  1. Awesome! Thanks for the info. I feel like they're pretty good about giving backpack troopers backpacks. Probably helps that it's normally unprinted non-figure parts. Where are people revealing this stuff? Assuming multiple eyes means more than two (right? Literally speaking, multiple eyes pretty much only rules out the diagona), I'm really not sure who it could be- most of the major SW creatures (wampa, rancor, Krayt Dragon (both), etc have two eyes. It seems weird to do only one arena beast, and just "that's a weird choice" weird, not absolutely-guns-blazing weird like some of the other sets this wave, so my guess is either they're going guns blazing and it's something much more obscure, or there's some obvious answer we're all missing. I'm 99% sure it's cloth in that image, did a source say plastic or is it just a guess? Just the head- same places as Fives
  2. Welp, looks like I was wrong, I guess. The anniversary plate is weird, but the figure itself is pretty solid. The Pauldron's an interesting shape- I guarantee you they'll be advertising it as if it folds down over the torso on the sides- but with the antenna and backpack, should be a pretty good figure. I'm still not 100% sold on it's legitimacy to be honest, but falconfan posting it would seem to confirm it's real. The Malak head is a little disappointing-he should have had a molded element for the jaw- but overall pretty good.
  3. Eh, that's fine. unique enough for a jedi starfighter and also a republic staple. Until reliable accounts repost or confirm it, I'm treating that fives leak as fake. something about it just seems water decaled, as does the 6x4 tile with the 25th logo. It's just the leaked logo exactly without fives's name or anything... I don't believe it. They usually put the character names on there, but even if they don't, the way this looks in the "leak" just feels off.
  4. I really hope you've seen another early prelim or something, because two figs, neither being jabba (and neither being anyone desirable like Slave/Huttslayer Leia or Max Rebo, let's be real), is insane for a Khetanna set. Definitely possible. By the way, did you notice the mods are giving us more titles/icons? You, me, and @NoOneOfImportance have little death stars under our names now, and Foggyfate is now "reliable Bothan #3" I wonder what the death star icon means. This set is so close to being Fortress Inquisitorius, it's such a neat thing. I like this idea of the anniversary figure sort of fitting into the general vibe, even if he wasn't literally there. Like sure, Cal was never on the death star, but he fought Vader and the empire in plenty of imperial bases. FoggyFate is a leaker who's assumably seen new images. I can't imagine he'd randomly just bring up his thoughts on the sail barge prelim leak this long after. I like the idea of tan or beige, something really "boring" and generic for, say, painted walls, but unique for a jedi starfighter. Though I've also seen a greyscale suggestion which would be a hilarious meta joke on how people complain we get too many "grey ships" or whatever. Though my honest guess is blue. We've had red, green, and yellow recently, and in most circumstances lego will take the easy path and just do another major color. That said, the easy path would have also included a normal millenium falcon, TIE, X-wing, and a jedi starfighter belonging to Anakin or Ahsoka, so... We've had plenty of sets that boil down to generic rooms/buildings. I think a death star playset with Vader, Cal Kestis, and some officers would do fine. On the other hand, is it possible this is a diorama?
  5. There's Jabba's throne and the bar, at the minimum. It's crazy to think that a UCS set will have less interior than it's system counterpart-a stock warship like a star destroyer makes sense, but this is Jabba's barge. You should be able to place jabba in the barge.
  6. I wouldn't be bothered at all. Makes it more accurate to his appearance in the show. I assume some sort of Chimera will come in the future given that all of Ahsoka S1 was showing how big of a threat Thrawn is. We'll see him again with a nice pressed suit. Yeah. If it doesn't have the skiff, figs, the pit, etc, you end up having no real scenes you can display. The barge isn't iconic because of the vehicle itself, like most starfighers, ships, and walkers. It's iconic as part of the setting of the scene.
