  1. Haha I guess someone in your LUG has really pissed him off then. But I cant think of any dispute that would make him ban a whole LUG. Anyhow if it's so I guess it's time to bring your money elsewere.
  2. Have you been writing some controversial in the bricklink forum or been having a dispute with someone else lately? I've seen such things lead to being put on a stoplist. Just drop him a message and ask why he has stoplisted you. Could just be some stupid misstake. If he wont take you off his stoplist for some silly reasons just take your buisness elsewere. Even if it's annoying, being stoplisted won't affect your other buisness on BL AFAIK.
  3. I thought it was more or less confirmed that the Vestas Power plant isn't going to be sold publically at all.
  4. Nope. There hasn't been a single picture of it even though it feels like ages since it's existence were revealed... And there's also those two new calendars, small creator sets (7796, 7797, 7798 & 7799) and a few other small sets I havent seen yet. Don't know if they are promos/exclusives though. But besides Taj Mahal I don't think that there are any more larger sets to come this year. But I guess it isn't long before we'll have a "pictures-of-Januari-2009-releases-frenzy".
  5. I believe theese sets are some of thoose that got a later release in US. I believe they've been out in the rest of the world for a few weeks now...
  6. Hehe, just noticed that seller on eBay did get $275 for it as that item is now sold...
  7. Well it's a rare set (only 500 produced) and it's MISB so it wouldn't suprise me if he could get that much for it. And give it a few years and it'll probably go for even more...
  8. Oh and I have been thinking about going to the cinema for years.(I only have abou 28 miles to the closest one and no car... ). But now I just got to go! Even if I have to make someone drive me under gunpoint!
  9. On Brickset there is now 137 people that say that they want this set.
  10. Don't say that. In sweden the hunt for racism seems to be on. Just yesterday on of the larger newspapers had a story where upset readers had complained to the newspaper that one of the larger men's clothes store chains in sweden had stands for shirts that looks like swastikas when looked at frome above... And there's probably not a single swede who doesn't remember the "nogger black incident". So I've stopped being suprised as this just seems to be increasing all the time. People seems to be looking for any and all excuses to be upset about something. So I wouldn't be suprised if there were a lawsuit or some media debate against LEGO...
  11. Because there arent that many coloured minifigs out there, is it? I've seen companies be called racists or having nazistic sympathies over less than that...
  12. Well Star Wars Lego is probably a huge seller, it would'nt suprise me if it's number 2 after CITY. And besides it's just as fresh as Batman since there's a seventh Star Wars movie, Star Wars: the Clone Wars, being released 15 August. And I do believe that pretty much all SW sets coming out right now is from this new movie. I would'nt be suprised if they continued to sell Star Wars LEGO way past 2011... EDIT: Yeah so I forgot "star Wars" in that last sentense. Of course they will sell LEGO beyond 2011. :) If not I would be real sad!
  13. Am I the only one who's "afterconstruct-sensor" starts beeping like crazy as soon as I hear talk about LEGO choosed minifigs to be yellow as it is a "neutral" skin color. Come on! They choosed Yellow because at the time when minifigs were created it was the color closest to "white" peaoples skin. The other choice the had was grey or white wich have made the minifig look ill or like they were all albinos. I for one have seariusly hard to see the yellow minifig as a person with a dark skin tone. If they wanted a neutral skin color they would have choosen blue or something like that. Now they stick to this "neutral skin color" story, hoping they won't get sued. Because they would most likely lose such a case. just because Yellow is more white:ish. And to back up the story they came up with the fleshies to use with licensed themes as there it's likely to turn up at least some dark skinned characters. And to the actual vote question: I voted "it depends". Because in reality I actually could'nt care less about this. I say that If you wan't and care about racial diversity go ahead and use the dark fleshies in your MOCs. Your not gonna hear me complaint about mixing blacks and "yellowheads". As for official sets I guess it's okay to keep to all yellow for non-license sets as long as LEGO feels that it keeps them from being sued. But it kind of suprises me that they haven't been already...
  14. Now I'm not going to claim that I'm an experienced house MOC:er but in my opinion the brick size used do matter. The small gaps between the bricks do add a little texture on the wall surface. I'm currently building a moc of a Local Grocery store which has brick walls. And for this I use 1x2 orange bricks. It seems to give the best effect that's affordable. I would have used 1x2 plates in orange, red and brown (To get the true texture of the walls) if I had the stock or could afford buying it.
  15. They're yellow because in scandinavia, in sweden at least but I assume it's the same in all scandinavia, construction vehicles are usually yellow.
  16. Here is more info on that airport display as well as a schedule of where and when you can see it under 2008. According to that schedule the display is currently at Zaragoza, Spain and in december it'll be back at JFK, New York. There is also some photos from previuos displays here
  17. Me wanna, me wanna. :) Sign me on...
  18. I'm guessing they'll be using it as a hand-out on events and/or prices in some sort of lottery/competition.
  19. Well power functions has been extended with light elements recently. They can be found in the Off Roader as well as in 8283 Power Functions Motor Set
  20. I believe it was stated by a lego designer in an interview. EDIT: Found the source There it's stated that there will be five new agents sets coming out next summer.
  21. I don't think theres anything wrong with your search terms. It seems like the pictures are taken down everywhere. Usually they can be found on brickshelf. But this time they're removed from there as well.
  22. There's a big difference between confirmed and likely. As has been said already they are not confirmed yet even though it's getting more and more likely that we'll at see at least pirates next year.
  23. They actually have a little toys corner, or a shelf to be exact. It's different from time to time what Lego set they have. Usually it's some small creator sets like 4915 Mini construction, or mini racers like 8132 Night Driver. But the biggest buy I did where last christmas when they suddenly had 7990 Cement Mixer, 7991 Recycle Truck & 7248 Digger. And on a sale with 25% off on top off that. Then I actually bought all of thoose sets that they had left...
  24. The past years spending is like this: 60% Bricklink 58% Toystores 1% S@H 1% A local grocery store.
  25. It actually works quite well. I picked down my beach house yesterday. And there the baseplate is full of 1x1 tiles. And that brickremover was, to my suprise, the absolutely best method to get 'em off. When you put on the brickremover like that It'll get pinned between the tile and the studs next to it. So when you turn the brickremover like in that animation it will force the edge of the tile upwards and it'll come off whithout complaint.
