I'd love another Halloween CMF series, but a licensed Universal Monsters theme. I think between the main monsters plus a few protagonists or side-characters, they could come up with 16-20 figs.

I’ve got no insider info, so this is just a guess, but haven’t there been instances where they use either placeholder images for figures or prototypes? That could be the case for Grievous, as far as the clone, do we actually know for sure it’s a clone? I know we’ve been told the figure isn’t Commander Cody, but has anyone explicitly said “We’re getting a clone trooper”? Dumb question about semantics, I know, but if there is a Magnaguard like you’re suggesting, that actually makes a lot more sense than a random clone in my opinion. -

Whoops, I did definitely forget about those. I will say this though, outside of the Imperial Shuttle, I think all of the other minifigure scale UCS ships are ones that the system scale sets can't accurately capture the correct size. Slave I or the Falcon at $100 or $150 price points are obviously much smaller than their actual size, so it requires a $250 or $800 set to actually nail down the sizing. The gunship is already sized pretty well at $150, which is why I don't see how they could make it minifigure scale and justify a $200+ price point that we probably can expect for UCS ships at this point. -

We're at minimum one year away from that being released (ie, the absolute earliest we'd see it is the May UCS release in 2021), so there's no details at all. That said, I would guess if it's similar to most other UCS sets, it'll be larger than minifigure scale, since I think pretty much the only minifig scale UCS sets we've had (not counting the playsets) are the Falcon and like the Naboo Starfighter from almost 20 years ago. The system scale versions are already as close to minifig scale as we can really get with LEGO, they could maybe make it a bit wider, but the length and height are pretty ideal as it is. Assuming that the UCS version is at least $200, as most ships have been, I don't really see how they could size it similar to the system versions but justify a price increase of $50 or more. -

I still think expecting a third figure in Anakin's fighter is unrealistic. There's only been one time that we got more than two figures in a Jedi fighter priced at $30 or less, and that was eight years ago. All of the other times we've gotten extra figures, they've been $40 or more and generally come withs some sort of extra piece, be it a hyperdrive ring or a Separatist vehicle/vehicles. I'd absolutely love a Rex figure in the set, and that's probably the biggest thing that would get me to buy it, but I think expecting it is setting yourself up for disappointment. -

I was honestly expecting Rex in the 501 set, that way they could put Ahsoka with the AAT, and we get the four main characters across the four prequel sets this wave. -

My gut's telling me that if we get a hero character (like, not just a random clone, but a named hero, since I'd expect at the bare minimum we get a clone instead of a name character), it'd be Ahsoka, because they know people (myself included, lol) will justify spending $40 to get a set for Ahsoka that they may not buy otherwise. Rex is a very popular character too, but I wonder if including him is redundant since we're getting three other figures that look very similar in a cheaper set. Could be wishful thinking, but I guess we'll just have to wait and see. As far as the A-Wing, it does look very, very nice. I don't have any UCS ships and I don't see myself buying this, but it definitely looks good. Very good balance between a sleek/smooth exterior and enough studs to make it look "Lego-y", the interior (seat details especially) looks good, and even though it is a little bit larger scale-wise than the other Rebel ships, I think it'd look good next to them on display. -
@BlueberryWaffles,On the subject of Terry Crews, they didn't mention it in the episode, but he does actually build LEGO. I only recently found that out myself, but if you search "Terry Crews Lego," he's put up photos before of him building the UCS TIE and his whole UCS display (probably rivals quite a few EB users' collections!). So I'm guessing he does actually have a genuine appreciation for the techniques and skill beyond just "Wow, that's a big building!" type of thing that you tend to get with people who aren't as into LEGO. Strange that they didn't show any pictures on the episode to show the audience that he's legitimately a LEGO fan. On the topic of the last episode, wow! Definitely the strongest builds yet!

There is still one more unknown set coming out in August that's around $90-100 or something, I forgot (I think both prices have been given so who knows what the final price will look like). There's always a chance that we get a set similar to the Final Duel (I believe $80) that we got around 2014 or so, except from Ep 9. That's a complete guess, and knowing LEGO, it'll probably end up being something completely unrelated to anything topical right now, but there's still a possibility we get it in set form this year. -

Okay, honestly I'm considering buying it just for the snowy Gonk droid... I'm predicting ROTJ Luke, since we haven't had one for a while, although I wouldn't be surprised if it was pilot Luke/Tatooine Luke. -
Oh, wow, I actually was unaware that it's a different vehicle than the normal AT-AT. Sort of funny that their cargo transports still have massive guns on the side.

