Yes! You finally brought Carter and Robot the robot back! The banter between the four here is hilarious, especially Sun's intermittent commentary on it all, specially the says-it-all *snort* A great little cameo to be sure, a couple more and Shwartz will have been ridiculed by every character in the whole comic! Can't wait till next one, how's it shooting in a smaller place? Batbrick Away!

All I know is that as a kid I NEVER listened to the story, I made one up. I think TLC does credit kids with intelligence, but also knows that some won't take to liking storylines. That's why we have imagination, because TLC knows that one kid can make up an awesome backstory for the conflict or heck, even ignore the conflict altogether, while another might just smash the two ships together. Also, awesome to see you're liking the theme KDog, I was hoping you would. On further notice the "Squidman" (I'm joking, no need to drop a piano on me) is still awesome, I'm sure that piece will come in great use. The fact that we get a FREAKING RETRO SPACE CAR is also making me giddy as a schoolboy. I only just noticed the gold bars just a moment ago so now I'm really excited, because coupled with the bars from Agents Gold Hunt and I can make a Gotham Gold Reserve! Unfortunately i just noticed the bug ugly shooter on the left side of the space car, so that and the technic "guns" on the front are gonna be removed pronto. Apart from that al the other technic looks to be incorporated very seamlessly. Also, I hope the orange head for "Squidman" (still joking) is printed in the final set. Space on! Batbrick Away!

This is simply beautiful, love the design and colour choices, great work. Batbrick Away!

Yay a new part already! Love the interaction between Valkyrie and Shwartz in this one, the "jumping the shark" is one of the funniest jokes so far. I really like how much of their romantic dates involve either bashing each others personality or bashing someone else Of course, I will not at all be surprised if she does steal his bike, especially when Friendlich arrives (I can see into the future) Batbrick Away!

What were your favorite Lego: Space - The Comic stories of 2008?
Batbrick replied to KDog's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
That's okay man, I had a great time reading them over again, I noticed a heap of small things which I'll post soon. Neat! Did you manage to get the DACTA base together yet? Good to hear you atleast put the news van together, I was wondering about that. I haven't noticed the colour thing actually. I'm glad you are tying them all in, in some way. I know you love Lost but I find that doing so puts a one up on that show, as I didn't like how each character tied in to separate things overlapping constantly till my head exploded. Yay! I think you're doing a good job of not making her "soft" as you put it, but I see how that would be a hard thing to achieve, just go at your own pace though mate and only write the stories you want to write, it's worked out so far especially since my theories on what would happen were a load of rubbish That's a great format to use, especially with things all tying together for a finale. I know this sounds obscure, but my favourite Batman runs (when a writer goes for like 8 or more issues in a row) are the ones when seemingly unrelated incidences all tie together at the end. Also like Cowboy Bebop (not sure if you've seen it) where the threads come together at the end when the main character's past and present meet. sorry for the rant, but I just really love this storytelling style. Actually I noticed it right away, I immediately thought everyone would. My "even with the vomiting" was just my sly little joke about it being gross. You could do that, though mind you I reckon you could find someway to fit them in. In any case, since you haven't used Space Police much at all I'm sure the police side of SPIII could fit in, even as the latest models or experimental craft. That's good mate, not the bit about having those feelings, but I know from personal experience that writing about your dark thoughts can really help you conquer them, and that it does feel awful having them, especially when you're not having the best of days. YES! YES! YES! I'd love to see that, so many great riffs could be made. I also like to think that was Verwaand stuck in the isolation chamber where Shwartz was going to be put before he announced he loved it. That's fine KDog, I've had a terrific time reading them. Like so many other well crafted comics or shows I've really invested in the characters and care about what happens to them, which is a mark of great writing. Strange as it seems this comic has actually been a sort of anti-depressant to me on bad days, I'd come home and read one and feel a lot better, it certainly is something that I can just have a great time reading no matter what else goes on in my life. Thanks again! -Oh, and I'll post my favourite one shots soon Batbrick is a little Space Crazy right now! -
That's sweet, very well done too in keeping the classic look of the craft. You're right though, I've never seen Fabuland in space before, neat idea! Batbrick is Back!

So sorry I've taken this long to reply KDog, I've been on a two week holiday at my power-free shack. Again sorry, but I was delighted to read them all. Hemming the Trousers was awesome. I feel so sorry for poor Henry though. As much as I laughed at the Vanilla Snowball ending I actually laughed harder upon re-reading when I read this bit: "I saw it! With my own periscope through your upstairs window!" Periscope? This guy is paranoid Important Missions was great. I love that your are taken the core characters of the Space Agency and moving them forward (except Red :p) Loved Weiss' sarcasm, loved Schwartz' casual flashbacks to bizarre events, loved the "important mission" to choose the next vehicle from your cameoing mocs (Love 'em by the way), but most of all loved the fact that Shwartz FINALLY is on shift! I'm really happy to see Meteor Madness II. I'm guessing that the duo of Verwaand and Friendlich will stop the fun after their tipoff about the icecream? Anyway I love this drawn comic. you style is very cool, Lego I know is harder to draw than you'd think, but you capture that atmosphere really well here. Also a lot of Wubness towards the way you draw Vanilla Snowball Of course the second part is great too. Love the use of the beach house set. Interested in Valkyrie's "Oh my God" bit too. I think the best bit though was the fact that she says that "Not every place in the galaxy looks like that Raven's Port dive your frequent you know" and yet Ralph Gunbar can be seen in the previous panel Was that intentional? Anyway, can't wait to see the rest, and check out the new Space Police 2009 set photos in the other thread. Batbrick Away!

