  1. Good list, I'll add one set from each season that gets a few of the figs added (Just vehicles I want): S1: TIE Outlander ($59.99): TIE Outlander (2021-scaled, slightly larger) alongside a Blurrg and speeder with Moff Gideon, Beskar Mando, Kuill, a Scout Trooper, and Baby Yoda (swaddle) S2: Imperial Lander ($89.99): Imperial troop lander with 4x stormtrooper, 1x mortar trooper, Tython Boba Fett, and Fennec Shand S3: Mandalorian Gozanti ($139.99): Larger, tie-less gozanti with Axe Woves, Koska Reeves, the Armorer (jetpack), apocolyptic mando leader, Charles Baker's Mando, 1x covert mando, 1x nite owl, and Maybe something like this?
  2. Very nice for a first real-world MOC! I definately see this fitting in as a republic auxiliary transport.
  3. The BD-1 statue set would have implied such a thing, but alas, we have no evidence of any Fallen Order sets coming in 2023, and we know just about every set coming in the last half of the year. Hope survives for 2024, though!
  4. Great battle pack idea, I especially like the mouse droid police inclusion. Oh, sorry. I just saw your username and Ventress and immediately went into fight-or-flight at the prospect of trying to design that thing again. Rebels definately need a battle pack. Fleet troopers, endor, NR, etc, so many options.
  5. Part of me wants every set on this list, which means the other part of me fears for my wallet. Excellent choices. This set is one I plan on adding to my wishlist wave, based on my mando S3 finale:
  6. Ok, but you see how if it's "The general situation could have happened offscreen", not to mention that , the set's really not that accurate. It's another case of Lego just not being provided with the right information due to secrecy, but it is funny to me how inaccurate the set is. I think in general, the season really just needed a Gauntlet fighter, Corsair, or one of the captured mandalorian ships as a set. Keeping the same price points, for mando S3 I would have done:
  7. It would be silly, but we've seen weird stuff from lego before, and there are technically batmobiles on shelves now, even if not the keaton one. I could also see them re-releasing the set as a Burton set and just swapping Flash for Joker or something. The issue is that it is Ezra's flash. Now personally, I'm in your corner. The Flash is not literally Ezra Miller. But given the other sets lego has cancelled, I respect the consistency. Yeah, the writing's on the wall. Nah, replace the fig with Grant Gustin. The CW flash set everyone wanted like a decade ago finally arrives.
  8. Very nice, I like seeing the process behind it here, and think it turned out well as a sleek, small batboat.
  9. Totally agree. Bionicle Medium brown, or the newer medium brown used on Reva, would have been the best color. I'm literally planning on starting it tonight if I have the time. Such a nice little $30 set piece.
  10. I'm not super keen on the dark tan, but the speeder design does look nice. It is really annoying. On the bright side, a standard white clone torso (or, if you want, a sandtrooper torso to get the ammo pouch, though it'll be on the wrong side) with a clone head, the luke hair in tan, blue arms, and 501st trooper legs with a black Kama and pauldron gets you pretty close to at least an unhelmeted rex for cheap.
  11. For all intents and purposes it sounded like a Keaton Batmobile set with a flash minifigure. I don't think they cancelled it over that.
  12. My bad, guys. (Dude, sometimes my life feels like a monkey's paw. I get what I want, in such a way it's a negative.) I maintain my respect for lego not being hypocritical in their values, but it's of course better for them to just release the sets in general.
  13. So Batman is back to being all that remains of Lego DC. We haven't had another hero since 2020. I'll grant lego that they aren't hypocritical with their "brand values", but I still disagree with the removal of the set. The only sets we're getting this year, that we know of, are a constraction batman and the two Keaton sets. Far from the revival it at first seemed. I'm sure we'll still get batman film sets for some time, but I don't think it's impossible that batman becomes a subset of lego icons within the next 5 years. "So falls the house of Wayne", as Alfred would say.
  14. "cancelled" is, generally speaking, when someone is fired for things they said on social media. If you're on video attacking people and have reports of breaking and entering, assault, battery, grooming, kidnapping, etc in multiple states, you are a "monster". These both seem generally reasonable. On r/DCEU leaks there have been a couple sources claiming that Gunn has met with all the JL actors, and supposedly they are opening to Miller returning. (Also, of course he hasn't worked again since, he's got multiple movies that aren't out yet. Regardless, Gunn's on the record saying that they haven't yet decided "the best path forewords" with him.) And I feel like just the fact that while when other actors/actresses are cancelled for saying stuff on twitter, the company condemns them, whereas they haven't said pretty much anything about Ezra Miller despite his, again, multiple violent crimes, is pretty good evidence that they aren't sure of being done with him yet. But we're getting off topic. I suppose we don't know for sure that the Flash set is even coming, though at this point I am not optimistic, I feel like they would have revealed it alongside all the other flash merch today.
