Brethren of the Brick Seas (BoBS) Intro Thread, Era II
Legonaut replied to Bregir's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
I'm asking myself if there are already rifled muskets invented or not in the brick seas. Maybe they are already invented but quite expensive and unpractical for Line Infantry, due to rate of fire etc. ? Generally I think it is rather hard to define what explicit real-time frame the game stays in but I'd like to know what the latest "real time" inventions would be to be appropriate for the game. Maybe someone can help me out :) -

I do like this a lot, especially the ground and the camp atmosphere, especially in the last picture with the face expressions and music (the lute), is really nice and creates a good vibe! The warm Warm background colour increases this even in my eyes. Definetely a- 11 replies

It worked but I'm confused with the Colour numbers, on what are these based off? Is there a list for them? What I already got as results was reeeally good! -
Shipwrights Guild Hall (WIPs, feedback, and advice)
Legonaut replied to Bregir's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
General Question: As I'm getting more and more interested in sailing ships I'd like to have a book in english (german would go aswell) that gives a good overview. Preferably with "blueprints" of historical ships or examples in general, maybe someone of you has something like that? -

I downloaded it but what do I have to do now? Sorry but I'm not that good with this kind of stuff, altough I would love to use this generator! -
A Long and good Story, really enjoyed reading. The Rockwork in the Moc Looks good as the Building does. Personally I Like the use of those Rebel torsos a Lot. The foliage at the shore is nice too :)

April, 620 AE Somewhere on the Island of Brickford Landing... We patroled through the jungle to protect the Settlement and found some human beings. "The Tyree'De" as they called themselves in their broken corrish were a remarkable group. The oldest of them was wearing a Lotii style-robe, one of the younger two Men that were wearing some kind of self made leather armour had a Carnite Musket and the other one said some Oleon words that I did not expect from him "fils de megablock" . When I asked them where they came from they said "the big Island in the East, there is war, we go away there cuz of big peng. When I asked wher they originally came from they said "the south"... Personal Memories of a Corrish Marine My Entry for challenge III Cat C. Hope you Like it! Cheers

This is my first Entry for the Oaken shield Task of the GOC-challenge. To Rear- Admiral Fletcher Commander of the Terra Novan Fleet As answer for your call for Gunboats for the colonies, I have been searching for a multi purpose light vessel. The result is a boat with six oars that can serve as a landing boat due to it's space for twelve soldiers or as light gun carrier with an experimental 12 pounder gun. With slight modifications the boat can get a very small mast and a sail but generally the boat is not supposed for that as it would destroy the very small silhouette. Fortunately it is small enough to be considered as side boat for larger ships, but still you can find instructions with this letter with which every shipwright should be able to replicate it. Your servant, John W. Jaeger Marine Lieutenant serving in Spudkirk There it is, my first ship Critique ver welcomed as this is new Land for me! Stay healthy!

Legonaut replied to Professor Thaum's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
I liked the Story, the build, everything, till the ship of the tyree'de burned down Pirates I guess -
As this is your First ship (Mine is coming), I can say that it Looks pretty good. Sure there's some Details to improve but I think a picture of the whole ship without cutaway edges would be a good, first step.

[COR] New Lands for Corrington
Legonaut replied to LM71Blackbird's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Major Brown will land in Brickford landing in a couple of days with supplies and Men for further buildings and establishing a first docking area for larger vessels at the Port. For the Moc I can say that I like the overall atmosphere of stuff that is going on as first things start to grow and I like the flora a lot. On the other hand I have to say that altough I understand the want for big Moc's, I have to admit that I'd prefer smalller ones with more Details, including for example more elevation and more detail in the ground. Getting more bricks is always an option too but in the end it's up to you. Personally I'm just for higher Build quality (definetely including me too) than quantity. Definetely looking forward in what direction the settlement will go for. Military, Agricultur or big productions? We'll see....- 10 replies

Yes, they came with Gilderoy Lockhart but only with him so they are kind of rare, on the other hand it was a pretty common Set so they are not so expensive. For the Moc I can just say that I`m really enjoying the amount of work that went into the whole Moc and I have to admit that these windows are georgious. Also cool to see that sand Red!

As I Like that Set I don't think I'm gonna get it, as I think I can get a Lot more value for my Mocs by spending that Money in parts. On the other hand I would Like to See more Pirate Sets and Lego will more likely make some if the Pirates Ideas Set sells good. Have to think about this... -
[COR ChIIICatB] The Non-spectaular Secrets of Oleonda
Legonaut replied to Ayrlego's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
As I like this Moc a Lot as it is one of your Jungle builds, I have to say that I think you could still improve a bit on the Temple, by for example using light grey plates and tiles to create a shade between the Light bluish Grey and the Olive Green. A little easter Egg for those who know the original would have been cool to discover too, as an example propably Sir Dirks Hat hid in the Jungle. But this is critique on a high level, despite these little Points it is really a great Moc! Will definetely one day build Something Like that myself. -