Hm, interesting. I wonder how/if they'll try to make it look as though it's in space? I doubt I'll spent the $75 or whatever it is to get it, since there isn't $75 worth of SW stuff I particularly need right now (waiting on the actual release to pick up the Razor Crest, I want to see an in-depth review first), but I might buy the parts separately to build it if it looks good. -
I would love if we got ghost Obi-Wan, Yoda, and Anakin as promos for the ROTJ anniversary, but I seriously doubt it (and sidenote, but Victory Celebration > Yub Nub all day, don't hate me ) As far as a few other ideas I've had lately: Saw Gerrera's Hideout, $49.99. Includes a 3 sided building (sorta like the Cantina) with a sliding door at one end, an entrance room with the space for his men to sit and gamble or whatever and an interrogation area, and then two prison cells on the other side, also with a raising door. The roof and one of the walls would have a collapsable feature. Includes Saw Gerrera, Jyn Erso, Bodhi Rook, Benthic, and another of Saw's soldiers. Scarif AT-AT, $149.99. AT-AT build, plus some small beach scenery, probably with an exploding feature. Includes 2x AT-AT driver, 2x Shoretrooper, Baze Malbus with rocket launcher, and another Rebel soldier. Blue Squadron X-Wing Fighter, $79.99. Includes Antoc Merrick, an Astromech droid, 1 Rebel soldier, and 1 Scarif Shoretrooper TIE Fighter, $59.99. Has an exploding wing feature. Includes Chirrut Imwe with crossbow, TIE pilot, and 2x Death Troopers The Erso homestead, $29.99. Similar to Obi-Wan's hut, also includes a moisture vaporator. Includes Galen Erso, young Jyn Erso, Lyra Erso, and Director Krennic. (Probably won't get made cause it's sort of dark for LEGO's typical tastes). As you can see, I would love some more Rogue One sets.

I thought someone a while back said it was another mini-build, but I may have imagined that. If that is true, I know that we've had Endor and Hoth, so I would guess Mos Eisley or Tatooine would make sense, since the one we got was a con exclusive and is a bit smaller than the other promo mini-builds. -
Thanks for all of the insight! Been really cool to hear about what goes into filming, and I'm looking forward to the finale. I'm personally predicting Mark and Boone to take it home, because I think they've got the best combination of technical ability, storytelling creativity, and the ability to work in both minifigure and large scale, but anything can happen. On a sidenote, I'm also glad that the preview of the finale really didn't give anything away as far as the content of the episode, some of the previous trailers/previews made it very plain what the challenge was, what builds broke, and I think there was even one that accidentally spoiled who got eliminated the week before, so kudos to whoever put together the most recent preview.

The lighting is fantastic, really brings these scenes to life. Great work, and looking forward to the next set!

Great stuff @KotZ! I felt that this week was definitely the strongest yet, which I guess makes sense because it should be getting harder and harder to judge as things go on. I definitely could see why the Hoth scene was last. The AT-ATs were amazing, but beyond that, there wasn't a whole lot else going on. The snowspeeders looked solid, but I think including things like a wrecked snowspeeder being stepped on or some of the turrets that the Rebels used, or even part of Echo Base would've really brought a lot more of the scene to life. Now, in fairness, they only had eight hours, and I'd imagine that the first AT-AT probably took a good chunk of that in terms of getting it right in both the looks and the stability, then having to build a second one and make it look like it had been tripped. The only thing that I think the Endor build could've done better was making it look like thicker woods. It seemed like up close, there was a ton going on, which was great, but from a distance, it did look a little bit bare. The Crait build impressed me. I definitely was disappointed that Crait got picked (would've liked to see Mos Eisley, Mos Espa, or Jabba's Sail Barge), but they did a good job on it. One thing I was wondering, they used Imperial Stormtroopers and it looked like Rebel pilot figures. Were First Order Troops/Resistance pilots available and they just made a mistake, or were they limited on what figures were available? Do you know if that affected judging (on TV they didn't mention it, not sure if they said something about that during judging and it didn't make the final cut)? While I'm asking questions, I was also wondering how much source material they were given, or if it was sort of a "build from memory" type of thing? And finally, if you're allowed to answer, I've been wondering all season long, how do breaks work? Obviously since most of the challenges have been 9-14 hours or so, they have to take breaks for eating/bathroom, but are they necessarily required to? Does the clock stop at some point and teams have to take a short break, so that a team can't just go the entire time without eating? Or are they truly building for the full length of the timer?

