Alternative train wheel set with ball bearings
JaBaCaDaBra replied to German Luigi's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Can anyone tell me what type bearings you need? Most have a DIN normalisation I might be able to get them from SKF, thus providing bearings that will last for the rest of your life No promiss, just will try. -
Not only the dataspace, you will generate an enormous datatraffic too and that's not free either. Besides that you will find that pictures will be deeplinked from EB to other fora thus generating even more traffic. This traffic comes now on the bill of Flickr and other picture hosts.

You can still find parts of it on The Waynack Machine https://web.archive.org/web/20191226160053/http://www.moc-pages.com/ If you are really worried about disapprearing websites just make a backup of it. A program like Teleport Pro sucks a complete website down to your harddisk.

2020 Mindstorms set

Ah... Turquoise -
Sigh. Control+ is an app

It depends if I really need those missing pieces, it's not done to ask someone to send you a piece of a few cents. Other issues I stumbled into are sellers that don't mind mold variations. Most of the time it doesn't for me too but these are exceptions. Only one NSS in 6 years and twice a shipment that never arrived and was (forced) payed back by paypal

Crystall ball.... All you know is that Lego used the same mold for the housing as for the Spike hub. Only reason you asume that is cause you saw a leaked picture of a chinese version of the coming 51515 set The thing may have totally different guts. Or won't.. or... As for the Technic hub, yes the one that may not be called control+ hub but most of us call so This thing has the option for a recharchable battery, that is, it has a pushbutton that is not pushed by the battery cradle and maybe ment for recognising what goes in.

And now for the Crimp tool. -
That's not what I mentioned. problem here is that people have sometimes the idea that the hub should first be connected to the phone. this just because it is the normal way how you handle BT devices. (and even the EV3 and Spike have to be connected this way first) But Boost, PU and Tech hubs however must NOT be connected this way, the app does that automatically for you. But you made this mistake the phone and hub try to connect everytime they "see" eachother and at that point neither the controller or app will work correct. So IF you ever made this mistake make sure you delete this connection from your phone so it will no longer mess up things.

Did you, at any point, try to connect the hub over bluetooth to your phone or computer? If so open BT on that device and click forget of the connection.

Absolutly, Even better, Spike is also based on PU and all electric parts are compatible. And that stuff is great education material, I just confronted my granddaughters with it and they're wild about it. Why there is no servomotor? You don't need it anymore, the Spike motors (just how I call for now) are all proportional and sensors the same time. AFAIK this hauler will be steered with that large Spike motor (motor .11 also called) ALL this stuf can be programmed with the PU- as well as the Spike software and the borders that are still there will vanish over time. And then.. then you find out that it also can be controlled with uPy... Okay, gone are those last limitations. And this will be ported to the PU system as well not to talk about the Train Programm. Thats Spike man... Spike is Powered Up, nothing else

New England BrickWorks: 3rd party curves and switches
JaBaCaDaBra replied to Coal Fired Bricks's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Great idea but as allready mentioned, first see then believe. Besides that, there is someone like pfbricks that claim they are producing rails (but probably will never be real) For Europe your product will be way to expensive thanks to inport duty's and such legalised theft.- 43 replies
