LEGO Star Wars Set Discussion 2025 - READ FIRST POST!!!
Mandalorianknight replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I hope so, at this point I think there are more canceled star wars films than there are real ones. I would have loved a trilogy about Luke restarting the Jedi (And meeting Mara) but no, we had to subvert expectations. (Which ties into the whole TMAG thing where being safe isn't necessarily bad- I thought TFA was a perfectly fine start to the trilogy, and then TLJ "subverted" everything set up and TROS halfheartedly "solved" stuff there was no buildup for.) I don't think it's a bad thing per se, but I do think there are more people who would buy a brown one but not a blue/grey one than vice versa just from the brown version being in TPM. It's not a major gripe on my part, but it is why I'm not picking it up (and I don't even LIKE TPM, my best experiences with the MTT are fighting it in battlefront 2017, that's why I'd want it. And you know what? You could even include clones there. There are whole battlefront 2 exclusive legions lego could pull in if the color scheme was so they could chuck in clones.) Yup. They've had a lot of movies in the pipeline with big directors and their "creative visions" that didn't pan out. Star Wars isn't The Godfather, and especially in a universe where you can't get any of those hot new director films out, I don't see anything wrong with putting out a fun adventure movie. That said, I'd also be fine if we stuck it out until 2029 before starting up movies again, but the brand isn't in the best place right now. They need to win back audience support, and TMAG is a low-risk way to gather some goodwill back. I'd guess we have to, it's just a system set, I can't see them hiding it much longer. That said, people had the Onyx Cinder IN HAND before lego revealed it, so you never know. -
If I ever make a third build to cap off the trilogy (ideally because the theme returned, but just as likely because they just folded Batman into Icons), it'll be a tower of fate with every single user who ever posted in the aslume thread. soup Thank you! Soup and insanity. Truly, my life's work. That's actually man, with a Beetle and some Juice referencing another famous role by the Man actor. As for the "asgardian", check the transformers thread or the Jurrasic World one and you'll understand. Yup, the officer was meant to represent the Police Commander Police and all those guys. Oh yeah, if I was playing chess I'd be hunched over that table like Chewie was removing my arms if I lost. Good luck against Thrawn's Acolyte. Yeah, it was the Dummy Alter- Not that I put a ton of hours into this but I would have tried to replicate my aslume build a little better if I was doing a microscale. You did, but I had my four-sided stair thing and since you were in both parts of the thread I made the executive decision to maximize the stair build I like. Yeah no they definitely torture dissidents as part of date night. but what can you do.
-
Thank you! Yeah there's a number of Aslume characters present- Man is wearing an old suit he found in his closet alongside a Joker wig, and holding a Beetle and some Juice. My thought process was moreso that we were designing characters on the holotable, but I like the idea that it's a holochess match and two people are just sitting there watching. Took me forever to get it, too, like he said Dummy usually just takes the bus, so it wouldn't have been as interesting of a build. At the end of Andor Season 2, Vader is about to choke Dedra to death when Cyborg Superman appears, goes "I'll save you Dedra!", and portals both of them away. The disney execs are really worried about copyright infringement but they did promise to give Gilroy creative control... Yeah- I imagine it takes a bit to convince Dummy to go to something like a gala, hence having to summon him out of the primordial elements, but I imagine in general he'd just take the bus or crash a car. Thank you! Thank you! I... I'm out of ice puns. Pretend I said something clever. Thanks! That's why I threw all that context out to start it- dropping these images with no setup has to look absolutely unhinged to anyone who isn't active on that thread.

