  1. I can't remember if I've posted this or not, but I'm leaning towards not. I have decided that the big Hogwarts set will be mine. There just is no way on Earth I can let up so much wonderful wonderful beautiful tan pieces, and those lime bits will work great for a Gotham Cathedral. There are so many useful bits and pieces, and the abundance of fantastic fleshie figs and cool suit torsos will be integral for my Gotham mocs. Hopefully I can get it on sale, but either way it WILL be mine! Batbrick Away!
  2. This theme is shaping up greatly, I love the new fig designs and shiny dark bley helmets. Still, due to budget constraints and really not seeing a lot of useful pieces for my own projects it seems I'll only be getting the impulses this year. That said, I'm glad so many Castle fans are happy and wish you the best of luck with a continued wave! Batbrick Away!
  3. Yeah, sorta like how they didn't make the Ark of the Covenant for the same reason. Oh wait... Thanks for sharing the tank pic, looks fantastic and just like a real set in many ways. One can always imagine I guess Batbrick Away!
  4. Wonderful bank Righteous Squid! I'm so happy to see you finally post it! I'm so jealous of the ideas here it almost makes me want to tear my own bank down and copy yours! I'll go a bit more in depth soon as I'm in a hurry, but this is superb and excellent choice with Two-Face there, best Batman villain. And I gotta love the re-emergence of the wig! Batbrick Away!
  5. I've already posted my entry, but I just want to say that is one awesome sigfig Oreo! Batbrick Away!
  6. Noticed your reply in the "Buy" thread tiger, thought I'd come look, and I don't regret. Almost makes me sad for tearing this apart, I especially love the way you've done the lights, and the easy-to-reach harpoon gun is a great touch. Batbrick Away!
  7. Finally...Date Night....its like everything around me just became better Batbrick Away!
  8. Yeah, that was my entry as well The character is a recurring one of mine who originate from my mindscrew-ish entry in the original BlockBlock contest. It's about the fifth entry down with the popcorn exploding butt girl and the extendo-shark head janitor http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?...;hl=block+block Batbrick Crossdresser Away!
  9. Yeah, but how is that unrealistic? My point was that you could've had him in the whole getup and it wouldn't have been any less realistic. He even got a cool dirty straight jacket in the finale. Batbrick Away!
  10. Now I give you my Block Block inspired creation! With the help of the Evil Penguin Overlord Face Guy, I will whack my nemesis with the Crossdressing Lightning Babe! iamded stands on the X while distracted by the cutest of God's creatures; A kitten! Meanwhile I hold the rope that will lead to his DOOM! Evil Penguin Overlord Face Guy overseers the EVIL operation! The Crossdressing Lightning Babe is too busy being spaced out and Block Blocky to do anything! Oh no! Nothing can stop the whacking by Crossdressing Lightning Babe! :skull: Babe Away!
  11. Thanks, it's going to be a Block Block creation so it'll be...odd Love yours by the by, it's fantastic! EDIT: It's up! Batbrick Away!
  12. Sorry good friend, but that quote has since been debunked, as it was said way before writing even begun on the third and those two choices were merely the fan suggested ones from back in the pre-TDK days. I know this isn't directed at me, but Scarecrow has ALWAYS been a rather realistic villain. How he was portrayed in Batman Begins is pretty much how he's always been portrayed. I see what you mean, but I didn't mean in financial terms but in how good of a film it was. Sure, Ledger did bring the film up as well, but it was already set to earn more than Begins since the first film had since gained a large medium of awareness. Like you say though, it wouldn't have earned as much without Ledger. I maintain personally that Aaron Eckhart as Harvey Dent was the better performance though. I guess you could go with that if you wanted to burn, destroy and ruin one of the greatest comic characters in history Or she could be the independent and antiheroic cat burglar she's always been. I'd be interested in knowing what you think Catwoman's "theme" is. I think you should check up better on the source material, Mr Freeze has been one of the most tragic, 3d and moving villains since 1992. Actually Gordon did have a daughter in TDK, she can be seen scared of Two-Face in the finale. Also it was only in The Batman show that Poison Ivy had any connection with her. No, they don't. While they do have extra footage of him there is no way that would work, unless it was only for a very, very brief moment, and even then it would be controversial and probably not allowed. Batbrick Away!
