Blacktron Mafia: Day 3, Spaceship Soldiers
Captain Nemo replied to Dannylonglegs's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I thought everyone was just collectively waiting to slowly drive you mad? At least that's what I was doing! And by the latest Alice posts, I think it's working! -- Any who, it is nearing the time to vote (11 hours dropped quickly to 9.5 I might add, that was strange). I would have voted Paul today--who I quite frankly don't know much about. I hear more about Paul from others than from himself, and he was seeming very scummy because of it. But regardless, with him claiming to be a watcher (of some alignment), I cannot vote for him on a whim now. The whole Zipzop stuff is just ridiculous. I understand as much of it as everyone involved does--and that's not much. I don't however, take his horrible code setup to mean he's scummy necessarily. I tend to think that if he was scum--the code would have been somewhat understandable or readable. This situation just screams one confused townie to me--he was helpful but got over is head, and was paranoid about being night killed. Which I could sort of see being the reason for telling so many people--granted six is just too many. At this point, the chances must have been very good one of those contacted is a scum--considering he basically pulled names out of a hat and then gave them important information. Of those contacted, 4 of 2 is the most suspicious in my mind. I also don't care for Seamus, I want that noted. But 4 of 2, like a few people have noted, has just been a bit weird during this whole game--I feel very off about 4 of 2 . It seemed to take very middle-ground on all topics, and seems to avoid any suggestion that it leans one way or the other. However, 4 of 2's votes have been on outsiders, as if to not line itself with the wrong lynch. I do agree with Seamus on the coincidental notion of a Scum Watcher though. Bring that up days before--you'd have to pull that of mafiawiki too, I've never heard nor seen that on EB--and then the issues with Paul's watcher status bringing up the notion of a scum version. It's too coincidental when there's no initial reason to even mention it, or even know about in the first place quite frankly. I could easily see this being the one noticeable slip up for 4 of 2, who was taking all precautions to avoid leaning one way or another. Vote: 4 of 2 (mostlytechnic)- 331 replies

Blacktron Mafia: Day 3, Spaceship Soldiers
Captain Nemo replied to Dannylonglegs's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Dealing with Space Computer problems, so I'm very late at replying to this. Not that Seamus should be surprised or anything. I'm remember the name but not the strategy--I've not played for the better part of the year. Although I think it's ridiculous to meta-game me of of someone else's strategy because we are both bold and confident apparently. For the record, I'm confident in myself, because I know I'm town. I'll counter this--so if I said I though he was a detriment and scummy, you would have nothing to say, right? You said he was scummy, and that justifies your vote on him, while my deterrent vote does not? Well, the fact is we were both wrong--suggesting that you were more 'in the right' because you said he was scummy does not change the fact we both wrongly voted out an townie. Again, I'm not Scuba. And yes, it was late. And in addition, I will give you this point--I totally just ducked up those names/roles. Suspect as in the adjective definition. I.e. The scum would now constantly think Clementine is suspect over other townies. Hopefully, after this second clarification, you will understand words have more than one meaning. Alternatively, you could learn to read complete sentences, so you could discover I clarified my meaning of 'suspect' later in the exact same sentence. Suspect (adjective) 1. not to be relied on or trusted; possibly dangerous or false. "a suspect package was found on the platform" synonyms: suspicious, dubious, doubtful, untrustworthy; More Also, yes scum have suspicions, suggesting they don't is ridiculous. Scum know who the town are, but they're still suspicious of who the PRs are. I'm sorry, I forgot that only the people who talk the least and who are in the middle ground are sure scum. Talking the most is an obvious sign of Townieness. Clearly, lynching and scrutinizing those people has thus far yielded the best results. And Seamus, if you reach the end of this sentence, you should understand that was sarcasm. -- And who, on the developments of the Tracker debacle: with Laura apparently being the now deceased tracker, it is also common public knowledge to assume that Clementine is the new Tracker--being the 'universal-backup'. Problem is for me, is that still don't believe in Clementine's claim. And I'm not going to, because it's something we cannot verify. Laura was the tracker, we assume this is fact (she turned up town, so we have to assume she was telling the truth). And she tracked Clementine night one, and he did nothing--that however does not verify he is not scum, rather that he did nothing. Now Clementine is the tracker--which in the position of a scum could easily be forged. Being tracked doing nothing is in no way the same as being investigated town. I'm in this minority. We've lost too many townies already to start hiding information. If we lynch wrong again, and there's enough kills we could be done for.- 331 replies

