And the Ideas Voltron from a few years ago was 6 books, one for each section and one for assembling the whole thing. Ideas Tree House, OTOH, is a single, very thick book.

Hey guys, I’m throwing out a completely logical, reasonable theory here. Just stating facts and asking questions. Please don’t ban me for this like you did all the other truth tellers. But, hear me out. Maybe it’s no minifigure scale. Maybe... it’s... brick-built megafigure scale. How brilliant a marketing bit would it be to have a megafigure sized Rita Skeeter?!

I can’t imagine them doing an ancient version of the Colosseo, considering the full context of that structure. It will have to be a representation of the current state of the landmark. I know it’s not modern violence or war, but that building was used for slave fights and the slaughter of animals. IMO it would be extremely hypocritical to drop the Osprey but then glorify slavery and gladiator fights in the same 6 months.

The Seagull Bay Lighthouse Fortress hit 10k, and I think it would be an excellent companion to Barracuda Bay. I hope it gets approved. But it probably won’t be. I would have loved the companions/follow-ups to the Old Fishing Shop too, but those weren’t made. Won’t get my hopes up for Seagull Bay.

I would expect that every single one of them would say their dream HP set is the UCS Dobby's Sock.

$800 to complete Diagonal Alley would be a very big ask, especially if it only has 6 buildings (even if Gringotts would be very large in your concept). Also, no way they do a split Gringotts like that. The second set would be very strange for people who don’t have hr first one. oh, and how does Florean Fortescu fit in that?

If we get a cantina MBS set, it dang well better have the entire band! I would much rather have a Jabba-related set if we’re getting Tattoine. The cantina is meh. Rancor, barge, etc. are way more interesting! But that’s wishlisting, so I’ll bookend this by saying I will only spend on a big cantina set if I can get it for a substantial discount like I did with Betrayal at Cloud City.

Y'all are lumping all AFOLs into a single category: those who own all (or almost all) sets that have been released to date. That's a really poor assumption. I'm an AFOL. I have a few smaller sets I bought from the first 2-3 years of the SW line and then nothing until 2016. I have a few sets from 2014-2015 that I bought from eBay. I skipped a LOT of the 2016 and 2017 stuff since I was still working my way back into collecting more and more. I have no AT-AT. I have no Final Duel. I have no Grievous minifig--I do have the constraction Grievous, which is excellent! A lot of the things y'all are complaining about being rehashes, I'm excited about. When things I already have are updated and re-released, you know what my reaction is? "Good, that means I have a little bit of extra budget room to dip further into a different line." I'm not a completionist so I don't care if I skip a set because I already have a good version of that vehicle or scene. And I still have PLENTY of sets to buy each year that I'm looking forward to, both within the SW line and others. And even if I weren't in an extended Dark Age, I might not have had enough money for EVERY set I wanted. Something like an AT-AT might just not fit in someone's budget, so bringing it back gives lots of AFOLs a 2nd opportunity at it, even if they weren't in a Dark Age like me. Things like the Falcon will always be around. Lego would be fools to not rehash that, an X-Wing, a TIE Fighter, etc. pretty regularly. At this point they've got pretty darn good renditions of those that don't need significant tweaks. And @2maxwell is right, some of these sets with different characters wouldn't sell nearly as well. Cantina has to have Han and Greedo. They keep doing the same Luke's Landspeeder rather than a Lars one because no casual customer would have any recognition of the Lars one.

Oh, I don't think it would be a good idea for them to do it right now. I was just trying to think out what it would take to even get to $400 for that concept. Maybe for the next big HP/WW D2C in a few years, but not now. And even then, I think $250-300 makes more sense for that set, especially if they do not include the Power Up in the set itself and let people buy it separately. It would be great if they did $250 and then offered some sort of bundle deal in store or S@H if you buy the train and power up components at the same time (boxed separately). But that's getting into long-off I think Diagon Alley and expansion of the current castle are the best candidates for 2020, with something like Hogsmeade a distant 3rd. Oh now THAT would be great.

Disney Train and Station is $330. That includes a long train (engine, fuel car, and two passenger cars), a big station, oval track, the Power Up components (88009 hub and 88011 motor). The Power Up components still weren't available by themselves yet. They are now. That pair components is $64 by itself. To get to $400, they would need at a train at least that big, a very large station platform scene, possibly something like thestrals and carriages for the "Hogwarts side", and the Power Up components.

Don't know if this is the right place for this question, but it's about 2020 Star Wars and Lego, soo... The Lego Skywalker Saga game is due later this year. There's now a pre-order for a version with a steelbook case. Are there any rumors at all about a store that will be offering an exclusive mini figure with pre-order? The steelbook looks nice enough, but I'd rather have a minifig.

The Dobby would obviously have a brick-built sock with studs showing on top and bare plates on the bottom. It would also come with 2 mini figures: 1) an exclusive Lucius Malfoy mini figure with all new hair mold, cloak, new face print, arm print on torso, and dual-molded legs with printing around waist and upper thigh. 2) Harry Potter (hp150 - https://brickset.com/minifigs/hp150/harry-potter-gryffindor-sweater)

Hey, maybe the D2C isn't really Diagon Alley. Maybe it's a life-size brick-built Dobby. Or maybe it's just a single 4500-5000 piece Madam Malkin's Robes for All Occasions. I'm sure demand would be off the charts for both of those.

Paper clips, yes. All "consumer commodities" must label the quantity in terms of weight, measure, or quantity. Dry foods are always labeled by weight. Liquids are always labeled by volume. Lego could possibly label by weight instead of pieces, but that probably requires them to do more work. They already have a part inventory, so a piece count is really simple. Weight would required them to either weigh the parts or calculate them.

Well, this was a miss of sorts, but because the original “leak” (and Brickset’s entry) was wrong. 40409 Does not look like a Creator Expert set. It is a car Gift With Purchase, but it’s a hot rod and not the Ideas car. This is confirmed in the June store calendar. It will be free with purchases of >$85. Looks like a remake of two earlier hot rod sets.

A classic plane would be great. I'm still sad I was in my dark age when the Sopwith Camel was out. A DC-3 would be a good choice. I'd also love something like a Bell X-1 or Spirit of St. Louis. Even something "basic" like the high-selling Cessna 172 or Piper Cub would be nice. I also don't have a space shuttle of any size, so I would be pretty happy with an updated one of those.

I think it's the same ones that officially belong to the Ultimate Collector's Series. Wait, no, that's not right. Maybe it's the ones in the Master Builder Series? No, can't be that. Or the ones that have a display plaque? Hmm... this is gonna be hard. "Officially" it's currently a collection of 1 single set: Haunted House. Unofficially, I'll bet most people will agree that it's Grand Carousel, Fairground Mixer, Ferris Wheel, Carousel, Roller Coaster, and Haunted House. Those are all of the "Creator Expert" sets that can reasonably be described as "fairground" sets, plus the new Fairground Collection set. It's going to be interesting to see how they brand the next modular building and also what other "collections" they separate out like this. I'm guessing "Modular Buildings", Architecture, and big themed sets like Hogwarts Castle and Star Wars UCS will be the main things with a specific "collection" nomenclature, but they'll carry over the general box design structure for other future sets like Apollo 11 Lunar Lander, Old Trafford, etc. without a specific branding. EDIT: Vehicles. There will definitely be some sort of "collection" for vehicles/cars. And Winter Village. Duh! Don't know how I left those two out!
