  1. Very nice diorama! There's much to see. A mine shaft, a carriage on rails pulled by an ox and a furnace to melt gold. Good selection of minifigures and an interesting story.
  2. A great idea and well-built ovens.
  3. Many Thanks, I am glad that you like my ship. Many Thanks, The stern of the ship is well done. I still have problems with the bow of the ship. Many Thanks, Now I understand it. Before that I thought that it also counted at Pirate MOCs because everything belongs to LEGO Pirates. I have since deleted the link. I really enjoy reading stories. Writing myself is difficult for me because most of the time I have no ideas. I have saved your comment on the computer. Next time I'll try to write according to your instructions. Many Thanks, It is possible to build with real Lego bricks. However, additional bricks are required in the ship's hull. The construction must be made more stable. At Bricklink without sails and minifigures 4910 parts Euro 3000.--. It is probably cheaper if I can order as many parts as possible from Lego Shop. Many Thanks, This hull was an exercise in the construction of the Habana galleon.
  4. Many Thanks, It is the last ship I built with a prefabricated hull. Many Thanks, Now I know how to do the rigging when I build a ship with real Lego bricks again. Many Thanks, I like when the ship's bow and stern are a little higher. This makes the ship look more interesting. Many Thanks, The reference to the Barracuda ship is most clearly visible at the stern of the ship. After this ship I started building custom hulls.
  5. Interesting story and well-built artillery depot! Sergeant Hobbes looks like a pirate, patriot glorious Oleon soldier.
  6. Brethren of the Brick Seas: Class 7 Rating system of the Royal Navy: 6th rate https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rating_system_of_the_Royal_Navy TOB 11 by Philippe, auf Flickr The hull leans slightly outwards on the side, then inwards. I don't like Tetris on the ship's deck and railing. That's why I built it mostly flat and with few height differences. I want to see curves and as few corners as possible. TOB 07 by Philippe, auf Flickr The captain's cabin is a little wider. Here the hull is built towards the outside at the bottom and towards the inside at the top. TOB 08 by Philippe, auf Flickr Light cannons have been added on the upper deck. Because the ship is wider, the cannons can also be operated. There is enough space in width. These must of course be smaller than the cannons on the cannon deck. TOB 09 by Philippe, auf Flickr Swivel guns are always useful. I moved the main mast further back. A longer row boat was built. TOB 05 by Philippe, auf Flickr I improved the shape of the ship. I like the view from above. I can even see that the hull is getting narrower towards the top. TOB 06 by Philippe, auf Flickr My ships are similar but not the same "learning by doing". Correcting and changing is too time-consuming, changes to the ship's hull have consequences for the entire ship, building a new one is easier. Every ship is a new build with improvements. TOB 10 by Philippe, auf Flickr I'm not entirely happy with the bow of this ship. Maybe I can build the bow differently and better. I don't know, at the moment I have no idea. I like the rest, maybe just small improvements. TOB 04 by Philippe, auf Flickr I like that I can build the ship wider and more realistic with the Custom Hull. The widest point on the main deck 24 studs (included railing). The main deck is from the aft to the forward railing 87 studs (included railing), at the feet of figurehead 96 studs. The waterline is 87 studs. Total length 117 studs. http://www.suave.net/~dave/cgi/scale.cgi TOB 01 by Philippe, auf Flickr It's good that I building digitally. So, I don't have to spend any money for bricks to build a ship that I don't like when it's finished. Sails are just decoration, with real bricks I use cotton sails. Masts and rigging are adapted to the existing sails. A digital build should also look good and realistic. That also includes minifigures. TOB 02 by Philippe, auf Flickr
  7. Brethren of the Brick Seas: Class 7 Another MOC from the 21322 Barracuda Ship. Venezia 05 by Philippe, auf Flickr My first Barracuda Frigate had too many flaws and things that I didn't like. That's why I rebuilt this one. Venezia 06 by Philippe, auf Flickr The bug was completely changed. Venezia 07 by Philippe, auf Flickr The gradations and Tetris curves for the cannons remain. Venezia 13 by Philippe, auf Flickr The deck only has 3 levels. Before it was 7 and I was annoyed when I wanted to place something on the deck. Venezia 09 by Philippe, auf Flickr Ship railing now has no Tetris levels. Venezia 12 by Philippe, auf Flickr The masts and rigging were built more realistically. Venezia 11 by Philippe, auf Flickr For the sails I will use fabric ones. I only built it from Lego bricks so that the photos are more interesting. Venezia 10 by Philippe, auf Flickr A ship only comes to life with minifigures. Therefore, a crew that is ready for boarding. Some pirates have bottles-grenades. 8. @CapOnBOBS Very nice story. Maybe your daughter will be joining the Sea Rats in 14 years?
  9. Funny story! I'm glad George still likes tulips. Very nicely built room. I especially like the windows. The Cliff of Pontelli is a very well built and funny photo story!
  10. Interesting story, I'm curious what happens next. I like the landscape with the different plants. Great positioning of the minifigures. The scythe looks really good.
  11. That looks really great and realistic! I'm just imagining what it would look like if 10 were kneeling and 10 standing behind it. That would look impressive! The heavy lancer looks great too.
  12. A very nice diorama. I like the castle in the colorful autumn landscape. There are many interesting and also funny scenes.
  13. Nice lighthouse. I like the transition from the square tower to the round platform. The rooms in the rock are also very interesting.
  14. Nice little ship for coastal and river traffic. Very nice photos again. LT Gabbi was in a box in the previous story. Did he board the ship alone?
  15. Interesting photo story. I like the warehouse right on the jetty under the street.
  16. It's well built. Pushy vendors selling shoes and bags.
  17. Thanks for the tutorial. It was very interesting to see how it is done. I have never worked with CAD software before. How much time did you need to make the sail?
  18. The pirate inn fits in very well with a pirate scenario. I like that it was built on the island with palm trees and a pier.
  19. These are again very nicely built houses. Pumpkins are a good alternative and do not need to be guarded. A good song selection.
  20. The room is beautiful! The walls with structure and decorations look great. I like the windowsill a lot. In addition very nice and noble furniture. The tiles on the floor look great.
  21. I can see that the cannons on the lowest deck protrude further than on the upper deck. Would the original Lego cannon (with the larger diameter of the tube) look better on the lowest deck?
  22. All cannons look the same to me. Vasa (ship) The cannons on the ship must be the largest and heaviest at the bottom. The weight has to get lighter towards the top.
  23. Commodore Kane! 50066874811_1be1e5427c_o 01 by Philippe, auf Flickr With my fleet of merchant ships, I will bring peace, freedom, justice and security! DSC08705A by Philippe, auf Flickr
  24. The ship looks great. It is a very good guide on how to build a ship of the line. My only point of criticism. The cannons. On the lowest deck are the large and heavy cannons. The cannons on the upper deck are smaller and lighter. On the next deck, the cannons are even smaller and lighter. The effort to change it is too great. Keep building the ship as it is now. Learning by Doing. My standard saying in everything I build: "I'll do better next time." If you really want to build an interior: Giant LEGO HMS Victory Ship with Complete Interior! HMS Victory
  25. I didn't know that Cooke was in so many topics. Later I will read from the beginning. I like the interior, it looks like a monastery. The holders with the candles on the wall are interesting. The outside area is also well built. I noticed it had guards from Oleon and Corrington. Where's Eslandola?
