LEGO Star Wars 2024 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
Classic_Spaceman replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I just checked the episodes where the Separatist MTT appears, and one of them is the Bad Batch’s debut in TCW! Could we potentially get Republic Crosshair?! I would like to see a new helmet mould for him with helmet holes (and also Hunter, or at least a reuse of the Imperial Armored Commando helmet), but LEGO would probably just use the standard P2 helmet as they did before (especially since we are getting a lot of new moulds as it is!). 🫤 -

Landino is legit, but LifeBricks is not; I am going to wait for someone else (LMG, Fateful) to back this up before I get hyped! Any new Clones that we get will have the current hybrid style - The number of people who would be mad at not getting perfectly 1:1 live-action designs would be far outweighed by those who just want all of their Clones to have the same armour style! That is definitely getting left off, since there is no way to do it at this scale without risk of breakage (unless they make a new helmet attachment, which would probably look bulky and inaccurate in its own way). I am personally just wondering how LEGO will achieve their two-colour helmets! If we are getting Galactic Marines, then we are going to get a new Snowtrooper helmet mould, since the existing piece is too difficult to print (and will inevitably have unsightly pink masks); also, the current piece is not compatible with the updated neck bracket, preventing Snowtroopers and Galactic Marines from having backpacks! I can see the new helmet either being two pieces (helmet piece, mask piece), or a single dual-moulded piece that fits over a neck bracket; either way, the mask section needs to have a more printable surface, so that we can get J:FO/J:S Flametroopers! LMG said that it is the TCW Separatist livery. -
LEGO Sci-Fi Ongoing - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion

I actually love that bit, since it gives the canopy a glowing effect! I am actually contemplating whether it is possible to modify the Invader to have a similar effect, since I really like it. Since those wing pieces were intended to be weapons/sensors, you could try building some gun assemblies that have more yellow in them - Maybe a 1x2 with clips, black pneumatic T-bar, yellow 1x1 rounds with a hole through, and a black lightsaber hilt (or Monkie Kid hilt)? -

This also gives Blacktron I a cobbled-together appearance that fits with their role as thieves (as they likely repurpose stolen tech however they can, rather than building all of their own vehicles from scratch)! -

The Battrax's sensor array, the Alienator, and the Message Intercept Base all have industrial designs IMO. You went for a sleek design with an emphasis on the modular and transforming functions, while the remake leaned more into the original's chunky and angular look; yours is more of a fighter jet, while the remake is a heavy transport (maybe a stolen M:Tron design?). -

Exactly - Blacktron I had a very industrial design language overall, so the inclusion of things like the girder supports on the remake feels very consistent for the faction. -

"Blocky" may have been a poor choice of words - "Chunky" is more what I was trying to convey. The wraparound wings, forward-facing pylons, and an asymmetrical design is odd for Space sets; I do not mean this in a negative way, as the Renegade's unique design is what makes it cool and recognisable! Same! With the price being $100 instead of the rumoured $110, there is no reason to wait! -

I really like this! I get that it is not as sleek and refined as the GE, but the original Renegade was blocky, angular, and oddly-shaped as well (compared with the OG Galaxy Explorer, which was very sleek for its time); the updated version captures this vibe, which I appreciate. It should be fairly easy to mod the Invader GWP to be compatible with the Renegade's connection-points (and those printed parts would look great in place of some of the GWP's stickers!). They will; all non-licensed pieces end up on PAB! -
Holiday Madness Mafia: Day 3
Classic_Spaceman replied to KotZ's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
"Alright, I'll give you a chance; Eloise is absolutely on the Naughty List, so the question is just whether you are too, or you were just framed. We'll see if anyone goes out tonight, and reassess the situation tomorrow. I'll Unvote: Susan (mostlytechnic) and Vote: Eloise (Trekkie99)." "My thinking is that if the Naughty List has two kills available - either as one-offs or alternating - then they wouldn't have waited. Basically, they're outnumbered either four-to-one or three-to-two, with the three-two breakdown being more likely, so getting a kill on the first night puts them at two-two going into the second day; all the Naughties need then is a lynch of a Nice Lister, or no lynch at all plus a kill on the second night, to win. Waiting to use their kills is risky, since one of the Naughties could be lynched before they can kill, and there's no strategic benefit in it." "The only way I can see the Naughty List having two kills is if we have a blocker who guessed the right person to protect on the first night!" "How's that? If Susan's on the Naughty List, then lynching her brings us to a two-to-one ratio of Nice and Naughty - Same goes if we lynch you, by the way!" "Right, but that's assuming you're not Naughty, which you clearly are!" "You could vote for whoever you think is a Naughty, instead of just joining a bandwagon on someone who may have been framed!" -

