  1. Just dropping in to say that all your recent figs look spectacular old friend, my favourite is especially Crazy Quilt, I beg you to do more Brave and the Bold characters, since the newer ones are getting a little obscure for my tastes. Your skills visibly improve over the course of this thread. I'll try and review all the ones I've missed sometime! Batbrick Away!
  2. Fantastic job M_longer, the driver area looks brilliant, great use of plates, bars and that specific trans piece. The rest is just as great, a near perfect machine, the log carrying section at the back particularly looks great. Batbrick Away!
  3. Heh. Author Filibuster much? It would've been ironic however if he ended up the hardest working and most successful person, but alas we are talking about Ronald here. I always enjoy a little author tract now and again, so I'll let this slide as the irony term does annoy me sometimes when put into the wrong context. I chuckled at the Masterso f the Universe cutaway, abd the final line was quite good too. Batbrick Away!
  4. Easily the best Daleks I've ever seen, though admittingly much too big next to a fig I don't care much honestly Batbrick Away!
  5. Thanks for the review. This set isn't quite as good as I thought it was but still very well done and a good one. However I wasn't planning on getting it and this has further swayed me towards that decision, as I'm planning on spending much less money on Lego next year and this is not a priority for my Gotham project. Batbrick Away!
  6. Thanks for the great review Matn, I'll be sure to get this set since as far as I know it is the cheapest to get the shark. I adore that shark fig, the comparison with the Harry Potter one really shows it's advantages. The actual vehicle is quite neat and I can never have enough of those sweet grapple hooks. The diver fig also has a useful face too, thanks for posting. Batbrick Away!
  7. That mini-Neptune set is so adorable! It's a perfect emulation of the actual thing and even better in some ways Batbrick Away!
  8. Very nice Torham, I like your Dilbert avatar by the by. The setting looks very good, though I think the back wall behind the bartender should have a little more detail. The gun test "story" done here is quite enjoyable and I laughed at the money part. I don't know if it was intentional for the coins to add up to correctly $100, but if so my hat goes off to you in terms of detail. Batbrick Away!
  9. Very neat kris kelvin! I love the carriage with all those teeth, a fantastic design. great job setting up all the minifigs too, though I'm not sure about the hair choice on the queen. The winter trees and skeletons on crosses are brilliant though, and the additino of the detailed sides such as the black figures and cross weapons really sells the whole thing. Batbrick Away!
  10. Another great little creation The Bricskter, a simple but effective construction foryour ox cart there. The hidden gun feature is very good Batbrick Away!
  11. Love the use of the tiara as a bloodsplatter on the swordsmans head, that there is a stroke of genius! The second vignette is also very fun, I love the way you've positioned the figs and your Sallah is quite good. I agree with Clone O'Patra however, I don't think the backgrounds quite suit much, change them and the thing is nearly perfection. Batbrick Away!
  12. Wow, goodluck mate, I love seeing huge projects like this unfold. Certainly a big spectacle to pull off but I'm sure you'll manage if you have enough determination. I will be jealous of your tan baseplates. Batbrick Away!
  13. Yay, good job patching up a plothole there KDog, and in a convincing way too, none of that "retcon" stuff that is so obvious. I enjoyed Magnetica's argument here and laughed at her blanking him. I have no idea what those toys were though, but I laughed at the "little pink one" euphemism. Batbrick Away!
  14. Thanks for posting ThePenguin, I saw this the other day. A bit excited even though I've only played a little of the first one I'm planning on doing it with my friend who has an XBox. I'm really hoping that Joker won't be the main badguy for this game, I think Two-Face would be much, much better, though I'm worried they'll make him too much of a villain. Batbrick Away!
  15. I'll believe when I see it Batbrick Away!
  16. Wow! I'm glad to see this topic has taken off! Ah yes, that's another thing; - Animation is my favourite medium as I find it has the least restrictions, and this applies also to anime. Some of my favourite shows are Batman and the entire DC animated universe, Batman: The Brave and the Bold, Teen Titans, Avatar, Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo, Axis Powers Hetalia, Daria, Legion of Superheroes, Invader Zim, Futurama, Dilbert and the first eight seasons of The Simpsons. The anime series Monster I found to be so good it has ruined a lot of other works for me by simply being so great. -I am also a big fan of science fiction and am building a collection of my favourite tv series and films of the genre. I am somewhat the same, I much prefer doing things by my own will rather than being forced to. I'm sorry sir, but we must be enemies now! Because the universe likes to stamp its heel on those that are so gifted And okay, I concede that maybe a near-extinct animal saves us a bit. Don't worry guys, I'm technically underage too, 5 months away from turning 18 actually, and I joined two or more years ago. Just to clarify, I made this topic so we could find out more about each other and share some fun facts about ourselves, I was kind of hoping it wouldn't turn into a bragfest No problem, I'm finding it interesting myself to read all this. Just a couple more from me as well; - I am 17 - I love old fashioned hats and almost constantly wear a fedora-esque one (not sure what it is actually to be honest, but it is black with white stripes) - I also love suits and coats, and have a cheap but much loved double breasted one I often wear on cold days. - As a resident of Tasmania I must be aware that the weather can go from a cold windy morning to a steaming midday to a stormy afternoon. - I have almost no musical taste whatsoever, though I love jazz and extravagant orchestra, both probably because I hear them so often in my films. - I will be attending my second year of college next February. - My favourite colour is dark blue but I enjoy black as well. Batbrick Away!
