  1. This is a very interesting, unexpected and exciting continuation of the story. Lorenzo, the son of a "merchant dynasty", who offer diving lessons in addition to their main activities. Lorenzo Luppino is an illegitimate son and the outsider in the family. I read your story and see your build, it doesn't fit together. What we see has nothing to do with the letter Lorenzo read. I see that a tree is being felled at Lorezo's hip height. When the tree falls, a ghost appears in the upper half. Excellent construction and special effects. What is the story behind the build? Thoughts: By name, Lorenzo was a Luppino. But he never felt comfortable or like he belonged to the family. As I understand it, there is currently The Kingdom of Mardier, The Kingdom of Oléon, Terra Pontilla a region south of Oléon (Riverlands Trade League) and the Luppino dynasty. In my opinion, Lorenzo does not have good prospects in the Luppino dynasty. What if his father is no longer alive, will he still get a diving lesson? The links in the story are very good; additionally, a list of links to the previous stories would be helpful. This would make the continuing story easier to understand.
  2. Thank you all for the detailed answers. I understand and respect your opinion and rules. The goal of a Tales of Old or future "Brethren of the Brick Seas ERA III" should be to encourage as many participants as possible to play on a long-term basis.
  3. What I particularly liked about Brethren of the Brick Seas ERA II was that I could build something in a settlement independently of competitions and time pressure. Tales of Old apparently consists only of competitions with a 30-day build time! Tales of Old currently consists only of competitions where professionals can win with real bricks. There is only one winner! First place, the winner! That's the one with the best build. Everyone else lost! What happened to a participant who told a good story? What happened to a participant who created a digital build? Tales of Old is already, in its first competition, only for Lego professionals who build with real bricks. The second competition is no better. Again, only 30 days. The challenge is very high, and stories are not judged separately! Digital builds? Brethren of the Brick Seas ERA III. Building with real bricks, digital bricks, and storytelling participants are all welcome! Existing and new players should have fun! Building something in a settlement that exists independently of competitions. Not everyone is a professional builder. You should also give beginners a chance to participate in the game.
  4. The architecture is very beautiful! I particularly like the loggia with its columns in the outdoor area. The railings, made of stone and cast iron, are also well constructed. The interior furnishings, including the curtains with golden holders, the table, and the comfortable sofa, look elegant. A glass of wine can certainly be helpful during negotiations. Allegedly, the Sea Rats also mix rum into the wine to improve negotiations.
  5. Great action build and interesting story! The guy with the flail helps keep ears warm during the cold season.
  6. A very beautiful castle built on a rock! I like the entrance area with the stone floorboards and the wide staircase.
  7. Excellent craftsmanship in the timber-framed house; I especially like the elaborate door.
  8. A nice stone house and good and interesting story. The entrance area with its wooden staircase is very well done.
  9. It looks good, the small windows look like embrasure.
  10. A great story with interesting information about the stradioti and the own family circumstances! Exciting, Lorenzo Luppino has an evil stepmother and half-siblings, this makes the story even more varied and leaves many possibilities open. A beautiful build with people celebrating in the tent camp. The camp is right next to the ruins of pillars, and a rabbit can also be seen.
  11. I would also like to live in this "modest estate". I really like the covered entrance area with the loggia above it. The covered viewing platform on the roof is also very nice
  12. This is a prestigious property and a well-told story! A castle-like house made of stone and wood with an additional defensive wall. I like the skylight on the house and the round tower on the defensive wall.
  13. This is an adventurous diorama! The narrow stone bridge is magnificent. The birds are also wonderfully built and well-positioned. It looks cool and funny to see Justin Case walking across the bridge to musical accompaniment.
  14. A very beautiful landscape diorama! The camp is built in detail; a deer is being prepared to be roasted. The story ends on a cliffhanger. I'm curious what's written in the letter.
  15. A very beautifully built little diorama! I like the different colors of the house, tower and wall with gate. Interesting story, I'm curious to see what happens when the patriarch sees him. Is he still angry because Tiberio ran away years ago, or is he happy to have a brave soldier as his personal guard? Even if he were accepted, I am sure Tiberio would not want to remain a guard for the rest of his life.
  16. A beautiful kontor right on the canal! A building, built with many details and ornaments. The pulley system is one of the most interesting and useful details. The separate build with the interior view is also very well done. The story is told in an exciting way. Lorenzo Luppino seems to be a clever merchant because he does business with Rip Ravenclaw.
  17. Well done, I like that! The unit is really formidable. The clothing, weapons, and helmets are very well combined.
  18. Very interesting to see the construction progress. I like the beakhead; it's a nice color combination. @Professor Thaum is right, the glass door doesn't fit. Also keep in mind that a minifigure is 4 pins wide. I think you want the sailors to be able to go in and out through the door. You should use a 4 pin wide and 4-5 pin high wooden door without windows.
  19. Excellent diorama and story! A beautiful castle! Truly beautiful architecture, especially interesting are the windows, I also really like the big tree. The Taemric residents are excellently done. The idea of subfactions in Tales of Old is good and interesting. You have written a great novel! The relationship between the various clans, tax collectors and Corrington's nobles is tense. I think as long as Ewan is alive, everything is fine with Clan Brickleton, but one day there will be perhaps much trouble with Callum.
  20. I found 10. 1 rabbit, 1 bird, 1 pig, 1 snake, 1 dog, 3 fish (one barrel contains 1 fish, the other contains 2 fish), 1 mouse, and on the top of the tower above the flag is 1 weather vane.
  21. Thank you for the interesting comparison. I like the weapons from Brickarms, Brick Warriors and Brick Troops because they look realistic.
  22. Great diorama! I don't even know where to look first. Very beautiful landscape with different plants, plus a jetty, tower and other things. I really like the minifigures.
  23. A very beautiful architecture and color combination of the building. I also like the fountain. The characters from BoBS in new clothes and other names in Tales of Old are also very well done.
  24. Good story and interesting introduction to Szejmus and his family. The hut looks interesting and is well built.
  25. This thread should be "pinned". Good idea and interesting game. 1. 1. Construction time? Chapter I: "The Return Home" Entries will close and voting will open on Monday 3 November. Chapter I: "The Return Home" Entries will close and voting will open on Monday 3 November. The Challenges Every other month, players will be given a prompt. You will then have until the end of the month to build a Lego MOC in response. Digital or physical, large or small, purist or third-party, legal or illegal; we don't mind. If you put something together, you're good. My criticism concerns the construction time. I only see 30 days. 2. 2. BOBS TOO? Will BOBS TOO replace regular BOBS and will there not be an Era III? Firmly no. Era III is still in the works. BOBS Tales of Old is a side project, an escapade into an earlier time frame of the BOBS setting. It is not meant as a replacement whatsoever. More like an expansion pack in game terms, bringing something alternative and new. What happens to BOBS TOO when BOBS Era III is released?
