  1. The Hocus Pocus Cottage released last year in July, so I think this July is a pretty safe bet for another Halloween themed Ideas release. The telephone booth from the same review wave is coming in February, so it’ll definitely be ready by then too!
  2. Oh sweet, always fun to have a wildcard wave out there! The big 2024 movies that feel like the most likely candidates to me are probably Despicable Me 4 and that new Ghostbusters.
  3. Neat, actual news! Let’s take this as an opportunity to move on from whatever the heck all the Nazi discourse was. Regardless, it looks like the seller is from Norway and is also selling a bunch of other one of a kind misprints; probably assembly line snags like we were seeing with Cody earlier this year. I wonder if there’s a chance of any of the figs surfacing…I secretly hope they don’t because seeing a Short Round fig that I’ll never be able to own might break my heart.
  4. More of a Fortnite question than a Lego question, but this seems like a relevant place to ask it: Have they clarified whether any of the IP-based skins are getting the Lego treatment? I heard they're all ineligible to play with in the Lego mode for the time being, but have they outright confirmed that they're all being locked out of the mode entirely? Never played Fortnite in my life, I just need some closure on whether there's a even a minuscule chance of us seeing Metal Gear, Street Fighter, or Resident Evil minifigures. Even if they're just digital, seeing a Solid Snake minifig would make me the happiest person on the planet. Aside from Falcon Fan confirming that it won't be an early 2024 release, next to no info on the Zelda front :( Unless some news breaks in the next couple moths or we start seeing some of the other leaked sets begin to get release dates, even a summer release is beginning to feel a bit unlikely at this point (plus, they're probably going to want to give Fortnite the spotlight for a while).
  5. How iconic, supported! Love the part usage of the hair pieces for the bushes.
  6. Hey, did anything ever become of that Lego Gaming logo/theme leak from way back a few years ago? I don’t ever remember seeing this pop up anywhere (and we definitely didn’t get the Games them I think a lot of us were expecting), but weirdly enough I noticed recently that at a completely different logo is used in a few places on LEGO’s current website.
  7. Haha yeah, between that mushroom cap and the new Wish star piece, we’ll be building a bootleg mushroom kingdom in no time.
  8. At this rate they’re gonna run out of modern characters sooner or later, but I guess it really depends on the direction the theme takes from here.
  9. RIP the best new theme of the year, gone but not forgotten. The plane chase and tomb escape seriously might be two of the best licensed play-theme sets we’ve gotten in years, and the idol temple is absolute peak for the 18+ dioramas. Here’s to hoping that Lego hears our cries and releases an 18+ grail temple or takes another swing at the temple of doom sometime in the next decade and a half.
  10. These are overall pretty good! Definitely room for improvement in the next wave, but there are also definitely some great builds here! My only major gripe is that the $80 set has only two figs. Yikes. Either way, I’m super excited to see the layouts everyone is gonna build!
  11. Rumor has it the Batman TAS set from the survey leak is going to be a bit different from the image we saw leak out back in February. I can’t help but wonder if the Deku Tree might’ve also gotten a facelift during that time too. This was a pretty rare situation where the designers were able to hear fan feedback over a year before the set is supposed to hit shelves, so maybe they even took some of our ramblings from over the past few months into account!
  12. I’m a teeney bit worried about the builds. Like, yeah Animal Crossing has a pretty simple art style… but not that simple! If we just get flat facades rather than semi-dollhouse style builds of these locations I’m going to be a bit disappointed (even though these are probably going to be more kid-oriented like Mario). I also might be in the minority here, but I kinda hope we don’t get a CMF. These figs are already top-notch and I feel like a CMF series couldn’t really contribute anything that we wouldn’t just get eventually. Plus, I can think of a certain plumber that’s probably more deserving and has been waiting his turn for a few years now 🍄 Overall the hype for this line is unreal, this could be a long lasting theme if they play their cards right. Excited to see what they come up with!
  13. I don’t wanna get your hopes up, but Splatoon, Zelda, and Animal Crossing were all blocked from Lego Ideas last summer while other Nintendo properties like Metroid and Pikmin are still available today. We know they’ve for sure got plans for Animal Crossing and Zelda, so I don’t think it’s too far fetched to guess they’re at least interested in doing something with Splatoon. Just speculation though, of course.
  14. Nice! At first I was a bit bummed since it doesn’t look like it moves at all, but honestly it’s hard to get upset with this good of a build! Also, official pics make it look like it might be a coin bank too? I guess 2023 is just the year of 18+ piggy banks then.
  15. I think it’s more likely that we’d get another curveball one off PlayStation set rather than just another Horizon animal. The consensus (at least among fans) is that the Tallneck sold well because it was unique and reasonably priced, and a $350 Tremortusk might just prove that Lego learned the wrong lesson from the Tallneck’s success.
  16. That’s a fair point, you’ve really gotta think like a boardroom exec with these things
  17. Ok, regardless of what the future holds for Lego Mario, we riot if this new piece doesn't get reprinted as a Luma.
  18. Nobody’s too sure at this point. There was a while where it really looked like it was either changing to minifigures or getting outright replaced by Sonic, but everything about this theme is currently surrounded by a whole lot of uncertainty.
  19. Brick Clicker just confirmed it, looks like this is actually happening! This might be my new most anticipated theme, fingers crossed they’re not going to try to shoehorn an obtrusive play feature into it.
  20. Man I wish. Crash 2 and Spyro were the first games I ever played, but Activision-Blizzard aside I wouldn’t exactly say either franchise is exactly thriving at the moment. But who knows, maybe a few years down the line the stars will align like they did for Horizon or Overwatch.
  21. So it looks like that mystery 18+ set is a big piranha plant. Sounds neat, I hope there’s a feature that makes it open and close its mouth and go in and out of a pipe. That honestly might even be the deal breaker for me unless the build is amazing.
  22. Spyro and Crash are both banned on Ideas unfortunately…I think it’s because Lego doesn’t want to work with Activision-Blizzard again.
  23. Usually in September-October, but since there were so many projects this time it’s probably going to be later.
  24. Don’t know if this info was already out there, but Brick Clicker just said that the 18+ set has 540 pieces.