I don't think they'd transition away from battle packs, because that would basically eliminate any price point lower than $20 with the exception of the Microfighters. I don't think we've gotten a SW set that isn't a battle pack or Microfighter priced at $14.99 or less in probably close to ten years or more right now, and I feel like they'd want to keep some playset in that price range. Kids love minifigures, and so do adults, so pricing a pack of figures with a small scene at about $15 makes it very attainable and likely that both groups are going to buy. Kids can afford it, parents will buy it for them, and adults will buy multiples because they're cheap. When you start jacking the price of army builders up to $30, yes you can fit more stuff in there, but fewer people are going to buy it on an impulse in the same way that a battle pack may sell. Also, I don't really think the $30 model has as much potential to be changed around to different factions besides clones and maybe droids. I don't think that the rebels or even stormtroopers ever really had small vehicles to the point of being able to put two in a $30 set, with the exception of maybe Endor speeder bikes (but you'd need to put like 3-4 in a $30 set or else there's no chance anyone buys that). I think I'll probably get one, but if it wasn't the 501st specifically, I don't think this set would have nearly the same hype that it does. The builds are fine, nothing super novel or particularly incredible, and I think I'd rather that we keep getting locations (Ben's Hut, Yoda's Hut, etc) or duel sets at the $30 price instead of stuff like this. -
In that case, while I still think that the press release was poorly worded and didn't mean that Mario was exclusive, but the functions were, I now am more convinced that he's only in the Starter Set, but pictured with the Castle for some reason. Guess we'll have to wait another couple of months to find out for sure, but if that's the case, I can see why it's so expensive.

I believe a few reliable sources in this thread had confirmed that it was not Cody. It seems strange that they'd just give us a random clone, but I trust the sources, plus they would need a new helmet mold since I don't think we have a Phase II with a visor yet. -

I'm hoping that the new one brings back the pieces that they used for the bottom section in the 2009 version. I think that the 2015 version had the bottom deck section be a bit too tall. I'm assuming it'll also be a decent amount larger in size, since it was a $25 set compared to a $40 set. Even accounting for increasing prices, I can't see the 2015 version selling for much more than $30 if they put it out today, so there's gotta be a size increase. -
Oh, just one more thing I realized, in the third photo, the top right is the speeder from 75207 Imperial Patrol Battle Pack without the guns. The red studs along the top are supposed to be ammo for the stud-shooters that would attach to the sides. Also, yeah, if you're going to sell stuff off, it'd be best to try to put the sets together as much as possible. People are likely going to pay more if you sell them as individual (incomplete) sets rather than bulk lots, since it takes time to sort through and pull stuff out, as I'm sure you've figured out.
-
Oh, yeah, that's it. I had thought it was from Battle on Saleucemi but I think you're right, the green gives it away.
-
Just jumping in with a few that I don't think people have mentioned yet Third picture, top left corner looks to be 75183, Darth Vader Transformation Third picture, second from left looks like most of the bike from 75037, Battle on Saleucemi Third picture, second from right is the wing of a snowspeeder, I'm not entirely sure which set. Second picture, top left corner and the first picture top right corner both look to be Galaxy Squad sets, just based on the colors. I don't own t, but 70709 is the largest one with those light blue colors, so it might be that (someone that owns the set can probably confirm) In the bottom row, middle of the second picture, you've got the head of 40203, Vampire and Bat. Both of the windows in the bottom row of the first picture look like Star Wars parts, but I'm not 100% sure what ships they're off of.

So I've been hoping for an Indy 5 movie for a while now, and seeing as it just got pushed back again, my hopes are dwindling. That said, if we did get a fifth film, I'd love a reboot of the sets, and I think a minifigure series would be a great complement, especially since there's a handful of characters that really don't fit into sets. Here's what I'd do. 1. Indiana Jones (Temple of Doom opening), accessories are a pistol and the jar containing Nurhachi 2. Marion Ravenwood (Nepal Bar), accessories are the headpiece of Ra and a bottle 3. Marcus Brody, accessory is the Grail map 4. Sallah (Last Crusade, with the fez), accessories are a suitcase and a newspaper (Egyptian Mail, morning edition!) 5. Belloq (White outfit from the desert), accessory is a pistol 6. Katanga (the ship captain from Raiders), not sure what accessories he'd have, maybe just a gun or something 7. Willie Scott (dinner outfit), accessory is a monkey head 8. Colonel Vogel, accessory is his walking stick/cane thing and an Indy/Henry Jones Sr. wanted poster 9. Monkey Man, accessories are a monkey and small jar of poison 10. Walter Donovan, accessory is a spare skull head to swap out with his normal face 11. Mac, accessory is a gun 12. Oxley, accessory is a crystal skull 13. Elsa Schneider, accessories are two of the false Grails 14. Lao Che, accessory is a pistol and a diamond 15. Fedora, accessories are the hat and Cross of Coronado 16. Grail Knight, accessories are a sword and the Holy Grail
