Can anyone point me in the direction of those leaked images of the new book sets? I’ve tried all the usual hashtags on Instagram but they must be buried so far down by now that I can’t find them. Any help would be much appreciated. -

I think it’s mentioned in the digital / dvd Deathly Hallows bonus content. It’s been years since I’ve watched those featurettes though so I could be wrong I need a naked Harry for my prefect bathroom scene so I’d buy it -

@bluedog1111 maybe I will eat my words next year, but I think a $250 Battle of Hogwarts set is completely unrealistic. Since 2018, LEGO has given us sets that focus on the fantasy and the adventure of the Wizarding World - not the battles and the action features. I highly doubt a $250 set with exploding windows and exploding bridges like you’ve described is in the cards for us. The most expensive LEGO Harry Potter sets to date have been dollhouse designs that feature scenes of dinner and dancing and Christmas parties and magical shopping experiences. It has been said many times before, but a large segment of the target audience for this series is women and girls. Look at all the social media influencers that LEGO sent the Diagon Alley teaser materials to - they are all young women whose content is all about collecting and decorating with Harry Potter merchandise. Maybe we will get another segment of the Hogwarts castle after all, but I really don’t see it being a massive $250 expansion that is entirely focused on a bloody battle scene. All I’m saying is don’t set yourself up for disappointment. -

@Whovastron has made one of my favorite MOCs of a full minifig scale Hogwarts that incorporates all of the current Hogwarts sets and shows what a Belltowers set could potentially look like: -

I don’t think a set featuring the Forbidden Corridor with Fluffy, the tentacular vines, the flying keys, and the Mirror of Erised wouldn’t warrant a $250 price point. That could easily be a $120 set. Now if the set also included the Troll in the dungeon, Moaning Myrtle’s bathroom, and the Chamber of Secrets with a badass Basilisk build, that could work for $250. It might actually be a nice interior fit for the Belltowers. Fluffy’s room at the top of one tower with traps leading down the length of the tower to the Mirror and Myrtle’s bathroom at the top of the other tower with a trap leading down into the Chamber of Secrets. I still think this is highly unlikely as it would be a massive expansion to the existing Hogwarts castle layout, but its fun to fantasize about. -

I don’t know, it’s a classic London townhouse in an iconic neighborhood (Claremont Square) that I think many LEGO City collectors and LEGO Harry Potter collectors would be happy to add to their displays. Personally, I find it much more appealing than the painfully boring and middle class little house on Privet Drive. And although it’s technically not in the same area, it could even be connected to the growing Diagon Alley display system. Take a look at this gorgeous LEGO Ideas build of Grimmauld Place. You can’t tell me that this wouldn’t be appealing to Harry Potter fans, and it would be the perfect setting for the annual Christmas party that LEGO has been featuring in its sets: https://ideas.lego.com/challenges/fa395293-eda9-4603-83cc-aac44c1052cb/application/2a7993f5-2abb-4c27-ad7e-2b60345883b3 -
Harry Potter 2020 - Rumors & Discussion

One thing I’ve learned with this series is to expect the unexpected. While I am confident that one of the three pricier sets ($250, $130, $120) will be Gringott’s and another will be the Durmstrang ship, I am not completely sold that we will be getting another big Hogwarts add-on. As much as I would love to get the Belltowers (which is the only somewhat recognizable section of the castle left that could be a big standalone Hogwarts set), I just don’t see that happening next year. LEGO has clearly shifted gears with its sales strategy for Harry Potter and its “pattern” of releases as @Guyon2002 noted when he shared this new info. I think it’s more likely that some of the small / medium sets will be used to “add-on” to Hogwarts - a battle scene on the Acqueduct bridge, a Chamber or Secrets, or a Forbidden Corridor. The Hogwarts set is already massive when displayed all together and the classrooms are being marketed to be a separate display system (though one could easily take them apart and build onto the back of their current display). I have a feeling one of these more expensive sets is going to be something completely unexpected that the fans have wanted for a long time. Maybe Grimmauld Place or Malfoy Manor. Or maybe even another add-on to Diagon Alley with a couple of the shops we are missing from the D2C release - notably Eylops Owl Emporium, Madam Malkin’s, Pottages, the Leaky Cauldron, etc. That leaker from last month mentioned three Diagon Alley add-ons in 2021. If he is right, they could be Gringott’s, Borgin & Burke’s, and another set like this that features some of the missing shops. -

One set that hasn’t been mentioned as a possibility that I think could be quite likely next year is a Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom. I know we technically got one in the Clocktower set but it is really lackluster. With LEGO’s new focus on book / classroom sets, I wouldn’t be surprised if one of the new $39 sets is a copy of Magical Me that opens up to feature the DADA class with Lockhart in his blue robes, a little dragon skeleton build, and (please God) a couple little Cornish pixies. -