  7. Ok the evil quinjet yeah, but the firefighter mech it seems like you just want for the figures would also be the greatest set of all time. He's been leaving clues of his existence for the entirety of the theme. We saw him physically appear in one of 2019's Far From Home sets. Once he collects the infinity extinguishers, it'll all be over for the Avengers. The coolest thing they could possibly do would be a full wave of sets based on the hit 2022 blockbuster Morbius starring Jared Leto. Just the name is enough to cause spider-man fans to collapse onto the floor, convulsing with immense pain. The real question is, if this is "evil" Hank Pym, and "good" Hank Pym slapped Wasp, would "evil" Hank Pym just be a kind and loving husband?
  8. Sorry, I should have been more clear. Of course there's a cost to the CAD development of a part, my point was more so that the physical molds are comparatively significantly more expensive. (Based on the little publicly availible salary info we do have, the designers aren't making multiple hundreds of thousands of dollars a year, and I seriously hope that the part designers are producing more than one part every year. While CAD software is expensive, again, cost per individual part shouldn't be too bad. Contrast that to the physical molds-I mean the mold as in the metal part the lego element is cast into-, which were said around a decade or so ago to be hundreds of thousands of dollars each to physically create.) What I was trying to get at was that reviving destroyed molds, even if they still have the CAD files, isn't likely to be much cheaper than creating entirely new ones. I have no data to back this up, but when I was a kid it felt like $10 per fig was more or less the standard for sub-$100 sets. That said, there's been plenty of inflation across just the 2020s alone, so roughly similar $ per fig is actually a solid improvement, especially when previous recent years have had some pretty low fig counts in a number of sets. Not to mention the Tantive, which still shocks me in terms of figures/cost, especially with one of them being Fives, who should have a new mold and at least one cloth element, even if he'll likely suffer from a printed-on Kama.
  9. I'm kind of liking the idea of it being Dark Tan or Beige- just a totally normal, "boring" color
  10. I touched on this recently, but it seems returning a mold from 2013, if it hasn't been used since, is the same cost as a new mold. Making the CAD file isn't the costly part, it's making the physical multi hundred-thousand dollar mold itself, and lego destroys them after an unknown (but seemingly significantly less than 11) number of years. To fit all 4 wings on the tie, each set of two wings (left and right) is gonna have to have some sort of connection frame between them. The cams/whatever they use for separation are usually placed further enough into the wings that they'll stay with the ship, so the only thing it really needs is clearance for an axle hole- I wouldn't be surprised if the TIE had a gear on the back to allow for it to also lock s-foils in attack position. Looks like Foggy's confirmed it for being the 2024 2HY set, yeah.
  11. Rare Renown opinion post. We now know whatever his source/opinion, he isn't high up enough to change this. I get where you're coming from, but the way I see it, it's an advent calendar. nice to get on sale for some cheap figs/parts, but at the end of the day it's not like most of the builds for the set work for a normal star wars setting either. It's not a normal set, it's a christmas set, and the christmas figs are a nice addition to it IMO. That said, I wouldn't complain if they went back to the non-christmas exclusive figures. The choices were a little odd- Exile Luke's other outfit, Antoc Merrick, etc- but it's still nice to get exclusives for figures we wouldn't otherwise get. The fact they did Enoch over a Night Trooper, which would have been easier, makes me think that a Night Trooper battle pack is coming january 2025.
  12. We do technically have an evil chewbacca- Black Krrsantan, even if over time he's turned more into a "morally ambigous chewbacca", but I assume this is literally an evil version of chewbacca, which is crazy, as is evil c-3po and infinities Vader. I almost wonder- especially since I have no clue what that blue armored gungan is- if there's some upcoming star wars infinities show that's somehow managed to avoid being leaked and this is a tie in for it. They'll never do it- especially seeing as he was on a team with a guy who's power is to commit a sex crime and dogwelder himself has a pretty literal powerset- but it would be hilarious to see him show up somewhere. No. It's Jonklin time.
  13. I see both perspectives- it's a christmas set, so it's fun to have a christmas Ahsoka, but at the same time it's nice to have one that can be used elsewhere, and the T-6 ahsoka isn't from the cheapest set. Supposedly it IS the T-6 ahsoka, which I like- GUNMETAL HANDS!, but I wouldn't have minded one with a festive sweater instead.
