  1. Love your username. Last summer I bought a T8.390... Thanks! Are you referring to the tractor? On a different note, even more fearsome than that would be the giant banana monster from ‘Don’t Shoot!’
  2. Two Horned Proboscis Banana Monsters With Overbites
  3. I do indeed! As @LEGO Train 12 Volts said, the scale is great. I love to see MOCs that are just the right scale for minifigures whilst also being big enough to include all those little details! I especially love the SNOT work on the shovel!
  4. Ah, thanks for your help, that makes a little more sense. I didn’t realise Brick Bank contained it as it’s not mentioned on Brickset. I wish TLG, Brickset and Bricklink would differentiate between them a bit more clearly - I’ve just had to keep ordering 2546 until I got four of one type. Thanks for solving the mystery
  5. Nice MOC! I love the combination of the two styles, it looks great. The dome on the roof also reminds me a bit of Norman Foster's Reichstag dome. I love the colour scheme too, particularly the title hints of gold and dark blue! Great train too. Supported on LEGO Ideas Wait, last design??? Do you just mean latest design, or are you suggesting it's your final project for awhile?! That's what I thought too - I hope it's just a typo...
  6. Hi everyone, I've been building Café Corner recently, but I came across a strange issue regarding parrots. I ordered 4 x 2546 in dark bluish grey from BL and all seemed fine. But when I received the parts I noticed some differences between them (see below). With some research I soon became aware of the difference between 2546 and 27062. However, the seller had listed the parrots as 2546, and when I looked on BL I couldn't find any listings for 27062 in dbg, nor could I find any mention of the part on Brickset. Does anybody know where this part originates from or why it isn't listed on either site? Many thanks in advance!
  7. An interesting topic... I was unaware of that difference, but I've had a few 30663s break it the past so I can see why TLG updated it. I've had no problems with the bicycle pieces before though, so I don't really understand why they changed it, it looks to be like it would only make the bicycle weaker... That brings to mind trying to shop for 15573 or 3794 ... It really is quite frustrating when sellers list them as "undetermined type." I wish BL would do more about it...
  8. How about People at the LEGO convention? With special AFOL minifigs
  9. No problem! Good luck with your MOC!
  10. When I start a modular building MOC, I usually like to sketch out the general façade and identify which bricks I could use for certain sections - sometimes I also make tablescraps to come up with ideas, particularly the little details - they're harder to come up with on LDD. Ideally, I would then go straight into bricks but my collection is quite small, so I tend to use LDD to make it first. I start with a general façade and add the floors second, then the walls. I often just build and rebuild stuff until it looks just right. When I do build in bricks, I find it's a lot easier as you can change things much more quickly. Also, what may seem like a great idea on LDD may not be structurally strong with real bricks (I learnt this the hard way!), so I would recommend always taking this into consideration if building with CAD. Personally, I'd resort to custom stickers for details like this, but I know many people are against this... Since I normally build from my imagination, though, I tend to use brick built SNOT techniques or just plain walls. (@snaillad has some great techniques in some of his MOCs; you should check them out for inspiration!) Depending on the gradient of the slope, BURPs or LURPs could be useful, if not I'd use slopes for rocky terrain or lots of plates if it's more smooth. Good luck with your MOC - do post pictures of it when it's built! Hope that helps
  11. Considering it's labelled 'pending 24' I wouldn't be surprised if that's is a temporary price, particularly since we haven't heard anything else about a set that size. It also seems to be Australian specific, as it's listed as being from 'Miranda, NSW, Australia', and I couldn't find it on UK eBay. I also couldn't find any links between TLG and the town of Miranda - the mystery deepens
  12. That’s not actually so unlikely, considering the recent creator expert DB5. But Spectre did have a scene with ‘sexual nature’ and the old ones are pretty sexist, which would definitely fall outside TLGs scope of acceptable themes...
  13. I doubt they would. Plus, modulars are normally released in January, so I doubt one would be listed already. Also, AS was special due to it being an anniversary set. But I do wish it was a massive modular...
  14. Surely if kids want Trolls World Tour, kids should get Trolls World Tour... Personally I think that any theme is justified if TLG profits from it. To stay in the market, they have to keep to the current trends. I'm not saying Trolls will be profitable; only time will tell, but perhaps we should embrace the decisions that TLG make, even if some themes might not be as successful as planned or as interesting for AFOLs... I like @Peppermint_M's positive attitude
  15. It'd be nice if we got a customisable set at some point. Some sort of SC equivalent of Go Brick Me.
  16. 75252 was rumoured to be a 4782 piece SW set. I don't know if there's much evidence for that though, and that still wouldn't be enough to justify such a huge price. Were those sets listed as being sold by TLG themselves, or by a second hand seller? In regards to your original question, I'd like to see something a little more flexible for larger sets in the future. Perhaps a Creator Expert vehicle that could be converted into a smaller modular, or something like that, although I don't quite know how that would work considering the differences in the type of part used.
  17. That ship is a great build, you've captured a lot of detail at such a small scale. 'Sarah' is my favourite though!
  18. I love the way you've built the Guggenheim; it's a lovely building and you've really portrayed it well. The inclusion of the fosterito is a brilliant touch too!
  19. Nice job! I love the flooring and the pastel colour scheme. I saw your MOCs on Flickr a while ago, before I joined EB, and I was in awe of your eye for detail. I can't wait to see the next one!
  20. Brilliant model - I've supported it on ideas. I love all the little details and the colour scheme is perfect. I especially like the lettering and the shoulder harnesses. Good luck on ideas!
  21. Love the roof, it'd be great to see that on a larger scale! Great MOC
