  1. Rip Sewer is here and ready to go! After a decade of hard labor, I'm not going to let some Blacktrons throw all my work out the window or space-lock or whatever.
  2. Let's not make want lists here--it's nothing more than a glorified renamed wish list. We get it, you want Hawkeye, but saying his name every three seconds will not make him appear five months from now... The constant regurgitation of the same complaining conversations are making this forum unreadable.
  3. If I had to bet, I'd say Firefly rather than Deadshot. The Suicide Squad movie doesn't come out until next fall, so I'd expect any 'tie ins' so come out for next year's fall/winter wave rather than this year's winter. Although I do really want Firefly--because we'd be one step closer to Killer Moth!
  4. Yeah the set is very much worth every penny--as is Velma. I think the chances are rather up in the air for getting more Scooby sets, and even if we do, I wouldn't expect them to be on shelves until at least this time next year (to again coincide with fall/Halloween). That being said, Velma is not a figure you want to miss, as you'd be literally paying for it later. Her secondary market value is already $20 to $30.
  5. Wasp A Brick-Built Figure Build Time: 10 Hours Enjoy! ~Nemo
  6. 1) Gamboled in Russian Roulette before, been grazed and gutted too. May have been out But not down Now I’m comin’ for you (Went a bit scary western at the end of that. No doubt this poem will be the most challenging part of this Mafia adventure! ) 2) Well I'll participate as long as I'm alive. After that it's 50/50 3) I think I'd have to go with Alien(s). First or second movie. I really like the horror and Sci-Fi mix, especially the creature and set designs. Favorite character is tough...Zoidberg. 4) Math is for chumps. 5) Eh, I'm at work. Maybe later.
  7. Great game for all those involved. As a spectator, it was very interesting to watch, even without knowing the behind the scenes stuff (which at some points must have been hilarious). From my perspective the tactics of the scum team were seriously crazy; especially the calls for the traitor to come forward; so I was surprised to see how long the game lasted. Going by how ridiculous the scum were acting, it really seemed like it should have ended way earlier--then all of the sudden it was day eleven and there were only four players left! So checking the forms each day to see yet another day was really surprising again and again. And congrats to Pandora, Hinckley, and Adam for such a tense last day. You're all winners in my book!
  8. Not the first time this has happened. At least everyone didn't get caught up in what he was saying...
  9. Well I think it makes sense that the sets would have sold better following the movies release--because the interest in the property is heightened. That being said, personally, it was hard for me to even find the sets before the movie came out. I have to say I'm starting to get worried...I'm only missing the two largest sets, as I've been waiting on them to slowly raise up funds--but I'm really getting worried that I won't be able to find an Indominous Rex set now. At this point I don't care if I miss out on the T-Rex set because there will always be more Lego T-Rex sets--it's just a matter of time--but there will never be another Indominous set.
  10. Can we not post things like that. Listing off some distant removed person's "insight" on a set is both not reliable and incredibly annoying. As is making a game of it. I don't know why there's this urge for informants to string us along; if you know something just say it, and if you cannot say it for obvious reasons (like you'll get in trouble for doing so) then don't even bring it up in the first place.
  11. No doubt you just drew that for Quicksilver... Say it as much as you want, but he ain't coming back! I'm leaning towards this belief. It's rather early to start assuming what will be in a set based off a few descriptions. Although I will say that Iron Skull is stupid and we should get new characters instead. At least not any variant that even resembles another repetitive Iron Man armor. That being said, I personally don't even want to see prelims of the Civil War sets. These latest superhero movies are already being vigorously spoiled for me by evil headlines and off topic posts, frequently found here, in this form. Like pictures of Hawkeye's sleeves; that was supposed to be a surprise I'm assuming! On par with Spider-Man showing up!
  12. I tend to get the feeling that we won't get battle damaged figures, like ever. That's just not something that Lego seems to make.
  13. Yes, he's a custom printed Hush minifigure by Christo: based off the character's 'official' design appearance from Lego Batman: the Video Game. After you collect enough official figures, you can discover the secret bonus level of custom Superhero minifigures! Being patient is the best strategy. Alfred is a really good example of this. He's probably the most expensive non-SDCC Superhero minifigure out there.
  14. Well it's a set up that takes a couple hours, so that's why I only do it once a year! Although I do look forward to it too!
