder when word will be sent of the quest I signed up for.

"I didn't even know we had so many high-ranking heroes in the hall at present!" I shrug my shoulders. "Hey, puppy, where'd you come from. You don't happen to be this Maa'ri that they have to rescue, do you?" I turn to Elgar, "Well, I suppose you won't be fighting in the arena after all, eh? Perhaps now is the time to call those town watch." I then turn to Arasmyth, "Good luck, friend," I say forcefully. "Party leader, eh? Make them proud! May the blessings of the good Lord go with you!" I pronounce several benedictions over him.

Wow! This is some good advice here for all. -scribble, scribble- Should be in the theater.
-
Quest 28 really is superb. Great team and great role-playing. It's especially awesome that they're all fairly long-time members. I don't know about that. Arthur is one long, continuous identity crisis as I see it. I agree with CMP though, don't let him get too crazy too often. It grows almost annoying more than funny. Oh, I'm one to talk.
-
"Mad knights can be very dangerous, I tell you. They're ones to watch out for, but if you are confidant that the town watch are not needed at the moment, I will stay my hand and merely monitor Mr. Flamerobe's actions. If he is found suspicious yet again, I must call them in."
-
Talk about free XP ! You guys could just keep slaughtering each other, with or without bombs. This is so exciting! I wish Monk Pretzel were there to fuel the fire!
-
"Greetings, young one," I say in as friendly a manner as I can, although my eyes betray my suspicions of him. After all, was this not the hero who was standing up for Necromancers and the undead just yesterday? "I would not know about Johon's battle skill, muchless his 'mad adventures', I have never been on one of them before. Is he cowardly in battle then? It is not unlikely that he is entirely making up his 'adventurous quests' in an attempt to gain some form of respect or something. No wonder he doesn't take anyone else along with him." "Challenging a theif is a thing I admire. It is always a good idea to squelch a potential robber before he can get seriously into such actions. However, I do not see why we should take it to the arena. I must fetch the town watch. If a robber is in our midst, it is there responsibility to rout him out and take him to prison. So long, Drake!"
-
Wow, that was calamitous. If I were members of team Constance, I would not forgive team Felton. Fight, fight, fight!

If you could meet Tolkien himself...
Palathadric replied to SheepEater's topic in Culture & Multimedia
It's easy, give him a deal he can't refuse. I would threaten to send my entire Lego orc army on him with the great cave troll if he doesn't sign. ...unfortunately, I don't have any orcs...much less trolls. -
I think this has to be my favourite brick-built beast ever.