  15. The system Pattmobile and Tumbler are still on shelves, and while not the Burton batmobile, it's still a way to get batmobiles. Cancelling the Flash Batmobile would be a weird move, but not the most insane thing they've ever done. (Which in my opinion is cancelling sets when they were produced and had copies set to retailers, such as the Osprey. That said, we know the Flash Batmobile was in some form of production due to the torso leak, so who knows?) Not to keep derailing it, but yeah, 100%. It's more effective on people who aren't famous, so there's not as much media, but off the top of my head, Cara Dune and Ralph Dibney haven't worked in hollywood since they were cancelled. (Gina Carano went on to do a film for a company outside of hollywood, as far as I can tell Hartley Sawyer hasn't been in anything since he was fired.). It definately ruins people's careers. Which just makes me more mad that Ezra's reportedly being considered to continue as flash, since neither of my above examples were ACTUAL CRIMINALS. Ah, got ninja'd, that was my example! And yeah, it would be better to know SOMETHING. At this point, I'm back to I was before the "lego batman will have sets this summer" news in terms of worry about the theme. The only things we're getting are tie-ins to films, like in 2021, and we might not even be getting the tie-in to a new film, just old ones. The new cowl mold and BTAS skyline leak are the only things keeping me hopeful that they do intend to give the theme a larger continuation than the occasional film set.
  16. What I can see of it looks good. Who is Atom Smasher fighting? It looks almost like The Spectre, but I've never seen him potrayed as a giant.
  17. It would, but we've seen stranger things than that from lego before. The first option is possible. I definately don't think it's the second one, though. Most major brands are still comfortable with Flash merch, and for some reason Ezra's managed to avoid being "cancelled" despite, you know, being a monster. For all lego's talk about "brand values", I don't think they'd fail to release a flash set. (That said, if they don't, while I would be annoyed that they're cancelling sets over any controversy, I'd at least respect them not being hypocritical. If this releases, I'm just gonna be more annoyed about the ToD, and the Osprey, and the overwatch 2 set.) But, like you say, we really just don't know.
  18. So I've been procrastinating on some rather important things I should be doing, which has translated here into creating a spreadsheet to document how many every SW Advent calendar has had of figures, droids (Astromechs, battle droids, IG-units. Anything not using minifigure parts, but still using specialized parts), brick-built characters, micro builds, and system builds. Based on that, I've come to this conclusion for the upcoming calendar: 5 minifigures, 1-2 droids, 0-1 brick-built character, 10-13 microbuilds, and 3-7 system builds. (system builds have the most variability. In 2020, we didn't get a single one, but in 2021 we had 7.) The lowest number ever of figs in an advent calender was 5 (Highest was a whopping 8 full-on minifigs and a droid in 2016, wish I picked that one up), so I'd guess we have at least two figures left. In addition, every set since 2017 has had at least 2 new prints, so I'd guess one of them will be christmas themed. I can't say anything for sure, but here's my personal guess: We usually get a desirable unique fig, a desirable army-builder, and 2-3 figs that feel like leftover stock alongside the christmas figs. So my guess is we'll get a TIE pilot or Hoth rebel as the last non-exclusive fig, and for the other exclusive fig, I think Boba Fett is the most likely choice, though for some reason I could really see Greef Karga in a christmas sweater. I could also see them putting Fennec in instead of the pilot or hoth trooper if boba's the other christmas fig, with the helmet thrown in a build somewhere, but that might be too optimistic. We've gotten a B1, IG unit, or both every year since 2017. Since IG-88 hasn't been in any sets recently, and IG-11 was in the 2021 calendar, I'd say a B1 is definately coming. Yup, there've been at least two exclusive figs every year since 2019, and two exclusive fig prints every year since 2017. Since the Ewok only has one new print, I think another christmas fig is more or less guranteed.
  19. I might use this one now, using grey as cadets is genius! There's a lore discrepancy with the baby astronaut being blue, but it's not like there's any actual lore anyway. Plus, you could just say it's a costume or something, like kids dressing as police officers. At the end of the day we don't have official color meanings, so it's up to you. If you want pink as medical, no one's stopping you.
