How to make good pictures ?
Jim replied to Alex Ilea's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
What camera are you using by the way? True, always use the 2 sec timer or a remote. Distance can be important. In Lightroom you can apply Lens Correction to compensate for this unwanted effect. -

If I am not mistaken there's a link to 3rd party tubing in the contest information topic. -
How to make good pictures ?

Exactly! When I first bought my DSLR (70D), I was so disappointed with the quality of the pictures. I thought they would be crystal clear. Well, they weren't... -
How to make good pictures ?

Don't forget these two topics: I will be merging this topic with the latter. Having proper lighting like Rohan mentioned will help you out a lot. Indirect light works best in most situations. Actually, every digital pictures needs some post-processing to make it less grainy, sharper, etc. -
The age indication on the box is not a recommendation. It has to do with durability etc. Sets for lower ages tend to break less easy and are less delicate, can be thrown against the wall and stuff like that. The higher the age, the more delicate the set. Something like that. So it's more a quality control slash legislation thing, than a recommendation when someone is able to build a set. I like the big books. I store them in boxes, so that's no problem. The only problem I do see is that you can't build a set together with someone else. Multiple booklets allow for joined building, especially when a set has numbered bags.

Technic 2017 Set Discussion
Jim replied to CM4Sci's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Yup. And besides that; we have been discussing the sets for 16 pages now and it was pretty clear from the beginning that it is an RC Tracked Racer. I really wonder why people keep debating/questioning the same things over and over again. -

You're looking at it Thanks for understanding. I don't think there will actually be a "done" moment. There will be continuous progress and hopefully things will get back to normal in days/weeks....

Valid question. I have a 2560 pixel wide screen and it's....well....wide. Let me check if we can max out the width or someting.
-
I just switched that off. You now can use enter again like you used to.

Thanks for understanding! We had to upgrade numerous parts of the system and it didn't work out well. Some of the Admin have been working around the clock to fix the issues. I'd say that we still need a week or so to get things running smoothly and sort everything out. The most important thing was getting the update done!

To all of you.... WE ARE STILL IN THE MIDDLE OF UPGRADING THE SOFTWARE. THIS WILL TAKE SOME EXTRA TIME. THE BOARD DOESN'T LOOK HOW IT IS SUPPOSED TO LOOK AND SOME FEATURES ARE STILL MISSING. PLEASE BE PATIENT WHILE WE TRY TO FIX THE ISSUES.

Wow, what a response. Some of us have been working our behinds off to the get the new forum up-and-running. And all we get is a reply like this?! Shame on you! There is still a lot to be done, so hopefully the rest of the audience will have a bit more patience. The new forum software is currently rebuilding all posts (which are numerous). After that, the bbcode display issue should be fixed.

Hi, Joining EB just to promote your Ideas project is against site regulations. It's okay for a member to have links in their signature, or to create a topic about the MOC and add a link to the Ideas project. But you are blatantly promoting your project. I have removed the content.

I'm talking about separating MT from Technic, not Creator. That's why I suggest combining MT and Creator into a new forum. These kind of restrictions or guidelines are hard to explain and hard to enforce. It see I made a mistake. It should not contain Mindstorms. Modeling, Architecture, Mindstorms, Creator, Model Team and Sculptures & Art. My bad, sorry.