Marvel Superheroes 2025 - Rumors & Discussion
Mandalorianknight replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
Oh a buildable Jeff is definitely being fast-tracked as we speak. I hope they're getting some system sets out there too. There's a billion sets they could make- every map aside from New York and Hydra Base is pretty colorful. I have a list somewhere, but off the top of my head- Convoy sets (convoy vehicle and associated terrain): Fantasticar, Spider-Crawler, and Thor's Chariot would all work great. The Bast Statue and Knull's essense would probably have to be smaller sets more about the figs, but I think Knull's essence could work especially if they incorporated the victory animation where Venom bursts out of it. There are also a number of characters who could hold battle pack builds or side builds in larger sets: Punisher's Turret, Peni's mech (normal sized), Monster Hulk, Rocket's inventions, etc Finally there's a number of vehicles shown in maps that could be used- The Quinjet could make a Hydra Base set work a lot better, and on the Spider-Islands map there's a Peni mech that's almost the exact size of a $15 mech set compared to the character model of it. And of course a buildable Jeff. I'll second the Thunderbolts train. Lego, you give me a $20 battle pack with John Walker, Yelena Belova, Ghost, and Bucky, and I'll army build it and put them on a grey baseplate as if it's massable figures. That's what you want, right Lego? Yeah, exactly. The second we got RDDoom my optimism from the Russos being hired plummeted. -
Disclaimer: There is absolutely zero logic here. How is it that I have a star wars MOC wave half done, two D2C sized MOCs partially made, and two more MOC waves and Ideas projects in the pipeline but THIS is the one I ended up finishing quickly? Alright, so if you're blissfully unaware of what's going on here, this is a culmination of layers upon layers of in-jokes and irony stemming from the 2024 Batman thread, mainly that: A: The current state of lego DC is so dour and solely batman oriented that Superman, one of the main DC characters, getting his first figure (and just from a mech at that) in 5 years is considered a massive win for the theme B: We had a set last year that included three batman, two jokers, and no one else, just to reinforce that first point. C: That "Aslume" thread has reached a self-replicating layer of insanity and in-jokes, including one user's worship of the CMF demolition dummy figure from 2010, another's love for Andor villain Dedra Meero, and an overall lack of on-topic conversation This is meant as a joke, so I didn't spend a ton of time on it, which means no custom prints, no real building techniques, etc. The idea behind this is, I guess, that it's a celebration of Superman finally getting another figure, as well as a spoof of the X-men Hellfire Gala event which'll be showing up in Marvel Rivals in a bit. Alright, so... let's try to break down what's going on here, I guess. This is a series of vignettes based on different user in-jokes in eurobricks threads. As should be immediately apparent to anyone who knows what a Gala is, I do not, and assumed it was just like a party or dance. Alright so here's the main floor of the Gala, where users such as @Lego Nostalgia, @psqidexslizer, and @BrickBob Studpants dance along with Superman, several Batman and Jokers, and some other Aslume characters. A look around back. I assume most Galas don't have disco balls but I felt it's what Superman (that's where the soup in soup-simmered-on-a-medium-heat gala is coming from, it's just a play on his name that's been around for a bit now) would have wanted. There's also a table with some superman cookies. I felt like a big dance floor was kind of boring so I made some smaller builds for other members based on their recent activity in the thread. Here's MandalorianKnight, @ARC2149Nova, @Swordy, and @CloneCommando99 sitting around a holotable brainstorming characters. A look around the back. This was mainly just an excuse for me to make another set of stairs, I like using this set of two plate high stairs with alternating studs. Here's @Renny The Spaceman (Wearing Demo Dummy cufflinks) summoning Demolition Dummy on an alter of candlesticks and dummy minifigures. He forms himself out of the four primordial elements: Earth, Fire, Water, and Cheese. Here's @Murdoch17 and @Agent Kallus chilling out. Gotta ice those puns, guys. Snow way you were getting a different vignette. And finally @THELEGOBATMAN with Dedra Meero. That heart isn't a physical standee, they're generating that. Now if you'll excuse me I'm gonna go contemplate whatever life choices led me to spend a few hours working on this for a bit...
-
Might not be the same thing Renny's talking about but there's a fairly popular youtube channel that makes skits, their most famous surrounding "the cheeseman", a sentient, humanoid piece of cheese. "Marvel Studios' Cheeseman" is their most popular one to my knowledge. It's not what the inclusion of the cheese as a primordial element is referring to, but it's where my mind goes when I hear "cheeseman". Yes that's definitely what I meant, ignore that it's fire in the final renders, that's actually a replication of funnel cake and I accidentally swapped the color off dark orange. Final Soupfire images are rendering. 0 skillful building techniques. 0 custom prints. 7 mental illnesses gained during the build. I know you're all waiting with bated breath. EDIT: Gala topic is up.

