Marvel Superheroes 2021 - Rumors & Discussion
Mandalorianknight replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
Sylvie comes with Croki, and as such will be the first marvel set I have purchased since 2019. as a whole sylvie looks great, I think the face works pretty well, and I've been loving loki, so I'll definately be getting the figures for that show. Spidey looks good too, but nothing unique for him, just a different logo for the theme park, so I'll pass. -
Hey, one set being partially accurate in an entire wave could be close...I still have hope! But yeah this list is hilariously fake, feels like someone made a wishlist and then made the expensive silver angel set to try and throw people off since that arc is...not well liked.

Thanks! Ironically it was only one more part than the actual set. I made this as part of a Mandalorian wave earlier this year. It looked like the geode piece they use in the city sets, though contextually an unprinted helmet makes more sense than a random lump of beskar, especially since they only seem to receive it in bars in the show. -

Maybe like this? I do like the set, even if the armorer's helmet is a bit odd. -
General Star Wars Discussion and Questions

No. It's confirmed non canon, very experimental, and seems pretty crazy (There's some guy riding the nose of an x-wing? Absolutely badass, but definately non-canon). -

It does look great, though I would like to see some clearer images as the angle doesn't show off that much of the interior on the left. -
What's your recent LEGO Star Wars Purchase?
Mandalorianknight replied to KimT's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Thanks! They're oft-scorned sets due to how many lego makes, but the landspeeder models are really quite nice builds. It is a great set, especially if you didn't have mando and grogu yet. -

I mean no offense to you, but those movies make the theatrical justice league look like the dark knight. -

New sets are tempting, I really want the spider-men of each set and doctor strange. 4+ FFH set is great for a 4+ set, giving the fixed spidey and mysterio from those films. The drone set is the most confusing. It claims to be inspired by homecoming...but the only aspect there is vulture. Add in the massive golden drone and the anti-ock suit, complete with arm printing... call me crazy but I think they're hiding something and this is partially based off no way home. (I mean, the drone is probably just random but there's no way they'd make a random gold suit for the homecoming set when they could have re-used the homecoming spidey.) I think that's the "Gold suit" from the leaked funko list and the one in the sanctum set is the "integrated suit" in that the iron spider is integrated into the suit. -
MOC - INSTRUCTIONS - The Razor Crest (midi-plus scale)

That's pretty cool, it's very unique to have midiscale vibes but at almost 1500 parts. It looks to be around the same size as the official one, right? -

I thought the mystery set was the mando forge? These rumors are too hard to keep track of So based off the assumption that they're separate, we have this for upcoming sets: August/officially revealed: Duel on Mandalore, Trexler Marauder, Slave One, Bo-Katan's gauntlet, Gideon's cruiser, meditation chamber. Leaked proof of set but not officially revealed: Mando Forge figure leaks. Reliably Leaked: Republic gunship, 2hy UCS that most likely is an AT-AT. And also another mystery set? agh, I pre-ordered mine and now I'm cancelling it. this is megablocking dumb, my pre-order wouldn't come in until august but I can get it a month earlier by just buying it off walmart! Falcon is legitimate, just so you know. He won't fake stuff. Slightly off-topic, my UCS slave one arrives saturday! I'm so excited! -

I've been thinking this forever, my moff gideon purist custom uses the FO officer from the TIE fighter, which is that same skin tone. Honestly Lego's never been great with skin tones for the shows: Ezra and Sabine use the light flesh when they have darker skin. (And ezra has dark blue hair, not black) Kanan and Cara use a darker flesh color when they've got lighter skin. -

I feel a disturbance in the force, as if a million clone wars fanboys started typing... I think it depends. One the one hand, not only is boba more popular, but it's his iconic ship, slave one, as opposed to Ahsoka with a separatist tank. On the other hand, that was the first CW ahsoka in 7 years, whereas boba's been available in at least one set every couple years since 2001. Personally I just bought the UCS one, so I'm fine waiting 6-8 months for a discount. It looks to me like it's the head from episode 6 and the torso from episode 7. -

