Doctor Who, Torchwood, Sarah Jane Adventures...
Batbrick replied to The Kid's topic in Culture & Multimedia
I do admit I did this, and then proceeded to go "..." when the next ep rolled by and they got two seconds of screentime, a plan that quite literally made NO DAMN FREAKIN' SENSE ARGLE BARBLE! RAARGH!!! And then they disappeared in a wave of angst. The most hilarious thing is it only makes sense as a "cool shot". here's the story of the Doctor's death, he's desperately trying to avoid it, and he comes across his greatest single enemy who's strung up because he's been abusing cheap Skeletor effects and laser beams, so what odes he do? He calmly walks toward him while getting fired at, despite the fact he has no idea whether he'll get hit, which in fact could be his prophesied death. Especially seeing as the Master knocked four times earlier. I thought part 2 was worse, mostly for the final step with the reintroduction of the Time Lords. The Doctor wields a gun in a plan that makes no damn sense, Rassilon wields a death glove in a plan that makes less sense, and them and the Master engage in a showdown that....wait for it....MAKES NO SENSE! It's like all the characters mistook the contents of the medicine cabinet for their breakfastm lunch and tea! I'm so angry! Oh, and Donna suddenly now can remember things, it just knocks everyone out in the immediate vicinity. This is seen as a good thing, despite the fact that by the next alien invasion, which in the Whoniverse is on Tuesdays, her head will explode all over again, in a car with her mum driving, and everyone will fall off a cliff to their swift deaths...twice. Is this the same conversation where straight in front of Jack, Martha tells the Doctor to "remember what the Face of Boe said!" and Jack doesn't even bat an eye? That plothole is probably behind this season's 'cracks in time' arc. I'm not saying TLOTTL is worse, I'm saying it was still entertaining, while The End of Time is a putrid abomination of hackneyed writing that is filled with a thousand holes, the screenwriting of which barely passes as toilet paper let alone a Doctor Who finale, and when watching feels like being mounted by a whole family of horny Godzillas for three weeks straight. I just love the epic, dramatic music used during this scene. It's just screaming at me; "THIS IS THE WORST THING EVER UNLEASHED UPON HUMANITY!" and I'm like "YES IT IS! Just not in the way you think." I had tears laughing at this. "The laws of the bedroom belong to me!" "Off with his head!" I quite enjoyed the episode, but am very afraid that the next will have the most repetitive plots of NewWho, and the ones I loathe the most: 1) Silurians do not back off 2) Extermination of their entire species 3) Something bad happens to the secondary human characters 4) They hate the Doctor for it, and he walks off sadfaced. This being Chris "Kill 'em all and add in a Sex Monster!" Chibnall, I won't get my hopes up. Also the new look Silurians are rubbish, what's the point of reintroducing a classic Doctor foe if their just gonna be like Star trek rubber forehead aliens. Almost as disappointing as the cybermen return. That said, I quite liked the episode, and if the next one pays off I'll be grinning like a Smiler. That's weird because I thought it was some of his weakest writing. It was like this to me: Doctor: I'm dying soon. Wilfred: So am I. Doctor: Sure I'll regenerate and keep going... Wilfred: You do realise I'm like 90 right? Doctor: ...And keep having sexy adventures in time and space... Wilfred: Seriously, I could drop dead at any second. Doctor: ...But it won't be the same, I'll have a different personality... Wilfred: I'll be just dead. Doctor: ...and this one will be gone... Wilfred: I'm not kidding. While you were talking I just lost the use of my left leg! Doctor: ...I'm only 903! Wilfred: *croaks* I think some of them are still having trouble adjusting to Eleven. The ending of Vampires in Venice with the race genocide, as well as the potential ending to this one are more Ten-like in their angst and despair. Batbrick Away! -

