Build a frigate with Captain Green Hair.
Captain Green Hair replied to Captain Green Hair's topic in Pirate MOCs
Step 2, widening the hull Ok next up we widen the hull with the use of jumperbricks, tiles and plates. First up we lay down a layer of jumpers and tiles on the shown area. If you don't have enough jummpers, you can always add some tiles in between like i did: Next up we put on plates, placing them 1/2 a stud out: Then again we put on jumperbricks, except for the first and last 5 studs, we place tiles there. (Do not use 2 wide tiles): Lastly we again place plates at a 1/2 stud out and then tiles on their outer studs: -

Here's a picture of the real thing for reference: I think you did a really nice job on it, looking forward to see it finished with more details. Would it be possible to maybe make the engine a little longer to resemble the real thing even better? -
It does not, you got off really easy no long lecture at all. Please think about your own actions before pointing fingers at people.

If you don't like it, then please go to your bigger site that you moderate better. This will be my last post in this one, too bad it was reopened. -

You clearly do not appreciate it that people spend their free time to keep our forum clean and make it attractive for the AFOL community. Yes AFOL, though we have some underaged members here, this is still an AFOL orientated site. I don't hear any AFOLs complain, while they are complaining about crap topics and lame posts on the forum. You should try and moderate a site as big as this for a day, since you clearly seem to know it better. You might not like my attitude here, but i've heard enough of this unconstructive whining cluttering up the forum. -
Dimensions of Lego elements?
Captain Green Hair replied to Peppermint_M's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Why don't you use MLcad if i may ask? That has all the parts and shuld work the same and saves time i think. I also don't get the fact that you can work with this complicated software, but can't take up a liniar and measure bricks? I remember you were talking about a project some time ago. Is this the same project? -

Can i close this please? Yes you can! Thanks, we have like a million of these topics from people that obviously don't know what they are talking about. -
Red, white and blue, i wonder what other countries use that in their flag? Maybe some that even been around longer. Don't get me wring, i love America as much as i hate it.
-
Thanks guys! No i haven't, but i do plan on giving her an overhaul before the end of the year. All the ships on prefab hulls are still together, except for Le Requin. The Seagull has been sold to Matija, and he has promised not to break it up.

There have been pictures of the caroussel around for a while. I should merge this, but instead i'll close it. Please do not start anymore lame topics without showing anything, thank you.
-
Sure, but i'm Dutch buddy.
-
So we can not win anything?
-
You did really well on the leaves! You might even add some red 1x1 round plates and you have an apple tree. Trees are hard to make, my last attempt was rubbish, though i will give it a go again. Looking forward to seeing your other ''fancyer'' trees.

Your skills are growing by the week Paul, keep it up! Are you sure? Ok It all started with the Denise, coming out of my ''dark age'' now 6 years ago: Though not very piratical, the next sailing ship i have build about 6 months after was the El Sueno: After a few projects my next ship was Le Requin: Then the Yellow thief (which is still together): After that i have build ''the Telesell'' which is also still together: Next up was ''la Mort Royal'': After that one ''the Seagull'': Then i have build the Dutch yacht: And i ofcourse still am working on my ''Prins Willim'' So that's the evolution of my building, i'd love to see some more stories. Great topic this one!

We agreed on dropping the reds VS blue jokes, so stop it. And don't ever use that L337 speak again. Consider this an official warning. -
Ships ofcourse. Who doesn't love their rich history, their majestic and imposing looks, the full sails blowing in the wind, a full broadside firing at once and the all damaging effect on the enemy after.
-
Well hello madam, do you have a donor card? No, but my husband does. Great we are going to have to take his liver. Aah ok, would you like some tea? Husband: aaaarrgghh while they rip him open. On of the best sketches ever IMO, i love Monthy Python.

I'd say dark red, tan ornaments, white windows and a black roof. The streets and platforms should be then light grey and you can ofcourse add some more colors in the small details. Some vegetation like a big tree or something would make a nice addition as well i think. Good luck on decidiing and the eventual build!

I know what you mean, and please do not post just to get a higher post count or ask about it again. You clearly haven't read our guidelines and website information which can be found on top of the frontpage. Consider this a friendly warning.

Happy birthday Morten! It was good seeing you again at the event, have a great day!
-
I'm with the good Dictator on this!
-
Wow, that is one big inn! I think this is your best building yet commodore. It has a solid colorscheme and all the detail is great and looks very accurate. I kinda wonder if they had a big sleeping hall like that, though it doesn't seem unlikely for some lower class people to sleep on one floor. I love all the ''entertainment'' that is offered, when can i move in?
-
Wow, simply amazing! I love the detail on it, inside as well as outside it is brilliant. So are the used colors. I have to agree with Hinckley on the round windows, they look unsemetrical, but maybe the architect intended that. And i can't help but wonder why the trains would stop almost inside a city block? Maybe TLC should use your design for the next modular building.
-
My thoughts exactly, plus the fact that reddish brown is a lot cheaper then tan.
-
Phred, good to see you're back! Why tan, seems like an odd color to make the hull in? It would depend on weither you are using mine or Teddy's technique. For Teddy's you need loads of 1x2, 3, 4 L plates and tiles, for mine you can add 3.500 jumperbricks.
