  1. I got lucky browsing ebay last weekend during a very slow night shift (the perks of working from home) and found a nearby seller with some good deals: while we wait for the AT-TE to come my separatist army grew with the addition of 7748 Tank Droid, 75040 Wheelbike and 75085 Hailfire Droid, all complete with minfigs. Also my friends gifted me the 75329 Trench Run diorama for my birthday, which I wasn't thinking of getting but am now looking forward to build :)
  2. Day 60 since I started checking daily of the Clone Accessory Pack being out of stock on the italian site, and 3hrs for the Republic Tank to go from available to backorder, shipped in 60 days (ironic, isn't it?). Luckily none of the promos interested me, but I guess this means no double VIP points for me.
  3. That minimalist LAAT Gunship is perfect, and I suppose the quarter-circles on studs are supposed to be the deployed command posts where we see Yoda operate?
  4. Just a head's up, a set list in spanish promising a full Kenobi wave just appeared on the usual place, promising six sets (Inquisitor fortress 100$, Inquisitor ship 80$, Lars Homestead 60$, Escape from Dyo 50$, Imperial Judgment -an imperial ship- 40$ and Tatooine Transport 30$). The posters are new accounts, so I wouldn't trust it one bit, but expect it to go around for the next couple of weeks.
  5. Between the discount and the 20 EUR coupon I had I paid 35 instead of 70 EUR. Had I thought about it I could have nabbed the other one on shelf for a total of 90 EUR instead of 140 and recouped more than a bit on BL, but alas I just wanted the one and feel extremely lucky about the circumstances. Of course karma had to balance somehow, so of course the Clone BP/accessory pack went out of stock (again) on S@H the moment the Jane Goodall promo came out, so I'll have to place another order sooner or later (I prefer to shop locally and if possible not on day 1 or at RRP). Even then 120 is quite the threshold, so I welcomed to my collection another Snowtrooper BP, the Dark Trooper set, Hoth Rebels BP among other things such as the first Speed Champions set I bought for me instead of my brother.
  6. Hello there! I'm a bit late to the party, but still wanted to congratulate you on a job well done, the whole wave is terrific. Here's some scattered comments - My favorite by far is the AT-TE, even if it looks a bit shorter than what I'm used to the fact that it has a functional interior is a wonder on its own. - That Crab Droid makes me want to buy multiple of them, and its scale brings me back to 2005 and the ROTS tie-in videogame. - Good job on the microfighters, in particular that ewok glider and the wing mechanism on the Slave I Boba Fett's Starship. I also like how the guns are on technic pins and could also be moved to the landed position. - The midi-X-Wing in the temple set makes me think of the original 1999 one and the whole set is a good compromise without having to go to MBS scale. - Uncertain on the ball joints for the B-Wing, but from what I can see it doesn't seem there could have been another solution, that said the rest of the ship looks perfect. - The duel makes me wish for a return of Rebels sets and the Wheelbike chase goes perfectly with the droid BP (and makes me feel stupid for not caving in and buy the overpriced Mace+Grievous set from a couple of years back, since I don't know when we will see him again in a low-price point set). Again, kudos for the wave, the wait has definitely been worth it.
  7. My only gripe is that 18.1 could have been the infamous "Force kick" with Boba flying haplessly in the background :D Anyway, wonderful work, as always
  8. Finally found the 75316 Gauntlet Starfighter at a nearby store across the border and bought it for half the RRP thanks to a combination of coupons and a flash 22% off on all Lego for a couple of days :) Very happy with both the build and what I paid for it, love the figures but now I really want a Satine minifig too
  9. I haven't bought a videogame since ca 2007, but I'm afraid they had me at the dancing Bantha.
  10. "And so it begins" :D :D :D Jokes notwithstanding that's a really nice conversion and the superlaser dish looks very well integrated
  11. Fell for the Snowtrooper BP, although it was tough seeing that price tag paired with a box of that size, on one hand I'm grateful they did not inflate the box size to make it more "20$/€ worthy" (looking at you, Duel on Mandalore), thus consuming less cardboard, but still it felt so small for that price. I guess they're not banking on it being an impulse buy from casual fans of LEGO and/or SW. That said, love the figures, the new stud-shooter works fine but is uglier than a Rancor's behind (but at least it can be taken off without much of a problem) and I'm frustrated on how the speeder bike traded fixing one issue from the 75288 design for going a step back on a solved one. And I guess I'll have to wait for the Accessory packs to get back in stock at S@H, seeing as they were already out by the 2nd.
