  1. May i suggest you try it with real bricks and then see what you like best? The mids have a bit of a straight part on the top, with the inverted slopes it just makes a weird dent IMO.
  2. Wow those look very real! Seeing these now might even mean they will hit the stores before christmas...
  3. Wow, that is very well build with some interesting techniques! Especially the red logo's on the wings are a great touch. Only improvement i could think of is a little bit better (and maybe bigger) cockpit with some trans bricks to make it look more realistic.
  4. Thanks for the idea and thinking with us here Kurt! The method i use gives a more gradual curve and looks less bulky IMO, since it uses half studs. I have tested yours in the past and i know some others used it as well and it doesn't look bad at all.
  5. Those are well build and the absurdity of a steam powered monorail is just hilarious! The whole display you guys have build looks just terrific, i wish i could have seen it IRL. Looking forward to some more pics!
  6. Welcome to Eurobricks!
  7. I can look around for you in Holland, but i don't think 55$ is going to cut it.
  8. Welcome to Eurobricks! Town is one of my favourite themes as well, especially the newer detailed buildings are very to my likings. I to want to make a layout some day, but i haven't got space at the moment either. Though i don't own a Vesta set, seeing a few at Holodocs house yesterday, i can imagine why you like it so much. If you have any problems posting on the boards, please be sure to check out the tutorial and help section, a link is in my signature.
  9. Haha yeah, that is a good one! I'd propably keep that one in 1 piece for a long time. Would need to buy another brick separator though.
  10. I'm Greenlandish ofcourse.
  11. I'd like to see TLC continue on the Emerald night with an old trainstation, watertower, roundhouse, more seperate coaches and what not. I just stuff from the days gone.
  12. Welcome to Eurobricks! I'd suggest a darker font as well, to make your posts easyer to read.
  13. I actually like the way it rhymes, very catchy!
  14. I'm sorry, but this looks like a fireman with a riot shield to me.
  15. This and this. The new types can also be used, but they stick out more and have to be modified when you choose to do so.
  16. That is starting to look cool! Be carefull that you don't make the curve in the side too curved, otherwise it will look dented. I also think that the bow is a bit too pointy, as where it would be round IRL. Good luck on it!
  17. Thanks guys, we really put in a lot to make this place into what it is! I to love EB and it's community. I can tell you that this is mostly the only forum i am active on, and if it wouldn't be such a great place, i'd be long gone. The fact that i love most about this sote is that i made some great personal friends here from all over the world.
  18. You've certainly captured it very well Phred! The tail is well done, is it sturdy? The colors look ok to me, though all dark grey and some M*A*S*H* stickers would be great. The canopy might look nice in trans black. There's just 1 thing i'm missing in there, where's the guy in the dress?
  19. I'll move this to the General discussion forum to get some more attention.
  20. I think that was a wise descision. Good luck on your next Emperor!
  21. A belated happy birthday from me too! Hope you all had a great day and some good loot!
  22. Those are quit good movies you've made there. The images and sounds are pretty clear and the animation is pretty smooth! I've moved this to our new Brickfilms and comic forum, hope you don't mind.
  23. Happy Independance day Americains!
  24. Wonderful to see all your ships together like that in all their glorie! I will make it to Brickworld some day and hopefully see them in real life. Keep on building RTN!
  25. Ok guys, step 2 is up. I think it should be clear, but if you have questions you know where to direct them. Next up i want you to think up a colorscheme for your ship, it would be a bit boring if they all have the same color ofcourse. I usually test my colorschemes by making a simple drawing in paint and putting in the colors. When you have made it up, please share it with us in this thread. Good luck!