  14. Some fun joke sets based on the new leaks: Good Death Star ($169.99- just a large white sphere with the superlaser, paneled off. Some of the panels open for interior space): Good emperor (brown robe, force lightning elements replaced by force hug elements), Good Tarkin (exactly the same but with more hair and a different rank plaque), Evil Ben Kenobi (black robes), 2x suntrooper (yellow stormtroopers with the mouth vent looking like a smile instead of a frown), and a Max rebo fig in a small mech. Evil Republic gunship ($149.99- black gunship with blue highlights): Evil captain rex (black and red armor, inverted Jag eyes), 2x Evil Clone trooper (Black armor. Under the helmets, they look nothing alike), Evil Ahsoka Tano (black robes, taller top montrals), Good Grievous (just a normal minifig of his Kaleesh form), Dexter Jettster holding a non-star wars gun. Evil X-wing vs good TIE fighter ($109.99): Black and blue X-wing and white and yellow TIE fighter. Comes with Evil Pilot Luke (green flight suit with blue imperial cogs on black pilot helmet), Evil Leia (black robes), Evil Han Solo (black shirt with white jacket, dark red pants), Good TIE Pilot (white armor), Good Boba Fett (holiday special armor). Evil Luke's Landspeeder ($29.99): dark blue and dark green landspeeder with Evil Farmboy Luke (black tunic with snow printed on instead of sand), Evil R2-D2 (exactly the same as normal R2-D2), Evil Jawa (black robe, red eyes). Moustache Rebel's snowspeeder ($39.99): Moustache Rebel's snowspeeder (with a large moustache built on front) with Moutsache rebel, Jek Porkins 2, and 2x snowtrooper (2003 era design) Rebel Friend's speeder ($14.99): 2008 rebel combat speeder remake but with only one fig, Rebel Friend, and a minikit build.
  15. Oh, I don't think you know the Paul Lore. I'm just going to say it's very heavily connected to the fact that marvel writers seem to personally enjoy making Peter Parker's life as miserable as possible. That works for evil avengers, but the Millenium falcon includes a gungan in some sort of blue outfit, so I was trying to reference just the absurdity of the last pick compared to all the other slots of "evil good guy" and "good bad guy" You forgot Evil Professor X (No wheelchair) (He can walk)
  16. I'd be fine with either- any way to get more gunmetal hands... March on the Jedi Temple except it's March on the Lego House. Other reliable sources have either directly confirmed it or made comments implying they believe it to be true.
  17. The current state of marvel comics ($79.99): Marvel writer's room with 6 marvel writers, Spider-Man, and some guy named Paul. Includes an action feature where the writers can all kick the spider-man figure, shown curled up in a ball on the floor.
  18. Could easy be a literal rock vs the AT-AT board (AT@T board but they're minifigures printed to look like AT-ATs) with Harvey Birdman and also Harvey Specter from suits based on the lego star wars sets. Evil millenium falcon. Evil. Millenium. Falcon. Jonkler has been freed. The limits have been broken.
  19. It's Rebel Friend and Moustache Rebel, right? Like who else could it be? Maybe a Gonk Droid. Though I assume Darth Gonk is gonna be in the evil millenium falcon. He's been in an official game! Don't apply logic here. That all went out the window the second someone typed the words "evil millenium falcon" and the concept of what made a good lego set forever changed. We live in a new age now- the age of unknown blue armored gungan.