  12. That torso fits quite well, I should look into it to upgrade it from the old Adventurers one I'm currently using. Not sold on the face, though, I prefer my choice of the darker bearded resistance trooper from the ski-speeder microfighter
  13. Not interested in the BB shuttle per se but they usually have nice discounts across their range, I think a visit to the one in Kp is in order for the next time I cross the border, thanks for the info :)
  14. That was a nice catch, I BL'd the parts for the Tie Advanced last year, figuring that 2 A-Wings were more than enough for my collection, but I still regret not buying Tarkin and Sabine to save on the cost
  15. Now that I can see them clearly I love that they fixed the attachment of the steering vanes on the speeder bike compared to the 2020 version, but I find myself surprisingly disappointed that they again had to offset the megaphone piece standing in for the power-cell to make space for the blaster when finally after 20+ years they managed to put it on the underside. Still I'm sure I'll grab at least one, although that price increase feels unjustified now that I can finally see the product. The AT-ST, while surely an interesting variant, is an easy pass for me. I'm quite happy with my RO version and this one does not call to me as other "repeats" did in the past, although I'm happy for all the people clamoring for a snowy Chewbacca.
  16. That's a really nice crab droid and now you've made me want to look for my copy of Metroid Fusion and GBA :D
  17. I always enjoy seeing different takes on this set as I also agree that the builds were quite a bit oversized to my taste. I particularly like the shorter BARC Speeders (I kept the 10-slope at the front on mine while trying to shave off some length but they still feel a bit too big) and the feet on the AT-RTs. The only thing that remains to do is see if you can build something with the remaining parts :)
  18. First of all I would love to see the results when the builds are done, although I never tried microscale I've always admired this kind of build :) For the PT/CW era I would also recommend Kashyyyk to add some greenery, although if you have/plan to do an Endor build it could be redundant, same as the Geonosis/Tattooine similarity - even if Geonosis could be done a bit redder. If not Felucia could be an interesting choice if you want to get weird with the colours. Other ideas are the domed cities of Mandalore (but then again a bit grey) or Umbara if you want to go a bit darker with the palette. I unfortunately have nothing for the sequel era, I don't much enjoy/remember them and as you stated there is little variation between desert/white/maybe some jungle, but following on the Scarif suggestion (which I also endorse) I see potential in Solo, with Corellia -grey, yes, but could be different with the addition of water and the docks/shipyards- and the train-heist on Vandor -white, but the mountains bring more elevation than Hoth and having a microscale monorail going through them could be an interesting build. Hope you find the suggestions useful :)
  19. I love the look of the tank, very clean and detailed while maintaining the right scale. Also very curious about the setting of a planet with yellow and lilac flora
  20. The store nearby was having its annual "birthday weekend" with everything 25% off, so it seemed the right moment to get the Arquitens and an imperial Marauder, for good measure. Also, PSA for any member in or close enough to Italy, the promotion should be nationwide and until the 25th for every store in the Toys Center franchise.