  15. I've been collecting them for a few years now , and what I've largely learned is that it's really a waiting game--especially for the old Batman/Spider-Man/Superhero figures. It's really easy to get any of the new figures, especially if they're on the shelves, but it is becoming more challenging to get even some 2012 figures for a decent price. In general, the new Superhero figures go for about 10-15 dollars individually, and they really only go up from there. This is especially true for popular characters who appeared in only one set, and like many other licensed themes, the fact that they most likely won't reappear for a years helps keep their value way up. The Superheroes theme is all about the characters after all. But on the challenging portion are the old figures. Ok, first off, yes they are available--and if you don't care about money you can get them all pretty quickly if you trade off a king's ransom. Or the king. The challenging part however is getting them on the cheap. I spent a better part of two years collecting almost the entire Batman 1 wave (I'm still missing Bruce and Alfred), without spending a fortune. It's been a while, so I'm loosing the figures/costs, but I think I averaged 15-20 for the main baddies. Some, like Catwoman I snagged for a cheap ten. Other's I even got for free from the generosity of the Lego community. Largely, I perused Ebay for long periods, snatching up bid figures for cheaper prices than Bricklink's fixed figures. It is really a waiting game. As for displaying them, personally, I largely don't really--but I do keep my Batman 1 figures in a clear toy case such as in the picture below (which is rather old now): The only time I ever take our every Superhero figure I own (for a short display) is once a year on December 28th for a photo (otherwise they'll start fighting each other when I look away). Incidentally, these photos are a great way of showing how fast a collection of Superheroes can grow in just a few years. Comparing 2012 to 2013 and then last year's photo below really shows that. It also shows how terrible the lighting was back in 2012...
  16. I only own two complete sets: that being series 1 Simpsons; which I won in a contest over on BrickFanatics; and series 12 apparently...which I didn't know...not sure how that happened but Brickset tells me it's true!
  17. I was looking forward to these sets, but I'm a bit disappointed at seeing them now. Overall I feel there's some issues with the minifigure designs. I really don't like the ridiculously sized headpieces that everyone seems to be wearing. Likewise there's some design issues--I don't like how they made Kylo's lightsaber at all, which is really disappointing. I hoped they would have made a more unique mold setup for it, as it's so unique. Adding a T-Cross to a regular blade is boring. The builds are also very similar in apperance, and they generally have a body shape to them. I have to say I was also shocked when I saw the horrendous prices--I don't think I could afford many of these sets even if I loved them. I was truly looking forward to this new wave of movie based sets, as I hoped to jump back into Lego Star Wars which I was ennamored with when I was young--but these sets just are not doing it for me.
  18. Maybe Lego is just going to make the best Superhero vehicle ever: the Justice Jogger.
  19. So...I was right about there being only one 'minifigure'... Brick-built figures that 'go'...tisk tisk Lego tisk tisk. Because that's what we wanted!
  20. Chima is an in house property; there's tons on non-licensed sets with more than one figure for under $10. That's not so much the case with Licensed sets however, at least not any more.
  21. No, I'm sure we won't get two minifigures per set. The cheapest sets the Superheroes have received thus far have all been $12 ones, and they've included two figures or more. The racers at a $10 price point, cannot accommodate two minifigures and two vehicles. I think these are very comparable to the Star Wars Microfighters. They have the exact same price point, and are essentially the same thing granted with a theme swap (and 'racers' being added, which if it's some mechanism that allows them to 'race', only ensures that it cannot accommodate two minifigures in addition). Their vehicles are all small and average under 100 parts--plus they all have one minifigure. I don't think there's any reason to expect anything different from a Superhero version.
  22. The racers sets would not come with two figures. These sets are most likely just going to be Superhero versions of the Star Wars Chibi/Planet sets. A decent figure and a small way-out-of-proportion vehicle for them to hilarious try and fit in. So it'll only be a true race when you buy two...which is how Lego gets ya...
  23. I too think an Amusement Park would be a great D2C Scooby-Doo set, although I do tend to think it's a bit unlikely to happen at the moment due to the other sets that are currently available, namely the Jokerland one--which would be at a generally similar price point (both being expensive) and both represent theme parks. I wonder how many villains it could include however--considering the likelihood that a set that large would simply include the whole gang. That would mean we'd most likely only get two or three other new characters. Still, I think any more monsters for the theme is a good thing.
  24. Well this is surprising news. I always liked the design of the 60's Batcave, so for sure I'll end up getting it. Although I'd want the set for the figures just as much as the cave. For sure I think we'd get the main villains: Joker, Catwoman, Penguin, and Riddler (who incidentally, are all characters we have already anyways, but still), plus Batman and Robin of course. Alfred is likely, although I doubt anyone can really remember what 60's Alfred even looked like--I don't think he's particularly important in regards to the pop culture of the show, but he's marginally important for the set itself, even though people would want a version closer to the one we got from the original Batman line. Batgirl has been thrown around a bit as a potential inclusion, but I think it's more likely that we won't get her, considering the must haves already listed. Chances are this could be the only 60's set we ever get, so I think it's more likely that Lego would include all four major villains and be forced to drop Batgirl because of it. Set wise, I don't think we should expect any more vehicles other than the Batmobile--which itself will most likely take up a good chunk of pieces. The 60's Batcave is not that big, and none of the other vehicles had direct access to it. I always remember the scenes from the movie when Batman and Robin had to drive to the airport and dock to get their helicopter and boat. Also Shark-Repellent.
  25. Great review! And a great series. I'm really excited that these mesh with the new Scooby-Doo theme too, and practically all of the figures are must haves in my mind. For the first time I'm considering getting a box, because there's some for sure I want multiples of...but then there's some others that I don't even want. So this will be tough... I think my favorite has to be the Witch--she is just so detailed and amazing. I think I'll give her a purple cape too though, and perhaps a light nugget broom since I think the colors will work well together. Oh and the Fly Man. And the Specter. It's just too hard to choose!
