  1. That is aweosme, such a cute little idea. Love all the details across the walls, and of course the paper airplane and chair look superb. Batbrick Away!
  2. That is unbelievable! The sheer height of it is amazing, and I love all the details. The dungeon and kitchen areas look great as well, and I love all the ladders leading to the top. Magnificent work! Good colour scheme choice as well, I especially like the black skull entrance! Batbrick Away!
  3. Fantastic as always Righteous Squid! Love the proffesor's new car, too bad as always he has the worst of luck! That Penguin Yellow Duck is a thing of sheer genius! I love it so much! No seriously, that thing is so beyond perfect we may have to invent a new word to describe it! Robin's Speedboat is also terrific, though I'm not sure on the glass canopy being filled under, I'd leave space for tools and whatnot. Still great though, I love the way you've balanced out the colours evenly. Can we get a pic of the yellow duck's construction better though please? I'd love to make my own if that is okay with you Batbrick Away!
  4. I hope my semi-campaign sig is okay? I have it there to promote KDog's awesome Space Comic so I'm fairly certain there's not a lot of harm. Batbrick Away!
  5. Neat. Speaking of which, is that DACTA base finished yet? Batbrick Away!
  6. Haha, you really are channeling Legion of Doom here aren't you? Is that the official Alpha Team set or is it a bit different? Gotta feel sorry for Shwartz though, is there a story where he doesn't get played? Batbrick Away!
  7. Thanks for the awesome pic booger! Here are my thoughts: Ambush in Cairo: Wow! This set is far better han I ever imagined! I'll defintely be getting two of these. I haven't got a single turban or a ninja headwrap so this is fantastic for me. This truly is the year of the minifig, Indy's new shirt print is great, as is Marion's new print. Looks like she has a new face too which is wonderful. White clad ninja fig looks great, as does the swordsman who gets shot. The fact that we get three apples and a gold dish only sweetens the deal! And in usual tradition I always remark on how good this stuff can be used for my Batman display. The white ninja torso is perfect for young Bruce Wayne training in Japan, and the turban torso is even more perfect for Kyodai Ken, the ninja who has it in for him in that same episode: Chauchilla Cemetery Battle: Another great set! The red bike will be neat, I have no idea hat is going on with it in that pic though. I must admit the construction looks a little odd here though, but overall looks very good. Loving the skellie fighter fig, hope the other one's face is new. A spider web is always appreciated, as is a gold cup and chest. Nice source of bley for me too, I need a lot if I'm to make some Gotham buildings. Speaking o which, the red bike will definitely become Robin's. Venice Chase: Much better than I anticipated! I'll be honest, I never was looking forward to this set until these awesome pics, now it is a top priority! Four new figs in one set is a total win. I love that it includes a piece of Venice too. The Brotherhood of the Cruciform Sword figs look fantastic, I love that we finally get Fez's! The torsos are sweet too, very accurate, and the faces are awesome too, I especially like the new flesh tone. I'm so glad Indy gets new torsos this year, his looks great and useful. Elsa looks to be a new favourite fig, I love the amount of new hair we are getting and this is no exception. The boats are nifty too. Of course the torsos will most likely go to Gotham gangsters, and i'll ind uses or the heads, fez's and Elsa. For now though this is a top set! Fighter Plane Attack: To me this is the weakest set, and that is saing something good because this is a gd set. The biplane looks spectacular, and while the German fighter has an open cockpit or the large part it too looks good. I'm disappointed in the figs, but atleast I'll get another Henry Jones Snr, since my other one became Jeremiah Arkham. Really, the build is what rules her though, I doubt i'll take that biplane apart for a long ime, if at all, it is so well built. Unlike other sets, Batman really claims nothing from this one, so this stays pur Indy. Temple of Doom: Damn......I am excited. So much good here. Indy ith open shirt is once more appreciated, and another Willie is making my head explode with happiness. and we get the Marion hair in blonde! Squee! And Short round is here, much as I love him I'm not sold on his fig. I'll come around though I reckon. The mine cart track looks awesome, I love that it can bend like that, I'll have a lot of fun with variations. The two thuggee warriors also filly my heart with joy. I love that one has the skull face print while another completes the Pat Roach Indy character collection (I don't count the Blimp henchman since he was cut). And more turbans! Yay! Mola Ram looks great too (btw, how did Indy learn is name? In the movie it is never stated till Indy says it), neat use of those cow horns, that headpiece is spectacular. The rest of everything is also awesome, from the giant flames to the rock container to the brown support beams along with the main structure. I won't even bother naming what will be useful for Batma because there is so much! So yeah, I'm definitely getting all these sets, and an extra Cairo Ambush. This is tied with space Police as a major priority this year! Batbrick Away!
