  1. Yes! I was fearing for you for a while there! Again some great dialog, involving cheesegraters and fishing wire and worse things than that. Loved the "Legion of Doom" line too, please please please tell me this is a reference to the DC Legion of Doom? Please? Batbrick Away!
  2. Using motorbikes as mechanical legs is one of the most innovative things I've seen. I tip my hat to you sir, this is one brilliant model! Batbrick Away!
  3. Thanks everyone for your wonderful comments! I'm so glad to be part of such a nice community, so thanks a heap for all the replies! Oh, you would have had it too! Next time then. Thanks too mate, much appreciated! Thanks man, I agree IA has made my building skills improve with each installment. You are right about the details too, I am not overly-good at building techniques so I always try to make up for it in the little details. Thanks, I agree too, I'm still trying to one up that darned Death Roller! Thanks Dragonator mate, your the best homicidal genocidal worl conquering maniac a guy could ever have I'm glad you like that crab too! WOW! I'm in awe, I only asked for people to name the creatures, not the mutants, undead etc, but you did it! WOW! You are definitely getting a role now! WOW! Great job! To be fair, while I agree this isn't the best one, this is really just a way of introducing a decision that unlike previous entries, doesn't hinge on a problem you see coming. Your decisions here will affect the next massive part of the plot. The calm before the storm if you will. Thanks for that though Thanks friend! Always good to have new readers! Thanks Mr. Mandalorian, appreciated as always. I agree with you some of the mutants could've been better, I wanted a few more and now feel like I cobbled them together. Thanks again everyone! Batbrick Away!
  4. So we'll never get the brown mustache? DAMNIT! I was so looking forward to using that for a young Gordon, damnit. Batbrick Away!
  5. Even if the Flying Wing was a little disappointing, I'll still vote for it out of nostalgia purposes, because I feel TLC still succeeded in creating the mood of the scene. I also don't like the extras of Peril in Peru. Overall they are pretty even though, I can't wait to get my hands on the flying wing. Batbrick Away!
  6. Ooh, tough one. I'll go with motorcycle chase though, as the new motorbikes, wonderful figs (Connery! ) and tan make it very useful to me. Mind you I consider them both to be top notch fantastic sets. Batbrick Away!
  7. And the award for least intelligent argument ever conceived goes to......wait a moment, I'm just opening the envelope........Danth! Give danth a round of applause everyone and remember, even road kill has made more cleverly voiced opinions than this! Seriously though, I do love how this space Police is looking to be a literal policing like theme. As someone else said previously the other Space Police themes while great felt more like the military. This feels so far like the Intergalactic Cops bringing down assorted factions. Batbrick Away!
  8. I love the the FW-190, my favourite plane of the war, Kurt Tank was truly a brilliant designer, he also created the wonderfully short takeoff Storche if memory serves me right. I hope one day it is created in Lego. But yes, I'm glad that Lego made the plane true to source, though I don't see a lot of fault in it, I hope it improves for you in tyhe final version. Oh, and I still haven't sen Mola Ram. Batbrick Away!
  9. I think that the red roof is not right, but as long as they keep the walls tan I'll buy it, I need as much of that colour as possible if I'm to make Wayne Manor. Batbrick Away!
  10. I actually think it's quite good. But watch the film again closely, it's not actually a Bf-109. What it is I have no idea, but this thing is too chunk to be one. Looks inda like a Focke Wulf fighter, but that's impossible at that time and this one is inline engine. Batbrick Away!
  11. Thanks Sir Dano! Love the look of these, though I'm afraid all three look like very "open" sets. here's my thoughts to share: Cemetery Fight: Looks quite neat, though I hope it shows better continuity in the final set, it seems a little broken up here. I'm also guessing the two skeleton warrior figs become one warrior fig, with a new skull face. Also a bike! A red bike! Was it red in the movie? *Checks* Yes it was! I'll finally have a bike for Robin! Also here is a spiderweb with spider (always useful), golden chest (same), a crystal skull and what could possibly be a new piece in Mutt's left hand. Venice Chase: Neat! Great that we get Elsa, but I'm also really excited about the possibilities of a fez! And the Brothers of the Cruciform Sword figs are too good to pass up! Given that Indy has a random torso, we can assume he may get his professor's outfit! Temple of Doom: Squee! It's all my fanboy dreams come true! The whole mine cart aspect looks great! I also spy another big flame piece aaaaaaaand......nothing else. Sorry. Away!
  12. Okay, sorry for the double post, but I'm finishing this once and for all! Favourite one shots: Stuck on Mars: I think the paranoid astronaut and robot are some of the most underused characters, they are so funny. This also marks the first appearance of Shwartz. Breaking Down the Fourth Wall: Love anything to do with fourth wall breaks, so this was a treat, ironically the speech bubbles were used soon after this. Preview: I love mysterious teasers, and this is no exception. It also freaked me out a little, so that's good. First Field Assignment: The Gemini Twins being the Gemini Twins, seeing them get drunk and in drag was ridiculously hilarious. 100th: All round hilarity, I hope you come up with a good idea for the 200th one as well! Breaking News: Again, fourth wall breaks are a treat, you need a character who routinely breaks the fourth wall. The Savage Element: This appealed to my cynical nature as well as my continuity geekness. There we go! Done! Sorry it took so long Batbrick Away!
