  1. @Grover, @mrcp6d, thank you so much for all the links and information! I had indeed missed some of the topics you linked...Time to read them now!
  2. Hmm...I am somewhat divided over this leaked minifig. I'm disappointed by the lack of print on the torso, even if it's hidden under a poncho - Series 19 Frightening Knight after all had chainmail hidden under her armor. Yet I really enjoy the cute piñata piece, and the poncho itself may look great.
  3. Very nice! The wall looks really great, and so do the lush vegetation. And the minifig's happy expressions really add to the mood.
  4. How beautiful! The color palette is perfectly composed and the builds look great. And I really love all those details such as the owl or the sand green patches on the walls...
  5. Probably not, except if it has a dual print : it seems to be CMF Cat Costume Girl's head (bricklink ID 3626cpb2084). This is not the bright light yellow at the bottom right of @Broke4Bricks's photo : the photographed one corresponds to bricklink ID 29633 and, as far as I know, is indeed BAM exclusive in this color. The hat you mention is part of the CMF Series 9 Policeman minifig, and it is not the one on @Broke4Bricks's photo : it has a molded badge (whereas the one of the photo is printed only) and a black visor (whereas the one of the photo is blue). However, the photographed police hat may be the one with bricklink ID 15530pb01 (hard to tell on the BL photo if it has a black visor or if it's just a shadow). I don't own this particular magnet, but all the magnet minifigs I have are glued. BAM thus seem to be the only way to get useable magenta legs. Not sure it this is a BAM exclusive or a bricklink inventory error. It strongly resembles Jafar's torso (ID 973pb3519c01) and the bricklink photo does not allow to see if it has a back print or not. Do you own this torso with a plain back?
  6. While doodling some minifigs yesterday, I realised how little I know about our Queen. I saw on @Henjin_Quilones and @Grover's MOCs that she has freckles and dark red hair, but are there other rules to follow if one wants to depict her? Are there "official" colors for royal garb? Or, on contrary, colors or patterns that would not be suitable for her? What does her banner look like? Sorry if this is clearly stated somewhere, I searched but did not find…
  7. @Louis of Nutwood Skol! Thank you very much, I'm really glad you enjoyed the fig - and hope they could indeed be useful when other Mitgardians would like to populate their MOCs…
  8. @soccerkid6 Thank you very much for his insightful comment! I'm glad you like the trees and that you noticed the mouse...
  9. @Broke4Bricks Thank you! This is really useful! @Roebuck There are a few color differences between those CMF parts and their BAM counterparts : - the CMF Battledwarf's hammer is pearl dark grey while the BAM hammer is light grey, - the CMF Wizard's hat is blue with a gold moon while the BAM wizard hat is dark blue with a silver moon, - the CMF Wacky Witch's face has green makeup while the BAM witch face has magenta makeup, - Winter Village Mrs Claus' skirt is red while the BAM skirt is dark green, - the CMF Spider Lady's dress has a red pattern while the BAM spider dress has a magenta pattern. I know less about non-fantasy parts, but there may be similar differences.
  10. This serie is awesome! If only TLG woulld be as inspired as you are with animals and prints... I'd definitely buy a whole army of park rangers, shepherds, centaurs and storytellers!
  11. Yes! This is everywhere on Instagram, I hope it' confirmed! And I also hope it will be a new centaur mould instead of the one from the Trolls set, which really looks too cartoonish for my taste.
  12. Rumors in the Action & Adventure forum speculate about the "Leaf" theme being based on the Chinese story of the Journey to the West - like the CMF Series 19 Monkey King. The leaked blue bigfig and a "Monkey Kid" trademark filed by TLG support this assumption. While more fantasy than historical, this may bring us interesting architectural elements and/or minifig accessories?
  13. Just like previous commenters, I really like the Stream banks and the brick-built ox. Very enjoyable build, and very enjoyable story!
  14. @Grover As far as my search capabilities go, BAM Ice Guy's head and torso don't seem to be listed on BrickLink yet. I looked for their ID on my parts, but couldn't fint it either : isn't the part number supposed to be engraved somewhere on torsos and heads too? Or is it only on regular bricks?
  15. @Broke4Bricks That's a very interesting list, thank you! There are two parts in the shots that don't seem to be BAM-exclusives : - The black torso with a skull and dual-molded arms also comes with CMF Serie 16 Spooky Boy, - The printed white skirt piece also comes with Princess Leia from the Tantive IV set. You could also add the following parts to the list of exclusives : The orange and black pigtails The orange legs with bat and pumpkin print The black terrier dog The dark bluish grey cat with pink nose
  16. @jonwil Not enough to make accurate statistics, but here are the time facts for the three orders I placed in january : the one placed on the 7th was shipped on the 20th, the one placed on the 14th was shipped on the 24th, and the one placed on the 17th is still in warehouse.
  17. @The Stad Thank you very much for all those point to think about! I have thought of the overall appearance and use of the hall, but a more precise idea of its functions will indeed be necessary to plan the spaces. Your comment about scale and proxemics is very thought-proviking too - I never asked myself such a question, and the answer seems to be quite complex given the discussions on this topic. @Kai NRG, @Grover, @Eoin Wallace and @zoth33, thank you very much for your support. I hope you'll enjoy the process!
  18. @Robert8 Thank you very much!
  19. Chapter 1 - What could it look like? Next OK, so I want to build a mead hall. Which means a place to hold hearings, and formally receive visitors. And also a place for all villagers to gather and feast for weddings, victories, or any other pretext they can find. Thus it should be a rather large and dignified building - but neither too large nor too dignified, as Horgaard is just a small village. And, being in Mitgardia, it should feature a distinctively norse-inspired architecture. But just saying that doesn't really help me picture it more precisely. Fortunately, norse-inspired fantasy visuals are everywhere. A mere google search returns dozens of different mead hall styles, ranging from simple longhouses to elaborate stave church lookalikes. So I gathered inspirational pictures in an ArtStation collection, and tried to identify the color palette I'll go for and sketch a few architectural elements.
  20. Introduction : Sigrid's journal "We were called to a meeting with the other village leaders yesterday. Jarl Elisif wanted us all to know about the victory at the Enchanted Forest. Of course, the word had already spread, and everyone was already talking about how Jarl Thimolir's bear cavalry saved the day. After months of tensions, even the most ardent sceptics now seem to veer to the side of the Queen. And that's great news. Instead of worrying about a possible war, we can now hope for peace. Instead of focusing on arming and training our people, I can now step back and also plan for the long term. It's time to rebuild Horgaard." In order to assist my sigfig's efforts to rebuild her village, I'm going to build a mead hall. And given that this is the first time I'll build such a MOC, I expect a lot of thinking, a lot of trial and error, and a lot of time. During the months by the housewarming hallwarming party, here is the thread where I'll track the progress of the construction and all the thinking behind. History Chapter 1. What could it look like? Chapter 2. Of roofs and doors Chapter 3. Woodworking Chapter 4. Construction delays Current state
  21. @Puvel and @The Stad Thank you very much for your thougthful comments!
  22. @Exetrius If you have the courage to compile them, it would be really useful! I also noticed only this morning that the braided bun in medium nougat is now available on B&P for a rather low price. Nice surprise, as there are very expensive and scarce on BL!
  23. @derEselausErgste Thank you!
  24. So many great guys in there! I especially like the Medieval-Fantasy Warrior - his torso-leg-armor combo is absolutely perfect. Cavernis and Racha'on from the Divine Beauties would be just next on my podium.