Thankyou SO much for that Lord Arjay, I cracked up laughing. I'll give it to The Last of the Timelords for the sheer woobyising (Tv Tropes: A character that the audience feels utmost sympathy for) that continued into The End of Time, retconning his entire past so that he was ANOTHER FREAKING CHARACTER, he should of just been a parellel evil Doctor or something. That said, Journey's End is tough competition: Last time on Doctor Who: I'm regenerating! Audience: *Look of shock* Doctor: Oh look a hand, I'll shoot all my regeneration energy into that, after I've healed myself, isn't that neat? Audience: But Doctor, that contradicts everything we've seen or been told about regeneration before. Doctor: Oh, **** you! Daleks: YOU WILL BE EXTERMINATED! *blow up* Mickey: I'm here to save the day! Jackie: I'm here because RTD thought it was a neat idea! Cut me out of the plot and nothing changes! Mickey: Yeah why didn't Torchwood send Pete, or one of the other specialised men? Or all of them? Jackie: ....I'm here because RTD thought it was a neat idea! Mickey: *sarcasm on* I can tell you're gonna be great company. Doctor2 (heh, rhymes): That Dalek Fleet has enough power to still wipe out the cosmos! Time to end them permanently!" Daleks: HECK, EVEN WE'RE WITH YOU ON THAT ONE! *continues spinning then blows up* Doctor: What have you done? They were poor innocent creatures with a love of life! You have committed genocide! Something I've never done before! The previous race of Daleks, the Timelords, Racnoss and Cybermen don't count! And I certainly will not be killing the Timelords again next year! Doctor2: I guess that's right....wait a moment - Doctor: You punishment is banishment to the alternate Earth! Doctor2: That doesn't sound so bad. Doctor: As Rose's sex toy! Doctor2: FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU- Doctor: Let's tow the Earth! *MUUUUUURAAAAY GOOOOOOOOOOLD* (for the record I actualy love his music, but this part was such a blatant "and now it's time to be inspired" moment) *Torchwood and everyone else on Earth experiences very troubling shifting, smashing everything in houses and killing many* Newsreporter: The numbers are still coming in, but approximately 13,000 people are expected to have died last night due to the tremors, the numbers are still climbing... Wilfred: Bet you regret that ay Doctor? Doctor: Still none of these two episodes have a patch on End of Time. I can still enjoy TLOTTL and Journey's End, they still have some great bits in them like Julian Bleach and Master actually taking over the world. End of Time on the other hand....urrgh. I'm not even sure I can joke about it. Batbrick Away! -

That both realities were dreams akaLotus Eating Machines? Yep, I've seen too many Twilight Zone and Outer Limits episodes to be fooled by that ploy. But it did fool me for a second when I faltered on whether the Cold Star reality really was real. Bloody Fantastic. Despite the fact that I predicted it it was still highly enjoyable. I'm so glad Amy and Rory are going to be together still, I couldn't stand it if she kept going for the Doctor. Speaking of Rory I'm really enjoying as a character, and its awesome to finally, finally have more than one companion on the TARDIS again, hope he sticks around for quite a while. Plus the additional mystery of who the Dream Lord was made up for how I predicted the other one, and it was a very good satisfactory answer. In fact, the episode becomes even more brilliant on second viewing when the significance of the Doctor and Dreamlord's interactions are much more apparent. Also, I adore surrealistic horror or just surreal stories and atmosphere, one of the reasons I love the Library two-parter, and this had it in spades. Seeing more of the TARDIS was awesome, and the cold thing was great, fantastic imagery. The offputting nature of evil geriatrics and the violence to them was equally hilarious and unsettling. And Toby Jones' performance I was really looking forward to as entertaining, but he delivered much more on a different level, he was a very creepy villain here, one of the best in NewWho I'd even say. That said, the revelation of there not being a real, physical villain ups my respect for the story too, I love it when Who can be creepy and exciting without always having an evil alien monster. Shrimp curried tacos aren't recommended You're horribly extended feces rant from Shwartz crossed the line so many times it was hilarious, the "You are troubled..." was a perfect deadpan. Also, feeling ones stomach dropping into your pants can't feel good. And