  1. The smaller or more obscure the store, the better your odds. Alternatively, you might want to check Facebook Marketplace. Some friends of mine use it, and I've seen them pull absurd deals (Sealed Dagobah Training diorama for $60, sealed UCS gunship for... I want to say $250?, etc)
  2. I feel like saying the ship does a fair job spoiling the context, so you might want to edit your comment. Either way, appearing I mean, it's a completely different colored and looking ship, so no, probably not. The ship from the new BB would be cool. I'd say we'll never get it, but we got the justifier, so...
  3. If someone could PM me the leaked cowl I would very much appreciate it.
  4. Definately agree. The set comes out June First, right? I'd be surprised if we didn't have anything by the end of the first week of April.
  5. Assumably because the fang fighter vs tie interceptor is also a SW set. I mean look, we can speculate all day, but at the end of it the only two figs we can be reliably sure are in the set are the mandalorian loyalist and a TIE pilot.
  6. My money is on Klarion the Witch Boy. Jokes aside it's most likely a variant of Iron man or Cap as @Nylock suggests. Maybe a new Miles or something.
  7. I would say 4 in a $90 set is crazy, but so far we've had a $35 set with 2 and a $50 with 2.5, which tracks to 3.833 figures for a $90 set. So I expect a Mando Loyalist, TIE Pilot, The Mandalorian, and... someone with a missing arm I guess.
  8. There are a couple things I'd add (BoP was also R, I believe, and we did get a Shazam polybag and a loose tie-in, if not a dedicated system set), but this is generally pretty accurate. That is a really nice purist custom, I think I'll be making that one myself. (Though it reminds me that the official BVS armored suit doesn't use that cowl but the type 2 cowl, when the type 3 cowl seems MADE for the armored suit)
  9. I just meant all the other protectors being dead. It'd be pretty easy to "some of them were off planet and he just didn't know" if they for some reason wanted more in The Mandalorian S3. New chopper head mold that has holes to attach those 1L claw pieces that you can in turn attach guns to. There's definately an excuse: Old republic content is from 10-20 year old legends games that aren't currently super popular (I'm excluding the fact that they're playable in GoH, because EVERYONE is playable in GOH. Coruscant non-clone police. Admiral Raddus. Ima-Gun-di. 5 separate Jawa characters. Multiple generic old republic sith. Something like 7 or 8 different nightsisters.) , whereas Jedi is a very successful current game franchise that even now only has one set. I'd love a new Satele Shan, or a Jedi Knight Revan (or the forge armor or whatever they called it in KOTOR. Revan with the white robes), or Bastila, or Carth, or any of them, but let's face it, sets with them really wouldn't sell great, since only relatively hardcore fans even know them.
  10. It was only 14+, IIRC. They could definately do a 14+ Mantis as one of the upcoming sets. Again, not saying it's likely, just that it is a viable option. Oh man, I love this one. He literally just painted it. At least the death star leak had effort put into it. Filoni plays fast and loose with extended lore, plus it's likely that they've trained more mando pilots in the usage of fang fighters by this point, but I agree, if lego had the concept art of Fenn, they should put him in the set.
  11. It's unlikely, but possible. And man, I hope it does happen, as unlikely as it is. The Jedi series is my favorite star wars content outside the films. They made a $170 Justifier last year. I'm not saying the mantis is coming, but stranger things have happened. That said, people actually want the mantis. So my money's on the rebel transport from Kenobi being the 1083 pc set, and the 1394 pc set being a TIE echelon or UCS Cad Bane's hat. They did say that around release, but since I literally have an official lego fallen order set on my desk right now, I think we can say they've moved on. No, he's right. There was a designer interview back around the time the game came out that stated that as their reason. Of course, BD-1 exists, so clearly they've gone back on that. I think that the "too violent" reason was clearly BS from the start, but it's what they claimed.
  12. This happened to a lot of sets. I don't think it's got anything to do with Indy specifically, unless we think The Mandalorian sets are in a similar place. I think some of them have. IIRC Ashnflash also seemed to believe there was still a chance it was just delayed, but the whole thing is such a confusing quagmire, so who knows.

  14. Very nice, I think the top part is definately the best STAP moc I've seen.
  15. It's not, as the head is definately not Fenn Rau. Unless he got seriously tan and dyed his eyebrows. Though it is interesting that a head is included at all for a generic mando. I wonder if maybe the head isn't meant for that figure.