Mandalorianknight replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Yup, a lot of them have been canceled already. Don't get me wrong, you're correct in general. But TMAG is the exception to the rule- it's the most popular characters star wars has put out in decades, and it's farther into production than anything else got. I actually like that it's only two seasons. A lot of shows get worse the longer they go on, and having a set start and finish can help avoid that. Loki is the best disney+ show besides Andor, and it was only about 9-10 hours in total. Yeah we got early leaks but there's still an august wave and an october set. At most there's one small D2C (I use it in the literal "lego exclusive" meaning as opposed to the "big set" connotation it's gotten) left like the 2008 battle pack combo last year or holiday diorama the previous one. Yes TMAG is coming. The only one of those I have any confidence in is the Filoni movie, and that's just because I think they announced it well before it was meant to start production- clearly he's gonna do Ahsoka S2 first. Levy's I think is also fairly likely if they get Gosling because that's too big a name to pass up. Dawn of the Jedi's been pretty quiet so it could go either way but given how the Benoiff and Weiss trilogy, Feige movie, etc went I wouldn't put much stock in it. I absolutely do not think Obaid-Chinoy's movie happens at all. They're fully in the Rian Johnson/Taiki Watiti "no it's happening trust the rumors of script troubles or inferences the movie won't come out are just grifts" phase- I think a Rey movie is possible but like I said it'll be a ship of theseus situation wherein everything aside from "rey movie" is replaced. Luckily we just got Grogu, but that buildable mando statue is coming. You answer the third part with the second. Lego believes that the clones are enough to sell these sets. That said, I don't think it'll work. The UT-AT or RFT or, you know what, the Big Galactic Marine Battle Pack , probably won't do any worse than many of the $110+ sets we've been getting (Though no way it does as well as the 2022 AT-TE or even the 2023 Guard Gunship), but I think the MTT could become a bit of a shelfwarmer. From the clone side of things it's one singular clone trooper in a pretty expensive set, and while people have been saying we need separatist stuff I think a lot of people, me included, would have preferred a brown one. Not to mention that at the end of the day, if you put the good guy vehicle and the bad guy vehicle on shelves at the same time and they're expensive enough that kids can only get one, the kid's choosing the good guy vehicle. -

I maintain this'll be a UT-AT with the name "Republic Fighter Tank" since UT-AT's a bit obscure, but I would prefer one that's got a big separatist vehicle with a normal RFT as a side build. I'm not looking for another big republic ground vehicle but I desperately need some separatist representation on my shelves. If that MTT was brown it'd be on my list for the year. It was always going to happen because it's mando, but you bring up the confirmation that it's actually happening. There's footage. They've been filming for some time now. There was a trailer WITH said footage. This is a real movie that's releasing next year. (I feel like this was also always the one that was clearly going to happen because, like I said, it's mando. With a lot of the movies that aren't ever going to release, they have to constantly and somewhat aggressively go "no, it's coming out, all these rumors that production isn't going well aren't true, the movie's happening" whereas with mando it's just been normal film production information and not this delusional "The Rian Johnson trilogy is real" bs with no backup.) (And yes, I am thinking of the New Jedi Order/ Rey movie as well when I say this. I do think a movie with Rey involved will come out eventually, but we've reached a ship of Theseus level where I think the only thing remaining from the original plans is Rey being involved.) -

The marines are the one constant about the rumors, they'll be there I'm sure. Mando's N-1 almost certainly wasn't rushed out and was already in the pipeline. (The Baby Yoda Brickheadz provides us with a bare-minimum for how fast lego can put out the lowest effort set at their maximum motivation) And lego absolutely knows about the TIE avenger, and most likely was given concept art of it by the andor team way before we saw it. There's also no reason for lego to fasttrack a TIE avenger like they did baby yoda- we know it typically takes 1.5 years to develop a set, and I can't imagine lego thinks a TIE avenger would do so absolutely gangbusters that they would feel the need to rush that cycle- if they did, we'd have seen one in the may or august waves. Those aren't 2025 sets, and there is no "fall wave" beyond the AC and Death Star. Maybe we get one more like the holiday diorama or 2008 battlepacks remake, but there isn't a secret extra wave of sets this year. -