I'm in agreement with Shwartz, his instincts suck ;D The circular path Shwartz took was a funny reveal too. You've definitely got a good Hitchhiker's vibe here, the martians growing fond of the cart especially. Barfing in the helmet; a comic callback to the first scene of Galanos and Shwartz together? And of course Shwartz would choose the UV-9 siply because it looked cool and would get him laid 34: 28 - "Ironically, he had ended up with the fashtest ship in the fleet" you adopted a bit of a Brooklyn accent there! I honestly loled at the women joke, probably my favourite one yet at the point of typing this". And the cart's nostalgia returns! The destruction of innocence caused by naked fanart cartoon characters is certainly something I can see Shwartz doing. I don't care how stupid Shwartz can sometimes be, whenever something disgusting is in front of me, I'll think of kittens too! And you officially win the awards for most disgusting, and repeated describing of human feces of the year! So sorry it took me so long to listen to the second half KDog. I'd say I was busy, but honestly I'd completely forgotten for a bit, and then it just became embarrassing. The second half was just as enjoyable as the first, perhaps even more so. Now, I don't like to sugarcoat everything, so I'll list my criticisms. When reading a long sentence you often sound as if running out of breath by the end, which is more than likely. Also, some of the accents would occasionally falter, and the audiobook probably sounds a little too manner of fact for some of the content, which makes it a little jarring when your voice changes to a more excited tone. A slightly more casual voiceover (that is, still matter-of-fact, just not so overtly) might sound better. Also, I think the description of the UV-9 went a bit long. My problem isn't really the length however, just that it was all in one chunk, I think a description sprinkled over such as when the ship is referred to during the search could make it more natural. Now that sounds like a lot, but I am being honest when I say it was really enjoyable, witty and certainly a fantastic job for your first audiobook. And you definitely pin down how Shwartz speaks as well. I hope you make another one. The second half was even funnier, I enjoyed the juxtaposition between slightly more high brow humour and references and beyond the impossible feces descriptions. Anyway, my usually late reviews. I read these a while ago, but I was too embarrassed by how long it took to finish the audio I didn't dare enter this thread How to Succeed in the Hamburger Business Without Really Trying Part 1: She-Hulk wins, Wonder Woman is hot but she can't beat the Hulk's cousin. But Wonder Woman and She Hulk is actually an awesome, awesome idea. As is Captain South America, I would buy the hell out of that series! I see that your statement about Ronald not returning in a while was entirely false :p But I'll let is slide, because though I thought I was going to be "Ronalded Out" this was great. How to Succeed in the Hamburger Business Without Really Trying Part 2: Ronald's idea is hilariously fitting for his character. Not as good as part 1, and I noticed a big lighting change in the last panel, but still good and I'm hoping this story will be a part of the larger arc, as I'm wondering if Ronald's playing a part in it... This is not the greatest construction ever. This is not even the greatest Lego construction ever. It is the best thing ever, and will forever continue to be so. This is marvelous mahjja (Can't say the same for your username sorry ) and I can't even begin to even start to even conceive imagining the amount of work that went into designing. Put me down as a fan, and as a massive Thunderbirds fan, you're choice of music makes the whole thing even better! To the Brickmobile! -

