  1. I have a copy of the retailer catalogue. ;) I was also told by a LEGO rep that they release the two impulse sets as a kind of "trailer" for the main theme that comes two months later. They did the same thing with pirates.
  2. If the Netherlands have the same releaseplan as sweden We'll see the impulse sets in june (it's only about a week left!! can't wait.) and the rest is due in august. :(
  3. It seems like it's much easier for LEGO to hinder leaks of the exclusives. Probably as they aren't in the normal retailer catalogue.
  4. Well Lynx Optique is a french oline store selling glasses. So I'm guessing they're going to be sold there. But they don't seem to be available yet. I don't think LEGO burns much resources on the products that have been revealed recently. I think that they're more or less just lending them their name and maybe a few opinions on the product's look and quality.
  5. I haven't seen this posted anywhere but I just found some info that claims that there is a collaboration between Lego itself and the online specs retailer Lynx Optique to make a pair of LEGO sunglasses. Haven't found the source though as it seems to be just blogs linking to other blogs... It's pretty much just some 80:ies style sunglasses with studs on the sides...
  6. Well regarding the torsos I think it's pretty safe to say that they are all prints. It wouldn't make sense that in a new theme with all new torsos that some torsos would be printed and some would have stickers. They would most likely go either way, not both.
  7. I'm guessing it's just the designers using som old bricks they have laying around. Haven't noticed any in any sets yet. However if they do reappear I think they're probably going to be stickers...
  8. Here's a little insect-like mecha with three legs I came up with when I was playing around a little with two pieces of the kid's Bionicles. I found that the claw fitted like hand in a glove inside that "backplate" . Just as if it was ment so. And so it was just to add some details like legs and stuff. :) Unfortunatly I didn't have any of thoose leg pieces at the time so the build has been on hold for a while. But now it's done. Hope you guys like it. More pictures on flickr
  9. Well there's the "Brick Wishlist" group on flickr. Can just say that I wish for most of the parts suggested there!!
  10. Those pieces that makes up the tower leaves a hole in the middle. Don't know if it's big enough for a PF-cable to pass through though.
  11. I guess I'm just used to NiMH batteries that hardly comes with a mAh that low. But I guess the main advantage of this battery is it's lifetime so in the end it's worth it even though you get NiMH batteries with more than double mAh for half the price (charger excluded).
  12. I recieved some info about that new batterybox: It is an 1100 mAh(milliamperehours) battery. Which sounds a little low, doesn't it? Anyhow 10194 Emerald Night is said to run for 3-4 hours per charge. When the battery is completly empty a recharge will take about 1.5 hours. They couldn't specify how many recharges it could take other than it should work for a couple of years. I was told that it comes with a two year warranty. The battery also has a builtin powersave feature that steps in and turns it off if it's "unused" for two hours. EDIT: Maybe I should mention that these specs were provided by the LEGO customer services.
  13. Nope. The pf-lights are spotlights and nowhere near the spherical light that the old 9v-lights gives.
  14. Not to spoil the fun but I seriuosly doubt that the "monorail" is intended to be a monorail. If you look at the train it has standard trainwheelpairs for running on standard train tracks! Besides the track is two drawn lines. Theres no real _monorail_ sticking up anywhere is there...
  15. Haven't tried that specific fibreoptic cable. But I've tried the "exo-force" variant. Don't think there is much differences when it comes to light-characteristics though. And I can say that it's not a very good quality fibre. When "fed" light from that PF-light through one of the ends there is a noticeble fade in the color. Near the PF-light it'll be white and on the other end it's a lot more yellow. The light will also loose some strenght passing through the fibre.
  16. If it's is an April Fools gag it's gonna go down the recordbooks!! As if it is an april fools it's the most ambitious one I've ever seen. 92 pages of fake articles, in two languages even. And mabe my joke-radar is broken but from what I've had time to read so far there is none of the usual tipoffs of this being a fake magazine.
  17. People must be buying this set like crazy or why is there a max 5 per customer limit?
  18. What date?
  19. Just got a mail from my contact on LEGO with this quote from their intranet: You can download it as a pdf as well as order it in a printed version on their site. The magazine is available in english and danish language.
  20. All you need is this cable to hook up your 9v batterybox to the PF-system.
  21. I believe it has been established that they're not Big Ben wheels. Anyhow they do not look like big Ben Wheels to me.
  22. I understand that 9v-batteries fade to 7.4v after a short while. But am I the only one that's a bit concerned about the fact that LEGO feels the need to advertise that the output is 7.4v and not 9v? I get the impression that it means that the battery will actually be weaker than normal 9v batteries. It'll start out at 7.4v and maybe fade from there...
  23. Well at least in sweden the two Impulse sets are scheduled to be released in june. The rest are due in august. :(
  24. I guess so, since this is far from the first time this happens.
  25. I'm guessing it's because of the lack of a local LEGO stores...
