This was originally going to be a CMF series set of 12 Aslume members, but as the Arkham thing becomes more and more legitimate I thought it would be funny to make it an actual set, and add two non-member inmates as well as our faithful wardens. (Something's up with my computer, so I was only able to get one render out before everything started crashing. I might try to add more later.) Inmates: @CloneCommando99: Crimes/gang affiliations/etc: identity theft, High Priest of the Church of Mara Jade, former member of the Black Lanterns - Clone Commando attempted to steal a turtle's identity during the Battle for the Shell and later joined Nekron's forces in the Brickest Night. Comes with a Lantern Ring and blaster rifle construct. (Individual Cell render had a fridge) @Agent Kallus: Crimes/gang affiliations/etc: timeline violations - Agent Alexsandur Kallus was arrested after crossing into the DC universe by means of wibbly wobbly timey wimey stuff, endangering the space-time continuum. Comes with a sonic screwdriver. (Individual Cell render had captain carter's shield, as it's a printed part with a british flag) @Renny The Spaceman: Crimes/gang affiliations/etc: criminal trespassing, theft of classified material, Dummy Disciple - Renny's tireless pursuit of all things Dummy has led him to steal classified documents from lego HQ in an attempt to prove the Dummy's design was shown to the cmf designer in a prophetic vision. Comes with a Dummy figure. (Cell had a dummy shrine and 10 other dummy figures) @legoturtle: Crimes/gang affiliations/etc: The Turtle is a semi-mythical figure theorized to be the physical embodiment of the Aslume. Arrested and set for execution due to his role in the attempted extrajudicial killing of Kevin Feige, the turtle appears to have escaped just before his execution date. Comes with a Pizza and Brickheadz Joker. (Cell had a microscale shadow box) @ARC2149Nova: Crimes/gang affiliations/etc: rebellion, soldier of the New Republic, former member of the Black Lanterns, Nova was arrested for his role in the Brickest Night event. Comes with a blaster. (Cell had a black skeleton) @Mandalorianknight: Crimes/gang affiliations/etc: felony theft, tax evasion, rebellion, member of the Church of Mara Jade, garbage - Architect of the physical cells comprising the Aslume, Mando was arrested for stealing all the Mara Jade minifigures intended to be released by lego as part of the 25th anniversary subline. He currently pleads temporary insanity due to having been possessed by Khonshu at the time. Comes with a hardlight spear and shield. (Cell had a wall poster with the autobot emblem) @RedHoodPug: Crimes/gang affiliations/etc: forbidden knowledge: Redhoodpug was arrested for simply knowing too much about DC lore, a clear violation of lego's "batman and joker only" policy. Comes with two guns. (Pug actually gets a custom print because I made one for Red Hood back in a DC wishlist wave) (Cell had a tower of fate microbuild) @psqidexslizer : Crimes/gang affiliations/etc: general roguery - a known associate of the rogues, slizer has been complicit in their numerous crimes and battles with the flash. Comes with a boomerang. (cell came with a flame, popsicle stick, and trickster card) @BrickBob Studpants: Crimes/gang affiliations/etc: attempted murder, practicing sith arts - A known sith, Brickbob is charged with the attempted murder of turtle, rumored to be his sith master, as part of an ancient sith tradition known as the rule of two. Comes with a Sith Lightsaber. (Cell came with jedi robes sized for spongebob) @THELEGOBATMAN: Crimes/gang affiliations/etc: Stalking, attempted murder, identity theft - An alternative universe Batman who attempted to steal superman's identity, Thelegobatman was brought in after stalking and attempting to kill Syril Karn in a bid to win the love of Dedra Meero. Comes with an imperial logo. (Cell came with graffiti stating "T", a 1x1 with the heart symbol, then "D" for "Thelegobatman loves Dedra Meero") @Swordy: Crimes/gang affiliations/etc: Heresy against the Aslume - Enigmatic spaceman Swordy is currently serving a light sentence for referring to a potential Aslume lego set as "boring". (Sorry man I couldn't think of any more serious crimes). Comes with a sword. (Cell came with a blacktron symbol on the wall) @Lego Nostalgia: Crimes/gang affiliations/etc: terrorism - Nostalgia was arrested over calling in a shadow box threat against the marvel theme, wishing upon them a fate worse than cancellation- having their next modular be a shadow box. Comes with a cup of unknown liquid. (Cell came with a lego deadpool suit) Absolute Batman: Crimes/gang affiliations/etc: attempted murder (x40), vehiclular manslaughter: Absolute Batman was brought in after killing half his rogue's gallery by throwing bricks at them and going on a rampage in his dump truck. Ab-bat wouldn't come quietly, so he was simply told the joker and a pile of bricks were in his cell before the door was locked behind him. (Cell came with bricks) Man: Crimes/gang affiliations/etc: "You... you are..." "Yeah. I'm man". Comes with two manarangs. (Cell was empty) Wardens: @Clone OPatra: Clones created from the genetic material of Jango Fett and Mark Antony, the Clone OPatra units guard the aslume. In the central segment of the ground floor of the aslume, the leadership, known as the Moderation Team, looks over papers while units bring in two more inmates, as more units are generated in through a portal.