  20. I don't think the flash set comes out in may, and I'm starting to fear it might not release at all.
  21. Hmm, that's fair. I definately wouldn't say the pattern is in any way evidence that a UCS AT-TE is coming, but I suppose you're right that if lego's confident enough in the AT-TE to put out a $140 set, they could hypothetically be confident enough to put out a UCS one. I mean, it's not like he was insulting you, just stating his disinterest in the GWPs? There's no lack of civility to return. But not up to me to decide, I guess. In an effort to get back on something resembling the actual topic, what do you guys think of the recent GWP dispersal? This is the second year in a row it's gone micro-vehicle at $40, non-lego item at $80ish, and exclusive set at $150ish. I really like the fact that there's GWPs for multiple levels of purchases, and I also like that they're divided between non-lego things that wouldn't be sold in general, the mini vehicle polybags, and more interesting exclusive sets, even if the specific one we're getting this year for the highest GWP tier is rough IMO.
  22. Sorry for the necrobump, but I noticed these when I came back to update my list. All that account's comments are like that, I think he's trying to do some sort of RPG game and is just a little confused as to which parts of the forum are for those games. (Actually, as am I. I see references to them in people's signatures, but have never stumbled across one.) This is my list of color meanings now: White: Pilot. Just a generic spacecraft pilot. common color, classic astronaut color in real life- pilot. Just where my mind goes. Red: Engineering. The engineers fix and maintain existing ships and equipment as well as working on advancements. Another common color for another common occupation needed for spacemen. Also, I'm a mechanical engineer-or at least studying to be one, and my favorite color is red. Sue me. Blue: Security. Space has a lot of unknowns. Blue provides security against any potential hostile aliens, as well as other groups such as Blacktron. Again, common color- common occupation needed. Benny helmets and scratched torsos can be attributed to the more combative nature of the job. Yellow: Communications. Planetary atmospheres aren't all the same, and interplanetary communications require specialists. Another common color and needed role. Black: Scientist/analyst. The black spacemen analyze material samples for possible uses, as well as studying any potential life found on new planets. The last of the 5 classic colors, and the fifth common role I could think of. Orange: Fleet Admiral. The orange suits are worn only by fleet admirals, who serve as logisticians, organizing the explorative efforts. In the event of an attack, fleet admirals have the authority to organize a defense. Entirely due to the fact that the fig only appeared in the one book. Rare=higher ranking, or at least that's how I'm doing it. Green: Mining/Resource Acquisition. More commonly referred to as mech jockeys, the green spacemen do the heavy lifting in obtaining new resources scientists have found innovative uses for. If I remember correctly we still don't have the newer helmets in green, so the difference in shape and added clear visors could be expanded air filters for dealing with dangerous chemicals in the mines. The exo-suit could also be seen as a mining device. Pink: Pilot who accidentally put his clothes in the wash at the same time as red. An unfortunately common occurrence. These pilots are more commonly seen on ground vehicles due to washer mishaps being more common on planetside outposts, where newly-set up machinery can often be faulty, and engineers have more pressing matters to attend to. I thought the comment here saying that was funny. Again, sue me. LBG: roboticist. Specialist in robotics, usually working in sealed labs to keep all elements decontaminated. Just another role I thought would be helpful, and since we don't have helmets in LBG yet IIRC, the lack of helmets could be due to them doing their work in pressurized labs or something. Purple: medical. Space can be dangerous, and medics have to be constantly adapting to deal with a variety of wounds and illnesses on new planets. I would have given it to pink, but I liked the washing machine joke, and we need medics... so purple it is. Brown: instructor/caretaker. On larger outposts and colonies, where children are present, brown signifies the spacemen guiding the new generation. Maybe they should be a more commonly needed role on space stations due to them now being the cheapest astronaut, but I'd prefer to keep those as the classic 5 colors. Plus, they come with the baby astronaut, so the role was obvious.
  23. Yeah. Were there more IJ sets coming, I wouldn't have a single gripe about the figs, but if there's only 3 sets, the mummy is really a waste of a spot. Still a good-looking fig, though! The map room would have been nice as well. They could have put it behind the wall on the level above the mummy, and it would only have added ~50 pieces. Only that one, though. The other two were overpriced at first (The tomb was DOUBLE!) but have since returned. At least, when I got the tomb at target it was back down to $40.
  24. Exactly! There aren't any intentional patterns, just coincidences. Oh, and wait, hold on. @Flawless Cowboy, doesn't the venator break your pattern argument? We haven't had one since 09. Yeah, the GWPs aren't anything special this year. I'm excited for that coin/death star plans one, though. I think it'll be interesting. You're gonna get the mods on your back, man, be civil. (Also, did it occur to you that your comment is about as useless?)
