This is awesome! The parts usage for the turret gun is great and the chains are a great addition! I would not want to get run over by this thing. Not that being run over by a standard, non 'hedgehoggy' tank would be preferable...

Thanks. I do like my curves! Thanks, me too! Although you'd be surprised how many people in the community take offence at modernised versions of their beloved Classic themes... Thanks mate!

Hi all, Here is my completed M:Tron fleet for 2024. This is my 4th modernised/retro fleet having previously completed Neo Classic Space (or 'Futuron' if you prefer), Blacktron 1 and Ice Planet. So, clockwise from back left there is JACK:HAMMER, a giant pneumatic drill based on the design of a ... Jackhammer ๐, SALAMANDER, a fire suppression vehicle powered by a magnetised reactor so it can get there fast, M:OTH, a foliage removal craft equipped with front mounted saw blades, and CHOMP (Crystal Harvester Of Magnetic Particles) which... does what it says on the tin. Full albums for all these can be found on my Flickr page here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/164260086@N06/albums Or on my Instagram here: https://www.instagram.com/rubblemaker_lego/ Thanks for looking! ๐ซก

So cool, Love this! what is the trans dome piece used over the robot head?
-
Thanks, yeah, was pretty chuffed at how well that snow bit came out! Thanks, I still have way too many of those things laying around to not use them! ๐
-
I love it when elements are crossed over like this, really cute combination of Duplo and Lego and nice use of the separators! ๐
-
Thanksโฆ that actually gives me an idea for a future moc.. so thanks again! ๐
-
What a cool idea to do these. Great inspiration and great micro versions of them. Nice work!
-
Thanks! Yeah, Iโm doing Ice Planet! ๐ This is ship 1 of (hopefully another) 4.

This thing is called Diviner. Its special talent is finding precious gems on frozen worlds. I'm sure Sapphires are a dime a dozen in the snow on some alien planet somewhere. Probably. Lol, if it doesnโt detach does that mean I have somehow failed? ๐ I mean, the trans yellow canopy opens. Thinking about it more, the thing is pretty damn fragile so that cockpit detaches quite regularly actually ๐

Hi all. This is the Blacktron Ballista. The 4th and final ship in a fleet of Bionicle infused Blacktron ships I've been making over the last 6 weeks. This one was probably the hardest shape to create of the whole lot Full album is here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/164260086@N06/albums/72177720313493968 Or come find me over on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/rubblemaker_lego/ Thanks again for looking, again and again.

Thanks. I'd be lying if I said my goal with these ships hasn't been to put pieces together that are rarely seen together. ๐
-
Those are really good renders considering itโs digital. But yeah, hanging it will be essential. It would never balance on that antenna and plate ๐
-
Thatโs cool!. Particularly like the pyramid building. Nice use of the door pieces for the wings on the ship too. I keep meaning to try a micro buildโฆ waitโฆ is that whole city actually balancing on one single 1x1 round plate and held up by one of those bendy antenna pieces? Or have you photoshopped out the stand?
-
That one in particular is really hard to integrate into a build which is trying to be studless and smooth. I sometimes have to wonder what goes through the heads of the Lego design team when they come up with some of their windscreens. I have one of those dark purple UCS Slave 1 size windscreens which I've never been able to successfully place in any build I've done. It's just horrible. Though I'm determined to find a use for it one day because it's also beautiful! ๐
-
Thanks very much. Bionicle pieces certainly look great but itโs easy to get carried away and overdo them in a build. I have to hold myself back and use them only when I feel they fit aesthetically. ๐
-
๐ thanks, wish I had such confidence in my own builds.. my imposter syndrome pretty much constantly re-assures me Iโm actually rubbish ๐
-
๐ it was quite friendly in appearance to begin with, but it became progressively more angry looking the longer it had to wait for its final pieces to arrive from Bricklinkโฆ.
-
Hi all, say hello to the Blacktron Mohawk. Ship 3 in a growing fleet of equally angry looking, bionicle-infused Blacktron ships. Wow! That is so well executed from outside to inside. I could stare at that for hours. So much to see. I particularly love the ragged stonework on the ground outside. Looks really natural and contrasts the smooth interior ground tiling. But everything about it is fantastic. Beautiful moc. ๐๐
-
No worries! Thank you for the kind words. Thanks mate. Thanks, yeah I really need to buy more of those in. They work so well on spaceships.
-
Thanks. There's a link to the full album at the beginning of the post, just above the first pic. ๐