I understand what you mean, and certainly agree, I even said in this thread the man would deserve his own church dedicated to him if he wasn't atheist. And he has a grasp on pacing much better than almost any writer I can think of barring the disjointed End of Time. He just has major flaws in his writing that became more obvious the more he wrote because they kept repeating, much in the same way anyone can predict the plucky side character will die in a Joss Whedon flick at this point. See this was my problem with this scene, he probably got around an hour so, probably even more to look up on all his companions, waiting for Rose, tracking Martha and Mickey, buying a ticket to celebrate Donna's wedding etcetera. The whole way through the story he'd been angsting over regenerating, and then he has this much time and doesn't even think to heal himself. He's got a load of time to go to any point in space and time, any piece of technology to flush that pesky radiation out and he doesn't even try. Struck me as really odd. Anyway, quite enjoyed Vampires in Venice, though there were some plot elements that were a little holey. I love that so far this season though even the weaker episodes are still really fun and have a great creepy undertone. Rory was fantastic too, I hope he sticks around for the rest of the season. Next week's looks flippin' great though, I have a pet theory on what will happen that I refuse to share. Time Lord Batbrick Away! -

Trust me, I would never joke about one of best crafted pieces of fiction to ever grave paper or screen. I'd say give watching a shot, not sure its for you though Oky, as its a rather slow moving and introspective analysis of psychological themes, and as a watching experience certainly leaves one utterly exhausted, especially in the questions it poses and ambiguity. Oh, and there's a reason he looks bored And a nice little Monster quote to end on: Look at me! Look at me! The Monster inside of me has grown so big! EDIT: But don't watch the english dub, its pretty terrible and Johan's/The Nameless Monster's voice actor completely missed the point of the utterly serene and calm voice of the Japanses dub. -Batbrick -
"Shwartz stood out like a hot chick at a comic convention" "Maybe he had turned left at generic rock field #475 when should should have gone through that chasm that looks just like that other chasm #61"" "An altogether meaningless measurement..." The breakdancing order still makes me laugh. "Before his on-demand rental fee was wasted! WASTED!" "I-Martian" And the fecal bag just crossed the line twice into hilarity. I'll probably watch the second half tomorrow. Batbrick Away!

I don't know, it could have been quite funny: "Shwartz stood defiantly atop the ruins, thinking back to his only moment of - Oh crap! The studs came loose! Give me a sec...." Well I'm taking a bit longer than I thought sorry, but it's finally downloading as I post. Actually, as I type this second sentence its finished. I'll listen to it soon, but Doctor Who is first; priorities I'm sure you understand Ooh, you're in for a treat with the next two-parter then! Agreed on the Tennant silliness too, I love that "Dark Fairytale" style the show is going for, both scary and sweet. -Thomas

Oh my goodness.....that is one of the greatest spaceships I've ever seen in Lego Dr. S. Just marvelous. The enormous scale is simply something to behold, but on another level the massive level of detail lets it hold up very, very well to close scrutiny. The hangar is brilliant, that's so amazing that it can fit all those smaller craft inside it. The rails used to position them (and of course for launching) is very clever, and the lights are great. The Mayfly design is brilliant, I really hope you don't mind if I refer to these designs when thinking of how to build my own spaceships, this achieves an excellent blend of both smooth and having rough edges and greebles. How it attaches to the top of the Europa is almost too smart The smaller Gnat fighters are very good too. Not as good as the Mayfly, but I love that all the mini-ships have inside details and working cockpit windows. The turrets are quite neat, I like the design but feel that the grey cord seems too fragile. The inside is really surprising. It's not really up to the level of the exterior, but still great and I respect that you went all the way in constructing it. It's a little basic, but the fact that you put in working doors, control areas and bedding really shows class. Thanks a heap for sharing! Batbrick Away!

This is a brilliant looking set, I'm very tempted to get this, though likely I won't (I know, I may as well be called the King-of-not-Buying it or something) but it's awesome that TLC is revisiting the present-day space design. Those trans-gold cheese sloped make my mouth water Batbrick Away!

