  1. I know the 4+ sets aren't supposed to be anything special, but this one feels so phoned in even by that low standard. They could've at least thrown in a bit of village wreckage or something? I can't imagine that will sell well at all.
  2. That mod to the engine intakes looks great considering it's only two parts - will definitely be adding that to mine once I pick up this set.
  3. I don't think there's much point debating what the $30 set will be, but I am intrigued to see what such a cheap store exclusive will be. At the moment, the Arquitens is top of the list for me, closely followed by the Bad Batch shuttle. I'll wait to see pictures before passing a final judgment though.
  4. The remake was in 2019, last year's battlepacks were the Mandalorian and Sith Trooper packs IIRC. I doubt this will be an army builder set; the easiest factions to do a set in that style would be clones (already had them), Imperial stormtroopers (ITT kinda does that already as @wesker said), or First Order stormtroopers (possible, but after so many years of sequel material I think LEGO is letting that lie for a bit, and stormies wouldn't be the first thing to get remade). Other options: rebellion/resistance (not really any recognisable vehicles aside from a snowspeeder) or droids (I don't think many people are clamouring for a way to build a droid army). Even if it were an army builder, I think the 212th is really unlikely (as much as I would love that): they're nowhere near as well-known as the 501st, and you'd have to put two different vehicles in there to set it apart from last year's.
  5. I have seen some ambiguity on it to be fair - I've seen a lot of lists saying the Arquitens is Mando, Gideon, Bo and a pair of Dark Troopers, unless they were red herrings.
  6. Echo did appear on the rumoured figure list. I would assume he would be anyway given the shuttle is (again, presumably) meant to tie in more with the Bad Batch show itself than TCW.
  7. Ditto, I think classic cars in general tend to translate to Speed Champions a bit better. That F1 Espace is beautiful BTW. I agree that the Dodge will probably include a truck and a-another muscle car - I can't imagine they'd do a Dart, much as I would love them to.
  8. I nearly put this in the 2021 thread but thought it would be better suited here. Some people have suggested there might be an additional two sets this summer (75317 and 75318) as there are gaps in the line-up. Along the same lines as last year with the IT-S, I'd love to see a surprise set related to the High Republic - ideally a Vector, maybe with Avar Kriss, Loden Greatstorm, Burryaga or Sskeer.
  9. I just had a thought about the Slave I - regardless of what era it's from, now that we've seen what the interior looks like from Mando, would we expect LEGO to attempt to replicate that in this set?
  10. They were all 'to scale' with a minifigure though, or at least were designed as a playset. For sets designed as models, as @Lego-Freak said that's only been the case since 2013, and even then the Super Star Destroyer was the only one where the minifigure wasn't an astromech droid. You could argue that the TIE fighter in 2015 was the start of the current minifigures-in-large-scale-UCS sets trend.
  11. I hope so, I can't imagine you'd need to change much on the mould - just fill in the bit where the fin would be. I'd be pretty happy with two pilots, but frankly they're a bonus in UCS sets. Given ITT was its name in Rebels and the Trexler Marauder name only appeared in the episode itself I would've thought it's the former. I was going to say since Greef is in the set, Lucasfilm would've probably shown concepts from the Siege episode for LEGO to base a set on, but then again they're chased by scout troopers in that and not stormtroopers, so... Who knows. Stranger things have happened.
  12. Ditto. I had my doubts given their attitude to TV in the past but I'm glad they seem to be embracing the diversity of Star Wars. I'll be interested to see how they pull off the AT-AT structurally. I maintain that $800 is too much for a LEGO set, but if they are going to be a thing... Can we at least have one that isn't like 80% grey? Sure the size is impressive, but having the Falcon, ISD and AT-AT all next to each other is a whole lotta drab colour.
  13. If we are going to get a Jedi temple the only place I could see it popping up is as one of the mini GWPs in the same style as Hoth, Endor and the Death Star (and Tatooine if rumours are to be believed). They could quite easily do it justice at a similar piece count.
  14. We didn't get last year's pictures until June IIRC, not sure if that's consistent with how early they've been in the past though.
  15. At some point? Probably. Now the dust has settled a bit... I think the fact that some of us thought this was a wishlist speaks for the quality of the wave. The Slave I does seem to be the weak link, but even then LEGO hasn't really made a bad Slave I since 1999, and for $50 there can't be too many complaints. This might also be the most diverse range of Star Wars sets in terms of era coverage. There's at least one set from each of the OT, PT (non-CW), ST, CW, Mando and Bad Batch; the only ones that aren't represented are Rebels and Resistance, and even then the ITT appeared loads in Rebels.
  16. Don't count your chickens just yet, we don't know what figures are in the advent calendar
  17. Oh yeah... Never mind, I stand very much corrected.
  18. It sounds like the ITT is the closest thing we'll get to an army builder (which, if the mortar trooper is indeed in there, should be the first variant of stormtrooper in the new mould which is cool debunked, it'll actually be the third. Nevermind ). Are there any Target exclusives that have been this cheap in the past? I thought they tended to be the more expensive sets, but being a European I don't know how they normally shake out.
  19. Oh right getting ahead of myself there, apologies. The sentiment remains shared though.
  20. It happens I agree on the weird figure lineups. I'm very surprised the Mandalorian fighter is apparently the Clone Wars version, IIRC they were barely in the last season. I guess they get some more mileage out of the Bo Katan figure though. Same, but given it's been in Mandalorian and the Book of Boba is coming later this version of Slave I does make way more sense from a marketing PoV. Ah well. I got my Bad Batch and Arquitens so I'm happy for now
  21. You say that, apparently it'll have Boba, Han and... No-one else. I guess they had to bring the price down somehow
  22. So am I... As much as I would like Star Wars to keep moving in the cheaper direction, that feels almost too cheap to do it justice. That, the ITT and the Mandalore throne kinda make me sceptical about the list, as they've popped up on more than a few wishlists. That said, if it's true I'll be pleasantly surprised. Glad I'm not the only one bored of the OT Slave I. This has to be the fourth version we've had in, what, six years? I thought the same and wondered if that would mean it's a convention exclusive. Do they tend to get rumours around the same time as normal sets?
  23. UCS Artoo gets a big meh from me. Very little interest in these character sculptures personally, although my wallet will be relieved. On which note... 200 bucks? How big is that thing going to be?! The light cruiser rumour seems to have suddenly gained a lot of traction though, which I do hope is true. It makes perfect sense given the crossover with Mandalorian and other Star Wars material. Koska Reeves or Fennec Shand don't appear to be among the supposed figure line-up which is a shame. At least Bo and Gideon are in there. EDIT seems like the $350 set will indeed be the gunship as well. Interesting...
  24. *excited squeals* From the pictures it looks to be a tad smaller, the wings I think are a few studs shorter.
  25. Ditto, need my fix of LEGO cars somewhere! Even if they are wider than I would like. I found the above info on a few accounts under the hashtag legoleaks on Instagram. It is second- or maybe even third-hand information as none of them say where their info came from (understandably), but they came at the same time as a few more leaks and rumours for other themes that have been confirmed by reliable sources, so I won't dismiss them outright.