  13. Thanks No probs, I felt stupid for not having shot in the first place Agreed, and I do plan to eventually add another, smaller floor as a penthouse suite for Penguin. I'm looking up gargoyle designs on brickshelf for inspiration. Thanks for the suggestions too, though I can't use the Fenris wolf head and I want them to be dark grey anyway. Still, as you command, I've shown off some of the aspects of my bank below with shots of how I can turn it into a three story facade Thanks, though I think instead I won't add another thread until I fully build another floor. Wayne Manor may be a while off too, so look out for Gotham Park with Poison Ivy soon! Thanks a heap for commenting Whitefang, much appreciated! I too prefer my interior due to my lack of parts for the outside and my lack of architecture building skills, which is why I try to cram as many details as possible to make up for it. Three story facade version that everyone wanted to see! Third wall taken from the side. Batbrick Away!
  14. My good friend iamded has allowed me to use his sigfig in the Whack-A-Fig contest, and I for his should he make one Batbrick Away!
  15. Bought the smallest Atlantis set that comes with the eyepatch diver and the Sharkman. I can't recall the sets' name, but it is a wonderful little set with fantastic figs and some great parts, my favourites being the 3 long doubly inverted slope piece and the 3 long tile. Shark is being added to my Batman collection right now as one third of the Terrible Trio. Don't know how I'll do Fox and Vulture though. Batbrick Away!
  16. Ah, thanks, I thought that's where you were going, but was afraid it was gonna be the "It's disrespectful to finish the franchise" reason that I hate. I wouldn't trust these sources, the script isn't even finished, let alone casting beginning. You don't know what I mean by sausage fest do you? I mean there aren't enough female characters, and the ones you've listed are...male Besides, Black Mask and Hush are awful characters, Deadshot is an antihero not a villain, and not even Batman related much anymore, to do Mad Hatter justice you'd need the mind technology which is too far out with these more grounded films. Hugo would be great though, but I want Riddler and Catwoman and the mob, maybe with the Penguin as the mob leader. Batbrick Away!
  17. Darn, I forgot to make a thread for this. No, don't worry, its jut the working title The guy on the right is Christopher Nolan, and one of the first things confirmed is that Mr Freeze WON'T be in the film. Sorry, but I don't think he'd fit as well. Actually development for this has been happening for a while, we got confirmation it was being made about a month and a half back and that the first draft of the script had been made about a month back, so I certainly disagree that they're out of ideas. Also it was David Goyer who came up with the ideas for Superman and Nolan thought they were good, and so decided to "Godfather" the films, meaning he's not even directing the Superman films at all, just producing, which means he'll have plenty of time to focus on Batman. Why would the passing of Heath Ledger affect the film though? And I thought Spidey 3 was indeed a bad film unlike the first two. I think there are more villains to do realistically but Riddler and Penguin are the best ones. That said, I don't want this to be a sausage fest like the latter half of TDK, I say bring on Catwoman, that would be great. Batbrick Away!
  18. Fantastic creation TheBrickster, I can't believe I missed this for so long! This looks much better than your original, which looked good already, I love the larger size and added details. The bell especially looks great. The addition of the cacti, stained glass window, lock on the door and other such features really make the whole thing. A wonderful interior too, I love the way you've arranged the pews and front. I think there is a little too much yellow there though. The entrance to the upper level is really worked in well to without altering the design of the building too much, and the various jars and glasses ad nice details. Fantastic stuff! Batbrick Away!
