Will hybrids appeal to kids as much as regular dinosaurs?I have no knowledge of hybrids or. Ne’er arched Camp Cretaceous tv show or anything that relates to hybrids outside of movies. I think Spinosuaurs skull will come later. I would assume that they will do Triceratops, Pteranodon or Velcritpor skull. Not sure about raptor claw/sickle. Without whole fossil, it is barely recognizable.if I have a claw in my hand, someone would ask me “what is that?” I vividly rmemeber Alan Grant held that sickle in he very beginning of the original. Movie but that’s just it. No quite iconic when he tossed sickle aside later in that movie. So I am in favor for raptor skull.

Ok i have a random quesiton about bio-luminous Parasaurlophus. Is there ever a glow-in-the-dark printing in Lego world? If so, it would be interest to see that they print Parasaurlophus in that glow-in-the-dark material.

I’m in favor for aquatic dinosaurs like Spinosaurus! Personally, I prefer nomral prehistoric dinosaurs over gene-engineered ones like kI-Rex, Indroraptor S-rex. I might use S-rex as an “alien” lol

That’s a good news that we will get more dinosaurs next year! But I’m little worried about production in full rush…. I would be fine with production pushing back. 10th annivesary for the first JW movie/lego sets and JW4 movies in the same wave? I dunno…. But I’m leaning toward Jurassic World 4 sets rather than 10th anniversary stuff. 9 sets? Interesting. It could explain that Dominion sets will reach EOL soon. 2022 - new dinosaurs (Gigantosaurus, Therizinosaurus, Pyroraptor, Queztacoatlus, Atricoratpor, and Beta the teen raptor). Other exiting dinosaurs are recolored (Triceratops, T-rex, Velocriatpor, Dilophosaurus) 2023 - new dinosaur (Brachiosaurus). Other existing dinosaurus are recolored (Tricertops, T-rex, Dilophosaurus, Velocriatpor) 2024 - new dinosaurs (Stegosaurus and Allosaurus) Ohter exiting dinosaur (unknown raptor) I feel like 9 sets would bring us between 2 - 5 dinosaurus but I won’t set my hope higher (and you too). But I would be happy that they introduce mid-sized body parts for exiting dinosaurus like Carnotaurus or legs wiht no sickles for Baryonyx and Therizinosaurus.

I always view City Space sets as they are based in faraway galaxy in the distant future. However, thanks to Classic_Spaceman, he makes a good point that it’s precursor to Mars Mission , Galaxy Squad, etc. I think it makes sense now. I stil love the idea of City in different time periods (distant future for Space, middle age for Castle, golden age of pirate for Pirates). I’m just saying that City Space sets give me a sense of “exploring the future” out of pure imgination. City’s upcoming Jungle subtheme is not great, not exaclty what we hoped for. Vehicles are too modern while there is Johnny Thunder who was suppsoed to be in 1920s, not in 21st century. If there is City going into Future, then it should go into Past. Of course, it’s my hypothesis / wishful thought.

Nah, pirate ship is totally not ruled out. With Star Wars on shelves, we have bunch of Space sets. With Hogwarts castle on shelves, we have bunch of castles and medival town sets. As for Modular Building, it’s a different story. When designers were planning a newspaper building, they realized there was another 18+ set - Daily Bugle from Marvel still on shelves that time, they put that idea on hold for a while.

Yup it’s Dungeons and Dragon CMF Series this fall! i can’t wait to hear some leaks for CMF series in 2025.

My thoughts on the four options: Option #1 - I would love to see something new, something different in following Space City subtheme suit! But right now, we have Monkie, DreamZzz and Ninjago on shelves, I feel it’s toomuch action-focused themes at once, not signaling Adventurers to come back soon. But my ideal new theme would be based on “Lost City” right under our feet - a spiritual successor to Adventurers. A daught (or granddaughter) of Johnny Thunder sets off to find Lost City that is filled with crystal-decorated dinosaurus and mutatnt crystallized denizens. Or…competely new team on quest looking for Sky Treasure - a floating castle that is never seen for centuries. Option #2 - I would be delighted to see Egypt-based one-off set! Somethign new, like Lion King’s Castle. Option #3 - I’m not sure… I am not totally into nostalgia stuff. The new El Dorado set is too faithful to its original verison and some Pirate fans are…picky on it? I love something new and different so I go wih Options #1 and #2. Option #4 - It’s little tricky to come up with 12 minifiguress! But it doesn’t have to include all iconic characters from past themes. Just like Series 26 Space that is mix of robot, alien, astronaut and random minifigures. Plus, you would be disappointed if you hope the character that is more exactly what you had one in the past but it’s not exaclty what you wanted..For example,you asked for Basil the Batlord but you got Vampie Knight. However, it’s really neat to have a new bat-wing helmet for Vampire Knight! Now take a look at Series 26 Space, there are three famous astronauts from three old themes (Blacktron, Ice Planet and M:Tron) and space aFOLs are quite picky on how those minifigures look. So I keep my expectations lower. Here is my ideal Adventurers Series: 1.) Johnny Thunder (in Everest outfit with reused collar piece from Snow Guardian from CMF Series)* 2.) Pippin (in Desert outfit) 3.) Dr. Kirby (in Jungle outfit with tiger cub) 4.) Baron Von Baron /Sam Sinister (with a new baby T-rex) 5.) Wannabe Adventurer Kid (with Johnny Thunder’s hat+ponytail and a book that depicts Johnny) 6.) Re-Awakening Pharaoh (Asher-Ra) 7.) Harry Cane (2x3 printed map) 8.) Snow Warrior (Mount Everest) 9.) Young Hero (Josh Thunder) (with a baby Pterandon and hatched egg) 10.) Fake Yeti (with Yeti costume) 11.) Sun Guardian (Achu) (with sun disk and new headgear just like Vampire Knight’s helmet) 12.) Jackgal Deity (Anubis) *Nte: we already have Jungle Explorer (Johnny Thunder) from Sees 19) but it’s nice to have a new outfit. Personally, I would be LOVE to see Jun-Chi, Yeti and Tigurah make thier comebacks in CMF that would look like the old verisons of themselves -they used leg and arm molds so it’s easy to save money. But head+torso molds are quite challenging.