Thanks for the pics! That theme is looking great! Love the look of the badguy, that helmet will come in great use. The theme is look awesomely a homage, blending modern building techniques with old school space with retro design in case of the baddies. If these turn out great I'm buying then all! Now if you'll excuse me I'll go inform KDog to his hopeful delight Batbrick is Back!

Absolutely fantastic TheBrickster! It's stuff like this which makes me regret leaving for two weeks, so sorry I missed it. a fantastic diorama with that recognisable Brickster charm to it. Love how you've fitted in everything especially the flying wing, well done on finding all those tan plates to support it. I love your little added scenes, especially the temple ruins and mining hive, both of which look fantastic! As always you never fail to bring a smile to my face, and keep going! Batbrick is Back!

I think the hair is just the Mary Jane hair to be frank. Anyway I am finally getting around to putting my opinion down on these sets. I love the Shanghai so I'll obviously get that one, probably two of that one in fact because of the sweetness. Thanks to whoever posted the instructions for the sets, I appreciate the Flying Wing a lot more now. The Aus price for the Chase is fine, but I think it is too much for the Flying Wing. I'll get them both though anyway, as I really need that mechanic fig and overall want to support the awesomness that is the Indy theme. Also, great to be hearing word on the next sets, can't wait to see pics. Batbrick is Back!

Hey man! Nice mocs there. Your Batpod is quite good, a little large but overall quite nice. your bank is cool too. The Gotham City Bank sign is a great touch but I think there needs to be some wall detail and windows. Of course it would make a great villain hideout also. Awesome to hear you were a little inspired by me too, thanks for that. If you were wondering who built the Iceberg Lounge moc on Brickshelf, that was me, it's on my account: I hope to see more Batwork from you! Batbrick is Back!

Sorry I took so long friend, I've been away for a bit. Love everything here! Joker's new goons are awesomely cool, now I'm really sad I didn't get any jesters Joker with a ton of grenades is also fantastic! Montoya's new look is actually very good too. As usual your generic gangsters and guards a great, love the use of different hats, hair and torsos. And Penguin's car is very good too, your friend did a very good job! Hoping to see more from you Batbrick Away!

Thanks for the awesome review svelte-corps! I love this little BBQ set, I really hope it comes here to me soon in Tas. I haven't had a chaf minifig before so this is great for me, I'll most likely get two so one can go in my Iceberg Lounge as the chef. Batbrick is Back!

As Zero said, the best for last KDog! You make a very good point here KDog, we never have seen Shwartz work! Slackerdude Baby! Love the ending montage, I was hoping for something like that, I spot a few not in the calender, is that Luscious there too? Anyway, hope you had a great Christmas too KDog! Batbrick Away!

No don't worry, that was just an update, it's also in the entry thread replacing the Batbox Merry Christmas too! Merry Batbrick! -
Yes! Galanos is in! Haha, loved his little quirks here, especially since you've only recently been finally giving Mikey Galanos his own stories. Hearing all this made me realise how much of a nerd and polar opposite of Shwartz he truly is! And of course he gets some action! Can't wait for the final one which will actually come for me at Christmas tomorrow! Thanks again KDog and well done on getting this far. Batbrick Away!

Sorry for the doublepost gents, but my entry has now been changed to better meet the spirit of the season: What? It's not Halloween you say? Well I'm bringin' it with me! Batbrick Away! -
I feel this comment in becoming redundant but here goes: It was obviously, obviously parody. The story was light hearted fun and a poke at Mr Freeze, don't take it seriously. Anyway, see previous comment for my thoughts on your latest moc Righteous Squid. Batbrick Away!

 Agreed! The Men in Black is a vast global organisation spanning centuries with access to technology new and old. Whilst my partner TheBrickster delves into the ancient dark arts and western design to create a fast and deadly machine, I chose to instead create a smaller, more agile machine using modern technology both real and fictional to make a snoxbow capable of out maneuvering those damned mechas! Whilst I distract the giant tin cans with my agile little speeder my partner will fire a single shot from his powerful cannon to destroy the leg joint, thus crippling them! And remember, to not vote for the Men in Black is to ask for a memory wipe! Batbrick Away! -
Wow! I don't even have to know exactly how much euros translates in to Aus dollars to realise that's going to be one big and expensive set! Hopefully it'll be worth it, I'd really love to buy that sucker. Batbrick Away!

Fantastic moc. I especially love the curved effect, I have only a slight idea of how it was accomplished but it certainly was accomplished! Those rabbits are very cute too. Overall the whole thing is wonderful, I especially love the train track pieces as water. Batbrick Away!

That thing is beautiful! Love the Steampunk feel and the driver's cockpit is wonderfully designed. The rear tank and pipes with smoke look great as well. Good job with the tracks too, I normally have a hard time with them. Batbrick Away!
