  1. I think Marcos is a good designer but I have to be honest, I thought Diagon Alley was a complete disappointment, which is why I sold it shortly after building. Committing to the whole street made each building feel small half size, and the pink building was just plain ugly. I want more expensive sets and buildings but I hope they go in a different direction in the future, especially if this theme is around for the long haul. I think the theme is in a bit of an identity crisis right now, and I’m curious where it’s heading.
  2. Haven’t been following HP Lego in awhile, any news on the summer 2022 wave?
  3. The Office has become such a meme and honestly so overdone I place it over with Marvel and Star Wars as pieces of entertainment that show a cultural decline in creativity and originality. I’m so over these licenses. A conversation for another forum, most likely non-LEGO. Lol I will say, I am genuinely excited for the Jazz Quartet though. I’m a composer and would love to have a more displayable and cheaper way to show a piano
  4. Uh yea, how do you think the movies were made? Lol I’m not saying it would be easy, I’m saying it would be dope, and creatively more freeing. I’m not really looking forward to the same style sets and mini figures over and over
  5. I wish the LEGO sets were based on the books rather than the movies. I really think tying everything Harry Potter to the movies that will slowly age cheapens and shortens the lifespan of the series. It would be so freaking cool to see new interpretations
  6. People that would otherwise find LEGO cringe so they need to feel they’re buying something smart lol
  7. Maybe if they were ever actually approved we would be tired of them…
  8. Man I wish they would just make sitcom sets themselves so we don’t need to waste time with Ideas spamming every sitcom people think can get approved
  9. The way they said “pick which set you think will win” makes me think there’s going to be one chosen.
  10. I’m prepared for the worst, but if we could get one of Jazz Quartet, Castle of Blackwood Forest, Hyrule Castle, or Lisbon Train, I would be pretty happy
  11. I just hope there are a couple D2C sets for the movie and not just sets aimed for ages 6-12. I want sets like Ninjago City not like the minions movie.
  12. Base set as in Ninjago City?
  13. So does this mean the Ninjago modular rumor isn’t true? That’s all I care about
  14. Have we heard anything about GWP’s on October 1st?
  15. It’s not even a flip of the coin though, it’s obvious ? Is the only block 80% of Nintendo fans and 100% of non-video game people know, and it’s the only one that would sell well. I wouldn’t buy this set if it was the ! Block because I wouldn’t put a block that literally no one recognizes outside a select few people. I bet LEGO spent about 5 minutes thinking about it.
  16. It’s super obvious why they chose the ? Block instead of the ! Block. I really don’t understand anyone who is confused by the change.
  17. So I guess the black box isn’t gay enough LEGO? Lol don’t get me wrong I hate the black boxes but it seems to me LEGO is kinda admitting with this that the black boxes lack any style and are void of any charm
  18. I’m not even a LEGO Star Wars fan but I feel bad for all of you dealing with a team I feel is severely out of touch with their fans lmao
  19. I’ve been following the BrickLink Ideas program, and I think it’s great, but one thing that bothers me is that we don’t get the official LEGO remake, which ultimately makes these “amateur” sets less impressive more impressive with exciting building techniques, proper coloring, and just overall fun build experiences. So with that being said, what would you say is the best MOC you’ve seen that could be disguised as an official LEGO set, all things considered.
  20. Hey guys, so I think I found an image that gives us a big clue on what that hidden compartment hides See the purple background and the star? It’s definitely the boss fight with Bowser. https://imgur.com/qEWzOpj
  21. I mean the movie is going to be terrible by default, so I think it’s safe to say the only good thing from it will be the sets. And LEGO has a pretty good track record with movie sets. At least for their own movies…
  22. I think someone mentioned it here before, but I have a feeling they may go all out on Mario sets for the new animated movie. The dream is for them to give the The Ninjago Movie treatment. Imagine the big high quality sets that could rival Destiny’s Bounty and Ninjago City
  23. I mean, just speaking from what I see, have they shown at all that they care to satisfy those who want traditional sets? We have anything but that. I mean think about the sets we could have if they were all in on satisfying AFOL’s. Mario Kart courses, full on level displays or hub worlds, Zelda castles. The list goes on. Like I get it, that approach isn’t the best way to make $$$, but sometimes it would be nice to think a company is targeting your audience.
  24. Anyone know when the review embargo lifts?