Woah, that's pretty damn awful. I've no problem with Daleks having some "War Council" though, I like that their hierarchy often changes. But thme allied wit the Time Lords would make no damn sense That's really strange because even though 9 is one of my favourite Doctors and was written much more consistently, I felt he got put in a few poor episodes, such as Aliens of London/World War III, The Long Game, Boomtown, but mostly just that thei weren't that many big standouts like in later seasons. Agreed, the man writes one of my favuorite tropes ever: Earn Your Happy Ending, where as much struggle and pain that happened in the episode, the heroes still manage to win out at the end. Probably why I hate the RTD finales so much, the last four of them were all "We won! Hooray - Oh, bad stuff out of nowhere, now I'm depressed". I'll add this to my list of terriblenessnessness, mostly because it had almost no reason for existing. And I called Kylie's death minutes after her appearance knowing who wrote it. It's like seeing a really happy and chirpy character in a Joss Whedon show and just knowing they'll bite it soon. I'm of the mind that the Weeping Angels should definitely become the newest major recurring villains, joining the ranks of the Daleks, Cybermen, Sontarans, Silurians, The Master, Autons and Ice Warriors. There is simpyl so much that can be done with them. I'd love to see a finale based around a single Weeping Angel invading Earth simply through being captured on footage the world over, and the Doctor and co have to activate an EMP device or something while an army of not-quite-there Weeping Angels all from the single one's consciousness materialise everywhere. She was a great distraction yes. Now my favuorites: Dalek: A bit overpowered, but ultimately the best tale featuring the most famous villains return. My favourite part is just how it utterly deconstructs the Daleks psyche and shows us that while their creation is evil, they aren't, because they literally have no choice in what they do, no possible potential for good. They simply kill because they are programmed to believe what they are doing is right, and the existence of other beings is wrong. One of my favourite parts of the new series is showing the potential for Daleks that are altered to be good, such as this one, Dalek Sec and Dalek Caan. I'm still holding out for a Dalek to be a companion for a few episodes one day. The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances: Great entrance for Jack, and a very creepy monster in the zombie child. Ultiamtely becomes the most heartwarming episodes. Oh, and the banana is great. School Reunion: Sarah Jane! A very fun Principal villain, and I love that the villains actually are very respectful of the Doctor's superiority and ask him to be their leader. K-9 is back and fun. That's what the episode is really, fun, and also explores the old "missing companion" questions in a moving way. The Girl in the Fireplace:Great to finally get some time travel related stuff in Doctor Who that goes beyond "plot device to get to location". It helps that the story is so moving and that Mickey finally gets a character upgrade. The Impossible Planet/The Satan Pit: This two-parter is on a level with Moffat's best and scariest in my opinion. It also represents something that is sorely lacking from the new series; things in the universe that the Doctor doesn't know about. The Doctor is just as scared as everyone else here and so are we. The Ood are some of the best new alien species in Who and I hope that we see them again. Satan himself is brilliant too and honselty one of the best versions in fiction I've seen. The idea of him being like Pandora's box, already everywhere in the world but about to be unleashed more powerfully was great, but even better the concept of him as an idea that becomes stronger the more you believe in it was simply chilling. Human Nature/Family of Blood: Excellent exploration of the Doctor's character without being too mopey. This two-parter really shows off Tennant's acting and the guy playing "Son-of-Mine" is downright creepy. Blink: I won't even bother explaining why this one is so great, I'll simply say; everything about it. Utopia: Almost too good, it made the final episode downright disappointing. Derek Jacobi is masterful (eh? eh? ) and the YANA revelation is great. Too bad Jack hears "The Face of Boe" comment here and doesn't even flinch. Time Crash: Peter Davison and Tennant interacting is hilarious and heartwarming, and I cracked up at "The size of...Belgium? That's a little anticlimactic!" "Belgium in thirty seconds!" And...can't be bothered writing any more, I'll finish my list another time. Batbrick Away! -