Holiday Madness Mafia: Day 3
Classic_Spaceman replied to KotZ's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
“Oh, I absolutely agree with your assessment of Eloise - But that doesn’t mean I trust you. I’m willing to play along, though, since I don’t think the Naughties have a second kill available. Even if they’ve got some alternating thing going on to keep them from being overpowered, we would’ve seen a kill on Night 1 - The strat would be to kill on the first night, try to lynch a Nice on the second day, and then kill again on the second night. I don’t see a reason to save a kill if two are available, especially since they’d be risking getting one of their killers lynched before they can use their kill.” “That being said, I don’t know whether the Naughty List has a second role - I know the Nice List has at least one, but we don’t know if Scott was just vanilla or not.” -
Holiday Madness Mafia: Day 3
Classic_Spaceman replied to KotZ's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
“Alright, I’ve had suspicions about you since late yesterday, but let’s say you’re right - Why were you acting suspicious yesterday? Your little argument with Eloise felt staged, and you suggested that letting a Naughty Lister switch votes late in the day to lynch a Nice would be useful, since it would tell us the flipper was Naughty.” “An odd-night reporter? That seems a little. . . odd to me; in a group this small, that’s not particularly useful - And it sounds like something you’d make up after the fact to fit what already happened.” “I actually do agree that there are two Naughties, but I think we wouldn’t agree on who those two are. . .” “I don’t think lynching you gives them the win, but I’ll play along - Who do you think we should lynch today? Eloise?” “I’ve got it on very good authority that the publish cop is a one-off, so I’m doubting the whole alternating-nights thing - I think the Naughty killer is also a one-off.” -

Source? Also, are these the ‘interactive’/‘smart-brick’ sets (ew! 🤮), or a continuation of the 2024 jungle subtheme? If the latter, it would be nice to get updates of Pippin Reed and/or Dr. Kilroy (and maybe even Harry Cane, since the torso from the biplane soapbox racer is a good match for him!), though I would be happy with just getting more animals and vehicles (maybe a larger boat (possibly an airboat), a smaller helicopter, etc), as well as a jungle-fied version of this torso. Where are you seeing this, or are you just speculating? Even if these are the only two Arctic sets for 2025, I would actually be OK with that - I like that LEGO has been making the exploration subthemes (Arctic, Jungle, Space, etc) as cohesive year-to-year as police and fire have been! In addition to a Space follow-up, a couple of Arctic follow-ups, (maybe) a couple of Jungle follow-ups, I am wondering if we will get a main exploration subtheme in 2025 (and if so, what it will be). I am leaning towards Underwater, since there is a submarine with a new colour-scheme and logo in the helicopter/fire truck/submarine modular mix-and-match set. Orca calf and narwhal are a bit unlikely, since both of the sets are ground vehicles (rather than ships), though I can see a new walrus and/or some penguins appearing (and maybe even an arctic wolf, recolouring the CMF piece), along with a few reuses of the existing animals (polar bear/cub, seal/cub, etc). We might have a chance for aquatic animals if either set includes a boat, however.

LEGO Star Wars 2024 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!

I would personally like to see a removable exterior shell (at least for the fully-constructed half) with a Microscale interior and visible structural elements (such as the reactor core); a removable superlaser (separate from the shell) would also be nice! NO. A set based on R1/ANH/RotJ would inevitably have exclusive Minifigs (even just obscure officers like Bast or Romodi), and I shudder to think of what those BrickLink prices will be! I would much prefer to get a DSI conference room and/or DSII Emperor’s arrival diorama (if LEGO is just taking a break from them)! -

My thoughts exactly! Luke’s Landspeeder Mech! I would rather get a generic P1 officer (since we are missing all but the Commander in the current style!) before we start getting named characters; I also want a regular P1 Shiny in the set, as they are still exclusive to the blister pack! Maybe Clone armour Obi-Wan to round out the lineup? -

The point of a $1,000 Death Star (II?) is the model, so there may not even be any Minifigs! -

“So, Susan’s a Naughty Lister after all. . . I had hunch she was, but what does that make Eloise? If the Naughties need to outnumber the Nice Listers, there still may be two of them. We’ll see; Susan is the obvious lynch candidate for today, so we’ll see tomorrow if there’s another Naughty Lister around.” “Framer?” -