I really doubt it- 1. The death star is gonna be able to re-use a massive amount of prints. Assuming a print stays "Alive" for about 3 years, we've got- 2025: Haha, literally no one, god forbid we have a system OT set this year 2024: Stormtrooper, R2-D2, Darth Vader, TIE Pilot, Imperial Fleet Trooper, Imperial Crew, Imperial Gunner, Imperial Officer (black suit), Chewbacca, C-3PO 2023: Palpatine, ROTJ Luke, Han Solo, 2022: Farmboy Luke, Princess Leia This alone gets us a fair bit over half the figure count considering the imperial multiples and kitbashes like Stormtrooper Luke and Han, and considering that many imperial staff can re-use heads, there'll be more multiples, etc, I don't think the death star will end up altering the budget any more than the standard fig-heavy UCS/MBS set. 2. Lego star wars would have to have had a pretty massive budget drop for this to become a thing. It's how themes like Lego Marvel work, but not star wars. It's not like 2020 had a massive drop in the number of prints because of the cantina. You know what, it would be pretty funny if the set was a $150 Rebel Fleet Trooper macrofig that inexplicably came with galactic marines and Bacara. -

Thank you! That's one of the craziest ones to me and I don't get why more people aren't talking about it. Not only is it absurd, but self-competing Not gonna lie I actually do like that, always love the super deep cuts from the movies. Any other year I'd be pretty happy with this GWP, and as is I'd be tempted to get it if not for the fact that since I don't want to buy 3 ARC-170s there's no way for me to reach the threshold with 2025 system sets. Hearing that people thought it could be an RFT instead my money's still on it being a UT-AT with the set name "republic fighter tank", unless you've heard otherwise. -

Renown quoted his own Lucky hint when he said consensus shifted, which assumably means the hint was based on info that didn't pan out. Correct. To be fair, this one actually feels like a good choice for a GWP with Jango's Slave One. In a normal year I'd probably think it was fairly cool. It's just that this year is so overstuffed with clones. -