Blacktron Mafia: Day 3, Spaceship Soldiers
Captain Nemo replied to Dannylonglegs's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Ooof. I was expecting Claw to turn up scum--but everyone turning up town...and that many dead? Why are you changing quotes to make people seem more scummy? That's rather, well scummy behavior. And just from memory this doesn't sound like it's the first time that this has happened. Plus you then base your claims of suspicion off of your own falsified quotes? Incidentally, do you have no more talk of the godfather? I asked you a series of questions yesterday (about half way though the day I believe) that were never answered. Questions like; why do you keep referring to the godfather in terms of, "If I was the godfather I would have killed him like this" and junk?--clearly scummy statements. But now, and not for a while, have you brought the godfather; which was previously your catchphrase (with Seamus included in said catchphrase). Are you getting more confident in a victory--that you don't need to pass of accusations? I agree that this is weird. Especially considering that everyone who voted for Clementine on day one who has died has also been found town; we should emphasis that. Minga is apparently also town (assuming her claim is true). But what about Zipzop; is he town too? Or is he scum voting for another scum? In regards to Minga's claim--is there even a second person breathing? That person very likely could be one of the seven dead peoples. Which would clearly make it harder for us to believe her, just from her singular statements.- 331 replies

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 14 Rumors and Discussion
Captain Nemo replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I started to find these locally, at least at my Toys R Us. I've picked up ten so far, and have only fell for one duplicate Spectre. Granted I wasn't really feeling the bags the second time, mostly I was looking for the larger molds to easily identify some characters. So far they are all spectacular! I think the Wacky Witch may be my favorite, but the Fly is also really good. I'm still hunting down the Banshee though--and I feel from the pictures that she may become my absolute favorite. But right now I got to take a bit of a break...I don't want the one cashier employee there to see me coming in every other day to buy five at a time...its becoming slightly awkward... So far I have the Scientist, Wacky Witch, Fly Monster, Spectre, Gargoyle, Monster Rocker, Square Foot, Plant man, and the Werewolf. -
[MOC] LEGO Star Wars Episode VII - The Game
Captain Nemo replied to Cecilie's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Very nice build! The connection from the scenes to the hub-world was really well thought out, especially the interior of the Falcon. And the giant tropies really bring back the classic Lego game feel. Great job--can congrats on the win too! -
Blacktron Mafia: Day 2, Space Oddity
Captain Nemo replied to Dannylonglegs's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Yesh there's a lot of votes across the board. Not that affects my vote on Claw, here which follows: The Claw has been very wishy-washy in my opinion today--specifically starting with the poorly disguised claim that Minga was responsible for the death of Ender, because she feared his day one statements about her (or something). It's really not a clear suspicion anyways, and the Claw itself admits this later in the day--by claiming it was never actually suspicious and that it suddenly just trusts Minga; or that the whole thing never happened or something--everything is all over the place with these green guys. And then Claw just passed it off as a 'side suspicion'. I'm still looking for the reasoning in the actual change in heart on Minga; other than 'it just changed' basically. I doubt I'll get an answer on that. The suspicion was built on nothing other than paranoia mixed with the failed perception of helpfulness; and I'm sure the answer would be just as useless. There's also the stuff with Claw's continual prodding of Seamus; which he completely admits was entirely based off meta gaming: And even then, the Claw is wishy washy. Looking at it now, that's almost as ridiculous a statement as noting that one 'shouldn't claim to confirmed scum'. Genius! Vote: Claw (theLazychicken)- 256 replies

Blacktron Mafia: Day 2, Space Oddity
Captain Nemo replied to Dannylonglegs's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Does your suspicion of Clementine have an affect on your suspicion of Minga? I tend to think 'suspecting' can be used to describe your insinuation that Minga had Ender killed. It's passive suggestion: you didn't come out and say it, but it was all but heavily implied and now denied. You are pointing out that Minga is behind Ender's death, and as such are noting that she should be looked at--ergo you're suspicious of her. But now, that just didn't happen apparently... Don't deny it; like who doesn't have a side space-mistress?- 256 replies