Before Advent Calendar set’s reveal, I was wondering if Lego would do a space-themed advent calendar for City as 2024 is Year of Space. Like…astronauts and aliens celebrate Christmas in a distant galaxy! Alien with Santa’s hat! Alien reindeer! Santa Claus in astronaut suit with galactic map! A tree with a crystal piece s a topper! But after its reveal, I actually love htat advent calendar - a bunch of cute sweaters and THAT dog! Mrs. Claus is superb! I don’t complain about regular advent calendar as it is for many years. USD$32? That’s pretty decent! Actually, I care becuase I love fun fact! Thanks for sharing this. :)

Looks like there is a space-theme set left this year and it’s Icons Moment’s Williams set. Is there any more i might overlook?

Honeslty, I don’t consider Spce City as a “successor” to a former space theme myself. I am sorry but I still don’t understand what is your point behind “going into past has nothing do with City” while there are futuristic spaceships in City. But *shurgs* whatever you like to say

I don’ think that makes sense if you would say same thing about going into future as it already happened. As I mentioned before, it seems there is no available slot for standalone “Space” theme so they decided to put it into City instead. It gives me sense of “being sent” into future with interstellar spacecraft, mech, and aliens. it’s unlikely, yes but it would be neat to see City subtheme going into past and explore “history’. If they do a time-traveling stuff, then they should do a rebooted Time Cruisier theme. DreamZzz is not exactly a time-traveling theme but still has some cool and useful accessories for Csstle, Pirates and Space.

Im not sure why some people expect some printed pieces for Mona Lisa’s face? Is it really expnsive to print something “realistic” for Munda Lisa? I’m with Lyichir on medium, I do not mind blockiness.

That does sound nice to me. we have Mateo and Z-Blob Knght and Castle Nocturium sets from Dreamzzz coming up this year. And we have 3 new dragon molds this year - one from Harry. Potter, one rom Ninjago and one from Dungeon & Dragon. I do understand that I am in minority that I prefer molded dragons over buildable one but I would be okay with crossing-theme that introudce us a new buildable dragon.

That’s true that Lego always did castle theems that set in Europe while they only did one theme that set in Japan in 1990s. I would love to see something different like shogun’s castle (which I don’t think it would be likely while we hae Ninjago on shelves or Middle Eastern castle. I think there are very few castles in America tho.

Looking at Space City and Space Freinds sets, I am going to be honest with you. I don’t care if you think I’m crazy but I think I don’t mind that they will put actual castle into City subtheme instead of festival types like fairs renissance. This is a hypthesis. Why? Space City takes its place in distant future, where there are futuristic spacecrafts and aliens. So probably City should go back into past where there are knights and dragons. Time traveling sounds pretty cool. Friends could have realistic sets like faire renissance and archery range jsut like they have Mars mission sets this year (take a look at Bed & Breakfast set). So I think it would be neat for knights and dragons show up in City subtheme (seriously don’t let City logo bother you, just you would still get castle sets…). and currently, it seems there won’t be some avaaible slots for castle theme in 2025 since there are so many themes coming up (Descreable me 4, Wicked, Wednesday in 2024). I guess it would be cool for Lego to do crosscutting theme jsut like they does wiht Space this year. Personally I really like idea of time traveling. Remember, this is my hypothesis, othing confirmed.

I think Samurai X is still a massive mech even tho. It’s not Titan Mech or ninja mech. I feel Nya’s Samurai mech is more unique from Titan mechs. so we will see about Nya’s Titan Mech in future.

I would like something differnet than that portrait. So how aout the Scream painting?

Agreed, i just think it’s fun to see animals in thier sitting positions. It’s just little weird to see minifigures sitting while all animals stand up. But you are right that some animals we never got are long overdue! I don’t know how “easier” it is to play with if it doesn’t have “movement” motion, exaclty? I imagine putting a sitting cat on top of trash can iin alley for MOC. Or a sitting dog as it watches a squirrel in park. I am pretty sure some of animal fans wish for certain sitting aniamls for thier MOCs or dioramas. But it’s also playful for moveable big cat, horse and bear. I don’t think they need sitting positions. I just talk about small animals. Oh and elephant says hello. It doens’t have moveable legs.

I would be pleased if they make a new mold for griffin statue but I doubt it anyways.

So I decide to throw my quesiton out onto here… is it likely that Lego would make new molds for existing dog molds (German shepherd, bulldog, retirever, etc)? We have been seeing dogs in thier standing positions while we see a few birds have both sitting and “flying” positions. Why not dogs having laying-down or sitting positions? Of course not only dogs, cats too! EDIT: I know there is a sitting dog mold - chilanhua, but that’s it.

And Jurasic World even tho it’s just a licensed theme. Same here. It has me curious there. I heard that Jurassic World theme would be revealed in roughly two weeks on Lego.com. I think Monkie Kid sets might be added after mid-month?