Marvel Superheroes 2024 - Rumors & Discussion
Mandalorianknight replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
We've had marvel sets that played things close to the chest before- not that it was neccesarily for spoiler reasons, but guardians 3 and the marvels didn't even include the main villain, much less say much about the plot. You could easily make a couple sets for this just off the trailers: Lab Battle ($24.99): Laboratory build with some explode features and whatnot. Comes with Yelena, Ghost, John Walker, and Taskmaster. Red Guardian Chase ($69.99): Red Guardian's limo, a humvee, and Bucky's motorcycle. Comes with Red Guardian, Bucky, John Walker, Ghost, and 2x soldier. That would be a licensing nightmare, I imagine. Sure, the companies are already in contact, but how do you determine what cut fortnite gets and what cut marvel gets? I think this would be difficult enough in even a normal set, but in a blind bag CMF where only some of them are marvel, it'd be near-impossible. (And if all of them were marvel, there'd be no reason for fortnite to be involved at all) -
Spider-man, Superman, Optimus Prime, etc are all heavily connected with America. (Obviously Captain America too, but that one's too obvious to even explain) Superman's whole thing is Truth, Justice, and the American way! It doesn't matter so much what the nationality of the person playing the character is, the characters are American icons. We aren't an old enough country to have mythology in the greek sense, but arguably superheroes are an American mythology. Ah- thanks for letting me know

Oscorp. The bugle's retiring, new spider-man characters are being seeded in, etc. While this is absolutely true, assumably lego had SOME faith in it, and that's still two big superhero playset D2Cs in one year. I think Marvel could have a modular so long as it's not too similar to Arkham (especially assuming that Arkham itself probably wouldn't literally be a modular) -

I've been saying this since the latter was first rumored! I think it's entirely likely someone's source told them about a "blue mandalorian helmet" and conclusions were drawn. Though I'm not sure about a 2-in-1 - they don't really share any colors in common. Lego has made Jango just normal blue, but they also changed Bo to azure recently. But even if they did the same shade of blue for both, Jango's helmet is really mostly silver whereas Bo's is mostly blue, and she has white as a secondary, not silver. I'd be down for that. Honestly given that it'd be probably like $60 minimum, I can understand it. I don't know how many people would want the speeders- especially kids- I know when I was a kid I mainly wanted the combat vehicles. And Anakin's speeder doesn't have the level of sheer recognizability that Luke's landspeeder does, so combined with the fact that the two-pack would put them at a higher price point and the only desirable/hard to get character there would be Zam- popular with AFOLs but not someone who I think could save a set from doing poorly- I can understand why lego nixed it. -

To be fair we got the Shadow Box and Avengers Tower in the same year. -
Very excited. 10 figs is fine with me if they've mostly got their villain suits on. If most of the villains use arkham outfits, I'm going to want much higher numbers of figs. Unlike most of the superhero D2Cs there's a lot of potential for re-used prints here between Arkham staff (1x print for doctor torso, 1-2 prints for guard torsos and possibly legs, 2 prints for male and female villains, and bam, you can get a TON of characters with reused heads for arkham staff and only one unique print each for the villains), so if it is 10 figs and half of them are villains in arkham suits, it's a massive miss from lego. Pyg and Zsasz might be a little dark for lego (Although it'd be super easy to throw a unique head print on an unnamed inmate for Zsasz so that might happen) This is all the proof I need that Turtle was your sith master. Your list is clearly unrealistic- only 2 mad hatters? C'mon, man, those are rookie numbers. On Tuesdays I am turtle 2.0. You can have the title the rest of the week though. No kidding. I had so much hope after that first trailer, but that was not a successful show and definitely wouldn't have been a new BTAS-level popularity surge for kids. Unfortunately I think my profile picture's just going to turn out to be Djin Djaren as a transformer, which annoys me because they were on a hotstreak of unique autobot crossover figures (Autobot Gigawatt as the Delorean, Agent Knight as K.I.T.T., and Party Wallop as the Turtle Van off the top of my head) and then when they get to a franchise that could have had a really sick "cybertronian follows the Way of the Mandalore" character, they went "nah it's notorious droid racist Djin Djarren as essentially a living droid". "Communist Brit detected on American soil. Lethal force engaged" - Liberty Prime, Fallout 3. We'll send your mouse back in a bag containing the dust he was comprised of.