  17. Heh, you almost had me there KDog Batbrick Away!
  18. Hello all, Batbrick here, just thought it might be cool to have a thread where people can pop in and post a few things about themselves that they haven't posted before or is not widely known, just so we can have a laugh and know some members a little more. If this thread crashes or gets filled with spam or something then no big deal, just thought it would be a neat idea to try. Obviosuly I'll go first: - I'm left handed in real life and as a joke all my minifigs on display are too. Unfortunately it makes exams quite annoying when I have both handcramp and smudgy letters. - My real life name is actually Thomas, though I was going to be George. I'm happy with what I got. - I used to be a viscous little punk when I was 5, I chased two of my cousins on separate occasions with a cricket bat and my own older sister with a pitchfork. I've since calmed down a bit. - On that note, nothing, NOTHING riles me up more than people talking loudly, and especially from two sides of a room while I'm trying to watch a film. - I consider myself quite a geek, not huge into sport at all except table tennis and consider myself quite knowledgeable in discussing storytelling conventions. - I once ripped out a loose tooth and a second not-loose one came out as well attached by a small string of mouth-meat. It was gross but also cool and didn't hurt much. - My hair used to be blond but has now turned a light brown to my dismay. - My long term dreams are to actually gather the motivation to start driving, learn Japanese and go to Japan, get an awesome trenchcoat, start my own webcomic and go skydiving. Oh and also meet a member of that strange species called women that actually likes me. - I'm Christian, but very appreciative of others views as long as they are reasonable and willing to be able to take a laugh at themselves. - I live in Tasmania, Australia, and convinced that nothing remotely good comes from it except those awesome Betta Milk ads. Okay, that's a but from me, I'd like to see some cool, funny or just plain gross or weird facts from some of you guys and girls! Batbrick Away! (before someone chases me with a pitchfork!)
  19. Great brickwork here Ezechielle, the colours and slight differences. Oddly, my favourite thing is actually all those bicycles, they just looks so neat together like that Batbrick Away!
  20. As always Ralph S you make a fantastic aircraft that looks entirely accurate. I remember the Wildcat that was featured at the Avalon air festival, and this is certainly very much like it and all the pictures I've seen of them. Thanks a heap for sharing and be sure to build a Focke Wulf Fw190 some time Batbrick Away!
  21. Thanks for the review yellost, I really love this set. The figs are fantastic, and Cthulhu is a must-get no matter what for me. The giant squid is better than the one from the Aquaraiders theme, which is really saying something as that was a fantastic squid. The baby squid is actually somewhat cute as well. The gate of the set is sadly nothing to really write about, so that certainly brings the set down a bit. Odds are sadly that I'll end up getting Cthulhu off of bricklink, monmey is hard to come by these days. Batbrick Away!
  22. Great flying contraption TheAlchemyst, I really must get into this steampunk craze as it looks like real fun. The front especially makes those ugly rounded pieces look appealing, great job! All the greebles with the wheels and pipes really makes the creation though, thanks for sharing. Batbrick Away!
  23. As always Rayskull you create a spectacular Skullship with awesome details. I love the opening cockpit and movable wings. The opening mouth and rear cannon are my favourite details however! Batbrick Away!
  24. A great fun little moc Sir Gecko, I love the neat little details such as the drain. The addition of the "withering fungie" and books is great, but my favourite part is the hat! Batbrick Away!
  25. Wonderful TheBrickster, easily my faovurite of your Mexican creations so far! The lion heads still have me envious, and the addition of the various jail elements such as the door and barred rail really sell the whole thing. The stables are great too, good use of those sloped pieces, the shot makes them look like one piece on either side strangely. And as usual the little things are what make me love it, like the positioning of the characters, crate of gear and stack of hay. Batbrick Away!