Weirdest part is it's not even just a lazy reuse, because they made a new print for boba's helmet. The figure in the slave one set has a new, exclusive helmet print...in a different color than the torso print. But the mando and tcw sets both leaked in the same way, and lego proceeded to officially announce only the clone wars sets, then send the package to the VA. They could have done what they did with the mando sets and not officially announce them until legocon. -

Just bought Slave One (UCS) off ebay. Got it for a good price and it's 100% complete with all figs in mint condition, can't wait for it to arrive. -

Yeah, the mods would be one of the best things about the set. It is SO confusing that they sent a promo to ahsoka's VA and didn't have any payoff, but it's even weirder when you realize it's the clone wars VA and not the Mandalorian voice actor, so there is literally no connection. If they had "revealed" the clone wars sets at legocon, it would have made at least a little sense... -
Wishlist: Future Star Wars Sets and Minifigures
Mandalorianknight replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Sounds fun, my turn. I'm using three of the sets from your list, but I have some changes in figure count or design specification. Prequels: ETA-2 ($199.99): Anakin's ETA-2 with Anakin Skywalker (arm printing for robotic arm), and R2-D2 (turning head and part for a third leg. ARC-170 ($349.99): Basic republic colors. Comes with Captain Jag and 2 clone pilots (covered faces) MTT ($599.99): Massive MTT with interior cockpit and droid rack, though even then it can't come close to figure scale. TPM colors. Comes with forty b1 battle droids. Original Trilogy: Luke's Landspeeder ($199.99): Not a joke, it could be pretty cool. Huge luke's landspeeder with Luke Skywalker (poncho, hat) and C-3po (dual-molded leg for his silver leg) Slave 1 ($399.99): I know we already have one but it's widely regarded as the best UCS set and it's resale prices are insane. Updated, larger model with passenger deck. Comes with Boba Fett (Arm printing, dual molding, the works), Carbonite Han, Lando, and a stormtrooper (arm printing). Home One ($699.99): Massive home one. Interior works similarly to the UCS falcon, where certain sections open up. Has interior bridge, briefing room, and microscale hanger containing 2 microscale A-wings. Comes with Admiral Ackbar (dual molded arms), a Mon Cala crewmate, and an A-wing pilot. Sequel Trilogy: Black 1 ($299.99): The ship is of sentimental value to me as TFA reignited my love for star wars, and I bought the set immediately after seeing the film, which then brought me back into legos. A large version of Poe's X-wing with Poe Dameron (arm printing), and BB-8. TIE silencer ($349.99): Large TIE silencer with Kylo Ren (arm printing), Rey, and Supreme Leader Snoke. Resistance Bomber ($549.99): Massive resistance bomber with a pilot, co-pilot, bomber, engineer, and gunner. It's the red one, too. Shows: Havoc Marauder ($399.99): Bad Batch's shuttle with interior cockpit, bunks, console, and gunnery station/omega's room. Comes with Hunter, Wrecker, Tech, Echo, and Omega. The Ghost ($499.99): Massive VCX-100 with interior cockpit, ezra/zeb's room, Sabine's room, hera/kanan's room, and the room with the couch and holotable. Comes with s4 versions of Kanan, Hera, Chopper, Zeb, Sabine, and Ezra. The Razor Crest ($449.99): Razor Crest with interior cockpit, baby yoda's room, the gun locker, carbonite freezer, and bathroom. Comes with s2 versions of The Mandalorian, Baby Yoda (with pod build), Cara Dune, Greef Carga, Boba Fett, and Fennec Shand. -

Exactly. Even if the motor power or connection points increase, This only works if the figures are a mangled snowtrooper corpse and barely breathing general veers. (Fun fact: canonically his life is saved by a trooper who's designation is based off a Veers superfan) -

Yeah, that's what I meant, they'd only cancel an $800 set if there was some sort of structural problem. And I can't see lego doing a non-posable AT-AT set with a base. With something the size of an $800 AT-AT, I think the stress on those 5 pins would be above what lego allows in their sets. -