Leaked one: Slave One (UCS, May), Slave One (System, August) There were rumors of an additional Cadet Disguise Boba in the GWP, but now it sounds like it's just some redshirts, which is better. -
Wishlist: Future Star Wars Sets and Minifigures
Mandalorianknight replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Thank you, so do I- it'd be a hard wave on my wallet! I'm shocked they haven't done this yet, it's not like anyone who was gonna buy the AT-AT for Cody hasn't already done so. We're long overdue a new rebel A-wing, while it's not a dogfight lego loves their starfighter 2 packs so I wouldn't mind a $110 one of the A and B wings. Next few years? The first two sets comprise the January 2026 wave and the last two are sets from the August 2026 wave, which also features a Falchion tank, AT-AP, 125th legion battle pack (with an RFT microfighter as it's build), Venator cruiser, and Z-95 Headhunter+V-wing 2-pack. But seriously, these are good choices. I would pick most of these up over the next few years. My pick for 2026's system and UCS sets: January: Starkiller base duel ($9.99): Rey and Kylo Ren on a small starkiller base diorama that, like the 2019 set, can be split in half. Rebel Commando battle pack ($19.99): 3x rebel commandos, an Ewok Scout, a stolen speeder bike, and a small tree. V-wing starfighter ($24.99): V-wing with a Clone Pilot (Phase 2), Astromech Droid, and Clone Captain Fordo TIE Advanced Vs Y-wing ($109.99): Darth Vader, TIE Pilot, Dutch Vander, Rebel Astromech, and Grand Moff Tarkin 4+: Republic Gunship ($39.99): Clone Pilot, Ahsoka Tano, and Captain Rex March: Special Mando Movie wave that takes the spot of the normal June wave May: UCS: Anakin Skywalker's ETA-2 Jedi Starfighter ($239.99): Anakin Skywalker (arm printing for gauntlet on robotic hand arm), R2-D2 (new body with rotatable head and attachment point for a third leg) August: Chimera Star Destroyer Microfighter ($12.99): Captain Enoch Commander Cody Mech ($16.99): Guess who (phase 2) Wolfpack Attack ($34.99): 4x Wolfpack troopers as well as 3x commando droids (accurate grey color) and a Commando Droid Captain. Builds are a Wolfpack BARC speeder, a Crab Droid, and a Commando droid speeder. Duel on the Invisible Hand ($59.99): Dual staircases leading from an upper balcony down to Palpatine's chair. Comes with Obi-Wan, Anakin, Dooku, Palpatine, and 2x b2 battle droids. AT-ST Ambush ($74.99): AT-ST and two trees with a Log Trap function and tiny bit of ewok village on top with 2x AT-ST Pilot, Chewbacca (Endor), Chirpa, Wicket, and Paploo. TIE Defender ($79.99): TIE Defender with Ezra Bridger, Sabine Wren, a TIE Pilot, and a Stormtrooper Commander. A-wing and B-wing at Rebel Command ($109.99): A and B wing starfighters as well as a small Home One briefing room build, maintenance cart, etc. Comes with an A-wing pilot, B-wing pilot, Mon Mothma, Admiral Ackbar, Crix Madine, General Lando, and 1x Rebel Ground Crew. Director Krennic's shuttle (amazon exclusive, $139.99): Krennic's shuttle with Director Krennic, 2x Death Trooper Specialist, Jyn Erso, Cassian Andor, Galen Erso, and K-2S0. Venator Class Republic Attack Cruiser ($169.99): Admiral Yularen, Clone Officer (unarmored), Anakin Skywalker, Plo Koon, Commander Wolffe, Captain Rex, and 2x 501st troopers. October: Advent Calendar: figures are a Night Trooper, 327th Trooper, Commando Droid, Jyn Erso, Dedra Meero, Santa Mando, and Elf Grogu. MBS Battle for Endor ($399.99): Endor Bunker with a set of large trees on either side containing the important Ewok Village bits. Includes 2 speeder bikes, an ewok glider, a midi-scale AT-ST, ewok huts/spitroast/bonfire/c-3PO god chair, and the bunker contains the reactor room, armory, front hallway, and command room. Comes with Han Solo, Princess Leia, Chewbacca, R2-D2, C-3PO, Commander Rex, 1x Rebel Commando, Wicket, Paploo, Chirpa, Logray, Teebo, an Ewok Scout, AT-ST Pilot, 2x Scout Trooper, 2x Storm Trooper, 2x Navy Trooper, and an Imperial Officer, Jedi Knight Luke, Force Ghost Anakin, Force Ghost Obi-Wan, and Force Ghost Yoda. -
Marvel Superheroes 2025 - Rumors & Discussion
Mandalorianknight replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
I love Marvel. I dislike the current state of the franchise. Should I stop commenting about Lego Marvel because I dislike stuff like the new Endgame Final Battle set? In terms of Doomsday, you cannot deny that Cap 4's failure is a reason to be cautious about the film. If the character who will assumably lead the avengers in that movie can't carry his own movie, there is an issue. I like the X-men and am especially excited to see Cyclops again but cameos cannot save a movie if the main cast isn't up to par. Edit: You want positivity? I love Rivals. It's the only console game I've ever played this consistently since release. The character designs are almost exclusively peak marvel. (Not sold on some of the 2099 designs, especially Cap, but other than that most Rivals designs are ones I'd consider some of the best versions of those characters ever. Peni, Moon Knight, the Jeff redesign, the Fantastic Four's blue skins, Thor, the new Rune King Thor, etc.) I would go nuts for Rivals sets, and there's so many options to choose from with all the convoy vehicles and some of the more dynamic maps, or stuff like the Vampbuster suit that would make a great Titan mech style set. Also excited for Cosmic Invasion, I like playing those sorts of games with my friends and I'm glad to see a new marvel one. It'd never get sets but the more content classic designs of the characters are in, the better the chances we get figures, so it's worth mentioning in a more general sense. As far as the MCU goes, I'm excited for Thunderbolts and think it'll stick the landing, I think F4 looks good, I'm over the moon for the Punisher special and my faith in it's quality is only reinforced by the fact that the scene in Born Again featuring Punisher (Where Bernthal, who's writing the punisher special, rewrote his own lines) was the best scene in the show. I love Marvel. I love a lot of current projects marvel's working on, even within the MCU. Just because I don't blindly hype myself up for every movie because they announce a shotgun blast of cameos doesn't mean I shouldn't be here. -

