It's starting to look great already! I love all the small detail, the wooden poles and nature stones on the dock being my favourite.

Happy birthday people, have a great day!

I think they will be around for a while, it will all depend on the sales figures. As I've understood the new sets sold very well, and we are seeing new items as the coin-bank and battle pack being released. I've got my hopes up for some new sets before Christmas! So if you want pirates to stay, then buy as many sets as you can!

Ah that is a nice set, don't you just love the new figures? Happy belated birthday! -
If you are going to build an accurate ship, the standard masts are simply too short. The main mast should always be about as long as the ship is over the sterns. I always use this part for the bases of my masts, usually 2 on top of eachother depending on the length of the hull. The from the first platform up i use the standard masts, long bases for the front and main, short base for the mizzen. Hope that helps?

Aaah now you're being clear, could be indeed, it would surely be nice to get some small reddish brown wheels as the old ones are getting rarer and rarer. If you post like this the first time, no questions will arise.

With regular boogies and magnets you can make them with 2 sstuds in between the cars, i'd just go with that as it has a high playabilaty and realistic look. Where would you place the edges of the cars on your coupling i wonder? As the edges of the cars make up the space in between and the turning range i think?

That is on long prefab hull, i hope you can pull it off Joey! The only tip i have now is too space out the gunports 4 studs instead of 3, so you can make them properly offset. Will you make tumblehome on the first gundeck as well, or will that part be straight? Good luck on it!

Thanks! What makes you say that, have you got some evidence to back that up?

They call it a battlepack, but it has 4 different figures which isn't really helpful when you're building an army i think. If i was building an army i'd get the soldier impulse set and cannon battles. The other figures are easily obtained by getting the large sets or via Bricklink and you don't need too many of them i guess. It is a nice battlepack for people that need more figs though i guess. The coinbank is great for kids, and it has a new and unique sail so it can be useful for us MOCcers as well. Thanks for sharing!

My first 8 wide train model
Captain Green Hair replied to MightySlickPancake's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Looks like a nice model you made, but isn't it a bit too long for an engine? -
It looks ok, but a few things strike me as odd though. If it is steam powered, then where is the big exhaust? And why do the mudguards not fit over the wheels, they are kinda useless now.. Nice use of the chrome cups as headlights though and using the arches upside down on the sides is a nice tough as well. Did you base this of a real car Jordan?

The ghost car is really cool and creative, i like it a lot! Kudos for trying an elaborate Ferrari design, but it doesn't look really smooth like a real one IMO. Maybe using some more standard parts like a wind shield and slopes could make it better...

A happy belated birthday from me too! Hope you had a great day, i saw the loot was surely good!

My Vintage LEGO collection.

Nice collection you have there! I have some of the 1:87 garages, but i didn't know what they were as the doors were missing. I think they might make nice shopwindows without them perhaps....... Thanks for sharing! You must not have slept that night then.. -
Pirate Island with harbor mountain beach and many more
Captain Green Hair replied to maydayartist's topic in Pirate MOCs
Wow, what a lovely port. The buildings, the small details and the layout are simply great, the fisherman and the cave with all the detail inside being my favourites! The only improvement i ccan think of is to make the water lower then the beach, as it would flood as it is now.. Better well stolen then badly thought up! :pir-skull: -
USS Constitution Landing Craft: Captain's Gig mostly done
Captain Green Hair replied to Capn Frank's topic in Pirate MOCs
Those are starting to look like fine vessels Phred, very smart use of the sloped bricks on the bow! I think i would like a brick build rudder more, since it can be made studless that way. The brown line Capt. Blackmoor mentioned would also be a great touch. I'd make the benches a bit wider and all at the same height, so they fit just above the thicker lower line in the hull. (Did that make sense) Keep it up Derph!