My 8th grade geometry teacher told us assuming makes a angle-side-side out of you and me, if anyone's fluent in geometric proofs (or acronyms). Yeah, the patchwork color scheme is what stops me from getting it. It looks more like something the pirates would have then the actual imperial vehicle (doesn't the mythrol call it "mint condition" or something in the episode?) It'd be interesting shapes for the legs, at least. Though that's another major point, I don't believe any at-ats at a scale that big have been made without the pieces requiring glue. True, most likely if the set was rumored at that size by reputable leakers it'll still exist in some form. It's not a huge issue to cancel a microfighter or something, but it's definately a big loss for them financially to cancel something that big. The only way I could see that happening is if they couldn't get it to work structurally, but I can't imagine they'd even greenlight such a set if the designers hadn't found a way to get it to work. -

I'm starting to wonder if the UCS AT-AT even exists, as it this point it's starting to seem like the gunship is just the 2hy d2c. I was assuming that since it was a fan vote set, it would be an additional set and release sometime between the 1hy d2c (r2) and 2hy d2c (rumored at-at), but as jdubbs and thelegobatman have made very clear to eachother, you know what happens when you assume -
DC Superheroes 2021 - Rumors & Discussion
Mandalorianknight replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
...what? Superheroes fight "oppressive systems" all the time in comics. Off the top of my head, half the main heroes of both major comic companies have fought some form of nazis (though admittedly that was during ww2 and I think the only heroes that fought the nazis in the current canons are captain america, wonder woman, and wolverine due to their lifespans/when they became active), one of batman's new biggest villains is a secret society that controls the city, there's the injustice games where superman creates an oppressive system and batman has to stop it, there's red son, etc. Captain america fought isis in an mcu tie in comic, most of the marvel characters fight oppressive organizations like hydra, governments like latveria, or companies like aim. There are so many examples. I think after batman superman and wonder woman are roughly tied, with flash somewhat behind them, then the rest of the main justice league like green lantern, cyborg, aquaman, etc. I know as a kid the only characters where I knew multiple villains for with respect to dc were batman and superman. (I think I knew one each for flash, wonder woman, green lantern, etc) -

The weirdest part was that it sometimes did seem geared towards afols, and then 5 seconds later it's like an episode of a preschool cartoon or something. I remember when I was a kid I always went to target with my mom when she got groceries so I could look in the lego aisle for new sets, and I had this fabric wallet that never had more than $20 in it (back when that was enough for a mid-range set and the $50 sets were what goes for $80 now). Weird tangent aside, I never would have known about lego con, especially since they only announced it around a month before it happened. If you advertise it primarily on social media, your demographic is going to be teens and afols. Since the argument has shifted from slave one to the constant norm of "you fool! Lego is actually for *demographic*", I'll wade back in. Legos are primarily for kids, and the system sets are made mainly with kids in mind. Clearly, based on the fact that (I'm guessing) everyone here is either in their late teens or an adult, it's not uncommon for adults to get them, but we don't make up more than, I'd guess, 5-10% (and that's being generous) of the sales for system sets. It's not weird for an adult to get the new slave one or the cruiser or bo-katan's gauntlet, but we aren't the people the designers are thinking of when they make them. Which makes the whole legocon thing even weirder. I think the best bet for that concept is for them to do a physical convention with some panels meant for afols and some meant for kids (obviously a kid could show up to the afol ones and vice versa, I just mean they'd make clear the intended demographic of each panel.) -
Wishlist: Future Star Wars Sets and Minifigures
Mandalorianknight replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
That was just a wishlist of the sets I'd want more than anything else, so it's kind of funny that it ended up being from all trilogies. You're right that there might be too many figures, I usually go off the concept that the amount of figures for non battle packs is comparable to the US price divided by 10 (so a $40 set would have 4 figs, $20 would have 2, etc), but it's been a good 5 years or so since that's been true for this theme. Those sound great, I forgot the second one existed but it's a nice design, reminds me of the hound's tooth. I think given that the new one is much cheaper, a recolor of the 2021 slave one with jango, boba, and obi-wan could work for 2022-2023. If you're going off the 20th thing you could have the classic figures too, like Jango, a clone trooper, obi-wan, anakin, and mace windu in order of the list.
