Nationalization means to bring two or more things under a single force. It was a term used in Britain in 1948 when the Great Western Railway (GWR), the London Midlands and Scottish Railway (LMS), London and Notheastern Railway (LNER) and Southern Railway (SR) all came together to form British Railways (BR). However, I use that term simply because from my perspective, it just fits in the case of the system with Lego City.

@MAB @icm For me personally, with that being said about police, I would also nationalize the expedition sets too.....since that's what we do anyway. Explorers (space, arctic, mine, jungle, volcano and deep sea)

The In/Out sets should be transport related sets. May not happen, but we can dream. -

Yes Sir, they are amazing! Riaan is a master. Those are his. If City were planning to make a line of 16+ sets, they'd need his help. It could happen. Don't underestimate Lego.
-
Yo! My dude Riaan made these. He's a great builder. Lego City 16+ anyone?

LEGO 40th anniversary classic train
Driver Brandon Grumman replied to AMD's topic in LEGO Train Tech
I know someone who had something like that. He just has it displayed though. -
You bring up a lot of good points there, especially when it comes to points two and four. The printed headlights was most definately the worse part of the vehicles of that era. That fire truck that you just showed would of course be used as a 4+ set. They should've actually released that one, but only with actual headlight pieces instead of printed headlights. The last point you brought up was comparing that fire truck to the downtown fire brigade. So...then there are the present day updated versions of 90s town sets. 60183 and 6357 are prime examples. They may have been named differently, but they were basically the same exact set. The only difference is that it's a present day version. This was one of my favorite town sets; the TV Chopper. I kept that thing together until 2005 when the parts got lost. I was excited in 2015, when it came back as a part of the 60097 City Square set.

Whoa nice

For some reason, the current police station sorta reminds me of the one from 2000. Then the monster truck heist kinda gives me vibes to this set. Tuning shop? Service Station? Race Cars? Though this one wasn't Town Jr. Just a promotional set for Shell. I'm not complaining. I'm just making observations. Tbh, these sets actually give me nostalgia.

Welp! Looks like you guys got what you wanted as far as City is concerned. For small boxed vehicles, you get printed pieces instead of stickers.
-
We better not underestimate City. I remember saying the same thing about another automotive subtheme and look at what City has now.
-
Now that's my type of Lego creation.

LEGO City 2020 - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
Driver Brandon Grumman replied to Digger of Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
I'm picking up 60246. I think there is some room for that one in my town. Though I may still pick up that brick box and use that building as a small precinct where rookies are sent to begin their law enforcement careers. Yeah! That one was kind of a let down for me as I did expect something similar to 60108 - only with a squeezing water canon like the one in 60214 and 60216. If not the one from 60108, perhaps something similar to the small helicopter in 60216. But I didn't expect for Lego to merge the Ninjago universe with City. City helicopters are supposed to be built, like the one in 60243. City is overpriced in my opinion. -
@Chilis You've got OCD too. Same here. Let's just say, that's why when I build MOCs, it has to look as though it were an actual set. That's why my buildings are simply, yet detailed.

LEGO City 2020 - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion

I do have to agree. I'll take it as many people packs as possible. So far, I have every people pack that has ever been released to Lego City, even the space one. My city needs people to live on it after all. I'm making a present day version of Lego Island - though I think Lego City is just that. Sorry, but I'm holding onto my theory on that. -
That was what I thought of when looking at my unopened sets. Just noticed that I had an unopened burger bar set. Used the pieces from that and the monster burger truck to make my own burger truck.

Just ordered my first Bricklink haul. Its a bunch of animal moulds.

Whoa! That's neat dude.

We're fans! Of course we take it seriously. Though I do have to admit that some folks don't get Lego humor.

LEGO City 2020 - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
Driver Brandon Grumman replied to Digger of Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
I'll do that. -
That's understandable. Where I live, medics usually work along the firefighters. But anyway, Medical subtheme for 2021 anyone? They did that from 2017 to 2019. But they really should've kept it that way. If it were up to me, they'd have a picture of a certain picture at the top corner of the boxes to determine what subtheme is which. Like a badge for Police, a flame for Fire, a house next to some kind of office for Town or a steering wheel for Great Vehicles similar to how they have it on the website. I guess I stand corrected on that one.

LEGO City 2020 - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
Driver Brandon Grumman replied to Digger of Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
No need to sound hostile. I mean...it just came out in 2018. I'm with you there on the police cars and fire trucks. But Besides the little platform that usually comes with the passenger trains, I haven't seen a train station in ages. -
Latest news about Lego animal moulds
Driver Brandon Grumman replied to Roebuck's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Personally, I think animal moulds are much better than build it yourself animals. They're just easier to use. They should put some of these goats in like a mountain explorers subtheme or something. I'm surprised I didn't see any in the 2018 police wave that took place in the mountains.- 5,901 replies