In this case, I'm trusting Brick Reporter. Might not be some random intern, but it's still a suit somewhere. I think there's a pretty high chance that they asked lego to make a superman set, they did, and they didn't see fit to enforce it as specifically a superman movie set. I'll do you one better- At least two other characters will be from the DC comics franchise.

LEGO Star Wars 2024 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!

My guy why would you buy a $55 set with 5 minifigures and hope the generic trooper is the one that stays exclusive? Everything else aside, there are four other figures in that set who are more likely to stay exclusive. Poe's X-wing brought me back into lego star wars. I would be estatic if we got a remake. -
Source? I have seen men and/or spiders in most movies. We've come full circle and yet I still laugh as derangedly as if it was the first time. You do a lot of good real life customs, is there a physical lego Man in the works? Again you are relying on some DC marketing guy being able to distinguish lego minifigures of comic and film superman. This is an undisputed and massive win for society. Arkham's actually a genius move figure/print budget wise too. With just two new torsos and one new leg print (if they even do that lol), you can make a ton of new figures with the only exclusive prints being heads and hair. Hopefully a few villains will be costumed up attempting to break their friends out of the aslume, or maybe we get some bat-family members stopping the breakout.

Did you try the medicine drug? (If you were actually confused I was just referencing Dr. Who resurfacing in the thread and Turtle's propensity to misunderstand bits of our jokes) Didn't you hear me say I had Morbius? He's worth at least two nesquick bunnies. That would be hilarious, but I think it's most likely that this is a completely new person with no relation to turtle. ; ) I definitely am NOT saying that while Commando's come closest to emulating his style, Turtle's brand of writing has never been fully replicated, implying riddler is truly him. Arise... Optimus Prime

That's very cool but I think you may have misread my post. I want a Wolverized Venomarine. That's fair. As others have said there's plenty of room for X men sets. I think for it to do well as a full on subtheme and not just a few sets, though, we'll need MCU movies for X-men. I know a lot of people liked '97 but it didn't have the popularity with children the 90s one had, partially because children's cartoons as a whole now longer have the power they used to. -
I got some other figs in ebay lots where I was gunning for other figures. I have like 7 batman. I'm not with my collection at the moment but off the top of my head it's something like: 2021 Tumbler, 1992 polybag. Batman (TDK), Batman (1992), Batman (generic 2015 era suit), Batman (purist battinson custom- uses that generic 2015 torso because I never bought the actual battinson one), Batman (Batfleck BvS suit), Batman (TLBM suit with the TDK nightmare face and no utility belt), Superman (classic 2012 with curlless hair because the lot only had his torso), Superman (Cavill), Robin (from the deathstroke set), Flash (from the 2014 riddler set with dual molded boots I got on pick a brick), Jonkler (TLBM torso and legs with 2012 face and an aviator cap). If I had the energy to expend I'd link that image of Bruce going apebricks on a fast food worker for offering him jonklerized fries. ( justifiably, that's a maniacal thing to offer as a product in a world with a real joker who has killed thousands of people, but it's funny) This is so inaccurate... ...who says we're allies with Britain? Ronald McDonald, Phd. Wait, it still says taking a break. There may be some hope for your sith master after all. Don't think I forgot already.... GUYS! I read in the news about a squirrel. Then someone said they have a squirrel superhero. Chip. He flies (LIKE A BEE) but no laser eyes. Interesting. I found this set *pretend I linked a friends set I'm not going through the trouble of finding one* has a SQUIRREL. Maybe it is DC? Why are we talking about Doctors? Alfred is a doctor. He works with Master Splinter. To fight Purple-13. But secret. Batman does not know. (Turtle Tuesday #1)