Yeah it appears most of that is, as one commenter under the post puts it, "some guy on devientart level of canon", but it is still funny. Thanks for keeping us updated. Honestly this is a little better than the child TCW cadet ones. At least it's more related to Jango and the figures are ones I've seen nonzero numbers of people ask for. But it's still "wow, instead of obscure clone #167 it's slightly less obscure clone #138". In a normal year I wouldn't mind this one (unlike the original GWP idea, which was unilaterally awful), but this year of all years it's just rubbing salt in the wound. Exactly. As much as getting some obscure clones in a GWP sums up the year, I'd still much prefer we get almost anything else. Or even just INTERESTING obscure clones. But at the end of the day this is an improvement. A small one, but still an improvement. -

I'm not talking about the hypothetical concept of them in an avengers level event, I'm talking about not wanting their characters to be tarnished by the specific film Avengers Doomsday that I have little faith in. What? I googled this and you certainly aren't wrong but what the hell are they smoking? I wouldn't mind seeing a classic Punisher Trap/ the classic "Punisher wins a fight he absolutely shouldn't because he shot batman and grabbed his plot armor" but from all the spider-man rumors it sounds like they're writing character names on darts and throwing them at the script. I think he's safe as leader if for no other reason than there's no other real options left (I think Thor would work best but they aren't gonna do that), but you can't deny BNW bombed (NWH did well but is irrelevant to falcon cap :) ). He'll lead them because there's no other real choices to do so, but I think we've pretty concretely seen very few people are cheering for Falcon Cap. They're giving RDJ alone an inconceivable amount of money, between that and the fact that they've hired 75% of the actors who have ever played a marvel character, maybe they just ran out of money? But seriously with everyone in this film it's gonna need to make infinity war numbers to break even. -

You gotta let the helmets go man they're here to stay. We know you don't like them. Lego clearly isn't changing them. Plenty of us still want a stormtrooper battle pack. Aside from the fact that most lego buyers don't use bricklink, for me personally, I want one because A: I'd like more scouts, navy troopers, army troopers, etc, and B: In terms of stormtroopers, not only am I always looking for more and will almost always take buying a set over bricklinking figs, but with how lego shotguns different heads under the helmets in sets now it's a lot harder to mass order them on BL. It's not like older figs where you could just click the one listing and find which sellers had the quantity you wanted. Everything else aside we are long overdue an advanced. Did you make up everything after the SSD or do I not know as much about TIEs as I thought? The issue with Andor isn't that it'll have been awhile since release, it's that it's not a very family friendly or lego friendly show. Ahsoka's a family friendly, action and cameo heavy, almost mythical show, whereas Andor is incredibly grounded. The best scenes in it are monologues. It's the closest star wars has come to a sex scene and by far the most "boring" for kids. Ahsoka got after-the-fact sets because of all the spoiler content. Andor S1 didn't have any and I doubt S2 will. I loved the first season but I don't think the show is getting more sets. The anniversary is a good point with how much lego's been shoving those out. The only question is whether or not it's relegated to 18+ gimmicks like TFA is this year. Something like this? (This was a few years back, excuse the choppy siding) -