  21. The Forge I added to my B&P order arrived today, now I only need to sort out my space issue before I open it
  22. Here's my take on this, I tried to stay on the plausible side, but fell heavily on the wishlistng by the end :D Micro1 Snowspeeder - Obligatory Snowspeeder, but hey, at least it may be to scale with the UCS AT-AT :D Comes with a return of the 2014-18 cold-gear pilot suit and someone like Hobbie Klivian or Wes Janson to make us buy it, as they did with Wedge in the 4+ one. Micro2 Slave I - I'm still confused as to why this was not made yet, your choice on the version/fig, maybe Jango, Boba, Fennec, post-Sarlacc Boba, Repaint Boba, Monk Boba... 2pack Double choice here: A. Ewok glider vs AT-ST - comes with one Ewok, maybe named, and a pilot for the walker / B. Kaadu vs MTT - Brickbuilt Kaadu with Jar Jar or any Gungan and a droid-piloted small MTT with an opening hatch revealing -surprise!- another droid. BP1 Battle Droid BP - It's been years since the last one and it ties in with my heavy wishlisting exposed in the second option, comes with 2 B2 battle droids, 4 B1 and a brick-built dispenser fitting at least a couple of the B1s. BP2 Delta Squad - Yes, I enjoyed the Bad Batch, but the use of the sound effects from the Republic Commando game cemented my opinion that it could have been them, and I would have loved it even more :D Comes with a Wookiee turret based on the Kashyyyk level and one or two brickbuilt Scavenger droids, although it's been 15 years and I still hate them. Duel Upping the price to the 25-30 eur/usd range, 3 choices for you: A. The FIRST Duel on Mandalore, featuring Maul, Savage and Sidious in front of the Guernica-like mosaic / B. Grievous vs Ventress on Dathomir / C. Grievous vs the one and only Captain Tarpals on Naboo, from that one standalone episode from TCW most probably forgot about :D set1 30 eur/usd range: Showdown on Bora Vio - Omega, Cad Bane and helmetless Fennec on a bit of the Kaminoan facility, maybe including the Dragon Ball inspired escape pod and Todo-360. set2 40 eur/usd range: another double choice, A. Quarren ship - an illusion of the deck of the ship featuring the opening monster-pit and brickbuilt seamonster, comes with Mando, a Quarren pirate, Baby Yoda (maybe with hovepram) and Koska Reeves / B. I thought about this for the 30range, but even with a downscale i think it will end up here, a Weequay tank from TCW with Hondo, Anakin, a Weequay or Nikto pirate and Embo. I really want a non-bug-eyed Hondo, here's to hoping he'll pop up in Mando S3 (but still voiced by Jim Cummings). set3 50-60 eur/usd range: B-Wing - It's been already suggested, but I agree it needs a remake, and I need one to complete my system/playset scale rebel alphabet fleet. Comes with a pilot, Mon Mothma, a 3rd fig of your choice and maybe a brickbuilt Gonk/Maintenance droid. set4 70-100 eur/usd range: Coruscant Chase - Another strong contender, almost grabbed the 30 and 40 slots as two different sets, comes with both speeders and maybe a side build depending on the price. Figures include Zam Wesell, Obi-Wan, Anakin, Padme and a brickbuilt assassin droid, maybe even Jango if it leans on the higher price range. set5 100-120 eur/usd range: AT-TE - We want one. We want it with Rex, preferably a P2 one. Other figures are at least two Clones (pilot and gunner), one Jedi (it doesn't matter which one, it can be Shon Kon Ray as far as I am concerned) and the obligatory couple of B1s. set6 160 eur/usd range: ESB Falcon - Keeping with the ESB/Hoth theme of the last couple of leaks, the first OT Falcon since 2011 similar to the 2019 one. Comes with Han, Leia, Chewie, C3P0, Capeless Bespin Lando, Hurt Bespin Luke, R2 and maybe a Mynock to tie it to the UCS one. 18+ display I completely drew a blank on this one, the best I came up with would be the Death Star Conference Room with CMF-grade prints (ie boots on officers) on the various imperial brass members.
  23. I love this idea, but I would also add dr. Birute Galdikas and an Orangutan to complete the trio of ape experts :)
  24. Short sad story: I went to my local store the other day to use up my store points before they expire and get a discount on the Imperial Marauder, but that particular set was already gone from the shelves =( Hope they restock before the end of the month. On other news I got the Duel on Mandalore almost on day one from the same store, but it will remain unbuilt (as will the Marauder) as a form of self-punishment until I sort out the space issue and finally overhaul my lego display corner of the basement, especially since I had to buy a new camping table for the sole purpose of building Barracuda Bay last month :D
  25. Unless either baby Yoda and the float-pram OR the two "target" things are in separate days, I count 23 individual builds.
