[COR] Prospecting on Gunpowder Island
Legonaut replied to Legonaut's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
The Brick Seas have still some Mysteries that only time will uncover. Somehow Edwards answering Letter disappeared... In fact Edward arrived in Jameston some months ago where he was promoted to Major and where he found some rest. He will leave Jameston on April 24th with the Infantrymen under his command which consist of Marine Infantry and Line Infantry to strengthen the defences of Spudkirk and propably for further Missions in the New Haven Sea. @Bregir -

[COR-CHIII-CATB] An ominous plant
Legonaut replied to Legonaut's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
@Pdaitabird appreciate it! @LM71Blackbird thank you, would enjoy to See more swampy builds. @Sir Kingston cool that you Like it :) @Khorne that dirty, mirky Look was my Intention as the water is Standing. For your guess, you're right, that is what I intended ;) @Ross Fisher After some analysing in Spudkirk Mr Jaeger found out that what he found was not a comlpetely new species of plant, but a new Kind of poppy that was Not found on sabre Island or other Islands before. That new Type he named Papaver somniferum Oleonda because of the place it was found at. -
Like this one a Lot, aspecially the figs ( could have been fleshies though ^^), the red Spots in the Dark Red bricks and the boxes and that printed tile under the stairs which give the Moc some more character.

Report of John W. Jaeger, Marine Lieutenant at the Moment not commanding a specific ship with Corrish and Carno background and a special Interest in plants. April 620, El Oleonda New Haven Sea The journey from Avestia to the big Island in the South, better known as El Oleonda was easier than we could imagine. Although we saw a handful of Lotii Warships on the Eastern Side of the Island they did not want to fight and only kept us away from the more eastern parts of the Island that we could Not Land there. As my small Troop of Marine Scouts landed in the afternoon that I would have to command for seven days, our Vessel drove away to the safer waters around Avestia. Till the evening we hid our rowing boats and found caves to rest in the night. On the second day we packed our things and went into the jungle. We found some small ancient buildings but as I and a lot of my men had seen the great Buildings of the Myzec, these were not breathtaking. On the third day we went to the West but as the jungle got thicker and thicker I knew that at least at this Part of the Island would most likey be nothing of interest for Corrington. On the fourth day of our small Expedition we were back at our starting point at noon and I gave my men the day to rest after the thick jungle which brought snakes, mosquitos and other nasty creatures with him. On the fifth day we refilled our water supplies at a small spring and went East, a good decision as we found abandoned old paths and jungle that was kind off organized and not as unfriendly for human beings as it's western counterpart. It was that day as I, a sophisticated gardener found a completely new plant, which grew in smaller and bigger crowds at the boarder of small standing waters, which I had never seen before anywhere. At that Point I thought it was a nice looking plant that most likely wasn't useful for other things at all, till the sixth day when we discovered a Lotii plantation which consisted only of that Crop. The best man in moving without making any noise got into the fields, nearer to the Lotii where he saw that they would cut into the plants where a white Milk would come out. As I was thinking about what this all meant one of my men reminded me of our Vessel for the next day. I carefully digged out two of those plants, for Experiments and to have something I could show the authorities. In the night of the sixth day we rushed to our landing Point. Luckily we found the path we took and came to the starting Point of our Expedition without any bigger problems when the sun rised. Our Vessel appeared in the afternoon, just in time because some men I sent to scouts around our Point reported a Lotii ground Force heading West, just to our Position. As our Vessel came we drove away and rested after that very bad night. When I saw Avestia I was happy that I did not loose a man, but still had at least found one noteable thing. Hey Folks, this is my Entry for Category B in Challenge III. I hope my english writing is not the biggest pain for you . This also introduces my second character John Wilhelm Jaeger (half Carnite, half Corrie) which will on the one hand will be a Marine and on the other hand will be interested in Science. Further Information will follow in another Moc. Stay healthy! PS: I did not say exactly what particular plant it is. Maybe you want to guess with that Spoiler funtion :)

[SR ChIIICatB] Oleonda's First Stable
Legonaut replied to Fraunces's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
I really like the classic vibe of this Build and I also enjoy that rounded roof finish made out of the wedge plates. Also the type of house with integrated stables on the first floor instead of seperated stables is something I do like a lot because I did not see it before. What I'd suggest to improve is the photography by a simple sheet of paper for a better background and to avoid cut away edges if they're not obviously supposed to be like that. (Probably these minor problems are due to the size of the build what I can really understand, photographing my fort was a pain) -

For a long time the Corlander colonial administration in Port Woodhouse had been interested in the island located in the northern approaches to the Garma Strait known to most as Gunpowder Isle. Several Royal Navy vessels had surveyed the coastline with it's distinctive black sand; however, rumours of extremely hostile natives had kept the vessels launching any forays into the interior to verify rumours of strong veins of copper. Recently stories have filtered back to Port Woodhouse of Sea Rat and Eslandolan activity on the island and strange tales of monstrous birds and hallucinogenic bananas can be heard in taverns across the Paradise Isles... A Corrie merchantman had taken shelter in one of the islands bays recently and a shore party seeking freshwater had been attacked by natives who had only been repelled with heavy losses. All of these factors combined have caused the administration to act. Newly promoted Major Edward Brown of the Port Woodhouse garrison has been given command of an expedition to Gunpowder Isle. A strong force of infantry will protect the engineers, civilian geologists and surveyors of the expedition. After some time preparing, Major Brown and his force land on Gunpowder Isle. Landing on Gunpowder Island by @Legonaut Prospectors immediately start taking samples for further analysis in nearby Jameston. Rumours of an abundance of copper were one of the main motivations for launching the expedition, so Corrie geologists are keen to get their hands on samples taken from the isle. Prospecting on Gunpowder Island by @Ayrlego Furthermore; a Martello tower fort; based on the design successfully implemented in Mooreton Bay, has been constructed to protect the anchorage and base camp for the Corlander expedition. Armed with eight powerful cannon and a fighting platform on top, it protects against both native aggression and any marauding buccaneers. Corlander Martello Tower by @Ayrlego _________________ The beginning of a Corlander mining expedition (and collaboration) on Isle 16 'Gunpowder'. The second scene is a prospecting build and the fort will be the beginning of a squatting mining settlement for when/if we start mining operations. Greetings Ayrlego & Legonaut! Prospecting result:

[FB] Officers Barracks - Port Woodhouse
Legonaut replied to Legonaut's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
I'm really Glad that you Like it! It's a Cookie from the Harry Potter CMF Series but with the hand it's a Email :) Thanks a Lot for your warm words! -
In follow of Edward`s captiency promotion he changed his residence from a room in the Ports tavern to the officers Barracks where he now has his stuff. Because he is often on Patrol with his Men to check the bays of Garmas Key the house is the most of time just used by the other officer living there. http:// this is my most recent Build, hope you guys like it! Greetings, Legonaut

Legonaut replied to Legonaut's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Unfortunately I already sorted it Out ( normally for me this Takes months) and I don't have other Pictures of it. The Problem ist that there isn't really a Front Side because it's an exact quarter. But... I think my next Moc will propably Suit better for the Front Page! -