  13. A) How do you know he is not wearing a shirt? For all we know he is like the classic yellow space figure, considering we know next to nothing. B) One of the Power Miners figs has a robot eye yet he is human. C) They both have the same background which adds to the theory it might be a goodie. D) The vehicle is also so small I'm surprised it can even have a colour scheme. E) It's TLC. Now I'm not saying it's not an alien, it probably is, but don't be so sure when we have such a blurry picture. Batbrick Away!
  14. Well I am loving the new sets, thanks for the link Erdbeeries! The King's Chariot looks quite nice and seems to have a few very useful dark blue pieces. Oh! And a plume! Plumes are back! I didn't see that before! I don't have those big wheels either so they will be useful to me, and orcs are always appreciated, though hopefully the final version has that new armour piece. The Drawbridge to me is looking like the best set with the best figs. Nice to have skllies back, but the real treat is that awesome gold knight and jester, the latter especially considering I didn't get the calender. There's the queen too which is great, and I love the overall design. The Troll Fortress too looks great, like someone previous said not as imposing as thought, but still wonderful. The fact that we get two giant trolls is awesome. And great giant flame pieces! Holy useful! Lots of great other minifigs including the king, and the troll king looks nice. Overall I'm pleased with Castle 09, apart from the disregard of Dwarves, which is frankl criminal. Batbrick Away!
  15. No, he does have printed legs! Gotta say I really like these, I still hope the final figs look a bit more classic, but the return of airtanks and the space dog are great. The second fig I'm sure is also Space Police, as it has the same "base" background and looks to be human. Batbrick Away!
  16. I actually love all the new sets! I completely revoke anything bad I ever said about Power Miners, as they have blown me away and I can't waitto see these. Love the rock King set, a very neatly executed idea. The big saw covered machine looks the best to me, absolutely spectacular! I love the bigger rock monster. The last set I'll admit looks a bit more copled together but since I was wrong about the previous sets (especially the yummy Crystal Reaver) I am not judgng it. Good points is that the orang colour of the big monster is pitchperfect for a Clayface so I'm buying if it comes here, and it does seem to have a lot of neat features like the storage box, rotating drill, crane/monster prison, engine and what looks to be a neat flip up featurethat makes it a cool vertical base. So yeah, loving this! Batbrick Away!
  17. Oh damnit! Not again! Last time it was Bratbick! Oh no I have a new title! The shame! Batbrick Away!
  18. So awesome, can't wait to see further details once Toyfair happens. Batbirck Away!
  19. As always a great new comic KDog, I think I'll have to raise my standards again Love the cameo of Mars Mission, I like how oyu always manage to sneak in a new set every now and then. Also love the Tardis cameo last part. Gotta feel sorry for Shwartz in such an awkward moment there. Is this the end of this storyline or is it going any longer? I've also noticed the hilarity of Shwartz constantly getting his balls bust by Valkyrie, "Oh he's so sure!" Then I'm guessing I'm wrong and the Nebula Outpost will be where Valkyrie gets ambushed by Friendlich. Also one other thing, sorry to correct you but you are missing the "e" in "the" in the tenth panel, Shwart'z dialog. looking forward to the next one! Batbrick Away!