Batbrick replied to The Kid's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Really? Well the episodes were still pretty rubbish and sensationalised anyway. But the farting was a grievous offense. It's still Deus Ex Machina. Just because you mention God exists in Act 2 doesn't mean that when he swoops in and saves the protagonists in the climax it isn't Deus Ex Machina. Even worse in fact, the TARDIS Time Vortex was only given one ability (which was a deus ex machina in THAT episode) which was granting your deep desire, the Doctor even says to Rose "You didn't stare into the heart of the TARDIS that was the Time Vortex!" or something. Which means never before mentioned ability suddenly happens. As well as never again mentioned, which makes it really awkward in Journey's End when you start wondering if all of all creation is at stake why don't they try the same trick again. I'll give you Doomsday though, but I'm still angry about it because it was basically 40 minutes of taking the Cybermen and trying to make them the most worthless foe of all time. Take the Daleks out of the plot and almost nothing changes, and the Cybermen come across as supremely badass. We also don't have to have the Pepperpots as the main villains in three out of four series. Oh grief, really? Could you please elaborate on that if you can remember? That's another point I wanted to make, Davies incredibly creepy assumption that as long as there's an alternate counterpart of your unavailable spouse that's somewhat similar, it's okay to treat them as the same person. First Martha to alternate rich Peter, then DonnaDoctor to Rose, who would therefore have a different personality. I didn't, but I'll admit I really liked the episode, it began the awesome of Donna, who because she brought some fun and lightheartedness to Doctor Who, which is a family show, just had to be mindraped and get sent back to anonymity by the Doctor by the end. Ah, I feel unclean for forgetting about him. He was very cool, as was John Simm. I still think the new Master post-Jacobi is trying too hard to be "modern" and has had his character retconned beyond belief, but John Simm takes some of the pain away. Actually I'll add the new Master to my list of terriblenessnessness. Not so much the personality, just the absolutely diabolical retconning done to him with the drumming, childhood friendship, backstory, Teletubbies, laser firing, people eating, Skeletor looking and general sexual tension with the Doctor. I have no doubt he's a great writer, just certainly not fit for sci-fi. I read an excerpt someone posted on a forum where he writes about people criticising him for deus ex machinas and etcetera and how he feels it's a good thing to break such story conventions for Doctor Who. I'd agree with him, if he didn't just do the same damn thing every time. He's very Joss Whedon in that way, trying so hard to be different he creates his own even less tolerable cliches. But like I said, I have no doubt out of sci-fi he is a great writer, and all the interviews I've seen of him he seems very nice. You are all terrible people for naming this episode as the worst! Terrible! You should all be ashamed of yourselves! I think maybe its because it was one of the first new episodes I saw of the new series, but I have a real sense of nostalgia for that one. Plus "BURN WITH ME" was creepy, especially with Tennant. I'll add Aliens of London, World War III, The Long Game (Not even Simon Pegg and Tamsin Grieg could redeem it), Boom Town, New Earth, The Idiot's Lantern, Love and Monsters (And it had SO much potential!), Fear Her, The Penis Headed Dalek Two-Parter (Though it was quite a turn on.... ), The Lazarus Experiment (NOTHING WORKS THAT WAY! Though it does get some good points for not having an alien in it, I'd love to see another ep with weird human stuff), The Last of the Time Lords, The Doctor's Daughter (Another ham-handed anti-gun message? Really?), Journey's End (AKA In which the Titular Hero Does Nothing and then Lambastes those who do) and.........*breathes in* The End of Time, which unlike previous finales which were atleast fun and had great cool and fun factors on their sides, was depressing throughout and one of the single worst pieces of television writing I've ever seen. When we're done with these, let's discuss the absolute favourites Batbrick Away! -
Very much looking forward to this. The first one was one of the best games made, here's hoping this one's even better, espeically considering my favourite villain Two-Face is in it. And the lovely Stana Katic as Talia? As a fan of Castle this game just got a lot sexier! Batbrick Away!