@minifigure_dreams is already selling the new McGonagall for $8 with $4 shipping to the US. How is that possible? They must have got their hands on a small supply of her. I have a feeling all four professors will feature new looks. Snape in his all-black robes with a black cape and a new hair mold and a face print would be a dream come true. -

I have a feeling this may be the year we finally get 12 Grimmauld Place. It’s a fan-favorite OOTP set that also features pretty heavily in DH1. If my theory is correct, 12 Grimmauld Place will feature the Christmas party scene following Arthur’s attack, and the 2021 Advent Calendar will be a “Weasley Christmas” theme that can be used to enhance either the Burrow set or the new Grimmauld Place set. I just don’t see an Advent Calendar based on the Slug Club Party as a marketable option. I imagine a Grimmauld Place set would include Sirius, Harry, Kreacher, Arthur, Molly, Ron, Hermione, and Ginny. The Advent Calendar could give us Fred and George. -

If I’m not mistaken, the guy had a big YouTube and Insta following. Bevin Bricks I think was his name. He seemed like a bit of an idiot when I DMd him though. Nice guy, just not very bright. Couldn’t remember basic details of what was “leaked” to him. I agree with you and @Guyon2002 here - three full floors with a domed roof and a much bigger footprint makes more sense to me. I’m so excited for this set. I have a feeling it’s going to be a masterpiece. -

I think you’re right here. Three full floors plus the domed roof would be perfect. It’s also how they’ve designed the Gringott’s that appears in Universal’s Wizarding World. -

Wasn’t there a leaker who said we’d be getting a few Diagon Alley expansions? I think Gringott’s makes sense as the $250 set - I imagine it being 4 stories tall (so roughly 2 of the 2-story modulars that are ~$100 a piece in the D2C Diagon Alley) plus a sweet dragon build and some minecart play features comes to $250. I also think one or two of the $80 - $100 sets will probably be Borgin & Burke’s and/or Eylops Owl Emporium with either Pottages or Madam Malkin’s. As much as I would love a D2C Hogsmeade for $250, I don’t see that happening. With the Three Broomsticks, Honeydukes, Hog’s Head, Zonkos, and the Shrieking Shack, they could easily make that another $400 set in 2022. -

I still don’t even see McGonagall. The glare is so bad even in the new pics you can barely make out a minifig let alone a dress piece. -

As we discuss the potential of a few Diagon Alley expansion sets, which I am so excited about, I thought I’d share this Madam Malkin’s / Pottage’s MOC by @jl.bricks that I came across on Instagram. Madam Malkin’s would be a great way to get a few different Slytherin / Hufflepuff / Ravenclaw robes. And Pottages is so iconic to Diagon Alley with that towering stack of cauldrons. Love it. -

If Belvin Bricks’ source is right then it doesn’t sound like the Ukrainian Ironbelly will be included. That seems like a big detail that the source would have mentioned. I can see us getting the dragon as a separate set similar to the Hungarian Horntail set with a small mine cart build. What do folks think this second set could possibly be? My money is on Borgin & Burke’s. There were so many hints at Knockturn Alley in the Diagon Alley set - from the entrance way to Harry’s Floo powder-smudged face. I would eventually love a Leaky Cauldron set where LEGO could give us some random witches and wizards that we are desperately missing from the Diagon Alley set (Tom the Barman, Daedalus Diggle, Doris Crockford, the Housekeeping Witch, etc.), but I feel like that has less retail potential than Borgin & Burke’s which could include some bad guys and potential conflict. -

So I sent a direct message to Bevin’s Bricks on Instagram. I tried buttering him up by saying I was a big fan of his YouTube channel. I asked if he knew if a dragon was coming with Gringott’s and if he was able to remember the name of the second set. Here was his response: Hello and thanks so much for watching. Sadly no I cant remember and It will be a bit before I get to talk to my source again. So far everything he's ever told me his always come true so I have to say I believe him but because I haven't seen this news anywhere else I was a little leery to post the video about it. But he had so much information to share I want to tend to believe him. As for the dragon Thats a really good question. He didn't have that much details to give though. I’m so confused by his response... first he says “he had so much information to share” and then he says “he didn’t have that much details to give.” I really don’t know what to think... this all just sounds so sketchy. -

I tend to agree with you on this one. This isn’t some random faceless leaker - the guy has an established following. The way he talks makes me want to bash myself in the head with a lamp like Dobby, but he seems legit. Stupid (who forgets the name of the second set that was shared with you in your big exclusive leak video???) but legit.