  20. We cannot rule out the fact that the Evil Falcon's gungan is, in fact, Boss Nass in senate commando gear.
  21. Based on the star wars leaks, I can give you a few sets from the marvel theme: Evil Quinjet ($149.99): Hydra Cap, Superior Iron Man, White Widow, Worthy Loki, Ant-Man holding a gun. Firefighter mech ($59.99): Firefighter's mech, covered in fire extinguishers, holding the gauntlet. Also includes deadpool and Hydra Bob. This is neither an endorsement or criticism of the new star wars sets, merely a reflection of the times. In the words of He Who Remains, "And we've crossed... the threshold"
  22. I didn't realize we could say this on eurobricks, where they censor the word j u n o r i z e d, but nah, the amount of villains leaked at this point is already more than I would have expected, there's no way we get more. Actually, given what just leaked in the star wars theme, all bets are off. Lego clearly managed to summon the real jonkler and let him decide the next wave. There's a nonzero chance we actually get non-batman DC characters in the sets this year, but there's an equally strong chance Dogwelder and John Cena (not peacemaker, John Cena) are those figures.
  23. Someone let the Jonkler into lego HQ. Jedi Bob was considered stronger than Yoda at my elementary school lunch table. It wasn't the cool kids table, but my point remains. Nobody, and that's what makes this wave so incredible. No one could have seen this coming. It's beautiful. I really hope the dark falcon figure is some sort of warrior jar jar. Anyone who owned the lego star wars visual dictionary as a kid died when the words "jedi bob's starfighter" appeared on their screen. I still can't believe it. When the world needed him most, he returned. Not really. I don't think we can count this year as normal due to the theme anniversary sets, but even still, there's the diorama, a buildible droid, the infiltrator, and the polybag, and that's just what we know so far. It's roughly equivalent to what the other movies got in their anniversary years.
  24. And not accurate either, his entire character is about how he only ever spent the night with one woman, and she's dead! It's blue, is this some sort of Balance Jar Jar? Senate Guard Jar Jar? I almost wonder if Tales of the Jedi season 2 is going to be some sort of what if/shattered glass story and this is part of it. My thoughts on the sets before the delirium of hearing this wears off: Dark Side Falcon: I remember seeing an Ebay listing for this when I was like 7 and thinking it was real, and now believe the set is based off that. Figures are nutty- this would have been the perfect place to include starkiller, but instead including white vader and what appears to be an evolved Jar Jar of some form is more than a worthy trade. Jedi Bob Fighter- I really hope this is a mashup of the ETA-2 and Delta-7. Wonder what color it'll be. The second figure is assumably an astromech. X-Fighter and TIE-Wing: this might be my favorite- a set that's as batsh*t as the rest of this wave while still being able to function as a normal set, one of the two most iconic fighters, over three years since the last ones- I think it's good. Do hope the two additional figs are as nutty as the above though- rebel friend and beach trooper would be nice. $80 vaguely death star set with Cal- I complain about lego's price all the time, but this could literally just be the cal figure and a printed 2x2 tile saying "death star lol" and I'd consider buying- my boy is finally a minfigure. We won. Sith Infiltrator- a weirdly normal set? Not quite my cup of tea, and feels a little underwhelming given the rest of the wave, but in any other wave it'd be a perfectly fine set. Nice way to celebrate the anniversary. Perida: YES. YES. YES. They're giving everyone the figures they want in a single, mid-range set instead of locking them behind super expensive ones. Perfect. And any build taking place on Perida is going to be awesome.
  25. I have no idea what's happening. I'm going to try to collect my thoughts. This is memorable, if nothing else. I'm excited. Nothing else matters so long as this is real And this, sorry. First off congrats, you were right, infiltrator but no MTT. Honestly yeah, WHAT IS GOING ON! I couldn't sit still to read all of it. I'm still more or less bouncing up and down as I type this. WHAT IS HAPPENING? The fact that you swap the wings makes it fit for me. If at least one of the figs is pretty desirable (or more likely considering the rest of this wave, absolutely blocking insane), I'll consider it... on par with the others? I don't know exactly how this wave makes me feel besides a pretty heavy respect for lego for having the stones to do this. "Amazing. Every word of what you just said was wrong. Lego is reborn today, the theme is just beginning, and I will not be the last Jedi Bob." I feel like this should reasonably be considered a win for TPM fans, the number of sets this year seems higher than what we got for ESB (And ROTJ too? They might be the same)