My belief that Kuill's more likely comes from a few things- 1. Mando S1 has the worst coverage of any season, was the longest ago, and is also generally the most well regarded (though my personal favorite was S2)- lego doesn't always do what makes sense but it makes more sense for them to return to S1 than to shove out more S3 sets. 2. While Krennic would be likely (if no gurantee) in some Rogue One sets, I just think it's exceedingly unlikely we get any more Andor sets anytime soon, or Rogue One ones for that matter. The most likely option for a Rogue One revival was the U-wing, and that got remade as an Andor set. I just don't see them putting a mid or large sized set like the Striker or Shuttle out, and they wouldn't put Krennic in, say, a hovertank remake. I'd love for your theory to be true, don't get me wrong, but I don't see lego doing it. Well, clearly- I mean there's so many issues with it. To get all those figures- who have a fanbase behind them, but I wouldn't call them set sellers- out there, with how many 18+ sets they crap out nowadays, you would need to make almost every system set based on that faction. And they've done the most popular vehicles from that faction recently already, so you'd start getting pretty obscure. Not to mention the diminishing returns of focusing on a faction that's been neglected in the past but received significant coverage recently, as well as that doing this would mean very few system sets, if ANY, for other parts of the franchise. Lego has no reason to be so short-sided and neglective of other parts of the fanbase... what were we talking about again? -

Mandalorianknight replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
Not that I think the audience cares at all about Shang Chi or anyone, but a random hodgepodge of X-men from 20 years ago isn't going to get the GA invested. We'll all love the X-men, but while the GA knows a number of the characters, I don't think they're gonna lose it over Marsden Cyclops or Mystique the same way Hugh Jackman Wolverine or Tobey Maguire Spider-Man had audience appeal. I meant moreso his character arc where he finally matures, loses a parental figure, gets a much more firsthand experience with why he shouldn't kill, and by the end of it is finally full-on Spider-Man. He goes from a kid who's biggest concern is his friends getting into college at the start to, well, Spider-Man at the end. They've done enough Multiversal stuff already I really hope they don't fully throw in the other Spider-Men before Secret Wars. I also don't want Daredevil and Punisher to be tainted by Doomsday, which is neither tonally something they'd fit well in nor something I have faith will be good. Born Again has been choppy but so far they've done the Punisher very well (allegedly due more to Jon Bernthal than disney, but they gave him a special presentation for it, so I'll give them credit.), and I don't need to see him giving Victor 5 big dooms. -

I think the only one that definitively was because of the UCS set was the AT-AT. The Venator having a clone BP after it doesn't mean anything more than the clone BP this year after the Sail Barge last year. We just get a lot of clone BPs. As much as I'd like an OT imperial battle pack, I think between clone mania and the Night Trooper pack it's unlikely we see one with normal stormies/navy troopers/scouts/other variants anytime soon. I would love to be proven wrong though. I would count the rebels outfit as it's still Tarkin, just a different uniform. But yes, it's very rare, which is why I think it's important he shows up in a system set soon. -

I think it's the other way around- lego is a lot more likely to revisit Mando S1 than Rogue One or Andor Given the way the theme is going, most figures who aren't re-uses. As for characters, unfortunately I think all of the new ones. I think it's important we see Tarkin in a system set again but he's an OT noncombatant, I don't think lego cares or thinks he's a draw anymore. Same with Krennic. As for the other officers and Ministry of Silly Hats I think most of them stay exclusive but that doesn't bother me as much- while I'd like a silly hat minifigure I can understand them being exclusives, you'd have to do a full year of imperial vehicles to slot them all in sets. I still can't get over "we're not locking desirable characters behind UCS sets anymore" and then proceeding to make a significant chunk of the figures included in UCS sets exclusive. Yularen is at least a little understandable from lego's perspective, largely being a background officer in TCW (though I just realized it's fairly likely that 2 out of Yularen's 3 figures will be UCS exclusives come october) who would really only make sense in another venator. Kuill is a major character in Mando S1 who would work in a number of sets based off the show (a new RC, his homestead and/or a blurrg based set, you could reasonably place him alongside a TIE outlander, etc.)