DC Superheroes 2016 - Rumors and Discussion
Captain Nemo replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
Meh, I get the feeling that it's just going to be a glorified 6836 Batwing Battle Over Gotham City set; just with slightly larger or more detailed vehicles and then nothing else. The last $10 or $15 of the set won't encompass a build, but will be used to poorly justify including so many figures. I see this going the way of many Star Wars sets, where you get one giant ship and then a bunch of excess minifigures that don't necessarily go with it, but end up adding to the overall price anyways.- 8,446 replies

Blacktron Mafia: Day 2, Space Oddity
Captain Nemo replied to Dannylonglegs's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
(You people type so fast! ) That only clears some things up--like 100% of it; or no, not really, like only half of the stuff; so like 50%. I'd like to post a follow up question: uh, when Claw did you exactly stop suspecting Minga so much? In that one post specifically? Your initial suspicion of her (that being Minga was responsible for the death of Ender as a way of shutting him up or something) seemed to be based on nothing really--and equally so, your big reversal seems to be based on the fact that you yourself talked er...yourself out of it. So it obviously couldn't have been that good of a suspicion to begin with--if you don't believe it yourself. Is this the reasoning? I see it still as a rather shocking turnabout brought on by...something? Your own inability to believe it? I'm really staring to lean on Minga's voting analysis (which in fact was an actual voting analysis, not just a recapped list of votes) that suggest you are the scum to be watching... Side note, incidentally, couldn't this situation suggest that you are trying to frame Minga for Ender's death? You're doing the exact same thing that causes you to find her scummy. And now you don't even believe in math...you're crazy! Crazy I say!- 256 replies

Blacktron Mafia: Day 2, Space Oddity
Captain Nemo replied to Dannylonglegs's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Wouldn't put it past the drugs. As for 'suspect', I meant--as I wrote following that word actually... "Clementine will now always be suspect to the scum, because they will have to assume that after any of their kills (or any death that occurs) Clementine holds to potential to be a PR." So yes, 4 of 2 was correct in its clarification. You should lay off that stuff man. I wouldn't mind some evidence either Harriet. I'd prefer to not be hanged by your gut--intestines make terrible nooses. Don't claim to confirmed Scum. Got it! And people say I post fluff! As for voting--I'm not ready yet. I don't trust Clementine honestly, and I didn't trust her yesterday either. But I also don't think it's in the best town interest to vote for her now, even if her claim is iffy in my eyes. I want to see that pan out a bit more (actually come to think of it, I'm still waiting for her to answer some of my concerns I posted many hours ago now...) so I avoid making a hasty decision. I'm going to re-read the past day(s); I have lots of gut feelings, and maybe on a second thorough read that gut feeling may turn into vote-able evidence.- 256 replies

Blacktron Mafia: Day 2, Space Oddity
Captain Nemo replied to Dannylonglegs's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Well, if you are the godfather, you won't be the barometer--you'd just be claiming an obscure role to pass off your true scummy role. I'll also note that I cannot be the only one finding Clementine's wording strange. Not just the 'we' as Seamus has noted, but rather the "if I was the godfather" speak. I mean come on, that akin to saying: "well officer, I didn't murder that person, but if I did, and if I was the killer, I would have done it just like this..." That just comes off as guilty language to me. Also why are you constantly referring to a godfather rather than the godfather (you are suggesting there is more than one)? What's inherently suspicious of an investigation turning up townie? I mean, you would turn up loyal anyways...because you are town right? Again there's the suggestion that "if I was the godfather"...it's like you're talking out your scummy reasoning in public. I don't discount the small amount of evidence. I've not said much--I'll admit that. As for the backup (and my statement about it, in regards to protecting)--it is not nearly as important of a role now because it has lost almost all of it's potential later significance. It has been exposed. Clementine will now always be suspect to the scum, because they will have to assume that after any of their kills (or any death that occurs) Clementine holds to potential to be a PR. He cannot trap any scum later on either, by claiming the role after a scum-PR-claim. The backup is not nearly as important if every assumes he's got a PR after every death.- 256 replies