  8. Hey guys, this is my fourth and most successful attempt at building a Spaceship so far. I really find Space the very hardest theme to create, as it doesn't build from the bottom up in most cases, and requires many different techniques. Thus I'm not getting ahead of myself yet. Anyway, without further ado, I give you the Phoenix Fighter: The Phoenix is a legendary fighter said to be modified from outmoded spacecraft by the deadly assassin Azrael. Not much is known about Azrael, only that the killer seems to be pursuing a solo mission: Shot of landing skids down. And now up: That's right, I got a new camera, so now I can do extreme closeups Random neat shot: Top shot, I slightly modelled it after the shape of a Phoenix art on the web: The cockpit. By actually making controls I'm already improving Neat use of the Batman torso and Clone armour though huh? In flight: In flight cockpit shot: Evading the law, as if Clones ever shot well anyway: Swoosh! Coming for you and Now skeedaddling! And Azrael in the flesh: Hope you enjoyed, comments appreciated as always! Batbrick!
  9. Brilliant! Glad to see I wasn't the only one who saw that Mars Mission's - for lack of a better word - plot made no sense. ill still convert an alien to Space Police and vice versa though, I like shades of grey, it's why Star Wars always seemed overrated to me *ducks* Batbrick Away!
  10. , ah the old Dancing Mo Mo Cacti Kittens, I shall never forget. I still have plans to shock everyone with the same premise but really well built. Thanks for bringing back fun memories, Crossdressing Lightning Babe is now a recurring character of mine. It's not easy to forget Extendo Shark Head man. I do agree though, the more cartoony aliens contrast nicely with previous themes, I hope the theme continues. It looks like the Cyclops in the impulse appears in the freighter set, so I might make one of them a space police. Lightning Babe Away!
  11. Thanks, I find it amusing both major enemy planes (the flying wing and german fighter) were both not actually Luftwaffe aircraft. Batbrick Away!
  12. Just for even mentioning the awesomeness that is Cowboy Bebop I award you a free internet. I get your argument too, I would've liked an alien on the Space Police side and vice versa just to mix things up, like a Green Lantern core as you said (another free internet for you!) Batbrick Away!
  13. Because it's NOT a Bf-109. Watch the movie again, the actual plane used was a Pilatus P-2 standing-in for a Luftwaffe fighter. So acutally, apart from the open cockpit, the plane is very accurate. Hey, good idea! I don't want to get that Camper Van but I may well have to now! Also, like others I'm really excited about the equality of figs this year. In Pirates there is the wench and female pirate. In City there is a lot of female citizens. In Castle there is the Queen, Orc Queen and peasant. And of course in Indy there is Marion, Willie and Elsa. Really excitingfor those of us who badly need those figs for our displays. Batbrick Away!
  14. Wait......what? How does new molds for figs constitute for "not being Lego"? Not being rude, just curious. Batbrick Away!
  15. As usual you manage to throw a great curveball at us KDog. Man that was great, Valkyrie sure is cruel sometimes. And of course Shwartz loves it, though I just hope M-1 feeds him, four days is a long time Looking forward to the next one! Batbrick Away!
  16. I can't decide if you're serious or not, but I'll just say you are and agree that it doesn't clash, especially since many other great sets have had this colour scheme. I very much like that set and will most likely get it, plus I need another giant laser after the Inferno one. Batbrick Away!