I am somewhat surprised we haven't had a wolvmobile yet. It's strange. (It would have to come with Wolverized Venomarine, as you know.) The scene where he finds his mom and realizes that his childhood dream of finding his parents was built on his false perception that he was separated from his mom rather than the truth that his mom abandoned him hit me pretty hard. But you're absolutely right that in terms of connections or worldbuilding type of impact there's not much aside from the somewhat disconcerting notion that Snyder Batman has merch in his universe. As for the second part, that was intentional. He's had to mature past his age due to his circumstances, so when he becomes an "adult" with powers he acts more childlike than before- the movie's not the only time they've done this. -
Honestly aside from the Bugle I don't think we've gotten many civilians in Marvel over the past half-decade or so. They've done the White House a couple times, alongside the lincoln memorial and the capitol building. So four in a decade and a half or so- you'd be forgiven for forgetting, but lego does make lego DC sets. Oh, wait, did you mean that obscure comic book publisher? I think they did a few sets in the late 2000s/early 2010s, but the only license from that IP holder we get anymore is that bat guy from the Robert Pattinson movie. Though I think the leaks said we might get a set with some sort of obscure character named soup man? I think this thread degenerated my mental state enough to get me to purchase the morbius set (for $12, but still). Ironically I think this is the thread I'm most active in yet the only DC sets I've bought myself... ever? have been the 2021 system Tumbler and 1992 Batman Polybag.

I wouldn't call this a technical issue, though. Too bad, you said you didn't like shazam and now I have to tell you I didn't like media you enjoyed. On the bright side, the high republic adventures 4+ sets have been shelfwarming to ludicrous levels (I think I've seen people posting images of the $35 one going for $15 at some outlets), which could at least get you some torsos. I would not be happy if two full anniversary figure slots got dedicated to the Acolyte of all things but I'll take a Sol figure. IMO putting ROTS above TFA is an interesting choice but to each their own. IIRC we- in a bout of star wars giving us perhaps too much information- do know when they were conceived (which if I remember right is right after anakin accidentally kills a ton of people in one of the canon Thrawn books) and the timeline more or less works. -
Marvel Superheroes 2024 - Rumors & Discussion
Mandalorianknight replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
It can be true that someone told minisuperheroes today they sell well with kids, and that Ashnflash has consistent findings with many of us that they're shelfwarming hard. Actually, depending on what specifically was said to minisuperheroes, both could be completely true- they shelfwarm, but whatever copies are sold are bought by kids. What? I loved the shazam movies! The second one was a little weaker- although also the funniest DC movie- but the first one was legitimately great. True, but that's a collector-oriented line. The constraction figures are a kid gimmick line, and those don't tend to survive years off. Whatever faults that show had, it did truly show Sam living up to Cap's legacy by becoming the Captainball from HISHE. -
Ok sure, he made the type of minor infraction a fairly big number of forum members make (we already talked about how many of us started our account underage, and I know for a fact multiple members came back after bans speaking the same way, or just straight up continuing conversations they had before being banned, and nobody went after them. I don't think people SHOULD go after them, but if you're gonna enforce the rules, enforce the rules. Yes. They killed him already. Didn't even line it up with the scheduled time. :( In honor of his death I will begin Turtle Tuesdays, wherein I will post like Turtle in this thread on Tuesdays. I can't get the quantity of responses when he was active down because I work when he was active, but I should have the writing style down pat. Why don't you just call the justice league for help?

How to Train Your Dragon - 2025 Rumors & Updates
Mandalorianknight replied to karrit's topic in LEGO Licensed
What? What movie adaption? I don't know what you're talking about. Those don't exist. Cautiously optimistic about the disney+ series. It's an opportunity, but they've already taken down two of my other favorite childhood book franchises (Artemis Fowl and Mysterious Benedict Society- although to be fair I didn't think the latter was all that bad, it just missed the spark of the books), so I don't have high hopes. Plus the newer book, Murtagh, reminded me how mature the series is/gets- being written media where they don't dwell on the gore, it's not as obvious, but it'd have to be a TV-14 series for the later installments in the cycle. I think we could see a number of $30-50 sets with each base dragon and a few side builds- I don't know that something like the haddock house or red death would sell super well at that price, like you say, but I do think cheaper sets for each dragon would do very well, and I think lego recognizes that. Very well said. -
How to Train Your Dragon - 2025 Rumors & Updates
Mandalorianknight replied to karrit's topic in LEGO Licensed
Same- not the exact same stuff, but same. All I want left is for Dune and Transformers to become full themes, and for Eragon, although that'll need to become a visual medium because we're not getting sets based only off books. Very happy that Lego How to Train Your Dragon is coming. I don't have much space left in my collection, but Hiccup and Toothless will find their way in no matter what. (Unless they mold all the dragons, that would really annoy me. Ninjago has shown how well they can pull off brick-built dragons, and i agree with @Agent Kallus that anything larger than a horse feels like it's not really lego when it's molded instead of built.