  19. Ah...embarrassment....scroll function failing... Sorry NewRight, credit where credit due! Batbrick Away!
  20. Yay I was hoping this thread might be revived! I think Season 2 is very quickly outdoing Season 1, which itself was oneo f the best cartoon debuts I know of. Even BTAS had more stinkers earlier on than this show. What!? This was a great episode! I think you've missed that this was a joke episode reminiscent of Animaniacs, the villain was deliberately lame, I mean, did you see his origin story? I had to pause the video I was laughing so hard at him randomly standing in a bucket of water in the middle of a lightning experiment! This was indeed a great episode. I agree the Lantern Corps gets defeated too eaisly in this show, but this was the one ep where it was justified, in the comics the Reach has technology that cannot totally subvert the Lantern stuff. This was also great I agree, Joker's running commentary was a riot. The One Punch! reprise also got me. Your review doesn't count because oyu're too steeped in bias But seriously this was one of the best eps of the whole show to me, they even included a joke about Pluto no longer being a planet, and Aquaman is always welcome, he's great. This was on a par with the TNBA Penguin for me, such a great 50's rendition of the character, I loved his obsession with umbrellas. This was indeed a great episode, and a Nazi villain too! The onscreen death shocked me quite a bit too, this series has racked up a much bigger body count than BTAS, but this was actually shown onscreen. You can also notice a BTAS poster on the wall of the museum in the first half I agree with oyu here, this one was quite average. I love the Metal Men, but this wasn't nearly as fun and out there as it should have been. Helium Bats made me chuckle though just for the thought of the world's most renowned dark hero with a squeaky voice. Yeah, Riddler was great, and stoner Batman was a riot. He does make sense though, since he's basically what Batman would be without angst or smarts; a care free playboy. You combine Science!Batman and Stoner!Batman and you get a well educated playboy, and add Angry!Batman and you get the motivation to be serious and be Batman! Also: Batman does not eat NACHOS! Yeah I loved this one, Ras was great and this Talia was much better than the BTAS one, so kickass. Actually, the BTAS version gets quite a bit of flak from Batman fans for being too over the top and requiring Bruce to go way too far as Batman. In the comics its generally halfway between this nad the BTAS version, he becomes Nightwing because of various serious things and stresses, but not to the point where he punches his friends and mentors. I've seen the Shazam episode already and its fantastic. You're forgetting one thing though, that the Brain will have Monsieur Mallah this time around. He is gay and french in the comics though, that's part of his charm. Also this version is less useless than the Teen Titans one, which couldn't move at all, this Brain has robotic arms with weapons. Yeah, Starro is being built up as the season baddie, looking forward to seeing the actual Star conqueror animated! Batbrick Away!
  21. it's a shame at the lack of replies to this! This is gorgeous work MacK, everything I wish I could do with my mocs and more! I love the icebergs and cold, wintery feel, you've really made an awesome atmosphere here! The ambiguity of this moc is great too, I love how little is explained, very intriguing and even spooky, especially with those ominous black tentacles.... Look forward to seeing more from you! Batbrick Away!
  22. It may not be date night, but this was one of my favourite comics of recent times KDog, a big hats off to you. Many fantastic gags in this, from the hilarious soap opera feel to the "stately manor" Adam West style into. The first syntax error got me too, as did the Veggie Tales reference, I used to love those when I was younger. I also love the warm feeling of this. Not being too well recently it cheered me so thanks, I love that Shwart'z robots get along with him fine. I laso know the pain of having a fussy but marvellous cat. By the by, is that "mini picture of character in speech bubble when off screen" thing new ot this comic? I don't remember seeing it before but it really works! Batbrick Away!
  23. Batbrick

    Tank

Neat! I love how you've done the turret, this thing is a beast! I think the front middle section is a little busy however, as are the different colours, I think a more uniform look would greatly improve it. Still an awesomely destructive looking creation Batbrick Away!
  24. Thanks for the wonderful review Whitefang, you always sum up how I feel about a set so eloquently. I agree this is a pretty sub-par impulse set, though I'll likely still get it since I want that fig without shelling out much money, and I have not much use for any other Atlantis sets. Though the trident is very cool. Batbrick Away!
  25. That is beautiful, I'm at a loss for words to describe it. The trans blue looks really good too and the pattern is amazing! Batbrick Away!