  17. Loving a lot here. I think the Troll Fortress is going to be better than most people are giving credit for right now. My favourite part about it is that it isn't just a fortress, it has its own unique building aesthetic and design that really stands out as trollish. Just look at this pic: The arch, weed, and diamond window above that really sell the design. I'm glad the King has a new torso, that cape looks neat too. Of course the troll witch is exciting too. I also really want as many of those giant flame pieces as I can get. Drawbridge Defense is looking even better than before. The literall Gold Knight is fantastic, can't wait to get him, the fact that they have a jester is wonderful to me, considering I didn't get the Advent Calender. Love the Queen fig too, as Sandy said, this is a great year for female minifigs which in my opinion is a huge step forward for TLC. The actual design of the Drawbridge is very food, I love the contrasts in construction between the races. Yep, sadly more money out of the pocket for me this year... Batbrick Away!
  18. Love the look of these, but sadly I won't be getting any most likely due to major want of Space Police, the yet-to-be-revealed Agents, and Indy. I must say the Titanium Rig looks much better now though. Told you all Batbrick Away!
  19. Oh my goodness! It is too! You just won an internet good sir Batbrick Away!
  20. Love it! The four armed alien is simply made of win, love the excitement on his...er...face. That spiked helmet in the same pic looks great too. As predicted those skull pilots look fantastic, I love the uniforms on them. Not sold on the orange guy, but then this is an odd angle to see him. Hyperspeed Pursuit looks beautiful, the space Police ship here is wonderfully designed, especially the thrusters on the back. I disagree with people's opinions that the Aliens ships look ugly, that big cargo freighter looks sweet. You can tell the laser goes into the box when it closes, making it look like an ordinary and legal freighter, which in my opinion is very nice. Love the Galactic Enforcer, the best ship we've had in ages from proper space. Hopefully KDog likes it. I'm with Righteous Aquid too, the second I saw those trans blue tanks on the side I said to myself "perfect for Nora Fries". Loving everything here and can't wait to see more! Batbrick Away!
  21. Yay! A proper Fez if my eyes serve me right! Love Elsa's hair too, and her face looks very good too, hopefully it's double sided. I'm superdisappointed that the bike isn't red though, once more my dreams of a bike for Robin are dashed into the mud. I love the colour they've chosen for the Brotherhood of the Cruciform Sword figs, have they used this colour before? Batbrick Away!
  22. I loved the UFO sets as a kid. I only have one, the medium sized saucer, but boy did I love it, I built it in town at a restaurant! I agree it is a great theme, especially the look of that giant saucer. I'm hoping that instead of two factions, this Space Police will have the criminals as a lot of different races, so we could have Retro Space car, and UFOs and whatnot. An intergalactic police routine if you will. This is a good point actually, I'm betting the impulses are prelim though, the Police uniform doesn't look quite right, I think it is Zam Wessel's (or whatever that purple starwars prequel chick's ma,e was, I never liked the prequels) torso. Then what are you doing? Hurry up and buy them! Batbrick Away!
  23. Oh dear, there's always something. I'm betting Walker comes down to visit and gets a shock Batbrick Away!
  24. ... I love you. Anyway! This was hilarious! I really didn't see that coming (poor Walker better not come down for a visit), the *grab* "Oomph!" was really typical of Valkyrie too, but the real gem was the final panel too, Shwartz is happy Batbrick Away!
  25. You had me going for a second there! I think people should just settle down and not judge the entire theme based on a few rather blurry pics not detailing the entire set. The fact that these are prelims is an even bigger reason to not judge. Seriously, it was bad enough when we had thousands of kids screaming "This is teh crap1!" in last years Agents prelim photos, and for the most part they turned out great. So did the 08 castle sets. So did the Power Miners. And here we don't even have an ounce of knowledge we had with those sets, we only have a shot of one of the major sets and not a particularly good one. I'd say that's a fairly weak reason to start claiming "none of this takes place in space" or "no coloured windshields on all sets". For now, just be excited we have a new space theme, and get ready to be pleasantly surprised at Toyfair, because we always are. Batbrick Away!