  16. To everyone saying it's not the same... sure. It's not the exact same situation. Instead of a larger number of people committing a lower number of crimes, it was one dude going on a geneva convention speedrun. But I feel like making a minifigure of a character played by the IRL reverse flash is at least around the same level as making a set based on an IP owned by a company that had a number of people who committed harassment. It's not like the employees played the characters in the game (one character's name aside). I don't think either set should be (or have been) cancelled, I'm just saying that the justification lego gives for cancelling that set is a little dulled when they're finally giving us another reverse flash minfig. I KNOW! It's one of my favorite DCEU movies. The dragon would have been an awesome set, as would the daughters of atlas have been excellent figs (Also, it's most notable with Kalypso, but their costumes bear similarities to wonder woman's, which is super cool since they've got the same lore background). If anything, it'd just be sad that we likely wouldn't be able to get all the daughters, much less the full Shazamily. They could maybe have done a second set based on the Shazamily lair, but I can't see the 2 sets individually including 9+ unique figs between them.
  17. Same here. It's got to be soon, too, right? The movie itself comes out in only a few months. Though I maintain that if they make this set, they've got no grounds for cancelling stuff like the overwatch 2 set anymore.
  18. You're right. Not quite what I meant, but I suppose that also solves the issue. He could, or the mech could come with a new OT boba. I'm almost leaning towards the latter, just because I can't see anyone at lego thinking it's a good idea to put the exact same minfigure (or the same minifigure with a slightly different helmet) as the only minifig in 2 small sets less than a year apart. It feels like it's begging for one of them to cannibalize the sales of the other.
  19. I don't want to speculate too much since this isn't the thread for it, but I'm gonna say it's almost certainly not a falcon cockpit if it only has one minifigure. There's some real potential there, then. Ahsoka can hopefully get us a nice build for a temple of some sort, and those other three are the right piece count for a falcon/fondor/mantis/gunship size of ship. (Not that that's what they'll be, of course). It is weird that they're starting to stagger 2hy now. (Obviously the ahsoka ones are probably due to release date, but I doubt both the other 2 are because of that too). I don't know if I prefer it to the single august wave or not. On the one hand, it spreads out discussion and anticipation, but on the other, it's harder to decide my HY purchases in advance. (Which might be part of the intention, lego might be hoping people err on the side of buying more of the august wave if it's all that's out, then seeing excellent September sets and getting them too.) In which case, joke's on them, I'm so broke I'm not sure if I can even get to college next year. I'm getting the Indiana Jones tomb with a gift card I scrounged up, but they aren't getting a penny out of me for the rest of this year unless unrefined coaxium happens to drop out of the sky into my hands.
  20. Me too. "Hair splitting" is just arguing over extreme technicalities, like how the bomber is *technically* in Return of the Jedi or how while the clone wars anniversary is *technically* for Clone Wars 2003, it's being used for any clone wars era content. MKAJosh's just telling us we've got to stop arguing about it. That's interesting. I didn't even realize the 1394 set was different than the 1083 set. The fact that we've got 2 big boys coming (These are alongside the ahsoka sets, right? Not the two ahsoka sets, just releasing the same day?), does give me some hope that we'll get at least one of the mantis, fondor, gunship, or the other highly-requested large ships. That said, it could always just be the skeleton crew ship and TIE echelon or something. Lego's done stranger things before.
  21. Now that's interesting, and gives a bit of hope. Has anyone actually found the assumable design flaw? It's not necessarily like it'd be visible from the box, but I don't see anything there.
  22. source: It came to me in a dream That's hilarious. I do wonder how these'll sell. The snubfighter lacks any recognizable characters or anything particularly desirable, and the N-1 is just absurdly overpriced (60% more than other microfighters in the US), while also lacking anything desirable, given how common Mando and Grogu are. Maybe Grogu gets some sales, but you can't walk down the lego aisle of a store without exiting with a surplus of Din minifigures. I think we're actually agreeing on some points (that they are using the 20th anniversary of 03 clone wars just for clones in general, although it is inarguable that the anniversary logo on the box is of clone wars 03), but it seems contradictory to claim that the anniversary is for anything clone wars but that a clone trooper battle pack "is as relevant to “Clone Wars” as a tie bomber or x wing".
  23. It's the 20th anniversary of clone wars. Clearly they are using it as an anniversary for anything related to clones (which I'll remind you, this whole conversation started because you were arguing that the 501st specialists battle pack ), but the major 03 clone wars project was, well, clone wars 03. It's not like they're referring to the 20th anniversary of a year after AOTC, or the 20th anniversary of 5 years before TCW. Might be a bit too early to call the unseen sets Ws yet, but the ones that have been revealed are definately excellent. Lego Star Wars has been doing great since the end of the new-film waves.
  24. I know. The fact that the star of the best movie of 2022 not only was interested enough to ask for a private screening, but LOVED IT, really hypes me up. I still think they need to at least put Miller on trial, but just because one of the actors is a criminal IRL doesn't make the movie itself bad. They probably will, but since we don't know for sure that the cowl and torso that leaked are part of the same fig, I suppose it's possible that it doesn't. What we can see of the batmobile looks great, one of the best yet. I hope it's got more than 2 figs, but if the rest of the build is consistent with what we see here, I might have to pick it up regardless.
