  1. The 2007 UCS MF had mini figures, as did the 2008 Death Star and 2010 Imperial Shuttle. Actually, since 2007, only 3 UCS sets have not included any minifigures (Greivous, Jedi Starfighter, and B-Wing). That said, I agree that a lot of people are essentially hoping for some hybrid UCS gunship and MBS playset. That isn't going to happen. I would LOVE to see a UCS gunship with 6-10 minifigures. I expect it will have 2-3.
  2. 6700+ piece AT-AT is going to be really really large if that leak is true. It will definitely have me holding off buying the current AT-AT. Decent chance I end up with both, but maybe I'll only get the system scale one if it's on a really good sale. It's a really good model, but I won't ever have space to display 2 AT-ATs at the same time.
  3. Roller Coaster (10261) is still listed as Temporarily Out of Stock on US S@H. It's never been on the 2020 retirement lists. One physical store putting that tag on those sets doesn't mean too much. Has anybody else been to their store and seen the same? I figure mid-2021 at the earliest but I will be looking really closely for it coming back in stock and other rumors/reports.
  4. Wouldn't be surprised if it starts Cyber Monday or maybe the first weekend of December, for HP purchases only. Then the skating rink would be maybe starting on 12/9 or 12/10?
  5. You’re all speculating off bad info. They were very clear that the car contest was for a Gift with Purchase set, just like the rocket ride was before. It will not be part of the next modular set. It is way too big to be a poly bag. It’s going to be a GWP. It also probably says nothing at all about what the next building is. The contest was in 2019, the year Corner Garage was released. Of course you’d want another car to go with the garage and the tow truck.
  6. If the QR code and bag number are under the #, it's bag 6. Here's a link to Brick Builder's speed build of the set. It should start at 8:07, which is immediately before he shows the main bag 6.
  7. Good point about San Marco. Especially in the Architecture line, I agree the rule is dumb. I’d love to see the ones you mentioned and many others. The fact is that religious buildings are often the most noteworthy buildings in a city or region and sometimes even the most interesting architecturally. The Florence Duomo with Giotto’s bell tower, for example, would be an exceptionally interesting set. Same for Notre Dame.
  8. Moscow and St. Petersburg each have a few buildings that would be really fun to see in full-blown Architecture or Creator Expert/18+ sets. Although I guess at least one of the Moscow buildings is a church, so that rules it out?
  9. AS and the Roller Coaster have gone to Temporarily Out of Stock in the last week (from "Backorder in 60 days"). The pattern for July and August once distribution picked back up from the Mexico factory seemed to be that sets were In Stock, then Backorder with a date, then Backorder within 60 days, then TOOS, and then would just shop back in stock. They didn't seem to go from TOOS to Backorder. I hope we're close to getting these Creator Expert sets back in stock soon.
  10. Stonewars has posted an interesting rumor that the Saturn V and Ship in a Bottle sets will be returning under new set numbers.
  11. I'm starting to worry that the Diner is going to be very hard/near impossible to get for RRP at this point. It has been "Temporarily Out of Stock" in the US for most of the time since March. It was back for a little while in August. Some big sets that are reportedly retiring have now shifted from "Temporarily out of stock" to "Sold Out" on the US S@H site. (Tree House and Taj Mahal). I'm really hoping for one last wave of stock of the Diner, but I'm starting to worry I will have to get it from a reseller.
  12. Hermione’s sleeves are similarly long, covering her entire hands.
  13. I would love an Endor bunker set with an AT-ST, some imps, rebels, and Ewoks. Although I would have to rethink my Endor shelf... The Village itself takes up a hair over half the shelf. An AT-ST and system scale Shuttle Tydirium take up the other half. Definitely wouldn't be room for an MBS-scale bunker scene!
  14. All of the news and rumor sites say Downtown Diner will retire this year. None have mentioned any other modulars.
  15. I have used an Amex in Lego S@H for almost every one of my purchases there. I’m in the US, so maybe other markets are different? With all the weird quirks people run into using PayPal, I have never understood what advantage there is.
  16. That is supposedly 10276, so a different set.
  17. Clearly you and I know very different sets of kids. I don't have kids but every single one of my work friends has kids who love Star Wars.
  18. I actually really like the starry night sky background on the 18+ style box. Then again, I like the Haunted House box too. And the Mos Eisley one. And all the other black background ones. They really put the emphasis on the set. I much prefer them to overly busy boxes like the Hidden Side ones, where you can barely tell what you're buying. I do hope there's another way to get more reindeer. 1 lonely one is just sad!
  19. I'm extremely skeptical. That's someone's MOC that they've put the SW art on top of. Have we ever gotten a leak of a product photo like that? And why would the product photo have the set separated by that much space? That would be a really weird photo for Lego to shoot in the first place or leak in the second.
  20. Diagon Alley is still available. I suspect a lot of people ordered other sets that were on back order today. edit: this was meant as a reply to @Frizzlefry25
  21. Aggg! So frustrated about the GWP already being sold out in the US! I was extremely busy at work all day and figured there was no rush. That’s going to be the only hole in my WW Brickheadz collection (or SW, for that matter, and since those are the only licensed themes I really care about...)! I’ve been planning to buy the Brickheadz ever since that set name and price leaked months ago. Now... is there any chance it will just be on sale at some point? Or is it this really it?
  22. You do know that Lucasfilm produced the ST, right? The studio that’s run by George Lucas’ handpicked successor, Kathleen Kennedy? Lucasfilm and Disney have every right and justification for acting like TROS was something 40 years in the making because it WAS.
  23. It doesn’t make any sense at all that Lego’s a sub-license of Universal, which is what dvt is saying. Lego had a license from Warner Brothers as far back as 2001, a full 6 years before Universal announced its park would have anything from the “Wizarding World”. The original Universal Studios license is here: https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1262449/000119312507178559/dex1041.htm ”licensed use” does allow for manufacture and sale of products, but only for sale within the park.
  24. With no announcement today, we have all but guaranteed this thread will get to 550 pages before DA is revealed.
