I am sure not only myself but a gazillion other people asked Buwizz to produce some analog remote.. that would solve much! I mean BC2 app is great but when i use that plus a gamepad I often have some lag from 2x bluetooth and/or some permanent noise in my Buwizz3. Maybe in a few years we'll look back on those dark times with a smile, then having all the products we need :-) <3

Certain MK hubs can do (but for some reason not with MK servo, but with Lego servo). Not sure why that isn't more of a thing by now.. :-/ I also recently tried out cada receiver+ remote and for some reason Cada has not even prop acceleration (only on/off).. what a crap :-o -

sorry can you explain this more idiot proof please? I find nothing anywhere online about that procedure (and whatever I do, nothing happens). Also please specify once more which remote/receiver we're talking about? 6chan or really 4 chan (which from what I experience has no functionality in the shoulder buttons).. thanks! PS: For the record, I connected a 9,6V battery to the 6chan mould king receiver and it works (fully charged i measured 11,xV output towards the motor - good speed upgrade). But I still have 2 buggy motors on one channel, that should probably be fixed for longevity reasons.. -

Interesting, thanks for bringing up all those products. I agree though, without prop. steering it's again useless. Every product has a major flaw, why can they not simply combine it and create something that everybody would buy in an instant? I don't get it.. :-( -

@aFrInaTi0n Thanks! If I get that to work, that'd be awesome! @Gimmick Well as I said, driving with touchpad is shyte and connecting phone and gamepad is sometimes laggy and always cumbersome (and especially with my rc boats, I do not want to give my kids the phone as well as the expensive gamepads.. rather a cheap chinese remote. If I may ask for electric experts once again.. just for fun I ordered a 9,6V 700mAh battery, but for some reason it is not slightly bigger than the 7,4V 600mAh battery (as I'd have expected) but it's like 5x the size (so way too big for my model). Not sure if that idea of mine (to connect a slightly higher voltage for increased speed) is realistic, when I can't even find a small enough battery :-/ -

hm i got some cheap chinese buggy motors.. not sure if MK? where did you buy yours? PS: bit off-topic but on my model I have to connect two buggy motors to one port (only way to accelerate both with one remote stick no?) does that mean each buggy motor gets only half power? -

Thanks folks - good to hear I'm not alone, dreaming of "simple, controller, phys. steering" :-) I wouldn't go for 11v.. but do you think 9v (instead of the 7 currently with my mouldking boxes) would work? I am not an electric engineer really, don't know if e.g. the box wouldn't (fully) charge a 9v battery connected or some other unforeseen side effect :-/ -

PS: I just disassembled my mouldking battery boxes and - the small one (4 ports) has a 7,4v 600mAh battery - the big one (6 ports) has a 7,4v 550mAh battery weird that the big one has an even smaller battery but anyway.. guess the chinese also save costs wherever they can. -> Do you think I could simply buy a 9/9,6V battery and connect it to the circuits (using lego connectivity and bluetooth etc just having higher voltage, more rpm for lego motors)? -
Hi all, in my long struggle with Buwizz, BC2 app (I always hated steering anything via touchscreen or having to use the phone as intermediary to a gamepad) I finally landed with a cheap mouldking set (battery box and remote). Great - almost perfect. While the complex settings from Buwizz isn't really missed - the power is! Long story short: May I ask you for your experience, what's the best available battery box/bluetooth remote set? From what I found, mouldking and Cada have identical looking ones (same size as Buwizz but worse positioned holes), but they are significantly weaker compared to 11v buwizz no? PS: Not sure if that exists but has anybody ever found an oldschool (radio controlled) set compabible with lego? That would be even better I guess (less lag, more range, no?) Thanks!

Mouldking comes with a hardware-remote control (if buwizz or lego had that we wouldn't need BC2 app in the first place).. or what am I missing? Not saying BC2 is bad (it's vital for buwizz/lego), but just saying MK is really what's needed (for kids to play, quick and easy - without mobile phone). If only it came in better quality and didn't have that big chaos around which hubs allow prop. steering and which don't).. :-/- 1,308 replies

my question was: "for PU M motor, acting as servo - shall I use servo mode (that seems to move the steering to the very maximum right position once connected) or normal mode (which seems to work, as in move left and right but won't return to center). I haven't found any calibration functionality so far" (more people seem to experience issues with PU motors used as servos, I think - anything that you could share in that aspect would be much appreciated) thanks again for your great app!- 1,308 replies

Hi Istvan! big thanks for continuous efforts on your great app! two questions please: - for PU M motor, acting as servo - shall I use servo mode (that seems to move the steering to the very maximum right position once connected) or normal mode (which seems to work, as in move left and right but won't return to center). I haven't found any calibration functionality so far my buwizz 3 works with your iOs app, but on my android phone, it can't be found since last update (both app and buwizz firmware). in the "devices" window, when clicking the magnifying glass button i only receive a "warning - error during scanning" :-( hope you can advise. Thanks!- 1,308 replies

Oh dear.. we all know that every company has limitations, but that never justifies lying to customers and selling not-working products. And remember.. Istvan is a one-man show. At this point it must be clear even to the biggest fanboy: Buwizz does not WANT to solve any problems.. just sell overpriced units as long as possible and delay and distract complaining customers. Honestly to me the whole "connect rc motors to your phone" is a dead end anyway. Just give me a recharchable battery and some hardware-remote (like the old lego, just not infrared of course.. and of course with analog sticks for smooth steering.. similar to every 30€ kids RC toy car).. How long can it be until some chinese lego-clone comes up with that?

May I ask if there is any update on the "use PU motors as servos with BC2 app" topic? That would indeed by the best solution around the whole PU/buwizz/gamepad scenario.. *dream* :-)- 1,308 replies

haha.. can't believe they're still talking of fw updates. You promised those for BW2 already years ago. Nothing ever came.. And even if you manage to implement servo steering, it'd be useless anyway without gamepad support. My only hope (as always when about Buwizz) is with Brickcontroller2 app.. :-/

tractor 4wd drivetrain
wower replied to wower's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I see.. I like the mechanical aspect, i.e. having 3 diffs and relatively proper gearing. Problem is of course in the end the tractor won't drive properly if so much as 1 wheel is in the air. :-/ -
hello, i bought myself 2 of those new tyres (from 42129) and thought they go well together with the old 42099 tyres make a tractor (something I always wanted to build) :-) now my question is (please redirect me if necessary, but I couldn't find such a thread anywhere): - can you think of any existing drivetrain instructions for 4wd with smaller tyres front and bigger tyres in the back? I really only ever found LEGO tractors with 4 identical wheels.. - since the big ones are roughly 33% bigger in circumference, do I need to have the front axle turn 33% faster with some extra gear combo? or just include a center diff? Many thanks for all possible hints and tricks!