  20. I'm sorry, but the promise of a free make up kit was only the bait to lure you here! Muhahaha! Anyway, hello and welcome back to Interactive Apocalypse! :skull: If you are not familiar with this storyline then hurry up and read the rest before catchup becomes near impossible The Introduction Part 1 - Safe Season Part 1.5 - Strangers Part 2 - Surviving Part 2.5 - The Deadzone Part 3 - Mistakes Part 3.5 - Captured Part 4 - Where Loyalties Lie Part 4.5 - Xenu's Sea Fortress Part 5 - The Battle Part 6 - The Prison Part 7 - The Ambush Part 8 - Sondra's Ship First of all IA followers I' so sorry again for the delay. This time I have an excuse though, seeing as I was away at my shack for two weeks without internet, so I was unable to finish it. Hopefully the next one will be quicker! Last session you decided go along with Sheckles' (the crazy man who was imprisoned with you for high treason against Lord Dragonator) apparent knowledge of something Dragonator is desperately searching for (hence his forces being spread further in recent parts). You decided to take Sondra with you. While this has proven most valuable for you and her their remains the small problem of the treasure lying right in the middle of Swarm territory. You come to a halt at the Great Gate: Created by The Brotherhood before Sondra became their ally and leader (this was following the dissapearance of their original leader many years ago, see previous IA), The Great Gate was constructed to keep the rampaging hordes of The Swarm out of vital land: Spanning many miles (just ignore that this one has "ends" because I couldn't make it endless) the Great Gate still remains unbroken: Though only two at a time, The Brotherhood's gate watchmen ensure the safety of no breaches by targeting and destroying larger threats: Breaches away from the gate are astonomical in chances given that the ridge that forms the wall spirals out from The Deadzone (hellish part of the Earth) which consists of some of the toughest rock known. Still, barbed wire and spikes prevent any slight chances of scaling: And the rear side of the ridge bears a set of spikes too: Another pic. The gate side facing The Swarm is also given as many spiky pints as possible, as some creatures just won't give up: The problem is however, that the map demands you go through the gates, right through Swarm territory: And it's going to be even harder than it looks: And it looks hard. Only a small wall separates you from victory, or death: And it's one Sheckles wants you to cross (love this shot so much): So do you go through it? Now each Crow's nest has a box for weapons close quarters and long, varying in devastation from bullets to grenades. The other crate holds food and water canteens: A lot for Dragonator but also for me (in my case building them though) and everyone else who loves the different critters on IA a few new ones have come: These frightening cyborgs seem to be classed in the intelligent "Mutants" class for now. No one knows where they come from, but they seem to come from the general direction of where the treasure is. They are highly irradiated from prolonged exposure to uranium or other exposed harmful waste. However despite being seen in The Swarm their behaviour is erratic and more territorial, they seem to always return to where they came from, and are sometimes seen even killing Swarm members... Unfourtunately the treasure may very well lie near the heart of wherever parts of The Swarm is spawning from, past the gate. Now these slimy humanoids are in the "Abomination" class as an entirely new species (the four classes are Undead, Mutant, Zombie and Abomination). They are often seen vomiting glowing green substances: The Jumper: These large yellowe frogs or "Jumpers" as they are called are relatively harmless via attack and even edible. Edible that is, is one is able to remove the poisonous glands successfully. No surprise then given the equal "harmless but poisonous" traits, Jumpers are often seen near Weezlets: Tinycrab: The ironically named Tinycrab is a massive eating carnivourous crustacean that is also see in the Deadzone.: These creatures are a number one priority to kill with the Gate watchmen. Out of armoured shell they look like this: Snacking on food: More pics here: Clicky! And finally, in proof that bigger is not always the larger threat, every so often flame throwers must be used to eradicate a rogue line of flesh eating ants, lest they invade: So here are your choices. Go through the gate as soon as the next wave of Swarm is eradicated or dispelled and take your chances getting to the "treasure" quick, or instead go right around the ridge miles away from the gate, far away from The Swarm. One is dangerous but quick, one safe but slow. Your other choice is too call in reinforcements via Sondra. Though feeling much better now she still maintains a cold facade, convinced her men are not needed and a better spent on less trivial tasks. You are not so sure. She wishes to finish this "wild goose chase" as quick as possible so calling in help will take a long time and try her patience with you. So wing it? Or call in the cavalry? Choose wisely but surely, the world is closing in on all sides and sometimes one simple choice may decide the difference between death, life and all in between. Now a couple of dayshots: Can you survive? Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoy it. Like earlier post I'm still focusing on character dynamic but now I'm taking a different approach to it that's a bit more subtle as to not ruin your fun. sorry again for the lateness but know that this is also because I've completed the final thoughts as to the next epic part (the part still changes deciding on what you vote don't worry). You might notice some things very old and new are tying together now, there are several threads that are coming to head here involving the treasure, The Swarm, Dragonator, The Brotherhood and Sheckles among other things. Also, just for fun here is the entire Swarm from the moc: Anyone who can name every monster in the pic first gets to cameo in the next IA chapter! You can find the closeups here: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=362618 And the names are in my folder too. Have fun! Comments appreciated and thanks for looking! Batbrick Away!
  21. That was the best thing I've ever seen, and I've seen Detective comics #850 so that's saying something! The Halo intro was genius, but I think my favourite parts were the Christmas flashback and "Erg haha Want some chicken heha!" Excellent animation btw, as a former creator of Legomations, I know they're really hard sometimes. Batbrick Away!
  22. I agree, an awesome design. Do you mind if I make one for my city? Batbrick Away!
  23. Great idea TheBrickster! I'll reply later with more detail but right now I'm astounded with all these fantastic mocs! Like you I think the Pyramid scene is the best so far, so fantastic! I'll be sure to follow this topic. I also love the inclusions of several sets as well as your Raiders scene. Oh, and come to Australia! We exist you know! Batbrick Away!
  24. For a moment there I had a huge "What the HECK!?!?" moment, butI laughed at the explanation, futuretech comedy is cool. Shwartz is a horrible person Neat, but sorry I probably didn't explain myself before properly, I meant how is it with the camera working in a small set? Batbrick Away!
  25. Thanks for the wonderful review Whitefang! I'll definitely be getting this set, I cannot pass up the temptation of such cool figs. Added to that the equipment and weapons, as well as the fact that I get four of those heads of which I have none currently, and I'm sold! Batbrick Away!
