I've noticed that City doesn't have a fixed transit system. I'm pretty sure there is room for one considering that they've got a fixed beverage company (VitaRush), a fixed oil company (Octan), a fixed distribution agency (Cargo) and their own pizza chain (City Pizza). Maybe it could be called.....Brick Transit? Livery? Blue and orange. This one is more on a grey scale rather than a "will happen" or "won't happen" type of subtheme for City. Maybe it could be a winter 2021 release alongside next year's police and great vehicle waves. I know one thing, they'll have to do a very good action packed backstory or mini movie to push these if Lego wants them to sell. Subtheme Idea: Public Transport Driver Training - Includes blue mini bus, bus stop and two cones Shuttle Service - Includes blue shuttle bus with bus stop Highway Express - Includes blue coach bus with bus stop. City Bus - Includes blue city bus with bus stop Articulated Bus - Includes blue articulated bus with bus stop Rapid Transit Train - Includes blue rapid transit train, oval track layout and platfom Streetcar - Includes blue streetcar with oval track layout and platform New Characters Introduced: Brandon Transitwell - a young bus driver Gertrude Von Breda - a subway and streetcar operator who is from Germany Sir Alexander Dennis- the head of the transit company

Summer 2020 City sets have already been revealed and trains is under that one now. So I highly doubt it.

Rapid Transit anyone?

How big is the LEGO community?

This is pure speculation AFOLs - 10% KFOLs - 70% TFOLs - 20% -
Yeah! That is true. The ones here in DC are silver and black. I'd recommend a similar shape to the one in my area, but I think molding the shape would be a bit hard and expensive. Maybe something similar to New York City would be better. Silver seems to be a great choice for a rapid transit train.

Now this is something I'd definitely buy from City if they were to make something similar. Only I think a rapid transit train would look better in blue than red. They should make it push along so that there is more playability.

Yeah! The monster burger truck doesn't really fit. Even if I remove the big tires, I still have eight stud wide to content with.

Finally someone else other than me acknowledges the TFOL side. I think a lot of us often forget that side. Lego seems to cater a lot to them too, thus themes like DC, Ninjago and Chima. -

2020 City was in your face out there at the store I go to. Everything is in your face. The one I go to is in a mall so its medium sized, but it's an opened space. I have some of those too. I had to get those for my Chinatown in my City. That could be true. I wonder how high the percentage for AFOLs is compared to how it was last year. -

@TeriXeri Tbh, I'm beginning to question my own philosophy about City being the most popular theme from Lego. I went to my local Lego store today and the City section was as empty as the northern frontier. Maybe it was just bad timing, but children seemed to be more into the more action packed themes like Chima and Ninjago. But if only you lived in the states. Man, they took over the modular section at the store I went to on the 3rd of January. That bookstore sold like hotcakes. -

@Maple @TeriXeri I hope one of those airports is similar to the one from 2016. As for the police station, you've also got the police station from the brick box. So they basically gave us two police stations this year. -
Exactly! I have the pizza van too. That one basically acts as the pizzeria for my town. I would recommend that Lego favors food trucks over stationary restaurants for City just so I could see more food trucks, but I think other people would be pissed. I also have the ice cream truck, though I had to switch the serving window to the other side so it could fit my town just right. I'm pretty conflicted myself on it. I'm wondering where it would fit. Maybe if I were to build a live safari exhibition in my town, it would fit. I might try that.

Yeah! Like a WHALE. Tbh, I can give the marine sets a chance. My cousin is an ex sailor so he'll be excited to get sets centered around his line of work. So......that's the one that's $50? -

@TeriXeri @Digger of Bricks As long as the City theme exists....from the 2010s onwards, we can gurantee a few things. Police - surroundings may change, but the story stays the same! BORING!!!!!! Great Vehicles - those are actually interesting. Especially the ones in 2020 Explorers or Expedition - guaranteed since 2014. However, they were still technically town subthemes back during the 90s and early 2000s. So I kinda understand why they are here. Nothing New or Interesting - unless it has to do with the environment that the police are working in - the objective is still the same, what natural resources the explorers are studying, some great vehicles, the town sets and the annual mega sets -

I wouldn't say its boring! But it isn't really interesting as its marketed as just another explorer's theme. Its actually called Ocean Explorers according to Brickfans.com. They actually brought it back early. For the past few airport waves, they've released them every five years. Its only been four since the last airport wave, which was in 2016. -

Oh wow! I thought airport wasn't supposed to be back until next year along with coast guard. I guess my calculations were wrong. Disappointment intensifies. I was kinda hoping to see a Harbor or a construction site or something else that would utilize the new magnet piece. I guess I should've really been prepared. But honestly? Another explorers theme? It seems like City is too repetitive. -
