  1. Doesn't look bad to me, at least not from that angle!
  2. Yeah, that doesn't seem particularly high. People have even beat that with just Buwizz stuff!
  3. Yeah, not necessarily a LOTR specialist, but someone who knows enough about it to good reviews. I'll try Solid Brix; thanks!
  4. I'm wanting to watch or read a quality review of Minas Tirith, but, spending most of my time in the Technic world, I don't know who the quality reviewers in this space are. Are there any particular reviewers you could recommend to me with a good grasp of Middle-Earth? Thanks!
  5. Is the plan to have direct-drive motors? That seems like the only way to achieve that kind of speed without bearings or metal axles. I guess one option to limit tire ballooning would be to use very large tires, like the BMW motorcycle ones? That way you get a lower RPM for a given speed, with less centrifugal force to pull off the tire? That probably introduces a lot of other design compromises, though. It sounds like a really cool project, though! Is my understanding correct that this is a newly added record to their list, that no one has submitted yet?
  6. They had a knob wheel for their ratcheting mechanism, though, didn't they? I'd probably count that as a gear. (When my buddy and I parted together the Mustang from his collection, he didn't have any knob wheels handy, so we used a 24T gear and a modified ratchet. It seemed to work better with more teeth!)
  7. Apparently I don't have anything newer than 2022! Though there's gotta be some newer sets I could part out? I probably wouldn't have time to make an entry anyways (Just moved and need to unpack; starting a new job with 50+ hour weeks; got a 1:8 car MOC to finish; and have projects from other hobbies to finish...) Limiting it to just 2026, or even just the last couple years, could be fairly limiting for members, though. Especially given how much we like to complain about the recent sets, it wouldn't be too surprising if some of us actually didn't buy them!
  8. I wonder if the existence of this 64T gear makes it at all more likely that a 32T gear would be introduced. After all, a 32T one would be in the same family as the 16T and 64T, capable of meshing with both of them at whole number spacings. It probably doesn't mean much, but I'd have to think it makes it slightly more likely! Really it's just a matter of how long it takes before Lego actually needs one for some model, I guess
  9. Got it, thanks! A more neutral recolor is nice to have
  10. I'm a big fan of this model! So detailed, so big, and so unusual! And there's even a complicated suspension involved! Glad to see progress on it