Blacktron Mafia: Day 2, Space Oddity
Captain Nemo replied to Dannylonglegs's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
It's late (ironically because it's morning apparently), so I'm only going to drop a short comment on the matter at hand now, before I forget what I was going to say during my nap: In regards to Clementine's claim--I utterly reject the call for our town blocker, whomever it may be, to spend effort protecting him. Clementine, aside from the fact that I think it was stupid to claim now, and more importantly publicly (with such an ability no less)--as it was entirely self interest (you just want a night bodyguard, and to save your own butt; I don't consider this action very town like, at least not with such an ability)--the town blocker should not defend you instead of another non-compromised person/PR. Your supposed ability is entirely passive, and rests solely on the fact that someone more important than you must die first for to work. Until that time, you are essentially vanilla. And so the town blocker must be protecting the more important assets. You are the back up, you shouldn't get first tier protection. It's a risk for the blocker to protect you from here on out. There will be too much scrutiny and danger in protecting you, too high a chance of detection and a chance that an actual PR will be killed. Your barometer ability is passive; and in my opinion was supplied as a plan B for the town block--now everyone knows, and any potential PR save will be compromised, because after every death, the eyes will all be on you. As for claiming in public, it would have been significantly more helpful to the town as a whole to have not done so. But we can't cry over spilled blue space milk at this point.- 256 replies

DC Superheroes 2016 - Rumors and Discussion

Granted this is still 2015, but there is some actual confirmed 'on the shelves' news that have seems to have slipped under our radar. Today, I picked up the latest DC Lego movie, Justice League: Attack of the Legion of Doom; which contains our newest DC minifigure, the Trickster. The movie has actually been on the shelves for around a month now, but if you can you should definitely pick it up. The figure is spectacular--and the movie is seriously good too. DC Superheroes 2016 - Rumors and Discussion
Captain Nemo replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
Yesh. Lots of off topic going on here. On topic, I guess we shouldn't be surprised at how truly vehicle and Batman centric the BvS wave is. Granted I really didn't expect it to be that centric--at least not the Batwing being included. By simple minifigure inclusion too, the Batmobile seems suddenly less interesting--no surprise named villain or anything, and if it is really just two goons, I'm betting their vehicle will be pretty poor looking and/or boring. The Batwing set also sounds pretty large...not sure about this wave, on paper it doesn't sound very interesting, granted it seems better than the MoS wave already.- 8,446 replies

That's surprising. He doesn't seem bad--although I will say I'd much rather have a Matt Smith version. Granted I think I'm more excited for the Cyberman--I hope he ends up in the actual set too, so you don't have to drop $15 on buying multiple fun packs just to army build Cybermen.

Blacktron Mafia: Day 1, Stellar Conflicts
Captain Nemo replied to Dannylonglegs's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Pigs in Spaaaace!!! Incidentally I cannot leave for but an hour without everything crazy going on. But I want to ask this question to Doctor Wen (with a forward of all due respect to his person--no one has not felt embarrassed by Mafia, and so you shouldn't leave Eurobricks over it; this site is supposed to be fun after all, although sometimes with Mafia it may not always seem like it), which has not been brought up: Why should we, as a town, be talking him down from the ledge? We don't know him people! I'm just flabbergasted at this whole situation. From my perspective, he is either a terrible townie, a terrible scum, or some type of disgusting neutral. And while I've yet to see anything that actually leans him in one direction of allegiance over another (that I can tell)--all directions thus far have pointed towards at him being a continual detriment to the town, regardless of his true allegiance. I'm becoming more and more confident in who I'm going to vote for, and unless I can find a reason to change it, I'll be rooting for Doctor Wen to jump.- 214 replies

I'd say you're not a very good advocate by that measure. There's obviously not going to be certainty--there almost never is in the...game...of life. If you cannot tell when the thread is off topic, then you're clearly part of the problem. Don't post gifs, don't post wishlists, and don't try to justify off topic posts by saying "well everyone is doing it". This forum can quickly become unreadable--and it doesn't help that people knowingly contribute to that problem.