Thank you SO much for this, I laughed so hard when I read it. And it's so true, the saddest part is the interviews with RTD where he talks about how good the arc is that season and I'm screaming at the screen "It's not an arc if all you're doing is words! Arrgh!" The worst part was she was quite a good companion in season 1, and then in season 2 they couldn't stop making herl augh and make jokes every time someone died, every. freakin. episode. The most hilarious part was how the Torchwood arc word had hardly anything to do with the finale anyway. Everyone was gearing up for Earth tech versus the Doctor ala the Cadmus arc in JLu, but then they get killed in about two seconds. Eh, I wish I could be that restrained. Don't get me wrong, Midnight was awesome and RTD deserves to be worshiped in his own temple for bringing back Doctor Who, but I find his great writing talents just disappear when writing sci-fi. I mean, farting aliens? A deus ex machina ending for every finale? Totally hypocritical Doctor? Daleks in three out of four finales? Paving slab blowjobs? The Doctor doing nothing at all in Journey's End (seriously, just watch it, he does practically nothing at all, so much so it doubles back onto hilarious)? Suddenly depressed Doctor from the beginning of Season 3 onwards? Total inability to write any finale at all without there being literally millions of enemies? Walking fat? Total extermination of Donna's character? Jesus paralells for the Doctor every damn episode? "Arcs" that make no sense and merely consist of repeated phrases with all the subtlety of an icepick repeatedly lodged in your face? EVERY SINGLE PART OF THE END OF TIME???? Yeah, I find holes in his writing. That said, the very reemergence of Doctor Who is enough to not make me dislike the guy. I don't think they changed them at all, the Angels are clearly used to not being able to look at each other. It seems they arrange themselves in an easy configuration in which the ones at the back close their eyes allowing the ones on front to continue. They quite literally move via stop-motion animation of themselves, which is why they moved so slowly towards Amy. I don't get what you mean, could you please elaborate? -
Aha! You have surprised us all with this new development, instead of adding a dimension as I predicted, you have taken one away! Genius! But seriously this could be a fun idea, I've enjoyed audiobooks in the past. I'll try and listen to it tomorrow, though I might not be able to as Tuesday is Castle and RedvsBlue day. I'll definitely be around to it soon though. The final lines of the comic are great too, I love the DACTA guys, probably because I'm a sucker for 4th wall humour. -Batbrick

Fantastic new comics KDog, as always. Good to see you using the fallout (heh, I only just realised why the title is called that now) of the Loch Ness incident, good continuity. Part 1's Sexy McMad at Shwartz was great, but Coldwell's return with his Xenuphobia (yeah, I'm ashamed at that joke) had me cracking up. I always look forward top his return. and Part 3; The twins! These guys are great, looking forward to seeing more of them. And a mysterious 300th comic that is more than a comic? Colour me intrigued and excited! Yes, I recall that being one of the possible titles you listed a while back. Haha, that was so much more simple than I imagined. And catchy. Sorry, I meant Ronald. I was suffering a dash of stupidity the day I posted that Stop embarrassing me! I'd say that is also a part of how even though this comic is turning out much longer than you expected, its also allowed us as readers to really attach to the characters and as a result appreciate the places the story is taking them. I always forget that you like Doctor Who, how's the new series going for you?Batbrick Away!

Awesome episode, I really think the Weeping Angels have the capability of becoming a good recurring foe for the Doctor. Not as recurring as the Daleks or Cybermen obviously, but probably Sontaran level. Amy is shaping up to be a great companion, her winking solution for the Angels was great. The explanation of the Angels image was quite ingenious too considering I always wondered what happened if you set up a camera to tape an Angel and just watched it later. Flesh and Stone looks to kick it out of the park though, Moffat is one good writer. And I'm so glad they'll be addressing the "crack in the wall" arc, looks like we underestimated how this will be dealt. Personally I'm just glad they aren't repeating a phrase over and over that eventually comes up in the finale and selling that off as a proper story arc (Hint: It isn't). Batbrick Away! -
Thanks so much guys. The haul so far (still waiting on a few latecomers) is Avatar: The Last Airbender Books 1-3, Seven Samurai, Gone with the Wind, The Simpsons Season 7, Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths, a lot of chocolate, some money, a new cat which I've named Azula in honour of my favourite villainess and a Batman toothbrush!
