  1. I'm afraid these pictures are probably not showing clones but real Lego. Just like the building plans, the pictures are stolen from the designers. They're probably counting on no-one bothering to sue in China...
  2. I'm afraid it looks like they have a black print on the arch...
  3. Does it come with a load of 1L beams? See bottom left of back of box. There's like 100 of them... https://www.promobricks.de/lego-technic-sommer-neuheiten-2020/103395/
  4. So beautifully sculpted! I'm wondering though about the front suspension: How can it compress without twisting any axles? Or is that on purpose to make it stiffer?
  5. More fun here: https://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/81402-impossible-lego/
  6. Brickset may not be the best source for inventories. As I understand, they copy inventories directly from TLG without change, even though they're known to be often incomplete. Better to check Rebrickable, which converges to completeness thanks to community corrections. https://rebrickable.com/sets/75979-1/hedwig/#parts https://rebrickable.com/sets/42102-1/mini-claas-xerion/#parts Following those links, parts occurring in at most 3 sets are marked as rare. Most of the parts you described are not rare, at least according to this definition.
  7. I think Rebrickable is the #1 place nowadays for listing and showcasing your MOC. They can host instructions upto 1GB. https://rebrickable.com/help/selling-premium-mocs/ Some MOCers have their instructions hosted and sold on Sellfy, which is then linked from Rebrickable.
  8. I notice for the first time that the front and rear diffs both transfer drive through 2x 20z -> 12z gears. Why this redundancy? Does it avoid gear skipping?
  9. Don't worry, I had a good laugh. Then again, thanks to my kids I've become a connoisseur of poop jokes...
  10. Also on topic, I for one would love to see a lime-black Bugatti Chiron. Personally, I was never convinced by the nose of 42083. Admittedly it's a very smoothly curved car and therefore especially challenging for Lego. But perhaps one can do a smoother job using the new mudguard as well as the new tapered curved panels for the hood? Hmmmm
  11. Niiice! But is the horseshoe supposed to light up on the real car?
  12. I think the year refers to year of introduction of the part design.
  13. Interesting! I was relying on Rebrickable, which counts only usage in sets. Has your friend checked whether they are genuine? (They should have Lego logo and part number somewhere on them.)
  14. I don't think the situation is bad at all. Let's see if I can compile a list of Technic parts missing in Lime. I might expand the list with rare / prohibitively expensive parts. 2L thin. This little fella will be missed indeed. 5L thin with axle holes. Surely workarounds will be possible. 7L thin. Not commonly used anyway, and rare in other colors too. 9L thick. This is a weird gap in the range of liftarms. But I'm confident workarounds will be possible in most cases. 6-4 bent. Seems like a big miss, but workarounds may be possible using the other bent liftarms, or this piece which has the same shape: A few other liftarms that are rarely used on the outside of MOCs anyway: , , , 5 x 11 panel straight and tapered. Workarounds using the 3 x 11 panel are conceivable. small 3 x 9 x 2 mudguard. Would be great to have, but it's relatively new, so let's hope for a bright future. 11 x 3 curved panel with extra pin holes. EDIT: they're available on BrickLink in Lime, and they appear genuine. We also have the smoother variant in Lime. 7 x 3 curved panel. This one will be missed. We have a great selection of Technic connectors in Lime. A few that are sometimes used decoratively and may be painful to go without: , , Bionicle wing. Popping up regularly in Technic MOCs, could be hard to work around. We do have a decent selection of Technic bricks in Lime. All lengths of flex axles are available in Lime, as well as the 10L ribbed hose. Other decorative elements often used in Technic MOCs, such as plates, tiles, wedges, and slopes also have a great selection in Lime. Beside the Sian, a great source of Lime Technic parts is the 8649 Nitro Menace, which may be worth picking up second-hand.
  15. But but... @Ngoc Nguyen started it! [Points finger and throws tantrum] But seriously, seems like there's room for a whole "OMG can we recolor this and that MOC in lime now?!!1" thread...
  16. Well I think it wouldn't be too hard to build @Jeroen Ottens's Toro Azzurro (a re-imagined Miura) in lime now. I hope also @JamesJT will redo his Miura in lime In general, total lack of transparent pieces in the Sian might make B-models challenging though. But maybe (probably) I just lack the imagination to use the Sian's pieces in more creative ways...
  17. Yeah I was wondering about the type of plastic too. I have a couple of these red parts: and they are noticeably darker than red liftarms, but also the plastic feels different, and not shiny like the liftarms.
  18. @OnyyX Thanks for the review, good read while still waiting for mine...
  19. Count me interested! My favorite little detail is the usage of the "Bionicle tooth" to finish the triangle implied by the new tapered panels. So obvious in hindsight, but a true "aha" moment when I first spotted it in this photo! 100% agreed. But my guess (and hope!) is we'll be seeing a topic soon enough, as well as an entry on Rebrickable.
  20. Right, I had seen the review, but it only mentions the motors as having teal parts, not the other bricks. I never imagined TLG would mix teal and green though....
  21. Do you have a source that says dark turquoise? The photo looks like regular green to me...
  22. I assume you must be appalled by the 36t gear...
  23. This is an assertion I haven't seen before (or just missed). Do you know the reason why the red 16t clutch gears increase friction?
